Philadelphia Trumpet Circulation Dropping

COGwriter

The Philadelphia Church of God recently produced the April 2008 edition of its Philadelphia Trumpet magazine.  And it, like other editions has the listed circulation.

Unless otherwise noted, here is what the listed circulation for the March (sometimes a combined March-April issue) has been for the past several years:

  • 2004       344,530
  • 2005       315,435
  • 2006       326,702
  • 2007       295,000
  • March 2008       294,000
  • April 2008          266,301

The circulation trend is currently down.

While magazines were more of PCG’s focus earlier, it  appears to me at least that its building projects (here is one recent news item Philadelphia Church of God Announces “Armstrong Auditorium”) and probably the internet have become more of its focus.

Two articles of related interest may include:

Teachings Unique to the Philadelphia Church of God Simply trying to calling oneself ‘Philadelphia’ or making buildings does not make one Philadelphian (see Revelation 3:7-9), nor does Gerald Flurry calling himself “that prophet” make it so. This article provides many quotes from this group which claims to be faithful.

There are Many COGs: Why Support the Living Church of God? This is an article for those who wish to easily sort out the different COGs. It really should be a MUST READ for current and former WCG members or any interested in supporting the faithful church. It also explains a lot of what the COGs are all about.
