US decision on West Bank settlements is unsettling to many: End of Pax Americana?

There remains concerns over the Trump Administration’s decision regarding the legality of Israeli settlements on the West Bank of the Jordan river. Notice a European report:

U.S. reversal on settlements leaves Palestinians fearing what’s next

23 November 2019

For Jewish settlers, it represented acceptance; for Palestinians betrayal; and for watchers of the conflict it was a precursor of what may come next — the annexation of parts of the West Bank. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo this week reversed decades of American policy when he announced that the United States will no longer consider Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank as necessarily violating international law. …

Naser Abid Alhadi, 59, said in the bustling West Bank city of Ramallah.”They’re killing the peace process,” …

Most of the international community considers the settlements to be illegal under international law …

Chuck Freilich, former deputy national security advisor in Israel, said there was also a general consensus in the country that big settlement blocks such as Gush Etzion and Ma’ale Adumim would be part of Israel in the future …

Recognizing Israeli Settlements Marks the Final Collapse of Pax Americana

By declaring earlier this week that the United States does not consider Israeli settlements in the West Bank illegal—and thereby recognizing some form of Israeli sovereignty over the occupied territory—President Donald Trump’s administration not only undercut over 50 years of U.S. foreign policy, it also undermined the basis for the United States’ objection to Russia’s land grab in Crimea, China’s absorption of Tibet in the 1950s and current designs on the South China Sea, and any future move by either to extend their borders to places where they can assert—even a flimsy—historic or ethnic rationale.

That the entire episode contradicts the United Nations Charter, of which the United States was a co-author, is hardly surprising at this point: For Trump, the U.N. may well be merely another skyscraper in Manhattan that would look better with his name on top. To the rest of the world, however, the decision will mark the final collapse of Pax Americana, the overly simplistic but still valid idea that U.S. military, economic, and diplomatic power has helped the world avoid a third world war through a combination of deterring revanchism, selective intervention, and global economic and diplomatic institution-building. …

Like the British Empire in its final years, Trump may soon learn that walking away from a stabilizing role in complex global conflicts cedes global influence that may never come back.

Yes, there is soon coming an end to PAX Americana. The British Empire ended and the end of the Anglo-American world order is getting closer.

Here is a definition of Pax Americana from Wikipedia:

Pax Americana (Latin for “American Peace”, modeled after Pax Romana, Pax Britannica, and Pax Mongolica) is a term applied to the concept of relative peace in the Western Hemisphere and later the world beginning around the middle of the 20th century, thought to be caused by the preponderance of power enjoyed by the United States. (Pax Americana. Wikipedia, accessed 11/23/19)

The end of US dominance is getting closer.

Yesterday,  Breaking Israel News (BIN) reported that 200 Israeli rabbis signed a document thank US President Donald Trump for fulfilling prophecies in Jeremiah 31 because of his Administration’s change of position on Israeli settlements. But it did not (see BIN: Over 200 Israeli Rabbis Sign Letter Thanking Trump for “Fulfilling Prophecy of Jeremiah”; COGwriter: Donald Trump did NOT just fulfill Jeremiah 31:22-25).

Instead, we are seeing more and more international condemnation of the USA’s position as well as the USA’s role in the world.

This settlement decision, along with statements related to NATO, trade, sanctions, climate change, Jerusalem, and other Trump Administration policies is upsetting much of the world.

Many leaders in Europe see this and are working to replace USA hegemony with a world order Europe will control.

The Bible teaches that will happen (cf. Revelation 13).

The situation in the Middle East will be a factor.

A European leader will arise promising some version of Pax Europa.

He will be involved with a peace deal in the Middle East:

26 And the people of the prince who is to come
Shall destroy the city and the sanctuary.
The end of it shall be with a flood,
And till the end of the war desolations are determined.
27 Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week;
But in the middle of the week
He shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering.
And on the wing of abominations shall be one who makes desolate,
Even until the consummation, which is determined,
Is poured out on the desolate (Daniel 9:26-27).

The above is referring to a deal or covenant that has a time element attached to it confirmed by a “prince” who is European. We know this is a European because it was a European force that destroyed the city of Jerusalem and temple in 70 A.D. This prince will get some credit for a peace deal–even though the Bible later shows he will essentially betray the deal (Daniel 11:31).

But before he betrays it, the ‘Prince’ will rise up further while promising peace.

Notice what the Bible teaches:

25 And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand. (Daniel 8:25, KJV).

23 And after the league is made with him he shall act deceitfully, for he shall come up and become strong with a small number of people. 24 He shall enter peaceably, even into the richest places of the province; and he shall do what his fathers have not done, nor his forefathers: he shall disperse among them the plunder, spoil, and riches; and he shall devise his plans against the strongholds, but only for a time. (Daniel 11:23-24, NKJV)

So this leader gives people the impression that there will be “peace” and is involved in some type of deal. This is the same leader that confirms the covenant in Daniel 9:27. The term is translated as “peace” in Daniel 8:25 is from the Hebrew term shalvah and essentially means security. In other words, this leader will destroy “many” who are under the impression that they are secure because of some type of security and/or trade arrangement. Such arrangements are now commonly referred to as peace deals or treaties.

It will be the end of Pax Americana.

And this will not end well for the USA (Daniel 11:39) nor its British-descended allies (cf. Isaiah 17:3; Daniel 8:24-25). Nor many of the countries of the Middle East and North Africa (Daniel 11:40-43).

However, because less and less understand biblical prophecies, we will see the temporary rise of Pax Europa, which will ultimately also end in disaster for Europe (cf. Daniel 11:44-45; Jeremiah 50:41-43).

Jerusalem, Donald Trump, and Prophecy On December 6, 2017, US President Donald Trump fulfilled a campaign promise related to the recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital. This brought anger, protests, and rockets from some Palestinians. It also brought condemnation from European allies–it has been claimed to be disruptive and even catastrophic. The Palestinian President (Mahmoud Abbas) said that this pronouncement eliminated the USA as being a fair mediator for a peace deal. Others have claimed that Donald Trump is an end time Cyrus and his pronouncement will lead to a Third Temple in Jerusalem. Is there ever going to be a peace deal? If so, will Europeans be part of it? Is Donald Trump a ‘Cyrus.’ Do the Jews require a Third Temple for sacrifices? Dr. Thiel answer those questions and more in this video.

Trump Presidency Magic 8 Ball or Bible Prophecy? BBC reported that one might as well use a ‘Magic Eight-Ball’ to try to predict what will happen in the remaining time of Donald Trump’s presidency. Dr. Thiel not only explains that, but also briefly goes over 10 biblically-based warnings he wrote would happen if Donald Trump were elected that have already began to come to pass.
