This is a part of a ‘geopolitical earthquake.’  It is more significant than most realize, but there are parts missing in the above reports.

First of all, because how the numbers are counted, it is my view that China passed the U.S.A. up some time ago.  But even using the IMF’s numbers, China’s economy going from 1/10th the size of the the U.S.A.’s to passing it in 20 years is a major accomplishment.

Secondly, those who believe that the current world order with the U.S.A., and previously the U.K., on top will continue indefinitely are in error.  Major economic changes are occurring and the U.S.A. is going from being the “head” to the “tail.”  Notice the following biblical prophecy:

15 “But it shall come to pass, if you do not obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments and His statutes which I command you today, that all these curses will come upon you and overtake you: …

43 “The alien who is among you shall rise higher and higher above you, and you shall come down lower and lower. 44 He shall lend to you, but you shall not lend to him; he shall be the head, and you shall be the tail.  (Deuteronomy 28:15, 43-44)

The U.S.A., like Britain before it, is no longer going to be the head.

Now, I did look over the IMF report.  And, yes, if you look at individual nations, China is number 1 according to it.  The IMF also projects that China’s economy will grow faster than that of the U.S.A.’s for basically the rest of this decade.

Yet, the third main point to mention is that the IMF report does not show is what the actual largest economy in the world.  The world’s largest economy is not that of China nor the U.S.A.  The world’s largest economy is that of the European Union.  The European Union is clearly, at minimum, an economic union of nations, many of which now share the same currency.

Although it will have economic and other difficulties consistent with biblical prophecies (e.g. Daniel 2:41-43), the European Union is the world’s largest economy (the U.K. will NOT remain part of it as it is indefinitely).  The Bible also shows that a European power will dominate world trade even more in the future (Revelation 18).

While most have noticed China’s rise on the world economic scene, that of the European Union has been ‘under the radar’ for many.  It is still overlooked by most.  But according to the Bible, it will be a European power that will rise up and dominate the world (watch also Can You Prove that the Beast to Come is European?).

Despite the headlines, China will not dominate the world (watch also Is China THE Threat to the United States of America?).  China will have its own problems, but for a time (Revelation 13:4-8) will support the rising European economic beast power.
