‘Smoke of Satan’ discussed at pontifical conclave

A reader sent me a link of an article which contained the following:

Pope electors told of ‘Smoke of Satan’ in Vatican

Message to conclave echoes earlier warnings of evil ‘superforce’ descending on Church…

It’s a matter so dark and serious it has only been whispered about behind closed doors in Vatican circles by courageous priests such as the late John F. O’Connor, Alfred Kunz and the late Malachi Martin.

But now, thanks to the release by the Holy See of an official bulletin titled “Acta Apostolicae Sedis,” it has been confirmed that the papal conclave that elected Pope Francis March 13 heard a message, immediately before the voting, from a senior cardinal dealing directly with the threat of “The Smoke of Satan” descending on the Vatican itself.

The meditation about “that which Christ wants from his Church” was delivered by Maltese Prosper Grech, an 87-year-old Augustinian…http://www.wnd.com/2013/08/pope-electors-told-of-smoke-of-satan-in-vatican/#tr2XPQ2I3AjY05a3.99

Groundbreaking: The Last Warning to the Pope’s Electors

The official bulletin of the Holy See has lifted the secrecy from the meditation dictated to the cardinals at the beginning of the last conclave, with the doors already closed. Here are the essential passages

The Holy See has an official bulletin entitled “Acta Apostolicae Sedis.” It is written in Latin, while the documents reproduced there are in the original languages. Its issues can be read on the Vatican website beginning with that of 1909:

> Acta Apostolicae Sedis

Since 2003 it has been issued in monthly booklets with the pages numbered starting in January. The latest booklet taken to press is also the first of Francis’s pontificate:

> Acta Apostolicae Sedis, 5 aprilis – 3 Maii 2013

It contains among other things the proceedings of the conclave that on March 13, 2013 elected pope Jorge Mario Bergoglio. With one innovation with respect to what was already known.

The innovation – previously covered by secrecy – is the complete text of the meditation dictated to the grand electors on March 12, behind closed doors, immediately before the start of the voting.

The cardinal charged with the meditation was the Maltese Prosper Grech, an Augustinian, 87 years old…

“The action you are about to carry out within this Sistine Chapel…”

by Prosper Grech…

The evil spirit of the world, the “mysterium iniquitatis” (2 Thes 2:7), constantly strives to infiltrate the Church. Moreover, let us not forget the warning of the prophets of ancient Israel not to seek alliances with Babylon or with Egypt, but to follow a pure policy “ex fide” trusting solely in God (cf. Is 30:1; 31:1-3; Hos 12:2) and in his covenant. Courage! Christ relieves our minds when he exclaims: “Have trust, I have overcome the world” (Jn 16:33). […]

No less easy for the future pontiff will be the task of keeping unity in the Catholic Church itself…

English translation by Matthew Sherry, Ballwin, Missouri, U.S.A.  (http://chiesa.espresso.repubblica.it/articolo/1350575?eng=y)

Here is the Latin from the Vatican’s own website:

> Acta Apostolicae Sedis, 5 aprilis – 3 Maii 2013

The mystery of iniquity originally entered Rome in the first and/or second centuries A.D. in the biblical context, and has not left.

As far as the “smoke of Satan” entering the Church of Rome, this is something that was brought up by Pope Paul VI decades ago.  Here is some of what I wrote about it in my book Fatima Shock!:

1972  is  considered  significant  by  many  because  of statements from the pontiff at the time:

Pope Paul VI spoke on June 29 at St. Peter’s Basilica and said: “By means of some fissure, the smoke of Satan has entered the temple of God…”338

Because  of  the  above  statement,  some  believe  that this confirmed that the third message of Fatima had to do with sin/Satan entering/taking over the Church of Rome beginning in 1972 (though this speech, according to Desmond Birch, whom I checked with, was not intended to have anything to do with Fatima).339

In a radio interview in 1998, Priest Malachi Martin stated that the third secret was related to a pope being under the control of Satan.340   He claimed he had first read the “Secret” (or a transcription of it) in February 1960 when Cardinal Agostino Bea showed it to him.341

But irrespective of that, notice also the following:

Vatican Chief Exorcist Priest Gabriele Amorth said:  “he has dealt with 70,000 cases of demonic possession, said that the consequences of Satanic infiltration included power struggles at the Vatican as well as “cardinals who do not believe in Jesus, and bishops who are linked to the Demon“. He added: “When one speaks of ‘the smoke of Satan’ [a phrase coined by Pope Paul VI in 1972] in the holy rooms, it is all true – including these latest stories of violence and paedophilia.”342

Both biblical and Catholic prophesy tell of a coming ecumenical religious leader (who sounds like an antipope) that will not really believe in his faith.  Such leaders are already in the Vatican if people such as Priest Amorth can be believed.

Because of reports mentioning 1972 and other problems, some who call themselves Catholic believe that the previous pope and current pontiff have not been truly faithful to the Church of Rome.

I, however, do believe that the current Pope Benedict XVI is committed to the Roman Catholic faith as he understands it—but the one who replaces him may not be. If a combination of certain Catholic prophecies is correct, the next pope is likely to be an antipope/antichrist (see chapter 11).

And that is also a biblical possibility.

In my view, all the Marian emphasis of the current Pope Francis is consistent with smoke from Satan.

Could Pope Francis be the Last Pope and Antichrist? According to some interpretations of the prophecies of the popes by the Catholic saint and Bishop Malachy, Pope Francis I is in the position of “Peter the Roman,” the pontiff who reigns during tribulations until around the time of the destruction of Rome. Do biblical prophecies warn of someone that sounds like Peter the Roman? Could Francis I be the heretical antipope of Catholic private prophecies and the final Antichrist of Bible prophecy? This is a YouTube video.
The Malachy Prophecies and “Peter the Roman” An Irish bishop allegedly predicted something about 112 popes in the 12th century. Pope Benedict XVI was number 111. Francis would seem to be number 112–if he is that one–and if so, he is to reign until Rome is destroyed. May he be an antipope/final Antichrist?

Some Doctrines of Antichrist Are there any doctrines taught outside the Churches of God which can be considered as doctrines of antichrist? This article suggests at least three. It also provides information on 666 and the identity of “the false prophet.” Plus it shows that several Catholic writers seem to warn about an ecumenical antipope that will support heresy. What Do Roman Catholic Scholars Actually Teach About Early Church History? Although most believe that the Roman Catholic Church history teaches an unbroken line of succession of bishops beginning with Peter, with stories about most of them, Roman Catholic scholars know the truth of this matter. Is telling the truth about the early church citing Catholic accepted sources anti-Catholic? This eye-opening article is a must-read for any who really wants to know what Roman Catholic history actually admits about the early church.
