Iran Unleashes Large Drone Swarm Attacks on Several Ships
Iran state media is releasing footage of its own Saturday action against US assets in the Strait of Hormuz on Saturday, as part of the fresh weekend tit-for-tat fighting with the United States. Per state PressTV and IRIB, it seems Tehran is saying it has targeted six vessels:
- The IRGC targets three US-related vessels and three oil tankers in the Hormuz Strait, warning all vessels against choosing unauthorized routes to transit Hormuz.
- In response to US attacks on three Iranian tankers, Iran has targeted three vessels in the unauthorized route of the Strait of Hormuz, along with three American ships.

The IRGC Navy is claiming a “response” to US aggression: “This morning, the terrorist and aggressor US military, in a brutal act born of desperation from the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, attacked three oil tankers belonging to the Islamic Republic, causing damage,” the force said in a statement on Saturday. This isn’t just another war in the Middle East. The conflict that began on October 7th, 2023 has been raging for nearly 3 years now, and it is a battle for all the marbles. As you will see below, Israel’s goal is regime change in Iran. Of course Iran’s goal is to completely wipe Israel from the map. So there is never going to be any sort of a “peace agreement” between Israel and Iran. Both sides are going to continue to fight to achieve their goals until one or the other wins.
The high holiday season is about to arrive in Israel, and Defense Minister Israel Katz is warning that Israel will “respond with great force” if Iran chooses to attack…
Israel is prepared for a possible attack from Iranian forces over the Jewish high holiday season, which begins in mid-September, said Katz.
If Iran attacks, Israel will “respond with great force, independently of anyone else,” Katz said, adding that “our planes are ready to take off.”
“They like to attack on Jewish holidays because, after all, they hate Jews. Look at the many things that have happened in the past. But we are prepared both defensively and offensively, in coordination with the United States in this regard,” Katz said.

In fact, more fighting between the two could literally erupt at any moment.
Israel’s stance on Iran has never changed.

Well, a temporary peace is prophesied for the Middle East in Daniel 9:26-27 (see also The ‘Peace Deal’ of Daniel 9:27)–but there will be more war and destruction before then.
Let me add that what the Jews call Rosh Hashana begins at sunset 11 September 2026.
Israel has been attacked on Holy Days before. Israel was attacked on the Day of Atonement on October 6, 1973, in what has been called the Yom Kippur War. And October 7th, 2023 was what the Jews call Shemini ‘Azeret and we call the Last Great Day.

In Israel, it is believed that Iran is preparing for a large-scale coordinated attack against the country from several directions at once. According to assessments cited by The Jerusalem Post, Tehran seeks to involve its own forces, the Lebanese group Hezbollah, Hamas, Yemen’s Houthis, and pro-Iranian armed groups in Iraq in a single campaign.
Coordination across several fronts
Israeli assessments indicate that the plan envisages simultaneous actions on several fronts. Such a scenario would differ from the Hamas attack on October 7, when Iran’s other allies did not launch coordinated large-scale actions simultaneously with the attack from the Gaza Strip.
Documents seized from Hamas in the Gaza Strip after the attack contained instructions on the need to “connect and prepare external fronts” — in particular, in Lebanon, Syria, and Sinai. As long time readers of this COGwriter Church of God News page are aware, a coordinated attack against Israel by an Iranian led confederation is prophesied in Isaiah.

WATCH IRAN AND ISRAEL as we seem to be very close to the time that Isaiah 22:5-11 is about to be fulfilled. Here is what the Bible says:
5 For it is a day of trouble and treading down and perplexity By the Lord God of hosts In the Valley of Vision — Breaking down the walls And of crying to the mountain.
6 Elam bore the quiver With chariots of men and horsemen, And Kir uncovered the shield. 7 It shall come to pass that your choicest valleys Shall be full of chariots, And the horsemen shall set themselves in array at the gate. 8 He removed the protection of Judah. You looked in that day to the armor of the House of the Forest; 9 You also saw the damage to the city of David, That it was great; And you gathered together the waters of the lower pool. 10 You numbered the houses of Jerusalem, And the houses you broke down To fortify the wall.

Iran (Elam), Syria (Kir), Hezbollah (armor of the House of the Forest) and Israel (Judah) are to be engaged in major conflict. …
Donald Trump, leaders in the Middle East, and leaders in Europe have all discussed various peace deals. Essentially, they tend to be advocating one similar to the deal in Daniel 9:27.
Various Palestinian statements point to at least some in Europe will be involved, and may take the lead, on this deal. The Hamas-Israel war is a spark and one day we expect to see a larger war in the Middle East.
So, this is something to look out for as that is consistent with biblical prophecy.
What appears most likely at this stage is the Trump-Vance Administration will try to work with the Palestinians and Europeans to come up with something they will find acceptable and then attempt to pressure Israel to take it.
Though it likely will take a regional war involving Iran, Syria, Hezbollah, and Israel, with the prophesied destruction coming to Jerusalem. This is something we may see in 2026.
Once the deal is made, it will at some point be confirmed for one prophetic week (which could happen some time AFTER a deal is made) by the “prince,” the seven-year countdown for the return of Jesus occurs.
It is possible that we may be seeing an escalation of war and possibly a prophesied peace deal in 2026. And that will essentially begin the countdown to the Apocalypse (meaning, in this case, the Great Tribulation).
While the end is not yet, it is getting much closer. As Jesus said:
