European Union requires digital wallet to be offered in all EU nations by the end of 2026

By the end of 2026, every EU country must legally offer citizens a European Digital Identity Wallet. This smartphone app holds a person’s government ID, driving licence, diploma, and other verified documents in one place and is designed to work across all 27 EU countries.

Digital rights groups warn the technology and the safeguards meant to protect it are not ready and that the wallet could become exactly the kind of surveillance tool it was designed to prevent.

“We are at maybe 50-60% of the technical standards that are needed to build this wallet,” says Thomas Lohninger, executive director of Austrian digital rights group epicenter.works and a board member of European Digital Rights (EDRi). “The other 40% are not there yet. They do not exist.” …

The regulation mandates technical defences: tamper-resistant cryptographic hardware to store keys, credentials bound to a specific device so they can’t be copied, authentication for any organisation requesting data, and a rule requiring users to be notified within 24 hours of a revoked credential. …

Centralising a person’s identity, health data, driving licence, and financial credentials on one device raises the cost of a single security failure. A stolen phone, malicious app, or cloud breach could expose everything at once. …

The wallet’s core privacy pledge is selective disclosure: someone proving they are over 18 should be able to share only that fact, not their name, address or ID number. The EDPS calls this “authorisation without identification”, a defence against tracking and profiling that a physical ID card can’t offer.

Lohninger frames the risk as “over-identification.” Verifying someone’s identity online is currently slow and costly; banks and mobile carriers pay to do it under anti-money-laundering rules. The wallet could make identification very fast, cheap, and widely available, he warns. This creates an incentive to strip away anonymity that currently exists on social networks or in email sign-ups.

He also raises what EDRi calls the “panopticon” risk. The same wallet could be used for taxes, healthcare, public transport, banking and logging into Facebook; previously separate areas of life could become linkable through one system. “These areas of life could become connected,” he says. “There’s this big risk of a panopticon where you can really see everything from everyone.” …

The Digital Identity Wallet is a free app that users can download on their mobile devices. It reduces reliance on major tech companies’ storage solutions, like Apple and Google Wallet, and on national systems, while giving users more control over their personal data.

The EUDI Wallet is part of the eIDAS 2.0 Regulation, which aims to create a single digital market for electronic identification. It’s a digital identity app for citizens, residents, and businesses in the EU that simplifies document storage, streamlines digital identification, and makes it more secure and reliable. …

Even though the legal framework forbids member states from tracking wallet usage, the application still has to communicate with government servers to check if a credential is valid. If a state implements a centralised verification system, it creates a digital trail. So, a system that is risky (with less ties to USA tech) and can be used to eliminate a lot of privacy is to be pushed on citizens of all the nations in the European Union.

The elite are already running large-scale pilot schemes for the future they want and we don’t. They are not being subtle about this. They are not hiding it.

The plan is a single government-issued app that holds your medical records, employment records, travel records, education records, vaccination records, tax records, financial records as well as (potentially) copies of your signature, fingerprints, facial scans, voice samples and DNA.

All stored handily on your phone…and shared with the governments of nineteen countries (plus Ukraine) and over 140 other public and private partners. Everyone from Deutsche Bank to the Ukrainian Ministry of Digital Progress to Samsung Europe.

The German Federation of Consumer Organizations (Verbraucherzentrale Bundesverband, VZBZ) has raised concerns that such an app would “pose privacy and data risks”, to which the only response is “duh, that’s what it’s for!”.

The 13th chapter of the Book of Revelation tells about a totalitarian leader called the Beast rising up and controlling buying and selling (cf. Revelation 13:16-18).

But he does more than that. He and the Antichrist (also, verse 11, called the “beast coming up out of the earth”) also tries to control worship:

11 Then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth, and he had two horns like a lamb and spoke like a dragon. 12 And he exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence, and causes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. 13 He performs great signs, so that he even makes fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men. 14 And he deceives those who dwell on the earth by those signs which he was granted to do in the sight of the beast, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who was wounded by the sword and lived. 15 He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed. Since COVID, governments around the world imposed new limits on buying and selling as well as travel and worship. Never in the history of humanity have so many governments imposed so many totalitarian steps so quickly. And then there was the call from Klaus Schwab of the World Economic Forum (WEF) for a ‘great reset’ to change society–and it is basically a totalitarian society the WEF and others are pushing for (see Is a Great Reset Coming?).

Over in Europe they are pushing for a digital identification which is expected to be used when you sign on, use your phone, buy anything, travel anywhere, etc. …

Participating in society includes the ability to use a computer, communicate, buy goods, and travel, to name just a few–and the EU’s Digital Services Acts can affect all of that and more.

The globalists want to be able to monitor who is buying or saying anything.

Furthermore, if there were to be carbon passports, that would likely be tied in with your purchases so you could be monitored by some official view of how much harm your purchases cause the environment.

This is helping set the stage for the rise of the Beast who will gain power after the 4th seal of Revelation (which is the ride of the pale horse of death) is opened.

George Orwell wrote a book titled 1984 which was a novel about a society where people were surveilled by their government and not allowed to see information that the government did not want them to. Such a society is basically being prepared.

Expect to see various new totalitarian steps implemented and/or proposed in 2026.

Pushing the digital wallet to all EU citizens is a push toward a totalitarian step.
