The Europeans continue to work on their military:

Tank-killing missile tests ‘Europe First’ weapons policy

COLOGNE, Germany — The defense chiefs of France, Belgium and Cyprus have signed an agreement to pursue a common anti-tank missile meant for wider adoption in Europe …

Pan-European missile company MBDA has claimed the project as its own since officials announced it under the Permanent Structured Cooperation framework, or PESCO, in fall 2018. …

According to still-emerging rules for access to European defense projects, only members of the European Economic Area are eligible for EDF funding and collaboration-inducing mechanisms promised by PESCO. …

In the end, it seems a good number of PESCO projects come with a vendor team pushing a specific product under the banner or European unity. https://www.defensenews.com/global/europe/2019/09/19/tank-killing-missile-tests-europe-first-weapons-policy/

There are four items to mention about this:

  1. An emphasis on Europe First
  2. This is another European military move
  3. Europe wants to develop its own military production abilities
  4. This is being done under the intention for European unity

So, what is the intention of European unity?

Well, an empire.

Europe is mentioned, prophetically, in various parts of the Bible.

It should be pointed out that the leader of the ten-horned Beast of Revelation 13:1-10 and the one called 666 in Revelation 13:18 (see SDA/COG Differences: 666) is also the one who the Bible shows is the final King of the North.

The Bible shows that at “the appointed time,” something will trigger the King of the North going towards the south:

29 At the appointed time he shall return and go toward the south; but it shall not be like the former or the latter. 30 For ships from Cyprus shall come against him; therefore he shall be grieved, and return in rage against the holy covenant, and do damage. So he shall return and show regard for those who forsake the holy covenant (Daniel 11:29-30).

Note: the Hebrew term translated as “Cyprus” in the NKJV is a mistranslation. The KJV uses the term Chittim which means “Western lands.” Hence the King of the North will apparently be temporarily stopped by a Western naval power (see also Germany in Biblical and Catholic Prophecy).

Here is another translation of it:

30 For warships from western coastlands will scare him off, and he will withdraw and return home. But he will vent his anger against the people of the holy covenant and reward those who forsake the covenant. (Daniel 11:30 New Living Translation 1996 Greg Laurie).

A similar passage is in Numbers 24:24, which according to Numbers 24:14, is for the latter times:

14 … Come, I will advise you what this people will do to your people in the latter days. (Numbers 24:14)

24 But ships shall come from the coasts of Cyprus, And they shall afflict Asshur and afflict Eber, And so shall Amalek, until he perishes. (Numbers 24:24)

24 But ships will come from the direction of Kittim, troubling Asshur and troubling Eber, and like the others their fate will be destruction. (Numbers 24:24. Bible in Basic English, BBE)

24 And ships shall come from the coast of Kittim (Cyprus), and shall afflict Asshur (Assyria), and shall afflict ‘Ever (i.e., Region beyond the River [Euphrates]), and he also shall be unto destruction. (Numbers 24:24, Orthodox Jewish Bible, OJB)

The above, including parenthetical comments, was copied in its entirety. And while I, like certain various theologians, believe that Kittim should be translated as “western lands.” As far as this Asshur being Assyria, this was also the position of the Commentary of Rashan (as cited in Davidiy Y. The Tribes, 4th edition. Russell-David Publishers, 2011, p.269).

Now, the direction of Kittim/Cyprus is from the west.

Thus, we see a Western naval power troubles descendants of Asshur/Assyria Asshur is a reference to Germanic middle Europe in the end times (see Germany’s Assyrian Roots Throughout History and Germany in Biblical and Catholic Prophecy).(many of whom now seem to be residing in Europe, see Germany’s Assyrian Roots Throughout History, see also Anglo–America in Prophecy & the Lost Tribes of Israel for more of a discussion of Numbers 24:24). Warning the world that the King of the North is fulfilling Bible prophecy when he does this is likely to be part of the “short work” of Romans 9:28 that God will accomplish through His most faithful.

Here is a Catholic writing related to this passage in Daniel 11, that I noticed in 2012, and what follows:

It seems he will probably be defeated by certain people of the Western nations, who will give him a naval battle…(11:30).  But he will soon recover from this defeat. (Huchedé P. History of Antichrist. Imprimatur Edward Charles Fabre, Bishop of Montreal, First English edition 1884. 1976 reprint from TAN Books, Rockford (IL), p. 22)

Well, it will not actually be a disastrous defeat. It may even be portrayed as some type of misunderstanding.

No later than 2003, I first thought that Daniel 11:30 could be referring to United States warships alarming the European King of the North. Then in 2008, I came across the following in a book written about Catholic prophecies by Gerald Culleton:

Countess Francesca de Billiante (died 1935): When the land with the great fleet enters the Mediterranean (England or the United States?) then Europe will tremble…God will save Rome (Culleton, The Prophets and Our Times, p. 226).

Note: The comments ( ) in are from the Catholic writer Gerald Culleton.  And while he did not connect this Catholic prophecy to Daniel 11:30 in that writing, that passage certainly may be related.

Because the Bible shows that the spirit world has knowledge of scripture (Matthew 4:5–6), it would appear that some spirits, inspired this and certain private prophets to make a variety of statements throughout history to try to confuse people at the end.  The statement from the Countess may have been intended to tell the Europeans that they should not be too afraid of the coming “American” ships.

In light of this, notice something a reader sent me a link to:

When The European Union Becomes An Empire, Its Clash With The United States Is Inevitable

September 17, 2019

“The world order of tomorrow is not a world order based on nation-states or countries, it’s a world order that is based on empires,”said former Belgian Prime Minister Guy Verhofstadt, the current leader of the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe in the European Parliament, in a barn-storming speech in the Liberal-Democrat conference in London.

“China is not a nation, it’s a civilization. … The U.S. is also an empire, more than a nation — maybe tomorrow they will speak more Spanish than English, I don’t know what will happen. And then finally, the Russian Federation,” he continued. “The world of tomorrow is a world of empires, in which we Europeans and you British can only defend your interests, your way of life, by doing it together in a European framework and a European Union.” …

Dealing with the EU Empire

To return therefore to the problem at hand, the European Union is shaping into an empire, and sooner or later the United States, as a maritime great power, will come into conflict with it. That is a structural issue, and it is inevitable. Any power consolidating the European landmass would have so much material, financial, and demographic power, it would be a threat to other land and maritime powers around, including the United States, United Kingdom, or even Russia.

As I have repeatedly said, the EU as one single empire under one flag, one liberal faith, and one fiscal and military union will never coexist with an American-led world. Sooner or later, due to their difference of interests, Washington and Brussels will be on opposing ends.

The EU won’t need to match toe to toe with U.S. military might. It can simply have a separate currency to the dollar’s domination and take away the U.S.’s financial coercive power of sanctions, or even worse, throw its weight behind China or even Russia against U.S. companies.

The U.S. policymakers who still think geopolitically will have to think of “divide and rule” for EU sooner or later. And the U.K. will have to decide whether to side with the EU empire or American empire.

All of that is true and inevitable, and someone should remember this column when that comes to pass. But more importantly, any Brit and American who values sovereignty needs to realize that, more than the EU, the issue at hand is internationalists within, working tirelessly to capture the institutions to promote their stateless and genderless egalitarian utopia.

(Maitra S. When The European Union Becomes An Empire, Its Clash With The United States Is Inevitable. September 17, 2019)

Yes, conflict between the USA and Europe is coming. And yes, many in Europe believe they are working towards a utopian empire. On May 6, 2016, while receiving the Charlemagne Prize for promoting European unity, Pope Francis stated that he dreamed of a European utopia (for more information, watch Pope Francis dreams of a Babylonian utopia).

Despite some improper claims on Daniel 11, notice that a major battle is not shown to have occurred in verse 30; it may only involve a show of naval force. Thus, that verse may possibly indicate that this is when the European Beast power may temporarily make a deceptive deal with a major Western power (probably the United States) which will ultimately allow it to destroy the USA and its English-speaking allies (see also verse 39).

The Bible shows that the coming European/Babylonian power will invade and take over the United States and its Anglo allies:

39 Thus he shall act against the strongest fortresses with a foreign god, which he shall acknowledge, and advance its glory; and he shall cause them to rule over many, and divide the land for gain (Daniel 11:39).

It is the USA and its Anglo-allies that currently have “the strongest fortresses.”

The Bible shows that Europe will be a warring power (Daniel 11:39-44). It also shows that the success of the European Beast, King of the North, power will cause the world to marvel as well as defeat the strongest military power:

3 And I saw one of his heads as if it had been mortally wounded, and his deadly wound was healed. And all the world marveled and followed the beast. 4 So they worshiped the dragon who gave authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?” (Revelation 13:3-4)

The Beast of Revelation 13 and the “he” of Daniel 11:39 is a European leader, also called the King of the North. Notice that the strongest military power–which currently is the USA–will be taken over.

Europe is looking to arise militarily. And it is now starting to tell the world publicly that it intends to do so. The world will be surprised when conquering by Europe will happen, which is part of why I have long written that European technology will be a key factor in this (as will be deception and problems in the USA).

The Bible teaches that the European King of the North will end up with a “great army” (Daniel 11:25).

While Europe has been relying on the USA for defense, the time will come when Europe concludes it not only does not need the USA, but that it wants to take it over!

The Bible teaches that this will come to pass (Daniel 11:39; see also USA in Prophecy: The Strongest Fortresses).

The UK and USA, historically, have opposed the idea of a separate European army, but instead have attempted to get the continental Europeans to be more involved in the North American Treaty Organization (NATO). Having a separate European army means that Europe will be better able to act independently of NATO, but by keeping NATO, it gives the Europeans a unique tactical advantage over the USA and UK.

We are seeing Europe changing and working to build its military–yet the mainstream press pays little, if any, attention to it.

Understand that the current Anglo-American dominated world order will NOT continue (watch End of the Anglo-American Order and/or The New World Order Is Leaving the US Behind).

Europe will ultimately use its military in a way that will lead to the end of the USA (Daniel 11:39; see also USA in Prophecy: The Strongest Fortresses).

When you see the conflict of Daniel 11:30 please understand that the end of the USA will be very near. Even though this will likely be later portrayed by the governments and pundits as some type of misunderstanding.

Consider the following:

3 For when they say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape. (1 Thessalonians 5:3)

This is likely to happen right after Daniel 11:30 is fulfilled.

Notice, now, the next verse:

4 But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief.  (1 Thessalonians 5:4)

When you see Daniel 11:30 fulfilled, understand that the Great Tribulation (Matthew 24:21) will be at the door.
