There have been many protests in the USA related to immigrants and the enforcement of US immigration law by federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) police.

DHS has issued a statement regarding the incident:

At 9:05 AM CT, as DHS law enforcement officers were conducting a targeted operation in Minneapolis against an illegal alien wanted for violent assault, an individual approached US Border Patrol officers with a 9 mm semi-automatic handgun, seen here.

The officers attempted to disarm the suspect but the armed suspect violently resisted. More details on the armed struggle are forthcoming.

Fearing for his life and the lives and safety of fellow officers, an agent fired defensive shots. Medics on scene immediately delivered medical aid to the subject but was pronounced dead at the scene.

The suspect also had 2 magazines and no ID—this looks like a situation where an individual wanted to do maximum damage and massacre law enforcement.

About 200 rioters arrived at the scene and began to obstruct and assault law enforcement on the scene, crowd control measures were deployed for the safety of the public and law enforcement.

As noted by DHS, protesters have come out in force, resulting in the deployment of tear gas.

Federal Border Patrol agents fatally shot a Minneapolis man Saturday morning. This is the third shooting involving federal agents since Renee Good was fatally shot by an ICE agent on Jan. 7.

Federal authorities say the man who was shot was armed. Border Patrol Commander Greg Bovino did not state if the man pulled a gun or where the gun was when he was shot. The man had a legal permit to carry, is a U.S. citizen and lives in Minneapolis, according to Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara.

Protesters have gathered at the scene of the shooting. Chemical irritants are being used on the large crowds. Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara called the protest an unlawful assembly.

Border Patrol Commander Greg Bovino says federal law enforcement has been “under attack” in Minneapolis. Bovino said officers fired “defensive shots” at the man, who was armed.

Currently, nearly half of the country blames those shot for getting in the way of ICE agents trying to do their job, while much of the rest blame the ICE agents and the President of the United States for what happened.

There is major divide in the USA.

We continue to see a lot of protests from those opposed to ICE and Donald Trump.

Jesus warned:

25 Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand. (Matthew 12:25)

24 If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. 25 And if a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand. (Mark 3:24-25)

17 … Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and a house divided against a house falls. (Luke 11:17)

The divide in the USA is to that nation’s peril.

More protests are expected to happen across the USA related to ICE and Donald Trump.

This type of matter was not unexpected.

Last month, in my article titled 26 items to prophetically watch in 2026, I wrote the following:

16. Unrest, Terror, and the Dividing of the USA

There have been many protests in the USA.

Some protested racial, economic, and policing matters. Some have called for a “civil war.”

The Bible prophesies, “There shall be terror within” (Deuteronomy 32:25).

Will that happen to the USA?

Yes.

More terror is prophesied to hit the USA. Terror is prophesied to hit Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom.

Jesus taught:

25 Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand. (Matthew 12:25)

We are seeing more divide in the USA and parts of it certainly appear to be intentional. Much of it is ideological. The USA is becoming less and less united and more polarized.

Deporting people may cause unrest in the USA.

Deporting people may cause unrest in Europe.

Expect protests, including violence, in the USA. …

Expect more divide in a nation where half of its people cannot tell the different between males and females and the other half still sticks to some facts about that. And of course, there is the abortion divide, migrant matters, and other issues.

In general, the mainstream media has tended to be on the side of the protesters.

Notice a generational warning from two books of the Bible:

11 There is a generation that curses its father,
And does not bless its mother.
12 There is a generation that is pure in its own eyes,
Yet is not washed from its filthiness.
13 There is a generation — oh, how lofty are their eyes!
And their eyelids are lifted up.
14 There is a generation whose teeth are like swords,
And whose fangs are like knives, (Proverbs 30:11-14)

5 “They have corrupted themselves;
They are  … A perverse and crooked generation.  (Deuteronomy 32:5)

Yes, we are seeing a generation like that.

Of course, it is not just some associated with the current protests.

Notice that God inspired Isaiah to write:

8 Now go, write it before them on a tablet,
And note it on a scroll,
That it may be for time to come,
Forever and ever:
9 That this is a rebellious people,
Lying children,
Children who will not hear the law of the Lord;
10 Who say to the seers, “Do not see,”
And to the prophets, “Do not prophesy to us right things;
Speak to us smooth things, prophesy deceits.
11 Get out of the way,
Turn aside from the path,
Cause the Holy One of Israel
To cease from before us.”

12 Therefore thus says the Holy One of Israel:

“Because you despise this word,
And trust in oppression and perversity,
And rely on them,
13 Therefore this iniquity shall be to you
Like a breach ready to fall,
A bulge in a high wall,
Whose breaking comes suddenly, in an instant. (Isaiah 30:8-13)

The above is applicable to much of the USA.

More and more are despising the word of God and trusting in perversity.

The USA needs national repentance–without it, it is doomed–and it will end fairly soon (cf. Daniel 11:39).

Remember that Jesus taught:

37 And what I say to you, I say to all: Watch!” (Mark 13:37)

We are in a time of troubles and sorrows as Jesus prophesied.

It is the final generation of this age that experiences the beginning of sorrows and the ride of the four horsemen (and the opening of the first four seals).

National repentance is what the USA needs.

But since that is not likely, nor what the protesters nor the Trump Administration are calling for, it will fall.

The USA does not truly need protests or troops in the street. The USA needs repentance, the return of Jesus, and the Kingdom of God.

Protests and Divide in the USA

Is 2026 the year the Great Tribulation finally begins? Is this is the start of a Sabbatical cycle some have postulated countdowns to the return of Jesus? Is a Sabbatical cycle or Jubilee year even mentioned by Jesus as a leading indicator of the Great Tribulation? Jesus, Himself, pointed to events, including some written by the prophet Daniel. If God has placed some of the understanding of the signs of the beginning of the Great Tribulation in the words of Daniel the prophet till the time of the end, what are those signs? If 2026 is not the year the Great Tribulation begins, could any of the signs mentioned in the book of Daniel begin to take place in 2026? Could this year be the beginning of the end? Do you want to know? In Matthew 24:3 Jesus’ disciples wanted to know. Of course, we know Jesus said no one knows the day or the hour, but Jesus also told us in Matthew 24:33 that we will know when it is at the very doors! What about the timing of Armageddon?
