CNN: New Zealand and the United Kingdom reach free trade deal

There has been another Anglo trade deal:

New Zealand and the United Kingdom reach free trade deal

The United Kingdom and New Zealand have struck a free trade agreement that will reduce tariffs on bulldozers, wine, buses and clothing.

The draft deal, which follows 16 months of negotiations, is the latest to be brokered by the United Kingdom after its departure from the European Union.

The agreement is not expected to deliver a boost to the UK economy. But Downing Street expressed hopes that it will help “pave the way” for Britain to join Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP), a free trade area of 11 Pacific nations including New Zealand.

“This is a great trade deal for the United Kingdom, cementing our long friendship with New Zealand and furthering our ties with the Indo-Pacific,” Prime Minister Boris Johnson said in a statement. https://www.cnn.com/2021/10/20/economy/new-zealand-united-kingdom-trade-agreement-intl-hnk/index.html

The UK is eager to make trade deals where it can, especially because of its departure from the European Union, known as Brexit.

In June, the UK made a trade deal with Australia (see EU & USA and UK & Australia make trade deals, so?).

Because of their close ethnic and language ties, plus the biblically tied origin to the tribe of Ephraim (see Anglo – America in Prophecy & the Lost Tribes of Israel), such deals are not unexpected.

As long-time readers realize, back in 2008, I posted the following:

In the spirit of accommodation and personal interest, many of the “standards” of the European Union will be adopted by the USA, Canada and Mexico, as well as by nearly all of the countries of the world. The Arab nations will most likely agree with many of the standards as they seem to be destined to form a brief end-time alliance with the Europeans (The Arab World In the Bible, History, and Prophecy).

However, over time, it will become increasingly clear that the British will be in more agreement with the Canadians and Americans and that the European Union in more agreement with the Mexicans than the EU will have with the English-speaking nations.

Trade wars and/or serious trade disputes will most likely arise.

The Brits will ultimately decide that they are more supportive of the Americans and Canadians. They will be so much more supportive that they will end up in a trading agreement with them (with the Australians and New Zealanders probably also becoming part of that agreement).

The EU will decide that Mexico and the rest of Latin America are in more agreement with it and thus make some type of serious trading agreement with most (or all) of Latin America. The Vatican will also have influence here as Latin America is highly Roman Catholic.

The Europeans and Americans, however, will continue to have military agreements, though many will be tense about them. (Thiel B. A Combined EU & North American Trade Block Coming? COGwriter.com, March 3, 2008)

Since the above was posted, the Europeans and Americans continue to have military agreements, the UK essentially reduced its trade from the rest of Europe because of Brexit, today we see a UK-NZ trade deal, the EU has made trade deals with Mexico and Latin America (see EU’s Juncker essentially verified accuracy of 2008 COGwriter prediction on trade), the USA made a new trade deal with Canada (see Brexit: ‘The end is nigh’ and Donald Trump signs Canada-Mexico trade deal), the UK and EU continue to have trade friction (see DW: EU-UK trade war looming as Northern Ireland Protocol tensions hit boiling point), and the EU has continued to push its standards (which is one of the reasons there is an issue related to Brexit and Northern Ireland).

While it certainly seems prudent for the UK and NZ to improve trade, that will not save them from what will happen to them.

And while some criticize the view that the British-descended people came from one of the tribes of Israel, consider the following related to the second century Church of God leader Theophilus of Antioch:

That the Britons are of Asiatic origin seems to be supported by the testimony of Theophilus bishop of Antioch (A.D. 160). (Seventh Day Baptists in Europe and America” Volume 1, 1910, p. 21)

Theophilus actually wrote:

For though at first there were few men in the land of Arabia and Chaldæa, yet, after their languages were divided, they gradually began to multiply and spread over all the earth; and some of them tended towards the east to dwell there, and others to the parts of the great continent, and others northwards, so as to extend as far as Britain, in the Arctic regions. …

Who, then, of those called sages, and poets, and historians, could tell us truly of these things … ? … And therefore it is proved that all others have been in error; and that we Christians alone have possessed the truth, inasmuch as we are taught by the Holy Spirit, who spoke in the holy prophets, and foretold all things. (Theophilus. To Autolycus, Book 2, Chapters 32, 33)

Theophilus is clearly is teaching that the origins of humanity and where peoples anciently moved from were not understood by the sages of the world, but mainly by Christians. We see the same thing today as modern ‘sages’ deny what happened.

How can YOU know who is right?

Well, if YOU really believe the Bible, if you look into the fulfillment of prophecies in the 48th and 49th chapters of the Book of Genesis, you will see that there is a fulfillment with the British (as well as the Americans and many of the northern European nations as well).
