It’s happening in entertainment, in academia, and pretty much anywhere someone can be found who is not sufficiently supportive of the Black Lives Matter movement. …
They are tearing down dozens of statues and facing no consequences whatsoever for vandalizing our public spaces — including memorials to our nation’s greatest heroes. …
These people are not seeking change at the margins. They are demanding a total cultural revolution, and cowardly public officials are giving it to them. If you look at this national outpouring of hatred and recrimination with horror verging on despair, I assure you that you are not alone. Tens of millions of Americans feel exactly the same way. …
At this moment, there is a veritable army of lawyers and bureaucrats who have spent the last three and a half years subsisting on resentment and salivating at the prospect of regaining power. Things are bad enough now, but conditions will become much worse if the “cancel culture” born on social media is augmented with the force of law and given the full attention of Biden appointees imbued with the sweeping powers of the federal bureaucracy.

America’s moral panic preceded the George Floyd protests, as well as the Black Lives Matter movement. That being said, yes things can get worse. Neither Joe Biden nor Donald Trump are the answer.
The old Worldwide Church of God wrote about these days as well as the real solution:
In the book of Isaiah, in the Old Testament’ of the Bible, God inspired the prophet to record events in advance of our day — a time when the leaders have lost knowledge of the way which would guarantee peace, happiness and abundant, rich, productive living. A time when the leaders have failed to establish governmental systems structured upon equity. A time when confusion and near chaos reign world wide, and when there are seemingly no answers.
Isaiah wrote: “For, behold, the Lord, the Lord of hosts, doth take away… the stay and the staff, the whole stay of bread, and the whole stay of water, the mighty man, and the man of war, the judge, and the prophet, and the prudent, and the ancient, the captain of fifty, and the honourable man, and the counsellor, and the cunning artificer, and the eloquent orator. And I will give children to be their princes, and babes shall rule over them” (Isa. 3:1-4). … When Jesus Christ inspired Matthew to write about the “time of the end” — a time when “iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold” (Matt. 24:12) — He guaranteed His intervention in an awesome manner.
“For, then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved [alive]: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened” (verses 21-22).
That promise is the only hope for this world in which you and I live! That promise is one which will open opportunities unimagined to the youth hungrily seeking strong leadership. In his Olivet prophecy, Jesus Christ … described a time when “iniquity shall abound” — a time of LAWLESSNESS and chaos. (Meredith RC. Prophecy Reveals Where We’re Headed Now! Plain Truth, March 1984)
Though political leaders ignore it, problems and terrors are prophesied for those who will not heed the Bible:
25 Because you disdained all my counsel, And would have none of my rebuke, 26 I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your terror comes, 27 When your terror comes like a storm, And your destruction comes like a whirlwind, When distress and anguish come upon you. (Proverbs 1:25-27)
5 Also they are afraid of height, And of terrors in the way (Ecclesiastes 12:5).
6 You have forsaken Me,” says the Lord,
“You have gone backward.
Therefore I will stretch out My hand against you and destroy you;
I am weary of relenting!
7 And I will winnow them with a winnowing fan in the gates of the land;
I will bereave them of children;
I will destroy My people,
Since they do not return from their ways.
8 Their widows will be increased to Me more than the sand of the seas;
I will bring against them,
Against the mother of the young men,
A plunderer at noonday;
I will cause anguish and terror to fall on them suddenly. (Jeremiah 15:6-8)

If it’s not already crystal clear that what is being orchestrated on a global scale is an attempt for the UN to carry out their one world governance plan, then you’ve missed the writing on the wall. Recently, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres tweeted, “as we mark the 75th anniversary of the UN Charter, we must reimagine the way nations cooperate. We need an effective multilateralism with scale, ambition and teeth.” As Breitbart reported, Guterres claimed in the 21st century, governments are no longer the only political and power reality, adding “we need an effective multilateralism that can function as an instrument of global governance where it is needed.” The UN also has a dedicated page for their response to COVID-19, which includes, “coming out of this crisis will require a whole-of-society, whole-of-government and whole-of-the-world approach driven by compassion and solidarity.”
The coronavirus, masks, vaccines, contact tracing, riots and protests, removing history, and altering legislation are all part of their game plan …

Now, yes, there will be crises and a type of global governance leader will arise. He will promise peace, but end up destroying the USA (Daniel 11:39), its British-descended allies (Daniel 8:24-25; cf. Isaiah 17:3a), many nations in the Middle East and North Africa (Daniel 11:40-43), before getting destroyed (cf. Daniel 11:44-45; Revelation 18).

The 6th chapter of the Book of Revelation tells of the ride of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. What do each represent? Is the novel coronavirus, also known as COVID-19, part of the fourth horseman? Does the Bible point to around 2 billion people dying from hunger, war, and the beasts of the earth? Was the ancient Roman Empire impacted by pestilences? What about the black death, also known as the Bubonic plague? Are disease epidemics part of the beginning of sorrow and troubles that Jesus spoke about in Matthew 24 and Mark 13? Does the pale green horseman represent Islam? Could genetically modified organisms (GMOs) or synthetic biology cause or contribute to coming pandemics? Is chemical and biological warfare (CBW) a real threat to humanity? Is this leader similar to the Great Monarch of Greco-Roman Catholic prophecies? When is the Great Monarch supposed to arise according to the Eastern Orthodox? Why might Europe be less affected by the ride of the third horseman that the US, Canada, and the UK? Are governments taking steps now, consistent with the words of Adolf Hitler? What seal represents the start of the Great Tribulation? Which Christians did Jesus promise to protect from the coming “hour of trial”?

The only way now would be national repentance (cf. Hosea 11:5b), which is not expected (cf. Isaiah 10:5-11). The other way to stop the lawlessness is when Jesus returns and establishes the Kingdom of God.
As far as lawlessness goes, notice something that Jesus said would happen:
12 And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. (Matthew 24:12, NKJV)
Jesus prophesied that lawlessness (“iniquity” in the KJV) would abound.
Is that not happening in the world?
But, what about lawlessness and Christians?
Notice some writings from the old Worldwide Church of God:
Why did Jesus Christ forewarn that during our time, many — even in His Church — will become calloused, hard, unsympathetic? Will you be one who will let your love grow cold?
How can you make certain this doesn’t happen to you?
IN THE Olivet Prophecy, Jesus foretold the world-shaking events leading up to His Second Coming. He showed that worldwide hate would lead to wars (climaxing in World Wars), famines, pestilences, and widespread earthquakes!
Then Christ sounded a fearful warning!
“All these are the beginning of sorrows. Then shall they deliver you up to he afflicted, and shall kill you [referring to the terrible end-time persecutions, culminating in the Great Tribulation!]; and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake. And then shall many be offended and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another…. And because iniquity shall abound, THE LOVE OF MANY SHALL WAX COLD” (Mat. 24:8-12)!
Have YOU taken this warning from your very Saviour personally? Have you made an inventory of your life lately to be sure you are not guilty of this charge?
Christ also solemnly promised the overcomers: “He that shall ENDURE unto the end, the same shall be saved” (verse 13). …
Truly, we are living in the perilous times — the latter days — foretold by the apostle Paul: “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves… without NATURAL AFFECTION… fierce” (II Tim. 3:1-3).
This prophecy clearly reveals that in our time men would be self-lovers. But they would be woefully lacking in the natural affection which a normal person should possess toward his fellowman. They would have extreme hostility (fierceness — verse 3) toward their neighbours, instead of loving their neighbours as themselves.
Paul also showed that this world’s leaders, both religious and secular, do not like to retain God in their knowledge (Rom. 1:28)! This is certainly true of most of today’s churches, colleges and other man-made institutions of learning! Man’s religious organizations and his secular institutions of higher learning are primarily responsible for producing this blighted, bumper crop of hardened minds!
Since this world’s leaders don’t wish to retain God in their knowledge, God has given them over to “a reprobate mind” (verse 28). Such minds are destitute of the real truth — “Being filled with all unrighteousness… maliciousness… murder… malignity… despiteful… without NATURAL AFFECTION, implacable, unmerciful…” (Rom. 1:29, 31). Such hate-filled minds often display open hostility not only toward their fellowmen, but also toward their very Creator (Rom. 8:7)! …
There are three vital steps we must take if we want to overcome a hardhearted attitude.
First, we need to recognize the fact that many in Gods Church ARE sadly lacking in natural affection! This is the first step in overcoming this spiritual disease.
Next, we must admit our lack, confess it to God, and ask our loving Creator to help us overcome this universal lack of compassion for others.
Then, we must do our part to overcome this character weakness — by drinking in of the mind and character of God through prayer and diligent Bible study.
We can learn how to overcome this lack of natural affection by carefully studying God’s Word to see how the great men of the Bible (Christ, David, Joseph) thought and acted — how they exhibited great love and compassion toward others. And we can see how these men of God showed real godly affection. By diligently studying, and carefully following, their examples, we can and will overcome this universal spiritual affliction — this gaping lack of natural compassion! …
Brethren you have seen Christ’s warning — that “the love of many shall wax cold!” You now know what God requires of you. It is up to you, with the help of God, to overcome any lack of natural affection — any lack of compassion — which you have developed through the years!
Your love will not grow cold — if you willingly let God’s Spirit mould within you God’s very character — His love and compassion! (McNair R. Will Your Love Wax Cold? Good News, 1967)
Love is on the way out in this world. Jesus foretold our time. Notice His Mt. Olivet prophecy in Matthew 24. In verse 5 He prophesies deception. In verse 6 He talks about wars and rumors of wars. Then He prophesies world war, famines, disease epidemics, earthquakes in various parts of the earth.
Jesus says in verse 8 that these are “the beginning of sorrows.” Actually the word “SORROWS” means “trials” or “tribulation.” So Jesus is saying these are the beginning of “tribulation” …
Furthermore Jesus said, “And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold” (verse 12).
Already this is starting. Sin is everywhere in great mountainous heaps! Lies, cheating, competition, hatreds, fornications, adulteries, filth, perversions of all kinds, sadism, murders, are around us every day. …
Love requires work. It’s a full-time job to stay in love. We must work at love — loving God, loving neighbor and loving mate!
Why?
Because innately we are all selfish. We love self. Love of self is not really love but lust. True love is outgoing concern for others. …
Remember, the prophecies say stress and strain will be put on immediate families.This will cause many to fall away from God’s Church. (Antion D. Will You Fall Away? Good News. May-June 1968, pp. 5, 21)
A falling away from the truth has occurred (see also The Falling Away: The Bible and WCG Teachings).
A falling away from Philadelphia–brotherly love–has occurred as well.
Sadly, this is why most end time Christians are Laodiceans according to the sequence in second and third chapters of the Book of Revelation.
Anyway, we are seeing lawlessness and chaos in the world. And yes, things are prophesied to get worse.
However, Jesus offers even physical protection to those who do not loose the love for doing the work and going forth with brotherly love (cf. Revelation 3:7-13; see also There is a Place of Safety for the Philadelphians. Why it May Be Near Petra).
