Europe is expanding its AI and high-performance computing (HPC) capacity, with NVIDIA announcing that 35 new AI supercomputers are currently under development across the continent. The systems, unveiled at ISC High Performance 2026, will provide next-generation computing infrastructure for more than three million researchers working in fields ranging from climate science and healthcare to quantum computing and industrial innovation.
The announcement marks what NVIDIA describes as Europe’s largest single-year expansion of supercomputing resources, spanning 23 countries and involving national supercomputing centers, AI factories and leading research institutions.
For eeNews Europe readers, the development highlights the growing role of advanced computing infrastructure in strengthening Europe’s technological sovereignty and accelerating innovation in strategic sectors. It also underscores how AI and HPC are becoming critical tools for industrial engineering, energy transition projects and scientific research.
AI factories drive European expansion
According to NVIDIA, more than 90% of Europe’s AI factory buildout is based on its technology stack, with around 800 AI exaflops either deployed or announced since last year. The new systems will rely largely on NVIDIA’s Blackwell and Hopper platforms, alongside Quantum InfiniBand networking, CUDA-X libraries and AI software tools.
“AI is the new instrument of science, and Europe is building the infrastructure to put it in the hands of millions of researchers,” said Jensen Huang, founder and CEO of NVIDIA. “With NVIDIA accelerated computing, researchers can simulate more complex systems, train scientific AI models and build agentic AI workflows that turn Europe’s data and expertise into breakthroughs for the world.” …

Europe is moving forward in the area of quantum technology. The Bible shows that a European power will arise that will control buying and selling:
16 He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, 17 and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666. (Revelation 13:16-17)
When the Apostle John penned the above, such control of buying and selling was not possible.
However, with supercomputers, AI, financial surveillance plans, political will in Europe, and digital payments, it is now.
A while back, the European Union announced it was launching surveillance software (see ‘The EU is allowing the linking of face recognition databases to create a mega surveillance system’ 666 infrastructure being put into place).
And, now, it looks to be closer to having the supercomputer quantum hardware, along with access to AI software, to make it more of a reality.
There is also an office in the EU to enforce its financial rules.

This is a major, first-of-its-kind move, with the EU setting up a European-wide prosecutor’s office that will have power to investigate and charge people for financial crimes committed against the EU. It looks like this type of office may end up persecuting those that do not have the mark of the Beast when they “buy or sell” as that will later be considered a financial crime in Europe. The European Public Prosecutor’s Office officially started operations on 1 June 2021 (https://www.eppo.europa.eu/en/background).
So, yes, there is an enforcer.
Now there is hardware, more surveillance software, and massively faster computation ability.
Let me add that earlier this year it was proposed that the EU would have its own version of the USA’s Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) (see Europol expansion, censorship, and the European Public Prosecutor’s Office).
So, there is more policing being proposed to be put in place in Europe.
Artificial intelligence, quantum supercomputers, and financial surveillance systems and enforcers, are steps towards 666.
Europe has the ambition, political will, regulations, and faster computers to make this a reality in several years.
