Trump declares Iran truce ‘over’ as IRGC responds to violent US escalation

President Donald Trump declared on 8 July that the so-called truce between Tehran and Washington is “over,” after the Islamic Republic responded to a violent wave of US airstrikes that struck multiple areas in Iran overnight.
When asked by reporters about the fate of the ceasefire and Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) following the latest escalation, Trump said, “It’s a very interesting question.”
“To me, I think it’s over. I don’t want to deal with them anymore. They are scum … They are sick people. They are led by sick people. And they are vicious, violent people,” he added.
“As far as I’m concerned, it’s over. I’ll speak to our negotiators – if they want to negotiate. They are good people. Steve Witkoff, Jared Kushner. But they have to come back to me,” the US president went on to say.
Trump told the reporters it was a “waste of time dealing with them,” adding that there is “something wrong with them” and repeating that the truce is “over.”
“They are liars. We make a deal – everyone’s agreed. No nuclear weapon. We make a deal, they go outside, talk to the press and say we never even talked about it.”
Meanwhile, air defense sirens blared across Bahrain for the third time on Wednesday morning, following Tehran’s response to the latest wave of US airstrikes on Iran.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) released a statement detailing its retaliatory strikes on US military assets in Kuwait and Bahrain.
The IRGC said it struck 85 US targets in Bahrain and Kuwait with missiles and drones, calling the attack an “initial response.”
“In an initial response to this aggression, the naval and aerospace forces of the IRGC, through joint missile and drone operations, destroyed 85 major US military installations in Port Salman, the US Fifth Naval Base in Bahrain, and Kuwait’s Ali Salem Airbase,” the IRGC said. https://thecradle.co/articles-id/38663

As I write this article, large explosions are being reported all over Iran. Does this mean that the “Memorandum of Understanding” is doomed? Iran made a very foolish move when it decided to start attacking commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz again. It was inevitable that the U.S. would respond militarily, and this time the Trump administration is not messing around. Needless to say, we have seen this happen before.
When Iran has attacked commercial vessels traveling through the Strait, there has been a “proportional” response from the United States.
But this time around we are being told that “this is punishment”…
According to Axios, the latest wave of U.S. airstrikes is approximately four to five times larger than the airstrikes that occurred late last month…
Back on June 27th, President Trump warned that if he was forced to finish the job in Iran, the end result would be “the Islamic Republic of Iran will no longer exist”…
“There may come a point when we are no longer able to be reasonable and will be forced to militarily complete the job that we very successfully started,” Trump said on Truth Social on June 27. “If that happens, the Islamic Republic of Iran will no longer exist!” …

Now, the current war is not the start of WWIII.
However, it is a factor that will lead to the fulfillment of other biblical prophecies.
Jesus warned about wars and rumors of wars (Matthew 24:6-8). What has been going on at the NATO conference in Turkey actually has more to deal with the beginnings of WWIII than what is happening between Iran and the USA (cf. Lamentations 1:1-2); Daniel 11:39).
The Bible speaks of damage coming to the City of David–Jerusalem–from what appears to be an Iranian-led confederation in Isaiah 22:6-9. Hence, while Iran can be greatly damaged, beyond the ways it has already been neutralized, Iran is still going to exist, irrespective of statements from Donald Trump.
Donald Trump is admitting that he has a difficult time understanding the Iranian regime.
Well, it has been known for at least a decade or two that the religious zealots in Iran actually hope to accomplish that as the conquering of Jerusalem–Iran even posted a video about it 15+ years ago.
In March 2011 then Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad approved a video that quotes someone as saying the Shiite Imam Mahdi leader would arrive after a time of great earthquakes and sedition. It showed photos of American, Jewish, and European leaders that it did not approve of. It states that, according to a Hadith (a saying attributed to Muhammad), Iran is to be among the “preparers” for the arrival of the Imam. It blamed the USA and its allies for causing Islamic fear-mongering since 9/11/2001. The video indicates that Islamic writings have warned that Westerners would invade the Middle East first and its suggests that Iraq and other western military interventions are proof that the Imam Mahdi is about to appear. It claims Iran is the premier military power in the Islamic world and indicates that other Muslims should now support it. The video tells that a time of Arab cooperation is prophesied, while also claiming that annihilation of the “Zionist regime” needs to happen prior to the arrival of the Mahdi.
And the video goes further. It says that the Hadith tells of a leader named Abdullah, states that the then ill King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia is the first Abdullah leader in a hundred years, and then it cites something that states when Abdullah dies the reappearance is guaranteed (he died in 2015). The video claims that their prophecies state that a Seyed Khorasani will turn Jerusalem over to the Imam Mahdi. It discusses prophesies that Islamic antichrists must rise up and hints that the Free Masons, with their influence on American, European, Israeli, and apparently certain Arabic, leaders, has fulfilled this. The video shows Hosni Mubarak along with a prophecy that the leader of Egypt must die prior to the arrival of the Imam Mahdi, Hosni Mubarak is no longer the leader of Egypt and is now dead (he died 02/25/20).
The video also essentially tries to explain who is Seyed Khorasani (the claim was for the then top leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei). It also says that 72 months prior to the arrival of the Imam Mahdi that Seyed Khorasani will appoint Shoeib to assist. It then asks if “Doctor” Ahmadinejad could be the Shoeib. It shows Ahmadinejad making various speeches and discusses him taking over Jerusalem in the future–and prior to the arrival of the Imam Mahdi. It basically ends with stating that the Imam Mahdi will rise up soon and that all should praise God with Jihad. Currently, Ahmadinejad is out-of-office and no longer would seem to be a viable candidate, though things could change with him as he is still around. Furthermore, notice the following headline about him on December 19, 2023: Iran Ultra-Hardliners Push To Bring Ahmadinejad Back To Politics. On 28 February 2026, the first day of the 2026 Iran war, reports emerged that a house belonging to Ahmadinejad in Narmak, Tehran was struck and allegedly destroyed; the attack killed three members of the IRGC who were serving as his bodyguards. Although some claim he was killed, he was spotted at the Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s funeral on July 6, 2026. Whether or not he returns to political power, Iran still wants Jerusalem.
While Iran will NOT gain control over Jerusalem as they hope, they very well may cause great damage to come to Jerusalem.
Anyway, WWIII will involve Europe rising up against the USA and its British-descended allies.

The Next World War
Now, all the pieces that have divided them over there, are beginning to fall into place, and it’s very shocking news. You’ll find it prophesied in the seventeenth chapter of Revelation and many other prophecies in the Bible. And it is going to trigger World War III, the feared, the unthinkable nuclear World War III. I want to read you what the Bible says about this World War III coming on; it’s in Matthew 24 and I’m going to show you how the time is now. It’s talking not of spiritual salvation but saving humanity alive. In other words; every man woman, child on earth would be snuffed out. You, your children, myself, all of us. Humanity would be erased.

Daniel 11:31 and Matthew 24:15 … From this time (Daniel 12:11) to Christ’s coming will be 1290 days. Now, verse 12, “Blessed is he that waiteth, and comes to the 1335 days.” … We shall then be warned, and readied to be taken to a place of refuge and safety from the Great Tribulation. Forty-five days later “the beast’s armies” will surround Jerusalem. Thirty days later the Great Tribulation will probably start with a nuclear attack on London and Britain–and possibly the same day or immediately after, on the United States and Canadian cities. The GREAT TRIBULATION, we shall fully then realize, is the time of “Jacob’s Trouble,” spoken of in Jeremiah 30:7. And Jacob’s name was named on Joseph’s sons, Ephraim and Manasseh (Gen. 48:16). At that time a third of the people in our nations will die, or shall have died, by famine and disease epidemics; another third will dies of the war–our cities being destroyed (Ezek. 6:6), and the remaining third will be carried to the land of our enemies as slaves (Ezek. 5:12). Herbert W. Armstrong referred to “the seventeenth chapter of Revelation.” In it, Mystery Babylon is mentioned along with two reorganizations in Europe–one one which turns power over to the beast. The armies of the beast are prophesied to destroy the strongest military in Daniel 11:39. So, for WWIII to happen in the next decade or less, that would point to the USA itself getting destroyed–and that is consistent with what Herbert W. Armstrong was warning would happen.
Although Iran has a role to play in end time events, what is happening now with it and the USA is NOT the start of WWIII.
