We’re in for a wild ride this week.

Former President Donald Trump is expected to touch down in New York City on Monday and spend the night at his Trump Tower pied-a-terre before surrendering to Manhattan prosecutors Tuesday morning. He will then proceed to his arraignment at Manhattan Criminal Court.

Over the weekend, one of Trump’s attorneys gave POLITICO’s Erica Orden a hint of what to expect: “I’m buckling my seatbelt, let’s put it that way.”

The unprecedented case, being brought by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, has predictably riled up supporters and detractors.

New York Democrats, for instance, are eager to see Trump face prosecution …

And in a city accustomed to demonstrations by various factions of Democrats, the legal woes of the former president are set to attract a more uncommon type of protestor.

U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) plans to headline a rally Tuesday that will vilify Bragg and cast the charges against Trump, who has mounted a third attempt at the White House, as politically motivated. One MAGA supporter had already arrived over the weekend at Trump Tower. …

We may very well see massive protests in the USA–some in favor of Donald Trump and others opposed to him.

The court hearing for the arraignment will take place at 2:15 p.m. ET when Trump will appear before acting Supreme Court Justice Juan Merchan. This will be the first time in history that a former U.S. president faces criminal charges. …

Trump blasted Bragg for subjecting him to criminal charges. “The Corrupt D.A. has no case. What he does have is a venue where it is IMPOSSIBLE for me to get a Fair Trial (it must be changed!), and a Trump-Hating Judge, hand selected by the Soros-backed D.A. (he must be changed!). Carlson had Beck on to discuss the indictment and the implications and fallout that could result from it. He introduced Beck as someone who has been proved right “again and again and again” over the years.

Asked how he’d interpret the indictment, Beck gave a long and dire answer. He covered a variety of crises and issues, predicted the end of the American dollar, and said that it means, “We become Venezuela.” He brought up President Joe Biden and his family’s alleged ties to China, predicted war with China, Russia, and Iran, brought up social media censorship, and more. …

“I’m going to make a prediction: by 2025 we are going to be at war, we are going to have a new dollar, a currency that probably is coming from the central bank, we’ll have a currency collapse, and we will live in a virtual police state,” he said.

“It’s not far off,” Beck added. Jesus warned:

25 Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand. (Matthew 12:25)

17 Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and a house divided against a house falls. (Luke 11:17)

The divide in the USA is growing as many of its sins (including hypocrisy) become more blatant.

And yes, there is a lot of hypocrisy associated with the Trump indictment.

True Christians have always been supporting many views that differ from the majority. In the USA, minority views were supposed to be respected–now more and more consider views related to the Bible, that many do not hold, to be a threat. This is not good.

Karine Jean-Pierre, who is the Press Secretary, is lesbian and promotes the LGBTQ agenda. So, it is logical to conclude that she does not care for the word of God. The Bible warns:

12 Therefore thus says the Holy One of Israel:

“Because you despise this word,
And trust in oppression and perversity,
And rely on them,
13 Therefore this iniquity shall be to you
Like a breach ready to fall,
A bulge in a high wall,
Whose breaking comes suddenly, in an instant.

Supporters of Donald Trump’s “Make America Great Again” (Maga) agenda are a threat to democracy, President Joe Biden has said.

“Maga forces are determined to take this country backwards,” he said in a primetime speech in Pennsylvania.

Top Republican Kevin McCarthy gave his own address, saying Mr Biden had “severely wounded America’s soul”.

The duelling speeches come two months before midterm elections, which will decide the power balance in Washington.

The Democratic president delivered his speech on Thursday night from Independence Hall in Philadelphia, where the US Declaration of Independence was signed. He picked up his 2020 campaign theme of restoring the “soul of America”.

He said he was not condemning all 74 million Americans who voted for Mr Trump two years ago. “Not every Republican, not even a majority of Republicans, are Maga Republicans,” he said.

“But there’s no question,” Mr Biden continued, “that the Republican party today is dominated, driven and intimidated by Donald Trump and the Maga Republicans, and that is a threat to this country.”

Mr McCarthy, who is Republican minority leader in the US House of Representatives, spoke shortly beforehand from Mr Biden’s hometown of Scranton, Pennsylvania.

The California congressman said the president “has chosen to divide, demean, and disparage his fellow Americans”.

“Why? Simply because they disagree with his policies. That is not leadership.”

There is a lot of hate and divisiveness in American politics. And while it always existed, it has been brought to a new level, which I believe began to accelerate in the Obama-Biden Administration.

And as long-time readers of this COGwriter Church of God News page are aware, I have long warned that Donald Trump was divisive. Before he took office, I wrote:

Donald Trump has been a polarizing figure and has offended many …

That said, as posted here before, I consider that both Donald Trump and Joe Biden are evil–and both are divisive.

Without going into unique specifics about either, let’s consider how they are both similar:

Neither lives like a member of their professed faiths is supposed to try to live.
Both support LGBTQ rights.
Both have repeatedly supported increasing US debt.
Both have publicly made numerous gaffes and misstatements.
Both are white septuagenarians who have been accused of openly praising white supremacists. (https://nymag.com/intelligencer/2019/03/joe-biden-donald-trump-similarities-2020.html)
Both have called for unchecked empowerment of law-enforcement entities.
Both have been accused of sexually harassing numerous women.
Neither has called for national repentance.
Both have pushed necessarily divisive positions at times which are not good for the USA.
Neither has sought first the Kingdom of God.
Both have been leaders in Administrations that have upset the Europeans.
Both have been accused of hypocrisy–and both seem to be guilty of hypocrisy.

Now, I am not trying to say that there are no differences. Yes, I know they have differing economic and climate policies as well as different views on abortion and racial matters.

As far as being hypocritical goes, the Book of Job teaches:

13 … And the hope of the hypocrite shall perish, (Job 8:13)

The Bible prophecy warns that God will punish and destroy “an hypocritical nation” (Isaiah 10:6, KJV) in a prophecy related to the USA.

The Bible teaches:

1 Cry aloud, spare not;
Lift up your voice like a trumpet;
Tell My people their transgression,
And the house of Jacob their sins. (Isaiah 58:1)

These national sins include abortion, sexuality immorality, promoting pornography, false witness, violence, economic theft through debt and other means, hypocrisy, disdain for the God of the Bible, covetousness, and a host of others.

That said, we are to pray for our leaders.

1 Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, 2 for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. 3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior (1 Timothy 2:1-3).

Notice that we are to pray for worldly leaders and those that have authority over us so that we may lead a quiet and peaceful life.

We also are to pray:

14 The will of the Lord be done (Acts 21:14).

The world is changing.

As far as the USA itself goes, the handwriting is on the wall for its coming end. While the USA will not be over by 2025, it is heading in the wrong direction in many, many ways.

The time is coming when the USA will end, the Great Tribulation will impact the world, and soon the Kingdom of God will come.

But, as I wrote before Joe Biden took office, the end will NOT come in the first term of a Biden-Harris Administration.

However, there will be problems, but as Jesus said:

25 The sword shall destroy outside; There shall be terror within (Deuteronomy 32:5,25)

33 In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world. (John 16:33)

More civil unrest is coming to the USA.

Various ones are whipping up support for it.

7. The Laodicean Church Era has been predominant circa 1986 A.D. to present. The Laodiceans are non-Philadelphians who mainly descended from the old WCG or its offshoots.
