Binyamin Netanyahu has just become prime minister of Israel. He is determined to take action before – not after – Iran achieves its nuclear potential. This creates a volatile, hair-trigger situation that could explode at any moment. Hence, the endgame is now vastly closer than it was in mid-January, when many believed Israel might take action during the lame-duck interregnum.

If Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu does in fact take out Iran’s nuclear capabilities, this will greatly diminish the stature of Iran in the eyes of the other Muslim nations.

Since, contrary to the claims of groups like PCG, Iran is NOT the future King of the South, then it is likely that it will either be attacked externally or have some internal problems to weaken its attempts at the leadership of the Islamic world.

Of course, if there simply is an Arab leader who rises up and is perceived to be the Mahdi (a leader that Shi’ite Muslims, like most Iranians are) that some expect, then Iran may simply follow, even if there is no major external or internal problems provoking that.

As Jesus said,

35 Watch therefore, for you do not know when the master of the house is coming–in the evening, at midnight, at the crowing of the rooster, or in the morning– 36 lest, coming suddenly, he find you sleeping. 37 And what I say to you, I say to all: Watch! (Mark 13:35-37)

Although Iran is not the final King of the South it is likely to take actions that will help lead to the rising up of that Islamic power. The Bible also shows that the USA and Israel will not have too long to survive after that happens as the King of the South will make a deadly deal with the coming King of the North (Daniel 11:27; Psalm 83).
