(ChatGPT rendering of the Third Resurrection)
Until sunset tonight is a Holy Day often called the Last Great Day. It helps picture an important part of God’s plan of salvation.
This day is a mystery to most, as is what it represents.
Here is an offertory sermonette”
Last Great Day Offertory
Ritchie White gave this offertory message for the Last Great Day. Although the term ‘Holy Day Offering’ is not in the Bible, the Bible commands offerings on the Holy Days in verses such as Deuteronomy 16:16 and Exodus 23:4-16. Who is to contribute? Does God bless the giver? Does the Bible teach that we reap what we sow? Are we supposed to do good to all, particularly the poor and the household of faith? The work of God is continuing and God expects His people to support that work with their finances. Offerings can be mailed to the Continuing Church of God, 1036 W. Grand Avenue, Grover Beach, CA 93433. Offerings can also be given online via PayPal–check out: https://www.ccog.org/donations/

One topic that is alluded to on this day is the The Third Resurrection. Here is a link to a sermon given today in Brisbane, Australia:
Three Resurrections: The Third Resurrection
Does the Bible teach that there will be three resurrections? While many are aware of two resurrections, it is mainly those in the Churches of God (COGs) that teach about three resurrections. Historical references show that Sabbath keeping Christians in the early and later centuries of the church age taught three resurrections. In this sermon, Dr. Thiel shows information on three different judgments as well as three resurrections. And even most in the COGs do not fully understand the third resurrection. Is it only for the incorrigibly wicked, who are subject to the second death? What about those who die after the 100 year period in Isaiah 65:20? Is death really like sleep? Do humans have an immortal soul or will, each in their own order, eventually be resurrected? What happens to those in each resurrection? Which is the “better resurrection’? What about the Great White Throne Judgment? Have any Jewish scholars taught that there are three resurrections or at least three categories of humans? What did Jesus teach about the Last Great Day? This scripture-filled sermon addresses these issues and also cites historical sources.

Here is a sermon for this day made in 2026 in Brisbane, Australia:
God’s Plan for Salvation for the Bulk of Humanity Makes Sense
Will God offer salvation to all that ever lived or just the called of this age? Are there hundreds of scriptures that many have overlooked or misunderstood that teach the truth about God’s loving plan of salvation? Would not a God of love have a plan of salvation that makes sense? Was Jesus referring to this when He spoke on the Last Great Day of the Feast? Did early Christians, and even some Jewish sages, understand and teach any of this? Will all flesh see the salvation of God? Will those blinded be forgiven? When will this happen? What about sinners who were killed in Sodom and Gomorrah? Does God have a plan to save those who died and are lost? Are sinners going to suffer torment for eternity? When? Does the Bible show that nations that were afar off will come to the knowledge of the truth? Will people actually have to repent–and will most do so after the second resurrection? What about mercy? What about judgment? Dr. Thiel addresses these matters and more.

An older sermon for this Holy Day is also available:
This was a message for the biblical holy day the Jews call Shemini Azeret, but those in the Churches of God normally refer to as the Last Great Day. In it Dr. Thiel explains that the all knowing, all wise, all powerful God of love, does have a plan of salvation that will result in nearly all being saved. He cites scriptures as well as historical writings to show that this is a biblical concept. Will God truly offer salvation to all? “Our God is the God of salvation.”
