Can humans directly manipulate and/or control thoughts of other humans? Apparently:
A… study by University of Washington researchers — led by Rajesh Rao and Andrea Stocco — created the first human-to-human brain interface that is noninvasive. It allowed the thoughts of one researcher to manipulate movement of another.
The study used electroencephalography (EEG) — which is used to record brain activity noninvasively from the scalp — and transcranial magnetic stimulation, which is a noninvasive way of delivering stimulation to the brain to obtain a response.
Rao sat in his laboratory, where he wore a cap hooked up to electrodes. The electrodes were connected to an electroencephalography machine in order to read the electrical activity in his brain…Rao was playing a video game with his mind, where he had to imagine moving his right hand in order to fire a cannon at a specific target. When he did this correctly, a cursor would hit the “fire” button.
“It was both exciting and eerie to watch an imagined action from my brain get translated into actual action by another brain,” Rao said. “This was basically a one-way flow of information from my brain to his. While there are certain potential benefits from mind manipulation (especially for the mentally disabled or injured), there is a major potential for abuse. Perhaps not from the above experiment, but from others that might happen partially because of the success of this one.
The Bible, thousands of years ago, recorded that humans would be able to do a lot:
5 But the Lord came down to see the city and the tower which the sons of men had built. 6 And the Lord said, “Indeed the people are one and they all have one language, and this is what they begin to do; now nothing that they propose to do will be withheld from them. 7 Come, let Us go down and there confuse their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech.” 8 So the Lord scattered them abroad from there over the face of all the earth, and they ceased building the city. 9 Therefore its name is called Babel, because there the Lord confused the language of all the earth; and from there the Lord scattered them abroad over the face of all the earth. (Genesis 11:5-9)
God slowed this process down by adding additional languages so that humans would not be able to destroy themselves prematurely (before the end of the 6,000 years; see also Does God Have a 6,000 Year Plan? What Year Does the 6,000 Years End?).
Considering all of the espionage and torture. that the USA government has been involved with, what might a government do with enhanced “interrogation techniques” that allow mind manipulation?
Christians have long known that Satan and outside influences could negatively affect behavior, but that Christ can free us from that:
1 And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, 2 in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience, 3 among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others. (Ephesians 2:1-3)
But what this research study suggests, to me at least, is that governments may also ultimately try to manipulate and control various ones in more means that are wrong. This is likely a type of technology that the coming European Beast power will attempt to utilize.
Will USA Spying Help the Beast Power? Various allegations have surfaced about the United States government spying on its own citizens as well as its supposed allies in the European Union. Whether or not all the espionage allegations are true, and the main ones have not been publicly denied by the government of the USA, the reality is that this does have prophetic ramifications and will help the Beast of Revelation. The USA is placing itself in a position to be taken over and its response to the allegations will make it easier for the Europeans to do so.
