BBC: Israel accused of the gravest war crimes; COGWriter: Could this be related to the prediction of ‘terrible crime’?

I have also spoken to distinguished lawyers; to humanitarians with years of experience of working within the law to bring aid to Gaza and other warzones; and to senior Western diplomats about their governments’ growing impatience with Israel and nervousness that they might be seen as complicit in future criminal investigations if they do not speak up about the catastrophe inside Gaza.
In Europe there is also now a widely held belief, as in Israel, that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is prolonging the war not to safeguard Israelis, but to preserve the ultra-nationalist coalition that keeps him in power.
As prime minister he can prevent a national inquiry into his role in security failures that gave Hamas its opportunity before 7 October and slow down his long-running trial on serious corruption charges that could land him in jail.
Netanyahu rarely gives interviews or news conferences. He prefers direct statements filmed and posted on social media. Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar declined a request for an interview.
Boaz Bismuth, a parliamentarian from Netanyahu’s Likud party, repeated his leader’s positions: that there is no famine in Gaza, that Israel respects the laws of war and that unwarranted criticism of its conduct by countries including the UK, France and Canada incites antisemitic attacks on Jews, including murder.
Lawyers I have spoken to believe that there is evidence that Israel followed war crimes, committed by Hamas when it attacked Israel, with very many of its own, including the crime of genocide. …
Israel has put severe restrictions on food and aid shipments into Gaza throughout the war and blocked them entirely from March to May this year. With Gaza on the brink of famine, it is clear that Israel has violated laws that say civilians should be protected, not starved.
A British government minister told the BBC that Israel was using hunger “as a weapon of war”. The Israeli Defence Minister, Israel Katz, said openly that the food blockade was a “main pressure lever” against Hamas to release the hostages and accept defeat.

Yes, a ceasefire will come. And yes, it will not end the conflict.
Shortly before he left office, US President Joe Biden declared that a ceasefire deal his Administration had proposed was how “permanent peace” would be attained in the region. In response to that, I posted:

That said, over 700 years ago, a Roman Catholic abbot made an end time prediction related to Israel:

Roman Catholic priest and writer R. Gerald Culleton (20th century): After the birth of Anti-Christ and shortly before the rise of the Great Monarch, the false doctrines were to multiply …In the last days before Anti-Christ, there are to appear many anti-christs… Towards the end of the world the Jews are to commit some atrocious crime for which they will be greatly persecuted…the Great Monarch…This Lion Monarch… together with the Great Pope or Angelic Pastor, shall appear after socialism…(Culleton, pp. 25,27,28,50)
Note that there was no nation called Israel when Herman of Lehnin made his prediction. Could what Israel has been doing or will do be considered so atrocious that this will trigger great persecution of invasion?
Yes, it would seem so (cf. Isaiah 22:6-8; Luke 21:20).
Back on October 7, 2023, the day when Hamas launched its attack against Israel, I also referred to his statement and said that Israel’s response to that attack could be considered as a war crime:
A strong Israeli response may upset the world if its response is considered to be some type of “war crime.” (Thiel B. Hamas attacks and Netanyahu says, ‘We are at war’. COGwriter, October 7, 2023).
Israel has already taken steps related to its responses that many consider to be war crimes.
Israel is more and more losing support around the world.
Ultimately, it will be pushed into a temporary peace deal (Daniel 9:27), that will not turn out well for that nation according to both the Old and New Testaments:
31 And forces shall be mustered by him, and they shall defile the sanctuary fortress; then they shall take away the daily sacrifices, and place there the abomination of desolation. (Daniel 11:31)
20 But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation is near. (Luke 21:20)
While we are NOT yet there, the stage for this is starting to be set.
