Brexiter promoting Irexit in Dublin: But will a European army be formed?

COGwriter

A long-term Brexit and former member of the EU Parliament is promoting Irexit in Ireland:

3 February 2018

Former UKIP leader Nigel Farage has been in Dublin to promote the cause of #Irexit, Ireland’s exit from the EU. His message, praising Donald Trump, was that Irish euroskeptics should use controversy to subvert the media. …

Farage was in Ireland to espouse the benefits of leaving the EU as part of a conference organized by the European parliament’s Europe of Freedom and Direct Democracy (EFDD) political grouping, of which Farage is a part.

The prospect of a British right-winger like Farage addressing an Irish crowd about independence didn’t compute for some. The welcome was not entirely warm.

One group – using the Irish independence slogan “We serve neither King Nor Kaiser But Ireland” – was very much in favor of Irexit. Farage, however, was seen as representative of a much older foe. …

“Whatever the mainstream media say about a new political movement in this country that is standing up for the right values, it doesn’t matter,” Farage told the room. “There’s a chap in America who’s proved this to a certain extent. “Whether you like ‘The Donald’ or not is not the point, but what did he do? He courted as much controversy as he possibly could because controversy means you get more front-page headlines and you dominate the news agenda.” …

As things on Saturday unfolded, one Twitter user suggested that, while Europe might not be perfect, Farage — still accused by many of whipping up xenophobia to aid his cause — may not be the best ally for Ireland. http://www.dw.com/en/irexit-brexits-nigel-farage-takes-fight-to-ireland/a-42443627

An “Irexit” would be an IRish EXIT from the European Union (Brexit stands for BRitish EXIT).

Now, there have been Irexit supporters prior to Nigel Farage’s visit.

But they have been a relatively small minority. One report I saw today stated that 80% of the Irish want to stay in the EU.

Nigel Farage might be so objectionable to the Irish that he could help doom the fledgling Irexit movement.

Another factor could be that the situation between the UK and EU related to the Brexit vote remains tense.

And so far, Ireland has been moving closer to the EU because of Brexit.

A while back, BBC’s Kevin Connolly reported (see EU states that UK must pay a price for Brexit and be worse off than EU member states):

The 27 EU Remainer states are adamant that Britain will pay a price for leaving and will be worse off outside than the union than it is on the inside.

Ireland is one of the 27 “Remainer states.”

Now notice the following related to Northern Ireland:

November 10, 2017

DUBLIN (Reuters) – Ireland’s foreign minister warned on Friday there was still “a way to go” in Brexit talks on the Irish border and welcomed an EU paper suggesting Britain needs to avoid “regulatory divergence” with the bloc if it wants to maintain a soft border.

The future EU/UK land border between Ireland and Northern Ireland is one of three issues — along with the exit bill and safeguarding expatriate rights — that Brussels wants broadly solved before it decides in December whether to give the green light to move on to talks on future trade relations.

“I think that there is a way to go between the two negotiating teams to be able to provide credible answers and sufficient progress in the context of the Irish border before we can move on to Phase Two,” Coveney told Irish state broadcaster RTE.

“While we welcome the language we get from the British government in the context of north-south challenges… there has always been a scepticism on how we are going to get there in the context of the British approach to Brexit as a whole.” http://www.reuters.com/article/us-britain-eu-ireland/ireland-sees-a-way-to-go-before-agreement-on-border-in-brexit-talks-idUSKBN1DA107?il=0

The border between the Republic of Ireland and the UK’s Northern Ireland has been open for some time, and now there are concerns as well as confusion on what will happen in the future because of Brexit.

Despite British hopes for its future, loss of territories will one day include Northern Ireland. Notice a couple of prophetic warnings that are consistent with that:

24 ‘Do not defile yourselves with any of these things; for by all these the nations are defiled, which I am casting out before you. 25 For the land is defiled; therefore I visit the punishment of its iniquity upon it, and the land vomits out its inhabitants. 26 You shall therefore keep My statutes and My judgments, and shall not commit any of these abominations, either any of your own nation or any stranger who dwells among you 27 (for all these abominations the men of the land have done, who were before you, and thus the land is defiled), 28 lest the land vomit you out also when you defile it, as it vomited out the nations that were before you. (Leviticus 18:24-29)

23 ‘And if by these things you are not reformed by Me, but walk contrary to Me, 24 then I also will walk contrary to you, and I will punish you yet seven times for your sins. 25 And I will bring a sword against you that will execute the vengeance of the covenant; when you are gathered together within your cities I will send pestilence among you; and you shall be delivered into the hand of the enemy. (Leviticus 26:23-25)

58 “If you do not carefully observe all the words of this law that are written in this book, that you may fear this glorious and awesome name, THE LORD YOUR GOD, 59 then the Lord will bring upon you and your descendants extraordinary plagues — great and prolonged plagues — and serious and prolonged sicknesses. 60 Moreover He will bring back on you all the diseases of Egypt, of which you were afraid, and they shall cling to you. 61 Also every sickness and every plague, which is not written in this Book of the Law, will the Lord bring upon you until you are destroyed. 62 You shall be left few in number, whereas you were as the stars of heaven in multitude, because you would not obey the voice of the Lord your God. 63 And it shall be, that just as the Lord rejoiced over you to do you good and multiply you, so the Lord will rejoice over you to destroy you and bring you to nothing; and you shall be plucked from off the land which you go to possess. (Deuteronomy 28:58-63)

These territorial losses will include Northern Ireland as well as England, Wales, Scotland, and Gibraltar,. Yes, one day, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland will be no more.

For many years, the major sea gates of the world were possessed/controlled by the United States (Panama Canal and certain locations in the Pacific ocean) and the British Empire (Straits of Malacca, Singapore, Suez Canal, Bab el Mandeb, Strait of Hormuz, Simon’s Town/Cape of Good Hope, etc.). And while that is no longer the case for many of them, they seem to have been prophesied to be taken away for disobedience as well (cf. Deuteronomy 28)—and certainly these nations have disobeyed the God of Abraham, as well as actually lost many of those gates. Thus, it seems logical to conclude that the remaining “sea gates” that the UK has such as Gibraltar and the Falkland Islands will be separated from UK control. Spain directly, or perhaps, through the EU (or some other European confederation) indirectly, will force out British control over Gibraltar.

And I expect that the Republic of Ireland (or at least an Irish leader) will have control over Northern Ireland and probably other lands as well.

Notice what Article 3 the Irish Constitution states:

It is the firm will of the Irish Nation, in harmony and friendship, to unite all the people who share the territory of the island of Ireland, in all the diversity of their identities and traditions, recognising that a united Ireland shall be brought about only by peaceful means with the consent of a majority of the people, democratically expressed, in both jurisdictions in the island. Until then, the laws enacted by the Parliament established by this Constitution shall have the like area and extent of application as the laws enacted by the Parliament that existed immediately before the coming into operation of this Constitution.

While the democratic way is one way, if that does not work, military pressure will accomplish this (cf. Daniel 8:24-25, 11:39; see also USA in Prophecy: The Strongest Fortresses).

Maybe this is a good time to look at some statements put out by the old Radio Church of God over five decades ago:

CHANGES are fast raking place in the Republic of Ireland. The Irish are beginning to stand on their feet. The German·dominated Common Market has given the Irish a new sense of purpose and push. …

From the Bible prophecies, we know that a fascist military combine of European narions-a resurrected Roman Empire called the “Beast” in the Book of Revelation-will attack, destroy and capture the Israelitish nations of the United States and Great Britain. Ireland is in an ideally situated strategic location for such a military offensive. … Watch Europe. Watch Germany . And watch Ireland! (Boraker R. EUROPE’S PLAN for a New IRELAND. Plain Truth, October 1963)

(Note: The Common Market is now the European Union.) Does a European military presence sound far-fetched?

First, notice the following, which might have seemed to dismiss the idea:

EU military proposal poses challenge for Ireland

September 12, 2016

Ireland has traditionally been staunchly opposed to the concept of enhanced EU military co-operation, though it does partake in a number of common security and defence policy missions.

The EU’s foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini outlined her intention earlier this month to devise “an ambitious implementation plan on security and defence” that would make use of previously unused articles of the Lisbon Treaty.

Among the main proposals under consideration is a “permanent structured co-operation” mechanism which would encourage like-minded countries to pool military and defence capabilities.

But, Ireland did not remain “staunchly opposed to the concept of enhanced EU military co-operation.”

Fourteen-months later, Ireland did join and back “a permanent structured co-operation” treaty in 2017:

Explainer: Ireland joins PESCO… is it the start of an EU army?

Ireland this week joined PESCO, an EU body that aims to boost military cooperation. Supporters believe that it is vital to boost security in the age of Putin and Trump, while opponents fear it is the first step on the road to a European army.

December 17, 2017

It is an idea that many would shudder to contemplate. Some time in the 2020s, Irish soldiers could go to war under the blue flag of the European Union.

A European army may seem like a long way off – a pipe dream of arch-federalists who want to see an EU superstate. …

In a highly significant move that was overshadowed by the Brexit negotiations, the Irish Government this week signed us up for the new EU defence body Permanent Structured Cooperation, known as PESCO. We are joining with 24 other countries.

The Government insists that introduction of the body no way heralds the start of a continental army, but its critics and some of its more ardent advocates see it as a significant step along the road.

In its foundation documents, PESCO is described a crucial step towards strengthening a “common defence policy”.

Ireland has already expressed an interest in taking part in a number of projects with EU partners including an upgrade of our maritime surveillance and the use of underwater drones to patrol the coast.

The Government also wants to take part in a centre of excellence for EU military training and work with other countries on cybersecurity. There are hopes that the training centre could be located at the Curragh Camp, where there are already plans for an institute that will focus on peacekeeping and conflict resolution. …

The creation of a continental army may still be a long way off, but there is no doubt that the arrival of PESCO marks the start of an era of much closer military cooperation.

The isolationist and erratic foreign policy of Donald Trump and incursions by Russia into Ukraine have highlighted this need, according to some analysts.

Ben Tonra, professor of international relations at UCD and an authority on European defence policy, says: “If you have threats to the East with Vladimir Putin’s Russia and instability to the West with Trump, politicians are now asking if it is now time for Europe to get its act together.” https://www.independent.ie/irish-news/explainer-ireland-joins-pesco-is-it-the-start-of-an-eu-army-36409443.html

Whether or not there end up being any official EU military bases in Ireland, and I believe there will, Europe will takeover England, Scotland, Northern Ireland, and Wales. They will likely have at least some Irish in charge of them.

Most people do NOT realize what will happen in Europe.

Will there be a EUROPEAN ARMY?

Yes.

The Bible teaches that European military successes will end up surprising the world (Revelation 13:3-4) and that Europe will end up “with a great army” (Daniel 11:25).

Europe is taking steps consistent with biblical prophecies.

Remember, Europe is quite upset about the Brexit and Donald Trump (and by extension the USA).

Europe will one day take militaristic actions that most of those in the UK (as well as USA and Canada) will not consider possible (cf. Daniel 8:24-25, 11:39; see also USA in Prophecy: The Strongest Fortresses).

Brexit and the fate of Northern Ireland, Gibraltar, the UK, and the USA On April 29, 2017, 27 of the nations of the European Union agreed to certain guidelines for the negotiations with the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland which gave its notice to leave on March 29, 2017. These guidelines are contrary to what the UK wants. Does the EU intend the UK to pay a price for leaving the EU? What does Spain want? What does the Republic of Ireland want? Will Northern Ireland and Gibraltar eventually fall under European control? Will the UK and USA be conquered? What does the Bible teach? Dr. Thiel answer these questions and more in this video.
Forbes’ Brexit Monster is the Beast of Revelation Various ones have been properly convinced that there is a plan for a European superstate. Forbes’ writer Tom Worstall wrote that the Brexit vote was about the United Kingdom “not joining the monster of the European Union to come.” The Bible tells of a Beast monster that will arise in the end times in Europe. Dr. Thiel cites news reports, as well as the Old and New Testaments, to show that the monster many fear will arise in Europe, despite the vote by the British to exit the European Union. This is a video.
Will the UK Lose Gibraltar and the Falkland Islands? For many years, the major sea gates of the world were possessed/controlled by the United States (Panama Canal and certain locations in the Pacific ocean) and the British Empire (Straits of Malacca, Singapore, Suez Canal, Bab el Mandeb, Strait of Hormuz, Simon’s Town/Cape of Good Hope, Malta, etc.), and many are no longer under their control. Spain wants Gibraltar and Argentina wants the Falklands (also known as the Malvinas). UK Prime Minister David Cameron says the UK will defend the Falklands Gibraltar. Does the Bible give clues as to what will happen with those ‘sea gates’? Do promises made the Jacob’s mother Rebekah play a role? What about Deuteronomy 28? This is a video.
Post Brexit Prophecy On June 23, 2016, the voters of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (UK) chose to leave the European Union. Now with this BRitish EXIT (Brexit) vote, what is prophesied to happen to the UK? Will the UK do well or be taken over and made slaves? Dr. Thiel explains from biblical prophecies what is ahead for the UK, Europe, and even the USA, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. This is a video.

He also goes over something he wrote back in 2008 that the Trump presidency is also helping lead to fulfillment. Should you trust Bible prophecy or not? Dr. Thiel says that Bible prophecy can be trusted, despite the view of skeptics and others that either overlook or despise the Bible. This is a video.
