Last night, probably for the only time in my life, I went to the movies on a Monday night. My wife and I saw Dinesh D’Souza’s Hillary’s America: The Secret History of the Democratic Party ‘documentary.’ Here is some of what Dinesh D’Souza’s website says about it:

Since I have written 2 editions of a book related to Hillary Clinton (Hillary Clinton, Prophecy, and the Destruction of the United States) and I am to be on radio to discuss that today (1:00 pm Central Daylight Time on the Nutri-Medical Report on the Republic Broadcasting Network) today, I decided to see the film.

I had mixed feelings about the film.

First of all, it is not that much about Hillary Clinton as the title might suggest. A lot of the film is about how Democratic leaders dating back to Andrew Jackson abusing ‘African American’ women.

Dinesh D’Souza basically says that the Democratic Party has always worked to put people of color down, and that it was the Republican Party that was behind freeing the slaves, pushing for the original civil rights acts, pushing for Constitutional amendments to help blacks that Democrats opposed, and that more Congressional Republicans than Democrats voted for the Civil Rights Act of 1964 than Democrats.

The film also discussed the Klux Klux Klan (KKK) as basically a Democratic Party arm that received praise from various Democratic leaders in the past.

In the film, Dinesh D’Souza provides quotes from former Democratic Presidents Woodrow Wilson and Lyndon B. Johnson to show that they were basically against black people. He also had a statement or two he attributed to Lyndon Johnson stating that he needed to give a little to the blacks, so that they would end up supporting the Democratic Party for the next 200 years, which is why he apparently pushed the Civil Rights Act (one, that Dinesh D’Souza said was similar to one that Republicans had pushed for 100 years before, but that Democrats had stopped).

Dinesh D’Souza did spend some time discussing the racist views of Planned Parenthood co-founder Margaret Sanger, who he said was a Democrat. Planned Parenthood is the largest overall provider of abortions in the USA.

Dinesh D’Souza also reported quotes from two people who telephoned Planned Parenthood who asked if they gave donations to pay for black people to get abortions, because the ‘donors’ did not want more black people around, that the Planned Parenthood representatives said that yes, they would accept money for that–this was quite disturbing, but again, Planned Parenthood has a history of being on the wrong side of several issues.

Here are some racial statements attributed to its founder Margaret Sanger from another source:

On blacks, immigrants and indigents:
“…human weeds,’ ‘reckless breeders,’ ‘spawning… human beings who never should have been born.”  Margaret Sanger, Pivot of Civilization, referring to immigrants and poor people

On sterilization & racial purification:
Sanger believed that, for the purpose of racial “purification,” couples should be rewarded who chose sterilization. Birth Control in America, The Career of Margaret Sanger, by David Kennedy, p. 117, quoting a 1923 Sanger speech.

On the extermination of blacks:

Dinesh D’Souza’s film itself reported that Margaret Sanger was a big promoter of eugenics–basically promoting reproduction by those who had ‘more desirable traits’ according to people like Margaret Sanger.

Racial hatred is wrong.

In the film Hillary’s America: The Secret History of the Democratic Party Hillary Clinton is shown praising Margaret Sanger. Now perhaps I should add that Planned Parenthood has put out a report claiming that various racist statements attributed to Margaret Sanger were either not made by her (but by some of her supporters) or somehow are taken out of context or do not mean what they seem to state.

Here is something from Planned Parenthood’s Fact Sheet on Margaret Sanger:

“We do not want word to get out that we want to exterminate the Negro population.”

Sanger was aware of African-American concerns,passionately argued by Marcus Garvey in the 1920s,that birth control was a threat to the survival of the black race. This statement, which acknowledges those fears, is taken from a letter to Clarence J. So, Planned Parenthood does admit the above, but tries to paint it as a positive. Part of the point of Dinesh D’Souza’s film was he felt that the Democratic Party did not want to get the word out that it has a serious history of racism or what its true agenda is.

Let me add that I do not believe that Hillary Clinton, who is heavily pro-abortion, should have praised Margaret Sanger as she did. And yes, I do believe that Margaret Sanger had racial bias.

That being said, Dinesh D’Souza’s film focused on the idea that the Democratic Party has long pushed for white superiority and wanted black Americans dead, and I flatly do not believe that is Hillary Clinton’s position. Blacks vote overwhelmingly for Democrats, and Mrs. Clinton is aware of that–and she wants their votes. Additionally, the basic position of the Democratic Party is pro-Hispanic immigration and if the Democratic Party was as into white supremacy as Dinesh D’Souza’s film indicated, it would not do that.

Overall, the film, though bringing up some interesting historical points, simply did not bring up the amount of information about Hillary Clinton that I thought it would.  I ended up seeing Dinesh D’Souza’s movie about Barack Obama in 2012 and felt that it had a lot more information than his latest one.

While he indicated that Bill and Hillary Clinton had some type of political arrangement, Dinesh D’Souza failed to provide direct quotes that could have better demonstrated that.  For example, he could have said that the BBC reported in 2014:

Bill Clinton says he made a deal with his wife Hillary that after she supported his political career for 26 years, he would do the same whatever career she chose.

Dinesh D’Souza stated that the Democrats in general, and Hillary Clinton in particular, wanted control. Thus, I was surprised that he did not have the following April 2015 quote by Hillary Clinton in his film, which I have in my book Hillary Clinton, Prophecy, and the Destruction of the United States:

Laws have to be backed up with resources and political will. And deep-seated cultural codes, religious beliefs and structural biases have to be changed.

In other words, Hillary Clinton seems to want enough control that she can change religion to conform to her image.

The film Hillary’s America: The Secret History of the Democratic Party does attempt to cover, usually very, very briefly, some of Hillary Clinton’s scandals. But I feel that much more could have been covered.

Hillary’s America: The Secret History of the Democratic Party ends with 2-3 ‘patriotic’ songs and then basically tells people to vote Republican. During the relatively long songs, it would have been a good opportunity to show quotes and/or list more specifics about Hillary Clinton and her policies.

Overall, Hillary’s America: The Secret History of the Democratic Party was more about trying to tie the Democratic Party to racism and putting out misinformation than it was about Hillary Clinton, though she was certainly part of the film.

Speaking of the Democratic Party, its national convention began last night. While many want greater party unity, there are many supporters of Bernie Sanders who are upset about what they see as betrayals to their cause. Here is one:

Sen. Elizabeth Warren was repeatedly heckled Monday night as she delivered a speech endorsing Hillary Clinton to the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia.

“We trusted you! This has been a strange, and highly divisive, election cycle in the USA.
