The area in Seattle originally called the Capital Hill Autonomous Zone (CHAZ) and then renamed as Capital Hill Organized Protest (CHOP) is set to to be dismantled:

Seattle’s mayor has said the city plans to take back a district that is being occupied by armed protesters, after three people were shot at the weekend.
Mayor Jenny Durkan said the violence had become “increasingly difficult” for businesses and residents.
She said the city would work with the demonstrators to end the so-called Capitol Hill Occupied Protest zone.
The city centre zone was taken over by protesters on 8 June after police withdrew following violent clashes.
What did the mayor say?
Mayor Durkan, who has been under growing pressure to crack down on the protest zone, told a news conference on Monday the city police department would return to its precinct “peacefully and in the near future”.
“The cumulative impacts of the gatherings and protests and the night-time atmosphere and violence,” she said, “has led to increasingly difficult circumstances for our businesses and residents.

Demonstrators will not be removed by force, Mayor Jenny Durkan said, but the city will be working with Black-led community organizations to speak with leaders of the “Capitol Hill Organized Protest” to persuade them to leave the area.
All police were pulled out of the Seattle Police Department precinct in the neighborhood as tensions boiled over during protests over the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis police custody. But this weekend brought three nighttime shootings in the area, Durkan said, and officials especially want protesters out during the overnight hours.
“We can still accommodate people who want to protest peacefully,” Durkan said “But the impacts on the businesses and residents in the community are now too much.” …
The three people who were shot in the area over the weekend include a 19-year-old who was killed, Best said. First responders were prevented from quickly reaching the victims because they were met by a “hostile crowd,” she said.
“It is not unnoticed that the victims were Black men,” Mayor Durkan said.
Best said there have also been reports of rape, arson and property destruction.

Faced with growing pressure to crack down on the “occupied” protest zone following two weekend shootings, Seattle’s mayor said Monday that officials will move to wind down the blocks-long span of city streets taken over two weeks ago.
As AP reports, Mayor Jenny Durkan said at a news conference that the violence was distracting from changes sought by thousands of peaceful protesters seeking to address racial inequity and police brutality. She said the city is working with the community to bring the “Capitol Hill Occupied Protest” zone to an end.
“The cumulative impacts of the gatherings and protests and the nighttime atmosphere and violence has led to increasingly difficult circumstances for our businesses and residents,” Durkan said.
“The impacts have increased and the safety has decreased.” …
Andre Taylor, who founded of the anti-police-shooting organization Not This Time! after his brother was killed by Seattle police in 2016, said Monday that he had warned protest organizers that the city would need to retake the area because of the violence.
“That CHOP area is attracting this kind of activity and it’s unsafe,” Taylor said in a Facebook video. …
Trump, who had tweeted that the area was being run by “anarchists” has previously criticized Durkan and Washington Gov. Allowing the areas to have been taken over in the first place was never fair for the residents and businesses in the area. And it was unsafe from the beginning.
It looks like because of the violence there, it is becoming more of a political embarrassment to the mayor and action is being taken.
The CHAZ/CHOP region brought the following to mind:
7 Their feet run to evil,
And they make haste to shed innocent blood;
Their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity;
Wasting and destruction are in their paths.
8 The way of peace they have not known,
And there is no justice in their ways;
They have made themselves crooked paths;
Whoever takes that way shall not know peace. (Isaiah 59:7-8)17 And the way of peace they have not known.”
18 “There is no fear of God before their eyes.” (Romans 3:17-18)
Protests and occupying lands are not the answer. The Kingdom of God is the Solution.
Notice a prophecy about John the Baptist:
76 “And you, child, will be called the prophet of the Highest; For you will go before the face of the Lord to prepare His ways, 77 To give knowledge of salvation to His people By the remission of their sins, 78 Through the tender mercy of our God, With which the Dayspring from on high has visited us; 79 To give light to those who sit in darkness and the shadow of death, To guide our feet into the way of peace.” (Luke 1:76-79)
John the Baptist taught peace and pointed people to Jesus and His mercy. Most people who profess Jesus do not comprehend the extent of God’s mercy (to learn more about it, check out the free online book: Universal OFFER of Salvation, Apokatastasis: Can God save the lost in an age to come? Hundreds of scriptures reveal God’s plan of salvation).
As far as the way of peace and policing goes, notice what John the Baptist taught:
14 Likewise the soldiers asked him, saying, “And what shall we do?” So he said to them, “Do not intimidate anyone or accuse falsely, and be content with your wages” (Luke 3:14).
The word translated as ‘intimidate’ is the Greek word diaseio which the KJV translates as violence. Strong’s Concordance translates it to shake thoroughly, to intimidate, to do violence to. It comes from two Greek words ‘diagnosis’ and ‘seio’; diagnosis is translated as examination and seio as to rock, agitate, to throw in a tremor. There is no way a soldier cannot ‘agitate/intimidate’ if they are trying to kill someone.
Yes, police were not to be violent.
Nor, of course, should the protesters have been.
There is a way of peace.
