UN declaration related to ‘two-state solution’ between Israel and Palestine about to ‘change everything’?

There are more calls for a two-state solution for Palestine and Israel:

August 1, 2025

France and the United Kingdom are among the latest countries preparing to formally recognize a state of Palestine — a move by two permanent members of the U.N. Security Council that would deepen their split with Israel and the United States over the 22-month war in Gaza. Canada this week also joined the chorus of nations that have recently signaled openness to recognizing Palestinian statehood.

The planned recognition, expected as early as September, could mark a turning point. …

More than 145 countries recognize a state of Palestine.

Mouin Rabbani, a nonresident senior fellow with the Middle East Council on Global Affairs research group, says the move — though largely symbolic — carries diplomatic weight. “When you have states with the significance and importance of France and Britain taking this measure, it does leave the sense of a dam breaking,” Rabbani says. “One can expect others to follow.” …

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said in a statement that recognizing a Palestinian state “rewards Hamas’s monstrous terrorism & punishes its victims.” U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio shared that sentiment in a post on X last week that called it a “reckless decision” that “only serves Hamas propaganda.” Palestinian Authority officials welcomed the announcements by France and the U.K., while the BBC reported that Hamas called France’s action a “positive step.” https://www.npr.org/2025/08/01/nx-s1-5485359/france-uk-palestine-state-explainer

Germany’s foreign minister said on Thursday recognition of a Palestinian state should come at the end of talks on a two-state solution https://www.reuters.com/world/middle-east/germany-respond-any-unilateral-israeli-moves-palestinian-territories-minister-2025-07-31/

Palestinian Authority President Abbas has been pleased with the latest support for two-states (see also France plans to endorse ‘two-state solution’ — Palestinian President Abbas pleased, but USA objects).

President Abbas, during the first Trump Administration, said he wanted European involvement in resolving the situation in that region (see Trump Administration delays revealing peace plan; PA President Abbas wants Europe to mediate peace deal).

Michael Snyder has voiced his concerns:

Something REALLY BIG Just Happened At The UN, And It Appears That “The New York Declaration” Could Potentially Change Everything

We are literally witnessing the biggest international push for recognition of a Palestinian state that we have ever witnessed.  The “International Conference for the Peaceful Settlement of the Question of Palestine and the Implementation of the Two-State Solution” ended on Wednesday, and it produced a blueprint for peace in the Middle East called “the New York Declaration”.  The following information about “the New York Declaration” comes from the official UN website

The High-level International Conference for the Peaceful Settlement of the Question of Palestine and the Implementation of the Two-State Solution took place in New York from 28 to 30 July.

The United States and Israel did not participate.

France and Saudi Arabia, co-chairs of the conference, called on all UN Member States to support a declaration urging collective action to end the war in Gaza and to achieve a just, peaceful and lasting settlement of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

The New York Declaration on the Peaceful Settlement of the Question of Palestine and the Implementation of the Two-State Solution outlines political, humanitarian and security steps to be taken on a timebound and irreversible basis.

The co-chairs urged countries to endorse the declaration by the end of the 79th session of the General Assembly, in early September, should they so wish.

Ending the war in Gaza is just the first step in the plan.

Once that occurs, the goal is to transfer control of Gaza to the Palestinian Authority and then have as many nations as possible officially recognize a Palestinian state. …

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt has explained that President Trump believes that international recognition of a Palestinian state before the war has concluded would be “rewarding Hamas”

Press secretary Karoline Leavitt notes, emphatically, that the president disagrees with the leaders of the UK, France, and Canada and their decision to recognise Palestinian statehood if Israel fails to agree to a ceasefire in the coming months.

“He feels as though that’s rewarding Hamas at a time where Hamas is the true impediment to a cease fire into the release of all of the hostages,” she said.

But once the war is over, the Trump administration is very open to making recognition of a Palestinian state part of a comprehensive Middle East peace deal. …

The bottom line is that a Palestinian state is coming.

And once we get to that point, everything will change. 07/31/25 https://endoftheamericandream.com/something-really-big-just-happened-at-the-un-and-it-appears-that-the-new-york-declaration-could-potentially-change-everything/

Yes, a type of Palestinian state is coming.

Even the so-called ‘deal of the century’ from the first Trump Administration essentially was a supporting proposal for that (watch also Trump’s Deal of the Century and Daniel 9 27?).

The reality is that Palestinian Authority has issues with the USA and specifically does not trust the Trump Administration. The recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and the moving of the US embassy to Jerusalem brought Palestinian condemnation as well as statements against trusting the US to broker a peace deal in the first Trump Administration.

Although many in Israel claim “Jerusalem is its eternal, undivided capital” (http://www.cbn.com/cbnnews/insideisrael/2013/November/Will-Jerusalem-Be-Divided-Again/), the Bible shows that Jerusalem will be divided (Zechariah 14:1-2).

The Bible also shows that the time will come when there will be a temporary ‘peace deal’ (see the article The ‘Peace Deal’ of Daniel 9:27)–this will lead to many things, including what, for a time, could be called a “two-state solution.”

The Bible teaches that a European leader will be involved in confirming the coming prophesied deal of Daniel 9:26-27, which states:

26 And the people of the prince who is to come Shall destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end of it shall be with a flood, And till the end of the war desolations are determined. 27 Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week; But in the middle of the week He shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering. And on the wing of abominations shall be one who makes desolate, Even until the consummation, which is determined, Is poured out on the desolate (Daniel 9:26-27).

The “prince” is a European leader who is later called the King of the North in Daniel 11:40. I have long contended that the deal of Daniel 9:27 will lead to the final 7 year countdown to the return of Jesus.

The ‘one week’ of Daniel 9:27 has generally been understood by prophecy watchers to mean a seven year deal, that is broken in the middle of it (after 3 1/2 years). This breaking of the deal is also confirmed in the following scripture:

31 And forces shall be mustered by him, and they shall defile the sanctuary fortress; then they shall take away the daily sacrifices, and place there the abomination of desolation. (Daniel 11:31)

The “him” is the European King of the North.

With various ones wanting some part of Middle East peace deal, Europeans wanting to be involved, and Palestinians wanting Europe involved, we are seeing steps on the world scene that are aligning with properly understood biblical prophecies.
