‘Get Ready: The World is About to Need You’

Notice the following (bolding in source):

Get Ready: The World is About to Need You

by Matt Smith

We could have done better preparing. We could have responded quicker, communicated better, and pointed fingers less.

None of that matters now.

We need to put that behind and focus on the coming weeks and months. Hopefully you’ve taken some action to physically prepare yourself.

Now it’s time to get your head on straight. You need to get mentally ready for what’s coming. …

By negatively visualizing the worst outcomes, you prepare yourself to stand up when the world needs you.

The Hardships We Must Face

So let’s focus on some of those negative things for a moment. To some degree, these things will impact your life. There’s no way out. There is only through.

  • You’ll be spending a lot of time at home. …
  • Schools closed. …
  • Events cancelled. …
  • You may get sick. You may even die. Most people I know don’t worry about getting sick. They’re relatively fit and, like all humans, think it won’t happen to them. It might. …
  • People you love will get sick. Some will die well ahead of their time. …
  • People will behave badly. We’ve seen people fighting over things that aren’t critical already; things like toilet paper. So you can imagine what will happen when people can’t get things they desperately need. It will happen. …
  • Supply Chain disruption Weeks from now we won’t have access to the things that have always been cheap and abundant. …
  • Economy will enter a recession.
  • Income will take a hit. People will lose their jobs. Household income will shrink. The government will print money and it will soften the blow in the short term. In exchange, the long term will be sacrificed once again. More unpayable debt. More debasement of the currency.
  • Borders will close. We’ve seen this already, but it’ll increase in the coming days.
  • International cooperation falls and tensions rise. Heads of state will seek scapegoats to redirect blame for the suffering of their people. …

So that’s the bad news. Or at least part of it. …

Seeing the worst doesn’t mean you’re resigning your fate to it. In fact, it’s the opposite. By seeing the worst, you won’t bury your head in the sand need to run from it in fear.

Everyone I know wants their life to mean something. This is our chance. It’s not like we imagined, but it’s here in front of us.

Get ready. The world is about to need you. https://internationalman.com/articles/get-ready-the-world-is-about-to-need-you/ accessed 03/21/20

Now, getting ready physically for disasters is something Christians already should have been doing (see Physical Preparation Scriptures for Christians and/or watch a related sermon: Physical preparedness for Christians).

But what about being prepared spiritually?

Most of the world truly does not believe the Bible.

Most of the world does not understand biblical prophecy.

Isn’t this a time, for you, if you do to get the truth out?

Jesus wants YOU to support the end time Philadelphian work:

7 “And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write,

‘These things says He who is holy, He who is true, “He who has the key of David, He who opens and no one shuts, and shuts and no one opens”: 8 “I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name. 9 Indeed I will make those of the synagogue of Satan, who say they are Jews and are not, but lie — indeed I will make them come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you. 10 Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth. 11 Behold, I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown. 12 He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he shall go out no more. I will write on him the name of My God and the name of the city of My God, the New Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God. And I will write on him My new name.

13 “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”‘ (Revelation 3:7-13)

Sadly, most Christians are not Philadelphian. Most in the 21st century will not support the Philadelphian work–but they should.

Notice what Jesus said to non-Philadelphian end time Christians:

1″And to the angel of the church in Sardis write,

‘These things says He who has the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars: “I know your works, that you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead. 2 Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die, for I have not found your works perfect before God. 3 Remember therefore how you have received and heard; hold fast and repent. Therefore if you will not watch, I will come upon you as a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come upon you. 4 You have a few names even in Sardis who have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with Me in white, for they are worthy. 5 He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.

6 “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”‘ (Revelation 3:1-6)

14 “And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write,

‘These things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God: 15 “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. 16 So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth. 17 Because you say, ‘I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’ — and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked — 18 I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see. 19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent. 20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me. 21 To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.

22 “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”‘” (Revelation 3:14-22)

Most end time Christians DO NOT REALLY WANT TO HEAR WHAT THE SPIRIT SAYS TO THE CHURCHES.

Those of Sardis essentially are of Church of God, Seventh Day. Most of those of Laodiceans (notice the plural in Revelation 3:14) are essentially groups and independents that somehow developed out of the old WCG, yet do not truly accept Philadelphian governance (see The Bible, Peter, Paul, John, Polycarp, Herbert W. Armstrong, Roderick C. Meredith, and Bob Thiel on Church Government) and the true end time Philadelphian work (see The Final Phase of the Work and Why Bob Thiel Left the Living Church of God)–they do NOT possess the true Philadelphian mantle (see also Herbert W. Armstrong, the Philadelphia Church, & the Mantle). CCOG is leading the final phase of the work and CCOG has the confirmed signs of Acts 2:17-18. “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”

Yet, most Christians in the end time will NOT be Philadelphian. Jesus warns and condemns those who do not support the Philadelphian work.

The non-Philadelphians will be overcome by the Beast for 3 1/2 years:

3 And I saw one of his heads as if it had been mortally wounded, and his deadly wound was healed. And all the world marveled and followed the beast. 4 So they worshiped the dragon who gave authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?”

5 And he was given a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies, and he was given authority to continue for forty-two months. 6 Then he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme His name, His tabernacle, and those who dwell in heaven. 7 It was granted to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them. (Revelation 13:3-7)

Which are you? A true Philadelphian or something else?

Consider the following:

13 And Mordecai told them to answer Esther: “Do not think in your heart that you will escape in the king’s palace any more than all the other Jews. 14 For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” (Esther 4:13-14)

Are you being called in the Kingdom now to assist others, or will you perish like most end time Christians will?

If you are striving, truly, to be Philadelphian, as far as YOU personally being used, consider the following:

31 And forces shall be mustered by him, and they shall defile the sanctuary fortress; then they shall take away the daily sacrifices, and place there the abomination of desolation. 32 Those who do wickedly against the covenant he shall corrupt with flattery; but the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits. 33 And those of the people who understand shall instruct many; yet for many days they shall fall by sword and flame, by captivity and plundering. 34 Now when they fall, they shall be aided with a little help; but many shall join with them by intrigue. 35 And some of those of understanding shall fall, to refine them, purify them, and make them white, until the time of the end; because it is still for the appointed time. (Daniel 11:31-35).

(The words in italics are NOT in the original Hebrew.) End time Philadelphian Christians will instruct many, but also be subject to persecution for it.

The persecutions above are by one called the King of the North (Daniel 11:40; 7:25a)–the King of the North will NOT like the message that the Philadelphians are proclaiming at least of part of which will likely be the Continuing Church of God identifying him to the world as the prophesied King of the North. The persecuted Christians will instruct many–probably explaining more perfectly things related to Matthew 24:14 and Matthew 28:19-20!

We in the Continuing Church of God have had our booklet, The Gospel of the Kingdom of God, translated into 100 languages (links to those are found at www.ccog.org). When the ‘Short Work‘ of Romans 9:28 is going on, we will be doing it. And, right now, we are working on it and preparing for it.

YOU can have your part.

Regarding why this world needs you, you might find the following Continuing Church of God sermon helpful:

1:14:43

Why did God make YOU? What is the biblical meaning pf life? Are you supposed to do good? Is there a place for works? What will you be rewarded for? What about love and the commandments? Does God have a specific role for you personally? Do you really trust God? Will you be able to give love in a unique manner in order to make eternity better for yourself and others? What about character and deification? Why did God create anything? This is third part of a three-part sermon series by Dr. Thiel.

This sermon series is based on the following free online book: The MYSTERY of GOD’s PLAN Why Did God Create Anything? Why did God make you?

Here is a link to the sermon: The Mystery of YOU.

Jesus taught:

36 Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man. (Luke 21:36)

James taught:

22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. 23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; 24 for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. 25 But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does. (James 1:22-25)

BE A DOER AND BE BLESSED.

Hopefully, the results of the COVID-19 situation are helping wake you up and motivating you to realize that you should have a role in supporting the true Philadelphian work.

The time to do so is now, before it is too late (cf. Zephaniah 2; watch Zephaniah’s ‘Gather Together’ Prophecy).

UPDATE 03/29/20: We just produced a video related to this post:

16:03

‘Get Ready: The World is About to Need You’

According to a secular source, related to COVID-19, Matt Smith wrote, “We could have been better prepared.” He also went over many issues, including lockdowns, illness, and deaths that should be anticipated related to COVID-19. But he then said, “Get ready. The world is about to need you.” Are you willing to step up spiritually and support the Philadelphian work? Most end time Christians are prophesied not to do so. Do the words the Mordecai passed on to Queen Esther have meaning for you today? Could you have been called into the Kingdom of God for a time such as this? What are the plans that God might have for you? Are you one who may have been prophesied to “instruct many” in the end time? Are you watching and praying? Are you cold or lukewarm when it comes to God’s work? Are you mainly a hearer of the word or a doer? Dr. Thiel goes over these subjects.
