Propaganda rag The Atlantic tries to blame inflation on “climate change” rather than all the money printing and disastrous Biden economic policies

February 9, 2022

The latest excuse to explain away runaway inflation is climate changeaccording to The Atlantic.

Writer Robinson Meyer contends that prices are soaring not because of the Federal Reserve’s monetary policies, which include endless fiat money printing, but rather because of “extreme weather and energy uncertainty.”

Meyer calls this made-up phenomenon “greenflation,” describing it as a “new era of climate-driven inflation” in America. (Related: OSHA is also now using climate change to try to justify mask mandates and other forms of covid fascism.)

Over the past year, consumer prices have skyrocketed by 7 percent, the fastest rate in nearly 40 years. Corrupt monetary policies imposed during the last administration as well as the current one are clearly to blame, however Meyer blames global warming.

Shortages of food and other consumer goods are also a result of climate change, according to Meyer, not the government’s Wuhan coronavirus (Covid-19) “vaccine” mandates and other fascist policies that delivered a death blow to supply chains.

“For years, scientists and economists have warned that climate change could cause massive shortages of major commodities, such as wine, chocolate, and cereals,” Meyer contends.

“Financial regulators have cautioned against a ‘disorderly transition,’ in which the world commits only haphazardly to leaving fossil fuels, so it does not invest enough in their zero-carbon replacements. In an economy as prosperous and powerful as America’s, those problems are likely to show up – at least at first – not as empty grocery shelves or bankrupt gas stations but as price increases.”

Oil and gas prices have also been soaring ever since fake “president” Joe Biden took office, and Meyer blames that, too, on “unprecedented weather disasters.” …

The Atlantic apparently has no understanding – or is deliberately shrouding the issue – about how fiat currency works. Not once did Meyer mention it, even though this is the biggest elephant in the room when it comes to runaway inflation.

Both Donald Trump and Joe Biden – as well as many presidents before them – printed unprecedented amounts of new cash to inject into the current corrupt system in order to keep it afloat.

All of this printing dilutes the money supply while eating away at Americans’ buying power. https://www.naturalnews.com/2022-02-09-propaganda-atlantic-blames-inflation-on-climate-change.html

I rarely cite Natural News as it is often prone towards exaggeration–particularly in its headlines. However, at least its article pointed out that the Trump Administration also greatly contributed to printing more money and helping set the stage for inflation.

That is not to excuse either the Obama or Biden Administrations, but only to point out that the amount of excess money printing was outrageously high in last three presidential administrations, plus it was too high in previous ones as well.

The reality is that printing some much currency debases the US dollar.

Current inflation, per se, is not because of “climate change.”

While there is “climate change,” and sin is a major factor (see Weather Blessings and Sorrows ), trying to tie that to current inflation is really side-stepping the obvious cause.

This debasing of the value of currency (called “dross” anciently), which is what the USA has been doing with its debt and quantitative easing policies, is condemned in the Bible.

4 Take away the dross from silver (Proverbs 25:4a).

22 Your silver has become dross, Your wine mixed with water. (Isaiah 1:22)

25 I will turn My hand against you, And thoroughly purge away your dross, And take away all your alloy. (Isaiah 1:25)

18 “Son of man, the house of Israel has become dross to Me; they are all bronze, tin, iron, and lead, in the midst of a furnace; they have become dross from silver. 19 Therefore thus says the Lord God: ‘Because you have all become dross, therefore behold, I will gather you into the midst of Jerusalem. 20 As men gather silver, bronze, iron, lead, and tin into the midst of a furnace, to blow fire on it, to melt it; so I will gather you in My anger and in My fury, and I will leave you there and melt you. 21 Yes, I will gather you and blow on you with the fire of My wrath, and you shall be melted in its midst. 22 As silver is melted in the midst of a furnace, so shall you be melted in its midst; then you shall know that I, the Lord, have poured out My fury on you.’” (Ezekiel 22:18-22)

The Bible warns against using dross and diluting the money supply. Over producing the money supply is a major factor in inflation. All properly trained economists know this. Yet, many modern ‘experts’ have a different view on debt and printing money. The wrong views on economics will lead to economic problems and ultimately the total crash of the dollar of the USA.

Last week it was reported that the USA hit $30 trillion in official federal debt  (see US National Debt Tops $30 Trillion). Jim Rickards posted about that this week:

U.S. Attains Frightening Milestone

February 7, 2022

Well, we did it! It took some hard work, but the United States finally managed to find itself with $30 trillion of government debt. …

Inflation Is the Only Way Out

The story of U.S. debt is not one in which the debt went up steadily for 230 years. The actual history is that the debt went up in times of war and it was paid back in times of peace. …

But the war debt was paid off during times of peace including the 1820s, 1870s, 1920s and 1990s. It was only after 2000 that things went off the rails and government debt went straight up under George W. Bush, Barack Obama, Donald Trump and Joe Biden.

Now the debt is unmanageable without inflation. Inflation favors debtors because they get to pay back the debt with depreciating dollars. It’s easier to pay down debt because you’re paying back debt with dollars that are less valuable than when you originally borrowed them. So inflation eases the real value of debt.

On the other hand, deflation increases the real value of debt. With deflation, the value of money increases, making it more burdensome to pay off debt. This is why debtors hate deflation.

The other way to deal with the debt is to default. But there’s no reason for the U.S. to default because the debt is in dollars and we can print the dollars.

That’s the great advantage of having the world’s leading reserve currency, what French Finance Minister Valéry Giscard d’Estaing termed the “exorbitant privilege” in the 1960s.

The Debt Death Trap

People who say, “We can’t pay off the national debt!” don’t understand this market. There’s no need to pay off the national debt. We just have to keep rolling it over. But to do that we need to maintain our credit standing, as Hamilton understood. Once our credit is called into question, the entire house of cards collapses. …

The national debt is $30 trillion. A $30 trillion debt would not be a serious issue if we had a $50 trillion economy.

But we don’t have a $50 trillion economy. We have about a $21 trillion economy, which means our debt is bigger than our economy.  …

In basic terms, in the bigger picture, the United States is going broke. We’re heading for a sovereign debt crisis. …

There’s no way out of the debt death trap except through inflation. https://dailyreckoning.com/u-s-attains-frightening-milestone/

National repentance and a willingness solve the debt situation could be done, but will not be.

More inflation, while inevitable, is not the only other way out.

There will be a “sovereign debt” crisis.

Here is something from my book Biden-Harris: Prophecies and Destruction:

Let us also consider that there is a prophecy in Habakkuk, written about 2600 years ago, about debt which is preceded by the following:

2 Then the Lord answered me and said:

Write the vision And make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it. (Habakkuk 2:2)

The Bible says that the ‘debt prophecy’ to be revealed later in Habakkuk 2 is so significant that those who read it should run—essentially that they should take steps because the results will be horrific. Joe Biden and many other American politicians have not run away from increasing U.S.A. debt—that will be to the nation’s peril.

The Bible warns about something that will happen to a heavily indebted nation. Notice what the Hebrew seer Habakkuk wrote over 2,600 years ago:

3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry … 5 Indeed, because he transgresses by wine, He is a proud man … 6 “Will not all these take up a proverb against him, And a taunting riddle against him, and say, ‘Woe to him who increases What is not his—how long? And to him who loads himself with many pledges’? Will not your creditors rise up suddenly? Will they not awaken who oppress you? And you will become their booty. 8 Because you have plundered many nations, All the remnant of the people shall plunder you… (Habakkuk 2:2-3,6–8). …

Notice that what is to happen is so bad, that people who read the prophecy should run, when it is time for it to be fulfilled. Since that prophecy is to be fulfilled at the appointed time of the end, it is still for the future, but perhaps not too far distant in the future. No nation has ever been in as much total debt as the U.S.A. …

The Bible clearly warns against cheapening the money supply and encourages having money hold its value (Proverbs 25:4 Isaiah 1:25, Ezekiel 22:18-22). Yet policies enacted under the Obama and Trump Administrations, following certain other administrations, have ignored these warnings.

No nation in the history of humankind has ever accumulated as much debt as the United States of America … Destruction is coming.

However, the relationship between debt accumulation and prophesied destruction remains unapparent to many. Because there is a time lag, many ignore that there will be real consequences (cf. Ecclesiastes 8:11; Habakkuk 2:3,6-8). Yet, these increases of debt are utterly dangerous.

When the time comes that the Federal Reserve is no longer able to keep interest rates artificially low, the U.S.A. will continue past the point of no return. That will become one of the final factors that will cause creditors to rise up and destroy the U.S.A. (Thiel B. Biden-Harris: Prophecies and Destruction. Nazarene Books, 2021)

We have already seen the Biden-Harris Administration increase official USA government debt. We are seeing climate and other proposals from the Biden-Harris Administration, if enacted, that will do that as well.

The truth is that the USA is setting itself up for massive inflation, as well as food shortages. Recently, we uploaded the following video:

12:03

Food Inflation & the 3rd Horseman of the Apocalypse

The Wall Street Journal, Reuters, UN’s FAO, and others are reporting food price inflation as well as often selected shortages of some food items. Might it get worse? Did Jesus prophesy famines? One analyst stated, “WE haven’t seen anything yet” in regards to rising food prices. Should Christians prepare? What about helping others? Does the ride of the third horseman of the Apocalypse (Revelation 6:5-6) point to a coming time of severe food inflation. Is more food price inflation coming? Dr. Thiel addresses these issues and more in this video.

Hyperinflation will hit the USA.

And while we are NOT there yet, its results, including increasing USA debt, will be worse than almost anyone realizes (cf. Habakkuk 2:6-8).

While I advocate reducing pollution (see The Bible, Christians, and the Environment), that is not the answer to the inflation situation.

National repentance is needed, but is not expected (Hosea 11:3a, 5b-7)–but you can repent if you respond to God’s calling.
