The Trump Administration released a report yesterday that opposed the European Union and many of its goals:
Trump Urges Europe in Peril to Change Course in New US Strategy
President Donald Trump delivered his most forceful critique of Europe yet in a new National Security Strategy released quietly early Friday.
The strategy lays out a sweeping recalibration of U.S. policy toward Europe, urging European governments to reclaim national sovereignty, restore open debate, secure their borders, and reduce reliance on what Washington calls the EU’s centralized bureaucracy in Brussels.
In the document, the president portrays Europe as an over-regulated, increasingly censorious bloc that has lost “self-confidence” and is facing “civilizational erasure” because of years of uncontrolled immigration.
The strategy makes clear that what critics label an “offensive against Europe” is, in Washington’s view, a necessary course correction …
It accuses Europe of leaning heavily on American power while refusing to take responsibility for its own security and its long-term direction. …
European leaders pushed back almost immediately, with German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul telling reporters in Berlin that his country does not need “outside advice.”
France’s Valérie Hayer, who leads the Renew Europe centrist bloc in the European Parliament, called the strategy “unacceptable and dangerous” in a statement on X.
Evan Feigenbaum, a former adviser to two U.S. secretaries of state and an Asia expert, said in a post on X that “the Europe section is by far the most striking – and far more so than the China/Asia sections.”
He added that the strategy “feels inherently more confrontational and pits the U.S. as decisively opposed to the whole European project” through its call for “cultivating resistance to Europe’s current trajectory within European nations.”

The Trump administration has released a new National Security Strategy for the United States in which it describes Europe as a continent in decline, warns that European nations are facing “civilisational erasure” because of migration and proposes to “cultivate resistance to Europe’s current trajectory within European nations”.
Published on Friday, the strategy spells out the administration’s vision for the US’s role in the global order, doubling down on President Donald Trump’s “America First” mantra and insisting that he is a “president of peace” who will err on the side of non-interventionism.
However, it also accuses European governments of “subversion of democratic processes” and condemns supranational and multilateral institutions – among them the European Union – which it says “undermine political liberty and sovereignty”

Donald Trump has launched a crusade to convert European politics to his cause, mobilizing the full force of American diplomacy to promote “patriotic” parties, stamp on migration, destroy “censorship” and save “civilization” from decay.

EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas on Saturday sought to downplay tensions with the US after the Trump administration released a national security paper that sharply criticized European allies.
Kallas’s remarks come as many European leaders fear that the US government is increasingly turning its back on the continent, …
“There’s a lot of criticism [in the paper], but I think some of it is also true; if you look at Europe, it has been underestimating its own power towards Russia,” Kallas said on a panel at the Doha Forum in Qatar.

I have long warned that the Europeans will position themselves as strong allies to the US until they decide it is time to turn militarily against the US, which is prophesied to happen (e.g. Daniel 11:39; Isaiah 10:5-11).

The USA was prophesied to be “great” in Genesis 48:19 and is considered by international sources to be great among the nations of the world today
The time will come when the USA and NATO will be no more. NATO or other arrangements could give the Europeans cover for publicly preparing for a military event, while giving it the ability to publicly state that such preparations are only parts of an exercise. The Germans have historically used the element of surprise to gain military advantage—remember WWII and blitzkrieg? Europe one day will turn on the USA (Lamentations 1:1-2, Daniel 11:39; Isaiah 10:5-12). Weapons of mass destruction, and not necessarily just nuclear, will be employed.
With the new National Security Strategy, Donald Trump has again offended the Europeans–which is something he has done for a decade or so.

Here are some warnings I made that Donald Trump would offend the Europeans:
Should he actually become President of the United States, his flamboyance and brashness are bound to offend the Europeans, and ultimately that will not turn out well for the USA (cf. Daniel 11:39). (Thiel B. Can Donald Trump make America great again? COGwriter, December 20, 2015)

Has he?
Certainly.
Furthermore, Donald Trump, himself, was one of the biggest non-European advocates of Brexit–the UK’s exit from the European Union. The EU did not like that.
Donald Trump wants Europe to break up into individual nation states as that would make it easier for the US to control each of them. The EU realizes this and does not like that.
While the Bible shows that the nations in Europe will not stick together well, it further shows that they would support the Beast until destroyed by God in Daniel 2:41-45.
And as far as a reorganization goes, the Bible points to at least two. Here is the first:
12 The ten horns which you saw are ten kings who have received no kingdom as yet, but they receive authority for one hour as kings with the beast. (Revelation 17:12)
These ten kings have no kingdom, but are to attain one. Thus, this is not discussing ten currently existing nations–this is a type of reorganization in verse 12. And basically a type of major or great reset (see also Is a Great Reset Coming?). This will result in a loss of national sovereignty. Since the EU may have 30 or so individual nation states as part of it at that time, carving Europe up into 10 ‘kingdoms’ shows a reduction in nation states–the opposite of what the Trump Administration hopes will happen.
Now notice that another reorganization will happen quickly after the first one:
13 These are of one mind, and they will give their power and authority to the beast. (Revelation 17:13)
Yes, Europe will cease to be some type of democracy and will end up being led by a dictator that the Bible calls the beast.
So, basically Europe will end up the opposite of what the Trump Administration hopes for.
By pushing and insulting Europe, some of the unintended consequences of the Donald Trump Administration is that Europe is deciding it cannot rely on the US (e.g. New World Order? German Chancellor Merz asserts, ‘The future of the world is created in Europe’) and that it must become a military power of its own (e.g. Europe to spend a $1 trillion on its military while the US considers cutting troop support).
That is consistent with various prophesies in the Bible and will surprise the world when it happens (cf. Revelation 13:3-4).
