Many seem to not realize that although the Bible prophesied that Germany would lose WWI and WWII:
23 And after the league is made with him he shall act deceitfully, for he shall come up and become strong with a small number of people. 24 He shall enter peaceably, even into the richest places of the province; and he shall do what his fathers have not done, nor his forefathers: he shall disperse among them the plunder, spoil, and riches; and he shall devise his plans against the strongholds, but only for a time. (Daniel 11:23-24)
Consider that the German-European alliance was defeated in WWI and WWII. So yes, the fathers (WWII) and forefathers (WWI) of the final King of the North failed to defeat the UK and USA those two times. But notice that he is prophesied to be successful against the strongholds, in this case meaning the military alliance of the USA and UK. The third time basically is WWIII and the Germanic-European King of the North Beast power will succeed per Daniel 11:24 and Daniel 11:39 (see also USA in Prophecy: The Strongest Fortresses). Despite having wealth and the strongholds, the USA and UK will be defeated (this is also basically confirmed in Daniel 11:39). And the USA is unknowingly pushing Europe in that direction.
Let me remind everyone that the Bible teaches that the coming European King of the North Beast power will have “a great army” (Daniel 11:25) and the Trump Administration is pushing Europe in that direction.

Yes, these types of moves by the Trump Administration are pushing the Europeans to develop their own stronger, independent military and AI.
European Union (EU) governments were considering doing this with “Palantir, the US-based data analytics company whose platforms serve as the data and artificial intelligence (AI) backbone for militaries worldwide” (see European governments are moving to reduce their reliance on Palantir–why?).
Now, with the latest software restriction, this will further push Europe to want more independence from the USA.
As reported here last month, the: EU and EAEU taking steps on computer chips, data, and AI to make them less dependent upon USA technology.
The European Union continues to move forward on its software goals.

I agree with Martin Armstrong that this is not because of personal privacy concerns. Europe will develop a type of digital prison as it will fulfill the ‘666’ prophecies of Revelation 13:16-18. Europe wants to be the leader in information technologies–and does not want to be dependent on the USA.
The Bible shows that a European power will arise whose leader will “understand hidden things”:
23 And in the latter end of their kingdom, about the perfecting of the transgressors, a king stands up, fierce of face, and understanding hidden things; (Daniel 8:23, LSV)
While the above is not limited to the use of software and data centers, understanding those look to be a factor in the fulfillment of that prophecy.
From a military perspective, I expect that the Europeans will guard/hide aspects of their technology (the CERN Large Hadron Collider and other projects come to mind), which will also assist it to fulfill militaristic prophecies such as in Revelation 13:3-4 and Daniel 11:39.
