US Congress and President hit record drops in polls; dollar risks?

Polls show that the US Congress along with its President Barack Obama are not well though of by more and more Americans:

NBC NewsTwo words sum up the mood of the nation: Fed up.
Six in 10 Americans are dissatisfied with the state of the U.S. economy, more than 70 percent believe the country is headed in the wrong direction, and nearly 80 percent are down on the country’s political system, according to the latest NBC News / Wall Street Journal poll.
The frustration carries over to the nation’s political leaders, with President Barack Obama’s overall approval rating hitting a new low at 40 percent, and a mere 14 percent of the public giving Congress a thumbs up…
Indeed, 57 percent of respondents told pollsters that something upsets them enough to carry a protest sign for a day.
“The public seems have moved beyond the plaintive cry of ‘Feel our pain!’ to the more angry pronouncement of ‘You are causing our pain!’”
A Record Number Of Americans Don’t Like Their Own Member Of Congress
Most Americans aren’t going to miss Congress while it’s on summer break.
A majority 51 percent of Americans disapprove of their own congressional representative, according to a Washington Post/ABC News poll released Tuesday. That’s the first time in the quarter-century history of the poll that the disapproval rating has risen above 50 percent, outstripping even the 47 percent who disapproved during last year’s government shutdown.
Terrible ratings for Congress, which has an average approval rating of under 12 percent, are nothing new (a recent survey asking Americans how they’d fix Congress prompted such helpful suggestions as “lock them in a room together until they get along” and “well placed dynamite”).
In the past, though, Americans have tended to feel more warmly toward their own district’s representative than toward the legislative branch as a whole. Lately, however, that number too has taken a dive in national polling.
That still doesn’t mean that most incumbents’ jobs are at risk. In the June before Republicans took back the House in 2010, 40 percent of Americans told Gallup their representative didn’t deserve to be re-elected, yet 85 percent of members seeking re-election held onto their seats anyhow.
The Post/ABC News poll, which surveyed 1,029 adults by phone between July 30 and Aug. 3, also found that Democrats and Republicans disapproved of their representatives in about equal measure — 46 and 44 percent, respectively. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/08/05/congress-poll_n_5650726.html?utm_hp_ref=politics
The USA is not doing well and many in the USA realize it. That being said, do not look for Americans to do much about it–yet. Although a time for massive civil unrest is expected, there are some other events that likely will precede it that have not happened yet.
The reality that it is worse than many realize. Because of the moral decline of the USA and its political leaders, demonstrated by such matters as promoting the homosexual agenda in schools and homosexual marriage in USA states, the USA is heading towards destruction (cf. Romans 1:18-32).
Because of this, the leaders of the USA will make wrong decisions that they otherwise would not have. Notice certain warnings from the Bible:
43 The alien who is among you shall rise higher and higher above you, and you shall come down lower and lower (Deuteronomy 28:43).
12 As for My people, children are their oppressors, And women rule over them. O My people! Those who lead you cause you to err, And destroy the way of your paths.” (Isaiah 3:12)
10 ‘The bricks have fallen down, But we will rebuild with hewn stones; The sycamores are cut down, But we will replace them with cedars.” (Isaiah 9:10)
16 For the leaders of this people cause them to err, And those who are led by them are destroyed (Isaiah 9:16).
Russia Sanctions Accelerate Risk to Dollar Dominance

U.S. and European Union sanctions against Russia threaten to hasten a move away from the dollar that’s been stirring since the global financial crisis.
One place the shift has become evident is Hong Kong, where dollar selling has led the central bank to buy more than $9.5 billion since July 1 to prevent its currency from rallying as the sanctions stoked speculation of an influx of Russian cash. OAO MegaFon, Russia’s second-largest wireless operator, shifted some cash holdings into the city’s dollar. Financial newsletter writer Jim Willie says no matter who shot down the Malaysian commercial jet over Ukraine recently, there is going to be massive fallout. Willie contends, “Here’s the big, big consequence. The U.S. is basically telling Europe you have two choices here. Join us with the war against Russia. Join us with the sanctions against Russia. Join us in constant war and conflicts, isolation and destruction to your economy and denial of your energy supply and removal of contracts. Join us with this war and sanctions because we’d really like you to keep the dollar regime going. They are going to say were tired of the dollar. . . . We are pushing Germany. Don’t worry about France, don’t worry about England, worry about Germany. Germany has 3,000 companies doing active business right now. They are not going to join the sanctions—period.”
Willie goes on to say, “It’s a war game and Europe is sick of U.S. war games. The defense of the dollar has come to war versus trade. Are you with us or are you against us?” As far as the NSA spying on Germany, Willie says, “I think they are looking for details on assisting Russia on dumping the dollar. I think they are looking for details for a secret movement for Germany to get away from the dollar and join the BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa.) This is exactly what I think they are going to do.”
Willie thinks as countries move away from the U.S. dollar, the money printing (quantitative easing, QE) increases, and the economy gets worse. Willie calls this a “feedback loop” that he contends, “You get the feedback loop from the damage of lost income that comes from the higher costs that comes from QE. It’s not stimulus, people. It’s a back door Wall Street bailout that degrades, deteriorates and damages the economy in a feedback vicious system. . . . You are seeing the free-fall and acceleration of the damage; and, so now, you get even more cost damage. QE didn’t happen by accident. Foreigners didn’t want to buy the Treasuries anymore. They don’t want to buy a bond where the same central bank is printing money to buy the bond! QE raises the cost structure and brings about shrinkage and disappearance of profits. QE is not stimulus. It’s capital destruction. ”
While I am not necessarily agreeing with everything in that, it is interesting that some outside the Church of God see Germany’s potential threat. It is true that Quantitative Easing is bad and that the BRICS and the Europeans have taken steps to try to eliminate the dominance of the USA dollar. The time truly will come when foreign creditors have had enough (though we are NOT there yet) and this will lead to the takeover of the USA according to biblical prophecy (Habakkuk 2:3-8).
The lack of popularity of elected officials in Washington, D.C. does NOT mean that Americans will properly repent and the destruction will not come. It basically means more are realizing that the USA has problems, but not that they know what needs to be done.
Which is? Repentance. And since that is not likely to happen on a national scale, though you can do that personally, the ultimate solution will be the Kingdom of God.

The USA is going in a much worse direction than the polls even indicate.
