Vatican opposes Israel annexation plans, plus pushes for world ‘common good’ for ‘post-COVID-19 world’

Unsurprisingly, the Vatican has come out on the side of the Palestinians, Arabs, Iranians, and Europeans on Israel’s annexation plans:

ROME: The Vatican expressed concern over Israel’s plan to annex large parts of the occupied West Bank, saying respect for international law and UN resolutions is an “indispensable element for the two peoples (Israelis and Palestinians) to live side by side.”
The Vatican added that it “is following the situation closely, and expresses concern about any future actions that could further compromise dialogue.” …
Afif Safieh, the first Palestinian ambassador to the Vatican, from 1995 to 2005, told Arab News that its statement “reveals great irritation and exasperation toward Israel’s total disregard of international law.”
He said the Vatican has always taken an interest in the Palestinian question because “Palestine is the geographic location of the birth of Jesus, and of the Christian message and its propagation. Then there are Palestinian Christian communities. While the Vatican has long tended towards support of the Palestinians, since Israel would not give it control of the Cenacle back in 2014 (some details are in the article Church of God on Jerusalem’s Western Hill), the Vatican has taken more public stances opposing Israeli positions.
The Vatican may well be involved in the prophesied temporary ‘peace deal’ expected for the region (cf. Daniel 9:27; The ‘Peace Deal’ of Daniel 9:27).
The Vatican has also NOT been a fan of US President Donald Trump’s “Vision for Peace” (which he has referred to as “The deal of the century”).

Vatican urges health as a ‘primary common good’ at World Health Assembly
GENEVA – COVID-19 has shown the interdependence between nations and the need to consider health as a “primary common good” that needs solidarity and globally coordinated action the Vatican’s representative at the UN in Geneva has said at a highly-charged World Health Assembly.
The words were those of Archbishop Ivan Jurkovič, the Holy See’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations in Geneva, when he addressed the May 18-19 World Health Assembly about the novel coronavirus pandemic.
He said the most unusual circumstances were a striking reminder of what Pope Francis had described as “the night of a world already faced with epochal challenges and now oppressed by a pandemic severely testing our whole human family.”
During the annual gathering around world health, his speech sounded like the good thoughts of any responsible church leader at such a conference.
Despite the physical absence of many of the delegates staying at home due to the novel coronavirus, President Donald Trump’s twitter politics, however, acted to dominate media coverage of proceedings of what amounts to the World Health Organization’s annual meeting. …
Jurkovič … praised the WHO in “the common effort to ensure that religious gatherings are held with all the necessary sanitary measures.”

For Pope Francis, the lockdown period has offered an opportunity for the church to prepare for the post-COVID-19 world. The pope was quick to establish a commission reporting directly to him under the auspices of the Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development.
Five working groups have been established: The first is working with the church’s global network on the ground to respond to the crisis and ascertain where assistance is needed. The second is looking to “connect the best minds in the areas of ecology, economy, health and public security” to work out what the post-COVID-19 world will look like. The Vatican is one of many international entities that continues to push for world oversight over many matters.
This includes the environment, economic matters, and social policies.
The Vatican is pushing for a one-world government. It wants Europe to lead lead it and is also pushing an ecumenical and interfaith agenda to accomplish this.
The statements related to the World Health Organization and the Israeli annexation plan are consistent with its long-term objectives.
Objectives that the Bible shows will be temporarily successful (cf. Revelation 13:1-10), but will ultimately result in the destruction of Europe and the city of seven hills (cf. Revelation 17:14-18).

Jerusalem, Donald Trump, and Prophecy On December 6, 2017, US President Donald Trump fulfilled a campaign promise related to the recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital. This brought anger, protests, and rockets from some Palestinians. It also brought condemnation from European allies–it has been claimed to be disruptive and even catastrophic. The Palestinian President (Mahmoud Abbas) said that this pronouncement eliminated the USA as being a fair mediator for a peace deal. Others have claimed that Donald Trump is an end time Cyrus and his pronouncement will lead to a Third Temple in Jerusalem. Is there ever going to be a peace deal? If so, will Europeans be part of it?
