Rep. Mike Johnson (R-La.) says Democrats used the impeachment of former President Donald Trump as a tool to paint all of his supporters with the brush of Capitol breach-related criminality.

Johnson told Breitbart News in an interview on Feb. 14 that the ultimate aim of impeaching Trump a second time was to associate the 75 million Americans who voted for him with those individuals who on Jan. 6 broke the law.

“They really wanted to use impeachment as a vehicle because they wanted to equate all those tens of millions of Trump’s voters and all of his supporters and everybody who came to the rally, they wanted to equate all of those people with the couple hundred criminals who came in and ransacked the Capitol,” Johnson told the outlet. …

“In short, this unprecedented effort is not about Democrats opposing political violence. It is about Democrats trying to disqualify their political opposition. “Religious extremists”? “Libertarians”? The demonization of ordinary Americans …

Yes, the USA is getting closer to criminalizing biblical beliefs and speech (and, to a degree has already done so–as has Canada and certain other lands).

As far as the goal of impeachment, one was to attempt to reduce Donald Trump’s ability to run for president of the USA again.

Now, since I am not a Trump supporter, nor a Republican, nor a Democrat, why report about any of this?

It has to do, in part, with David Kupelian’s comment “the progressive ruling class is zeroing in on what was arguably the real enemy all along. … they comprise, more broadly and fundamentally, a gargantuan swath of normal, traditional-values, … Bible-believing Americans.”

The concern is that the media and those that control the executive and legislative branches of the USA are, to a major degree, against biblical morality.

Bill Maher dove headfirst into ripping Trump supporters who are evangelical Christians on the latest episode of HBO’s “Real Time.”

During his weekly “New Rules” segment, Maher eviscerated Christians and the Book of Revelations, which he argued was just as unhinged as the conspiracy theories spread by QAnon. …

“It’s fun to laugh at QAnon with the baby-eating lizard people and the pedophile pizza parlors, but have you ever read the Book of Revelations? While I never supported QAnon, the fact that Bill Maher is promoting animosity towards those who believe the Book of Revelation should be a concern to all that say they do.  There is less and less tolerance of religious views in the USA and many other places.

Those who claim to believe the Bible, and in particular the Book of Revelation, are subject to be considered ‘extremists’ and at least potential ‘domestic terrorists.’

This is NOT a new idea as it has been part of academia for over a decade.

It is now, however, coming more and more into the mainstream.

As I have reported before, over a decade ago, I saw an academic on the Discovery or History channel state that everyone that believes in a coming millennial kingdom of God on the earth should be considered as a potential terrorist.

Nowadays, simply standing for biblical marriage and accepting the biological facts about males and females is considered to be “extremist” or “hate speech.”

Hollywood has pretty much blacklisted those who dare support various biblical positions.

Big Tech has taken major steps to squelch those who do not toe the line. Notice the following example:

Actor Kevin Sorbo, most famous for his role as Hercules in the long-running TV series, has had his account removed from Facebook. Saw Kevin Sorbo on FoxNews a few days ago. I do not recall what he said, but it did not sound like anything that violated Facebook’s written “community standards.” But, notice the following from years ago:

In 2014, Sorbo co-starred in God’s Not Dead, a Christian film in which he portrayed an atheist college professor who requires his students to disown their religions on the first day of his class. (Kevin Sorbo, Wikipedia, accessed 02/16/21)

Essentially, Kevin Sorbo was in a Protestant film years ago pointing out the hypocrisy and anti-biblical views of academia. That certainly would not have endeared him with Big Tech.

And with the government of the USA claiming the need to bear down on potential domestic terrorists, we are seeing less and less freedom of speech and religion in the USA.

What just happened with Kevin Sorbo reminds me of a poem from the last century by Martin Niemöller:

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Socialist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

Yes, more monitoring, more denouncement, more censorship, and banning online will happen.

And yes, it will affect you if you live into the time of the Great Tribulation (and, at least to a degree, even if you do not).

If this can happen in the USA–a land that supposedly has freedom of speech enshrined for centuries in its Constitution, what about elsewhere?
