International Man: Big Tech’s censorship of alternative voices has been on the rise in the US, Canada, and other places.

What do you think the role of Big Tech companies will be?

Doug Casey: Trends in motion tend to stay in motion until they reach a climax, a crisis, at which point anything can happen.

Big Tech, as it currently is dominated by the USA will not continue. But censorship (cf. Amos 8:11-12; see also Preparing for the ‘Short Work’ and The Famine of the Word) and other forms of totalitarianism using technology will (cf. Revelation 13:16-18, 666; see also Mark of the Beast).

Here is something that Bible foretells related to censorship:

11 “Behold, the days are coming,” says the Lord God,
“That I will send a famine on the land,
Not a famine of bread,
Nor a thirst for water,
But of hearing the words of the Lord.
12 They shall wander from sea to sea,
And from north to east;
They shall run to and fro, seeking the word of the Lord,
But shall not find it. (Amos 8:11-12, NKJV throughout)

The ‘famine of the word’ will involve technological censorship. If technological blocking was not involved, one would be able to find it without having to travel to look for it.

International Man: What geopolitical trends do you see on the horizon?

Doug Casey: The powers that be—the UN, the World Economic Forum, the European Union, and dozens of others like them—are all trying to consolidate countries, merge them into something that looks like a world government. That seems to be what the elite want, but I don’t think they’re going to get it. A bigger trend—I’ve been saying this for years—is that the countries around the world are actually going to break up. It’s going to happen everywhere, including the US, which could divide into a half dozen or more regional entities.

Canada is increasingly dysfunctional and should devolve into at least three or four countries.

Doug Casey is correct that “the UN, the World Economic Forum, the European Union, and dozens of others like them—are all trying to consolidate countries, merge them into something that looks like a world government.”

The Bible shows it will only take a small number to put the coming Beast in place (Daniel 11:23)–and part of the reason seems to be that what he will promise will be similar to things that many globalist groups will have been promoting.

Because he does not rely on the Bible for his predictions, Doug Casey does not understand that something like that WILL happen.

As far as countries breaking up, this is somewhat going to happen. The USA is getting more and more divided internally, and Canada has its own problems.

The Bible shows that those lands will be divided completely when they are conquered by a power called the European King of the North (the “he” below):

39 Thus he shall act against the strongest fortresses with a foreign god, which he shall acknowledge, and advance its glory; and he shall cause them to rule over many, and divide the land for gain (Daniel 11:39, NKJV except as otherwise specified).

The USA is the power with the strongest fortresses in this end time, and the above is a prophecy showing that the USA will be taken over and its lands will be divided (so will Canada). International Man: What do you think the future of individual freedom will be?

Doug Casey: Individual freedom has been on a downward trend in the West for well over a hundred years.

He is correct.

Totalitarianism will happen as it is prophesied in the Bible. Here is one such chapter of scripture that prophesies aspects of the coming totalitarianism and loss of individual freedom:

1 Then I stood on the sand of the sea. And I saw a beast rising up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten crowns, and on his heads a blasphemous name. 2 Now the beast which I saw was like a leopard, his feet were like the feet of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion. The dragon gave him his power, his throne, and great authority. (Revelation 13:1-2)

Now the above sea associated with a Beast with those features is called the Great Sea in Daniel 7:2-7.

Other scriptures identify this with the sea now called the Mediterranean Sea (Numbers 34:6-7; Joshua 1:4; 9:1; 23:4; Ezekiel 47:13-16).

The ancient Roman Empire controlled the Mediterranean Sea.

Europe currently controls the northern border of the Mediterranean Sea and after conquest mentioned in Daniel 11:40-43, this coming European Beast power will also control the southern and eastern borders like the old Roman Empire did.

Revelation 13 continues with:

3 And I saw one of his heads as if it had been mortally wounded, and his deadly wound was healed. And all the world marveled and followed the beast. 4 So they worshiped the dragon who gave authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?” (Revelation 13:3-4)

We see one reason that people will worship the Beast is that he will be militarily successful. The conquest will include the USA (cf. Daniel 11:39).

But this leader opposes God and His people:

5 And he was given a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies, and he was given authority to continue for forty-two months. 6 Then he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme His name, His tabernacle, and those who dwell in heaven. 7 It was granted to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them. And authority was given him over every tribe, tongue, and nation. 8 All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

9 If anyone has an ear, let him hear. 10 He who leads into captivity shall go into captivity; he who kills with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints. (Revelation 13:5-9)

Now, this Beast will have an accomplice who will assist in the totalitarian government that will be in place:

11 Then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth, and he had two horns like a lamb and spoke like a dragon. 12 And he exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence, and causes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. (Revelation 13:11-12)

One way he will get others to worship the Beast is to do something that Doug Casey did not allude to: this beast will perform signs:

13 He performs great signs, so that he even makes fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men. 14 And he deceives those who dwell on the earth by those signs which he was granted to do in the sight of the beast, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who was wounded by the sword and lived. 15 He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed. (Revelation 13:13-15)

So demonic signs (Revelation 16:14) and murderous totalitarian persecution will be used.

But, also totalitarian economic pressure will be used:

16 He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, 17 and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

18 Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666. (Revelation 13:16-18)

What is coming is totalitarian and will also be persecuting (see also Persecutions by Church and State).

Doug Casey: … Personal freedom has been diminishing for the last hundred years. The big question is: When, if ever, is that trend going to change?

Once again, I go back to this idea of a big crisis coming. Horrible people like Klaus Schwab of the WEF are quite anxious to see it and trying to immanentize the eschaton, as it were. They’re right about the arrival of a Great Reset, but I hope they’re wrong about the form it will take. I think it will be set off by the Greater Depression.

Yes, a big crisis is coming.

At the end of the Doug Casey interview, at his webpage, he promoted a video titled “UNPRECEDENTED CHAOS IS COMING”–and he is right about that.

The Great Tribulation very well begin in 2026 or 2027 or 2028 (for biblical reasons why, watch Great Tribulation: 2026 or 2027?).  If that is the case, the USA, for example, looks to be gone by the end of 2028 –if not sooner (see Might the U.S.A. Be Gone by the End of 2028?).

Will the trend change?

Is there any good news?

Yes.

Jesus promised to protect the truly faithful Philadelphian Christians :

7 “And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write,

‘These things says He who is holy, He who is true, “He who has the key of David, He who opens and no one shuts, and shuts and no one opens”: 8 “I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name. 9 Indeed I will make those of the synagogue of Satan, who say they are Jews and are not, but lie — indeed I will make them come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you. 10 Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth. 11 Behold, I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown. (Revelation 3:7-11; see also There is a Place of Safety for the Philadelphians. Why it May Be Near Petra).

As far as fleeing goes, Jesus said:

20 And pray that your flight may not be in winter or on the Sabbath. (Matthew 24:20)

The trend for the rest of the world will be horrendous:

21 For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. 22 And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened. (Matthew 24:21-22)

Furthermore, AFTER the tribulation, there is a positive “trend.”

Why?

Because the Bible shows that Jesus will return:

29 “Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 30 Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. (Matthew 24:29-31):

His return will establish the millennial Kingdom of God:

15 Then the seventh angel sounded: And there were loud voices in heaven, saying, “The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!” (Revelation 11:15)

So, while many bad things will happen, there still is good news–good news YOU can count on if you will truly heed the word of God.

Hopefully, all, including Doug Casey, will realize this soon.

Doug Casey’s Shocking Predictions and Unprecedented Chaos

American financial writer Doug Casey was interviewed and this was posted online in late July 2021. The interview was titled “Doug Casey’s Next 5 Shocking Predictions…” Doug Casey made predictions about Big Tech, Europe, the USA, Canada, globalism, loss of freedom (totalitarianism) economic depression. He also had a video titled, “UNPRECEDENTED CHAOS IS COMING”–was he right about that? What about his other predictions? What does Bible prophecy show? Did Jesus promise any Christians a way to be protected “from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth” (Revelation 3:10)? Dr. Thiel goes over various predictions from Doug Casey and explains areas he is right as well as wrong based upon biblical prophecies, such as Revelation 13 about the 666 Beast of the Sea and the Beast of the Earth–as well as the Beast/King of the North that Daniel wrote about. Dr. Thiel also explains that there is good news coming as Jesus will return after the tribulation (Matthew 24:29-31) and establish His kingdom (Revelation 11:15).
