The 2019 ‘Super wolf blood moon eclipse’ is NOT a biblical sign

Blood moon

COGwriter

A “super blood wolf moon eclipse” is expected soon, with other blood moons coming in February and March. World Net Daily (WND) put out the following about it:

In 2014 and 2015, the world witnessed four consecutive total eclipses of the moon, known as a tetrad.

Pastor Mark Biltz, the man who discovered that such events historically have been accompanied by significant developments for the nation of Israel, is keeping an eye on the next lunar eclipse, Jan. 30.

It’s called a “super blood wolf moon eclipse” because it will be a total lunar eclipse for parts of North America at a time when the full moon is at the closet point of its orbit to the Earth.

It’s also the first of its type in 2019. It will occur at about 12:12 a.m. until 12:44 a.m.

“The Super Blood Moon this year is also known as a wolf moon being the first full moon of the year. There are some incredible patterns that are happening that seem beyond coincidence,” Biltz told WND.

Biltz bases his celestial observations on Genesis 1:14, which says the heavenly bodies serve “as signs to mark sacred times.” He explains his findings in his book “Blood Moons,” which draws from earlier works, “God’s Day Timer” and “The Feasts of the Lord.”

He noted that the 2014 and 2015 blood moons fell on Jewish holidays.

The eclipse this month, he said, “just so happens” to be on the date of President Trump’s inauguration two years ago.

“Trump was born on the night of June 14, 1946, within 15 minutes of a total lunar eclipse and 700 days before the state of Israel was established. When he was sworn in as president on January 20, 2017, he was 70-years-old, seven months and seven days. Also, very significantly, the Super Blood Moon also falls on the Jewish holiday of Tu B’Shevat. Even more significant is the fact that there was another Blood Moon on Tu B’Shevat last year! Last year the blood moon was seen over the Middle East and this year will be seen over the U.S.”

Biltz said that from a biblical standpoint, having two blood moons on the same biblical holiday two years in a row is very significant.

“The Bible says that everything is to be established by two or three witnesses,” he said. “As a matter of fact the Bible says in Psalms 89 that God’s covenant with Israel and King David is forever and the sun and the moon are to be His faithful witnesses in heaven confirming that.”

It is the first of three super moons in 2019. The others are on Feb. 19 and March 21. https://www.wnd.com/2019/01/2019-blood-moon-hitting-on-same-day-as-2018/#ILKGLSc3xV8iHPUh.99

More nonsense.

Years ago, I denounced the view that the ‘blood moons’ of 2014 and 2015 could mean that Jesus would return or that the ‘Day of the Lord’ was about to start. This was something that Mark Biltz (who practices Messianic Judaism) started promoting back in 2008–but he was wrong. I also denounced the super blood moon prophetic nonsense in 2018 and also in 2019 denounced the super blood moon prophetic nonsense for 2019. Being near US President Donald Trump’s two-year inaugural anniversary does not make a naturally-occurring eclipse a biblical message from God like some have indicated.

Here is something it posted related to Mark Biltz from last year for the 2018 and 2019 super blood moons:

January 21, 2018

Blood moons and eclipses have come and gone. But the signs of the times are getting more ominous than ever.

As if the total solar eclipse last August and the “blood moons” of 2014 and 2015 weren’t enough, there will be a “super blue blood moon eclipse” on Jan. 31 – something that hasn’t happened for 150 years.

And this rare event could herald war and turbulence on earth, according to a leading researcher of astronomical signs and how they interact with Scripture.

Rather than just looking skyward, Pastor Mark Biltz of El Shaddai Ministries, the man who discovered the “Blood Moons” phenomenon, says people need to be looking to their Bibles.

“Many people seem to be overlooking the real importance of this event,” Biltz told WND. “The ‘super moon’ which takes place on January 31 is what is termed a ‘blue moon,’ because it is the second full moon in one month. It’s also going to be a total lunar eclipse, making it a ‘blood moon’ as well. This is the first time there’s been a total eclipse for a blue moon in 150 years, which makes it remarkable enough.

“But what makes this truly mind blowing is when this will happen biblically! The eclipse will take place on Tu B’Shevat on the biblical calendar, the fifteenth day of the month of Shevat. This is important because this upcoming eclipse is only one of a series. The next one is on July 27, which is Tu B’Av or the fifteenth of Av on the biblical calendar. The next one is January 21, 2019 – which just so happens to be Tu B’Shevat again!”

Biltz, author of “God’s Day Timer,” stresses he is not saying anything will happen on Jan. 31, the date of this blood moon. However, he argues the specific dates involved show God is sending an important message.

“These are very significant biblical dates, and now we have two blood red moons bookending each other in 2018 and 2019 on Tu B’Shevat,” he said. “This is fascinating prophetically because there is a section of Scripture in which Zechariah receives a revelation of a red horse being given a great sword to take peace from the Earth. And this takes place in the month of Shevat!”

The relevant section of the Bible, Zechariah 1: 7-8, reads:

Upon the four and twentieth day of the eleventh month, which is the month Sebat, in the second year of Darius, came the word of the Lordunto Zechariah, the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo the prophet, saying,

I saw by night, and behold a man riding upon a red horse, and he stood among the myrtle trees that were in the bottom; and behind him were there red horses, speckled, and white.

“Not surprisingly, Zechariah asks what this is all about, and he receives some incredible insight from an angel who is nearby,” Biltz explained. In verse 12, we are told, “Then the angel of the Lord answered and said, O Lord of hosts, how long wilt thou not have mercy on Jerusalem and on the cities of Judah, against which thou hast had indignation these threescore and ten years?”

Biltz argues this message is of key importance for people alive today.

“Do you see the amazing pattern?” he asked. “The vision of the horses are of the four horses from Revelation. And this vision takes place at the end of a 70-year period (three score and ten) which is given to Israel. Israel is now celebrating its seventieth anniversary.”

He also argues the mention of the “second year of Darius” is also of critical importance, as the second year of President Trump’s administration approaches.

Here is what I wrote and posted related to the above:

Once again, Mark Biltz and WND were promoting blood moon nonsense. God was NOT sending some special message with a recurring natural phenomena.

Mark Biltz and WND promoted falsehoods related to the eclipse of August 21, 2017 (see ‘Blood moon’ Mark Biltz claims massive eclipse a sign of God and Mark Biltz on the approaching Asteroid Apophis and the August 21, 2017 solar eclipse).

As far as prophecies and Donald Trump’s presidency goes, here is a link to our latest video which shows world events have been confirming at least 18 things I wrote about based upon my knowledge of biblical prophecies and geopolitics: Donald Trump’s Prophetic Presidency.

Both Mark Biltz and WND’s founder Joseph Farah consider themselves to be ‘Messianic Jews.’ While this means that they will avoid biblically unclean meats, keep the Sabbath, observe the biblical holy days, and hold to parts of a few Church of God doctrines, the Messianics are NOT Church of God Christians (see also Messianic Judaism Beliefs Differ from the Continuing Church of God). Like the Seventh-day Adventists, they are basically a type of Protestant.

WND promotes him, but Mark Biltz has been wrong. He misled many about the “blood moons” a couple of years ago (see also WND continues to promote Mark Biltz’ blood moon nonsense) and about the 2017 solar eclipse being a sign from God.

The Bible teaches:

2 The LORD says, “Do not start following pagan religious practices. Do not be in awe of signs that occur in the sky even though the nations hold them in awe. 3 For the religion of these people is worthless. They cut down a tree in the forest, and a craftsman makes it into an idol with his tools. 4 He decorates it with overlays of silver and gold. He uses hammer and nails to fasten it together so that it will not fall over. (Jeremiah 10:2-4, NET Bible)

Pastor Paul Begley is trying to tell people to be in awe of something that does not have prophetic significance.

Do not be like the pagans and read things into astronomical phenomena that people like Mark Biltz and Paul Begley have been pushing. How people like them twist scriptures (cf. 2 Peter 3:16) and connect things while overlooking what the Bible teaches reminds me a lot of the late Harold Camping, whose detailed calculations and predictions were later proven wrong (see Harold Camping’s Teachings About the End of the World Do Not Agree with the Bible).

So, before the next ‘super blood moon occurs, I again want to inform people that this eclipse is a natural phenomenon and not anything that is a direct message from God.

Because there are many false and heretical leaders that lead people astray on prophecy and sometimes they mention the Bible to try to act like God sanctions their nonsense, they should be denounced as false.

All should REALLY pay attention to the Bible.

We in the Continuing Church of God “have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts” (2 Peter 1:19, KJV).”

As far as Paul Begley goes, he indicated that January’s blood moon had prophetic significance:

Will the blood moon in January 2019 signal the end of the world?

Pastor Begley points to some key Biblical passages as evidence of the end of the earth being nearly upon us.

Known as the blood moon prophecy, they include one ‘warning’ from the Book of Joel 2:31.

The passage reads: “The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible day of the Lord come.”

Another can be found in the Book of Revelation 6:12.

This one states: “And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and lo, there was a great earthquake, and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood.”

Pastor Begley said: “Is this an omen? Is this a sign of things that will happen in those following two years?

“Well, this is definitely a sign of the end times and America plays a key role in the end times.

Where can you watch January’s blood moon?

January’s blood moon will be visible from the United States, South America, western Europe and Africa between January 20 and 21.

In London, UK, the total eclipse will begin at 4.41am on January 21. 12/03/18 https://www.express.co.uk/news/weird/1053774/blood-moon-eclipse-2019-lunar-eclipse-next-end-of-the-world-bible-prophecy-conspiracy

Nonsense.

The Bible mentions blood and the moon together in the Book of Acts, where the Apostle Peter states the following:

17 ‘And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God,
That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh;
Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
Your young men shall see visions,
Your old men shall dream dreams.
18 And on My menservants and on My maidservants
I will pour out My Spirit in those days;
And they shall prophesy.
19 I will show wonders in heaven above
And signs in the earth beneath:
Blood and fire and vapor of smoke.
20 The sun shall be turned into darkness,
And the moon into blood,
Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord.
21 And it shall come to pass
That whoever calls on the name of the Lord
Shall be saved.’ (Acts 2:17-21)

In the Book of Revelation we read:

12 I looked when He opened the sixth seal, and behold, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became like blood. 13 And the stars of heaven fell to the earth, as a fig tree drops its late figs when it is shaken by a mighty wind. 14 Then the sky receded as a scroll when it is rolled up, and every mountain and island was moved out of its place. (Revelation 6:12-15)

The events involving the moon turning into blood are also tied into with the sun becoming black. While some seem to believe this is a reference to some type of normal eclipse, it would seem to be more than that. Notice that those occur after the sixth seal is opened, which is after the opening of the fifth seal (Revelation 6:9), which is the start of the Great Tribulation, which has not started yet and cannot start until at least 2022 (see also When Will the Great Tribulation Begin?).

The events mentioned above in Acts 2 and Revelation 6 are also similar to those Jesus discussed in Matthew 24. Notice:

29 “Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 30 Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. (Matthew 24:29-31)

Some who believe in a “pre-tribulation rapture” have suggested that the moon turning into blood is a sign that Jesus is to return. And while Jesus will return, notice that the time period is AFTER the tribulation according to what Jesus taught. Notice also:

25 “And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring; 26 men’s hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 27 Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. 28 Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.” (Luke 21:25-28)

Notice that there is also supposed to be roaring seas–this type of roaring sea will not happen in 2019.

Rabbinic Expert: First Super Blood Moon of the Year Sign of Earthquakes, Governments Will Fall

December 30, 2018

“The sun shall turn into darkness And the moon into blood.” Joel 3:4 (The Israel Bible™)

On the evening of January 21, as the holiday of Tu B’shvat begins, a lunar eclipse will pass over the Washington D.C., just as the President will reach the halfway point of his term in office. The eclipse will be a super blood moon, described in Jewish sources as having powerful significance. …

Rabbi Mordechai Genut discussed the lunar eclipse in his book Davar B’ito, a guide to the calendar based on esoteric Jewish sources.

“A lunar eclipse in the month of Shevat is a sign of the rise of the aspect of din (judgment) in the world,” Rabbi Genut told Breaking Israel News. “This eclipse will rule over the Americas but for Israel, it will bring chesed (loving-kindness).”

Rabbi Genut described specifically how this judgment will be expressed.

Judgement Expressed

“There will be a marked increase in earthquakes and volcanoes, even more than we have seen in the past year,” Rabbi Genuth said. “Just as the eclipse is a conflict between the sun and the moon to rule over the heavens, there will be a similar conflict on earth. This will begin a time when governments are in balance. Some governments that seem powerful right now will fall and others will rise in their place.” …

“It’s not that the bad judgment symbolized by the lunar eclipse just disappears,” Rabbi Berger told Breaking Israel News. “It is merely averted to our enemies. In this case, the wars and evil will fall on our enemies. By choosing to be our enemies, the Arab nations have brought the evil that might have befallen Israel upon themselves.”

“This is especially true when the lunar eclipse falls on Tu B’Shvat, a day when only good can happen to Israel.” https://www.breakingisraelnews.com/119523/rabbinic-expert-first-super-blood-moon-of-the-year-sign-of-earthquakes-governments-will-fall/

No, this January 21, 2019 blood moon is NOT related to the prophecies in Joel 2. Nor is there any calendar date “when only good can happen to Israel.”

Years ago, I denounced the view that the ‘blood moons’ of 2014 and 2015 could mean that Jesus would return or that the ‘Day of the Lord’ was about to start. This was something that the Protestant John Hagee as well as Mark Biltz started promoting back in 2008–but they were wrong. Paul Begley was wrong about one of more blood moons for 2018 and will be wrong again related to 2019.

I have repeatedly warned against false ‘blood moon’ interpretations, as the following articles over the past five years help demonstrate:

‘Blood Moon prophecy 2019: Is the Super Blood Moon a portent of DOOM?’

Sunday, January 13, 2019

Repeatedly, those who pointed to prophetic significance of the blood moons which have happened over the past several years were wrong.

What is a blood moon? Here is one explanation:

A lunar eclipse occurs when the moon passes in the shadow of Earth. This is an area known as the umbra, where light from the Sun is blocked by our planet.

When the light refracts differently in the atmosphere and hits the moon, it makes it appear red. During a total eclipse, the entire moon is in shadow and it appears ‘blood red’. 07/11/18 https://www.mirror.co.uk/science/what-blood-moon-heres-moon-12801318

So, a blood moon is basically a reddish appearing shadow on the moon.

So, before the longest blood moon of the century occurs, I again want to inform people that this eclipse is a natural phenomenon.

Some are the following, which are all expected in 2019:

A ‘super blood wolf moon’ and five eclipses are among 2019’s major astronomy events

Although we would love to talk about all of the extraordinary occurrences, these are our top events to watch for in the sky in 2019:

January 6: Partial Solar Eclipse …

January 21: Super Blood Wolf Moon Eclipse …

May 6: Eta Aquarids Meteor Shower …

July 2: Total Solar Eclipse …

July 16: Partial Lunar Eclipse …

November 11: Rare Transit of Mercury …

December 26: Annular Solar Eclipse

2019 closes on a high note with a rare and glorious “ring of fire.”

The annular eclipse occurs when the circumference of the sun shines brightly from behind the moon. This year, the eclipse will begin right at dawn and pass over the Arabian Peninsula and arc over areas of South Asia.

We hope you enjoy these amazing events to the fullest, but remember, NEVER look at the sun during any type of solar eclipse, as it could cause damage to your eyes. https://fox4kc.com/2018/12/29/a-super-blood-wolf-moon-and-five-eclipses-are-among-2019s-major-astronomy-events/

Do not let people who claim to be Christian or cite scripture deceive you on these matters.

REALLY pay attention to what the Bible really teaches.

You can be certain that the three ‘blood moon’ of January, February, and March 2019 are not messages from God related to Jesus’ return, Joel 2, or Daniel 9:27.

As far as 2019 goes, consider the following:
