A new Steven Spielberg movie was released today called Disclosure Day.
Notice a report from Michael Snyder about it:
Steven Spielberg Believes That Disclosure Day Will Greatly Shake The Faith Of Christians All Over The Globe
June 11, 2026
Would undeniable evidence of alien life cause large numbers of people to abandon what they believe about God? Disclosure Day comes out in theaters this weekend, and that appears to be one of the biggest questions that this film is driving at. Much of the global population has always operated under the assumption that the only intelligent life that exists in the universe is on this planet. So how would the world respond to very clear evidence that proves once and for all that we are not alone? …
Spielberg is actually convinced that aliens are here on Earth right now. …
During a CBS News interview, Spielberg reflected on how confirmation of intelligent life beyond Earth could affect religious faith, saying, ‘The movie also takes the position of the church.
‘What does this do to the fundamental beliefs that many of us have? Is God our God only on this planet? Or is God a god for every system where there’s civilization and intelligent life, and even developing life?’
The Oscar-winning filmmaker argued that proof of alien life would force many believers to confront difficult questions about God’s role in a universe that may be filled with other intelligent civilizations. …
Over time, billions of people could end up watching this film.
Just think about that for a moment.
All over the world, people will have their opinions about extraterrestrial life shaped by Spielberg, and that is extremely alarming.
One character in Disclosure Day actually suggests that when the “aliens” finally show up, people will “stop believing in God” and will instead accept the “aliens” as “deities”…
Would the discovery of alien life really be faith-shattering? One character in Disclosure Day (a former novitiate nun played by Bono’s daughter Eve Hewson) argues, “People will see [aliens] as deities. They’ll stop believing in God.” https://endoftheamericandream.com/steven-spielberg-believes-that-disclosure-day-will-greatly-shake-the-faith-of-christians-all-over-the-globe/
No, this movie will not shake the faith of true Christians. The movie has several false premises, and the Bible warns:
4 … Indeed, let God be true but every man a liar. (Romans 3:4)
This movie should not shaken the faith of any that are not very weak. Consider that the Book of Proverbs teaches:
10 If you faint in the day of adversity,
Your strength is small. (Proverbs 24:10)
The Disclosure Day doesn’t really rise, in my opinion, to be serious adversity. It is a fictional movie.
I have read some items about the movie and even watched a couple of official trailers of the movie. The type of ‘knowledge’ that Disclosure Day is based on is simply not true. There were ‘knowledge’ problems in New Testament times as well as the Apostle Paul warned the prophetic evangelist Timothy:
20 O Timothy! Guard what was committed to your trust, avoiding the profane and idle babblings and contradictions of what is falsely called knowledge — 21 by professing it some have strayed concerning the faith. (1 Timothy 6:20-21)
Even Scientific American says the movie’s basic premise is false:
What Disclosure Day gets wrong about the search for aliens
The new movie Disclosure Day is all about a big, alien secret. But SETI researchers behind the updated post-detection protocol say they aren’t in the business of secrets.
June 12, 2026
After months of anticipation, Steven Spielberg’s new sci-fi flick Disclosure Day is now in theaters. Its fictional premise concerns a group of people planning to leak the long-suppressed news that aliens are real and visiting our planet.
Disclosure Day is far from Spielberg’s first encounter with the decades-old trope that the search for extraterrestrial intelligence (SETI) has already found aliens right here on Earth—and that a vast government conspiracy is preventing anyone else from finding out. But researchers at the SETI Institute in Mountain View, Calif., say this trope couldn’t be further from the truth: if scientists ever do find evidence of talkative aliens, transparency is actually in the official postdetection protocols. …
“There’s no effort to keep it secret. If we [get] a signal, it’s going to be out there. The next step is transparency,” says Carol Oliver, a professor of science communication and astrobiology at the University of New South Wales in Australia and one of the architects behind the latest version of the SETI Post-Detection Protocols, set to be codified later this year. …
“Scientists are more available than they’ve ever been before via social media,” says Michael Garrett, an astronomer at the University of Manchester in England and a co-author of the 2026 protocols.
“If someone had detected the signal, the problem would not be that we’d be able to keep it to ourselves,” Garrett says. “The problem would be that it’d leak out long before it was verified.” …
“There are a lot of things up there. We have drones all over the place now, and they’re not all civilian drones; they’re for surveillance and all sorts of other purposes,” Garrett says. “If you look, you will find those things. But I don’t believe it’s alien intelligence.”
Our modern era’s obsession with UFOs, Oliver says, is best understood as a failure of public scientific literacy. …
“Spielberg is working on feelings he’s had since [he was] a child,” Oliver says. “So that’s not scientific.” https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/steven-spielbergs-disclosure-day-gets-one-major-thing-wrong-about-the-search-for-aliens/
So, the basic premises of Disclosure Day are considered to be implausible and basically unscientific.
Yet, the New Testament warns:
1 But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, (2 Timothy 3:1-2)
13 … evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived. 14 But you must continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them, 15 and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. (2 Timothy 3:13-15)
Yes, I am saying that people like Steven Spielberg are deceived and deceiving others.
Yet, note that Christians are to continue to believe what is in the Holy Scriptures.
And let me add that they are scientific and do help those willing to accept the truth that God absolutely exists.
Details of such proof are in our free eBook: Is God’s Existence Logical?
God exists and Jesus will return to establish the millennial kingdom. So, as the Book of Hebrews teaches:
28 Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear. (Hebrews 12:28)
The Disclosure Day movie will not shake the faith of true believers either.
That said, getting back to Michael Snyder, he also wrote the following:
For decades, movies, television shows, books and video games have been priming us to believe that someday the “aliens” will finally make their grand appearance.
And when that happens, much of the global population will accept whatever they have to say hook, line and sinker.
But true Christians will not have their faith shaken by Disclosure Day, nor will they have their faith shaken even if “aliens” suddenly show up in large numbers in the skies above this planet.
From the very beginning to the very end, the Bible openly acknowledges that we are not alone in the universe.
In fact, the Bible has a great deal to say about angels, fallen angels, demons and a whole host of other non-human entities.
And the final book of the Bible is far wilder than any science fiction movie that Hollywood has ever put out.
Yes, very strange creatures will someday invade our planet. You can read all about it in Revelation chapter 9. …
Steven Spielberg seems to think that the fact that we are not alone is some sort of grand discovery.
But the reality of the matter is that the Bible has been telling us this for thousands of years.
We were never alone.
So don’t buy into the Hollywood propaganda. https://endoftheamericandream.com/steven-spielberg-believes-that-disclosure-day-will-greatly-shake-the-faith-of-christians-all-over-the-globe/
Michael Snyder is basically correct about that. The 9th and 19th chapters of the Revelation Book of Revelation describe what some may consider aliens from outer space coming to the earth.
And Revelation 19 shows that when Jesus comes down that the nations of the world will fight against Him:
11 Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. 12 His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. He had a name written that no one knew except Himself. 13 He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God. 14 And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses. (Revelation 19:11-14)
19 And I saw the beast, the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against Him who sat on the horse and against His army. 20 Then the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who worked signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image. These two were cast alive into the lake of fire burning with brimstone. 21 And the rest were killed with the sword which proceeded from the mouth of Him who sat on the horse. And all the birds were filled with their flesh. (Revelation 19:19-21)
Why will nations fight against Jesus? Because they have been deceived about true Christianity and the real Jesus. And likely because He and the angels come down out of heaven some will probably think He and His angels are some type of invading aliens.
That said, we even made a video related to aliens and demons last Fall: Is it an Alien or is it a Demon?
Yet, since that came out, the Roman Catholic Church relieved a senior priest earlier this month for commenting that a lot of UFO/alien encounters are demonic.
June 4, 2026
A Catholic priest has been removed from his role as an exorcist after making remarks linking UFOs to demons.
Monsignor Stephen Rossetti, a well-known exorcist in Washington, D.C., was relieved of his duties by Cardinal Robert McElroy, the Archbishop of Washington, D.C., after saying in a May 29 video that “many, if not most,” UFO sightings could be explained as demonic activity.
McElroy took action on June 3 and said the comments “gravely undermined” official Catholic teaching on demons and exorcism, prompting the archdiocese to also cut ties with the center that is headed by Rossetti.
Rossetti later said he was saddened by the decision and apologized, pledging to remain obedient to Church doctrine.
Rossetti, who has over 148,000 followers on Instagram, is a prominent psychologist as well as an exorcist. …
In a May 29 video, that was posted on Facebook, Rossetti talked about UFO sightings as well as the potential existence of alien life.
“There’s a danger here,” he said. ” …
“It’s my personal belief that probably many if not most of these UFO sightings are in fact demons,” he added.
In a statement posted on the St. Michael Center website, Rossetti said: “I ask forgiveness for any ways that I have not been faithful to the teachings of the Church’s Magisterium, particularly in the cited video on ‘aliens and the demonic.’ https://www.yahoo.com/news/world/articles/stephen-rossetti-priest-removed-exorcist-091019989.html
In a statement after the news broke, Rossetti said he was “saddened” by the archdioceseʼs decision.
“I ask forgiveness for any ways that I have not been faithful to the teachings of the Church’s magisterium, particularly in the cited video on ‘aliens and the demonic,’” he said.
“I believe it is of the utmost importance to be obedient to the Church and I will continue to endeavor to subject all that I do and the center to be thus obedient,” he continued, adding: “Also, I will continue to encourage all to do so as well.”
“I am grateful for 19 years of ministering in the Archdiocese of Washington as its exorcist and I thank the archdiocese for its support and blessing all these years,” the statement continued. “We will remember the cardinal and all in [the archdiocese] in our prayers for its important ministry.”
The St. Michael Center “plans to continue its ministry elsewhere,” Rossetti said.
As of June 3, the video that apparently resulted in Rossettiʼs dismissal had been marked private on YouTube. 06/03/26 https://www.ewtnnews.com/world/us/archdiocese-of-washington-removes-prominent-exorcist-over-remarks-linking-ufos-to-demonic
It is sad that the Stephen Rossetti felt he had to publicly apologize for stating an opinion that appears to be true.
The Bible clearly teaches that angels and demons have been to the earth.
Now you could certainly make an argument that they could be considered as “extraterrestrials” or “aliens from outer space” or at least another “dimension.” That dimension being the spirit realm which includes demons.
Here is something from the old Worldwide Church of God related to UFOs and also potential demonic connections:
ENCOUNTERS OF THE WEIRD KIND: THE ELUSIVE UFO
Are we earthlings being visited by extra-terrestrial beings in mysterious UFOs? Millions of Americans apparently believe so. In fact, according to a Gallup poll, the majority of Americans believe that UFOs — unidentified flying objects — are real and “not the figment of people’s imagination.” Moreover, some 15 million Americans claim to have actually seen a UFO.
In a recent survey of members of the American Astronomical Society, an impressive 53 percent said UFOs “certainly” or “probably” should be investigated further and another 27 percent said “possibly” there should be further investigations.
Few subjects generate more fascination than the hotly debated contention that UFOs represent some form of alien intelligence.
Actually, strange and mysterious objects have been seen in the skies for thousands of years. Even the prophet Ezekiel reported seeing an awesome “wheel within a wheel” that has served as an oft quoted precedent for unusual sightings in the heavens.
“The appearance of the wheels and their work was… as it were a wheel in the middle of a wheel. When they went, they went upon their four sides: and they turned not when they went. As for their rings, they were so high that they were dreadful; and their rings were full of eyes round about them four. And when the living creatures went, the wheels went by them : and when the living creatures were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up” (Ezek. 1:16-19).
Ezekiel’s description has often been interpreted as a vision of a “portable throne” of God, complete with representatives of the angelic host.
Whiff of Paranoia
Yet the modern UFO era did not really dawn until just after World War II when Kenneth Arnold, an Idaho businessman and pilot, described a formation of disklike objects skimming through the sky “like a saucer would if you skipped it across water.” From that early account came the term “flying saucer.”
Since that time, UFObia, UFOria, and UFOlogists have proliferated at an amazing rate. Not even veteran pilots are immune. In fact, at one point baffling and ominous reports of “flying saucers” observed over air bases grew so worrisome that the U.S. Air Force launched a full-scale investigation. …
To many fundamentalists, UFOs are far more likely to be angels or demons than life forms from other planetary systems.
“It would seem to me that if there are any flying saucers or UFOs penetrating earth’s airspace, they must be satanic in origin and must be carrying out the program of Satan for these last days,” concludes Dr. Hart Armstrong, president of the Defenders of the Christian Faith.
Yet, perhaps surprisingly, people who are classified as “religious” in the broad sense are actually the most likely to believe in extraterrestrial life and look forward to contact with such creatures, according to a recent study by research psychologist Dr. Paul J. Lavrakas. (Gongsley R. ENCOUNTERS OF THE WEIRD KIND: THE ELUSIVE UFO. Plain Truth, September 1978)
Widespread occult interest has been both hailed as a breakthrough in knowledge and as a modern retreat into superstition. Some laud the occult as the only real hope in an age of technology and materialism; others lambast the occult as the most evil sign of the end of the age. …
There is one area of reality we have not heretofore discussed at any great length. This has to do with the existence of spirit beings called demons. In Christ’s day there were those who were possessed by demons (Matt. 8:16, etc.), or by evil spirits. Today there exist certain spiritist sects which are involved in a conscious effort to contact “higher beings,” or “aliens,” and who are constantly looking for ever greater signs and wonders. This kind of spiritism is often little more than an open invitation to demon-possession. (Armstrong HW. The Occult Explosion, booklet, 1974).
I have long asserted that:
- Since demons are from elsewhere, they are aliens to the earth in that sense.
- The Bible shows that humans have had encounters with demons.
- Some so-called alien encounters likely involved demons.
- Some claimed UFOs look to be demonic.
UPDATE 06/14/26: We just uploaded the following related video:
Disclosure Day – the movie. Will your faith as a Christian be shaken to its very core by watching this fictional movie? Steven Spielberg, the producer thinks so. What is this movie about anyway? Aliens from outer space. Yes, aliens. The producer of Disclosure Day has faith that your faith in God will come into doubt after you watch this movie. Is that even possible? Or is that laughable since those who wish can prove that God exists? Can you even begin to imagine that a fictional movie about aliens, produced by a human being could even begin to shake your belief in the Creator of the universe? Remember that the Apostle Paul warned “that in the last days perilous times will come … evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived” (2 Timothy 3:1,13). Even ‘Scientific American’ has written that the Disclosure Day movie is “not scientific,” but that Steven “Spielberg is working on feelings he’s had since [he was] a child.” Have beings from another world, another dimension visited planet earth? What about angels and demons? When Jesus returns, will the nations of the world fight against Him and the angels that come down out of heaven with Him? Might some think that Jesus and His angels are invading aliens? Should you expect to see more claims of ‘verified’ ‘paranormal’ activity beyond what is in movies like Disclosure Day?
