A reader sent me a link to the following from Courthouse News:

In a major, first-of-its-kind move, the European Union is setting up a European-wide prosecutor’s office that will have power to investigate and charge people for financial crimes committed against the EU.

The European Public Prosecutor’s Office is expected to come into force next year or early in 2021. Akin to federal prosecutors in the United States, the new agency will consist of a central office in Luxembourg and satellite prosecutors’ offices in individual EU countries.

Since the EU’s birth, the economic and political union has not had an EU-level agency invested with prosecutorial powers. Today, if someone commits fraud against the EU they are taken to court by national prosecutors, but experts say that system has proven ineffective.

“Crimes involving EU funds are not a priority for national authorities, and that’s a problem,” said Carl Dolan, director of Transparency International EU, an anti-corruption Berlin-based watchdog group, in a telephone interview with Courthouse News. “There is a general perception that this is not anybody’s money, it comes from Brussels and therefore it doesn’t really matter what they do with the money.”

The Baltic Times added:

The European Public Prosecutor’s Office consists of the central level located in Luxembourg and a local level in each of the member states. The central office has a European chief prosecutor supported by 20 European prosecutors, one from each of the member countries. The European prosecutors form a college, which is tasked with adopting strategic decisions. The permanent chambers consisting of three European prosecutors coordinate investigations and prosecutions, as well as bring charges and terminate proceedings. The central level will supervise the investigations and prosecutions carried out at the national level. When I first learned of this, after thinking about the ‘666’ prophecy, I immediately thought of the  Spanish Inquisition as this seemed to me to be a step towards having a persecutor (of course, nowadays being called a prosecutor).

Now as far as the ‘666 prophecy goes, the Bible foretells something that will be considered a crime in Europe–the buying or selling without the mark of the Beast! Notice:

15 He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed. 16 He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, 17 and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

18 Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666. (Revelation 13:15-18)

The above prophecy suggests that there will be enforcers of the mark of the beast as well as for the control of buying and selling.

So, with the European Public Prosecutor’s Office set up to investigate and prosecute financial crimes in the EU, as well as to appoint local prosecutors, it appears that this will be part of the foundation for the fulfillment of the 666 related buying and selling enforcement!

The European Public Prosecutor’s Office looks to be the ‘666’ enforcer or some type of a precursor for it.

Now, why a European?

Partially we can identify Europe by what other passages in Revelation and Daniel reveal:

1 Then I stood on the sand of the sea. And I saw a beast rising up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten crowns, and on his heads a blasphemous name. 2 Now the beast which I saw was like a leopard, his feet were like the feet of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion. The dragon gave him his power, his throne, and great authority. 3 And I saw one of his heads as if it had been mortally wounded, and his deadly wound was healed. And all the world marveled and followed the beast. 4 So they worshiped the dragon who gave authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?” (Revelation 13:1-4)

2 Daniel spoke, saying, “I saw in my vision by night, and behold, the four winds of heaven were stirring up the Great Sea. 3 And four great beasts came up from the sea, each different from the other. 4 The first was like a lion, and had eagle’s wings. I watched till its wings were plucked off; and it was lifted up from the earth and made to stand on two feet like a man, and a man’s heart was given to it. 5 “And suddenly another beast, a second, like a bear. It was raised up on one side, and had three ribs in its mouth between its teeth. And they said thus to it: ‘Arise, devour much flesh!’ 6 “After this I looked, and there was another, like a leopard, which had on its back four wings of a bird. The beast also had four heads, and dominion was given to it. 7 “After this I saw in the night visions, and behold, a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, exceedingly strong. It had huge iron teeth; it was devouring, breaking in pieces, and trampling the residue with its feet. It was different from all the beasts that were before it, and it had ten horns. (Daniel 7:2-7)

The final version of the above beast has ten horns (Daniel 7:7) as does the Beast power of Revelation 17:12. This is the Beast of the Sea.

Which sea?

According to the Bible, the “Great Sea” that bordered the ancient lands of Israel (Joshua 9:1; 23:4; Ezekiel 47:13-16) was the Mediterranean Sea–and that is the sea that Daniel was referring to.

What will rise up will be a European empire.

Essentially a resurrected Roman Empire. The ancient Roman Empire controlled the northern, eastern, and southern coasts of the Mediterranean Sea.

666 cannot be referring to Islam as some say because the Bible shows in Daniel 11:40-43 that the King of the North will defeat the forces of lands currently dominated by Islamic nations in the Middle East and North Africa. This will give the European power control of the northern, eastern, and southern coasts of the Mediterranean Sea just like the ancient Romans had.

The first writing that have been found that suggests that a Roman, or Roman empire, is 666 was by Irenaeus, who claimed to have listened to Polycarp when he (Irenaeus) was a young man. Irenaeus wrote:

Then also Lateinos (LATEINOS) has the number six hundred and sixty-six; and it is a very probable [solution], this being the name of the last kingdom [of the four seen by Daniel]. For the Latins are they who at present bear rule: (Irenaeus. Adversus haereses, Book V, Chapter 30, Verse 3. Excerpted from Ante-Nicene Fathers, Volume 1. Edited by Alexander Roberts & James Donaldson. American Edition, 1885).

The New Testament was written in Greek, and John penned the Book of Revelation on the Greek speaking island of Patmos (Revelation 1:9). They still speak Greek there. Anyway, adding up the values of the Greek letters for the word Lateinos brings you to 666:

This is consistent with what the old WCG taught:

In the 2nd century A.D., Irenaeus, disciple of Polycarp, the Apostle John’s disciple, explained that in Greek the word Lateinos — meaning “Latin man” or Roman — adds up to 666. (L = 30; A = 1; T = 300; E = 5; I = 10; N = 50; 0 = 70; S = 200) This, he stated, was the, intent of the scripture.

The number 666 is thus anciently branded on the old Roman Empire and its revivals. (Stump KW. Just What Do You Mean… ANTICHRIST? Plain Truth, September 1981)

Specifically 666 is the number of the first beast in Revelation 13 as distinguished from the Antichrist, who is the second, the two-horned beast, in the same chapter. And as Revelation 13 shows, the two-horned beast works with, and promotes, the seven-headed (and ten-horned) first beast in that chapter.

Please understand that the leader of the ten-horned Beast of Revelation 13:1-10 (see Europa, the Beast, and the Book of Revelation) and the one called 666 in Revelation 13:10 is also the one who is the final King of the North. He is also called the ‘man of sin’ in 2 Thessalonians 2 (see also Who is the Man of Sin of 2 Thessalonians 2?).

With the setting up of the European Public Prosecutor’s Office, we are closer to having a structure for enforcement like that which will be used by 666.

World events continue to align with properly understood biblical prophecies.

Let me add that there looked like something that could assist the European Public Prosecutor’s Office in the French language on an EU website. Here is the original French, followed by a machine translation into the English language:
