Eurasian Economic Union announced satellite integration launch

Vladimir Putin’s Eurasian Economic Union announced a plan to launch an integrative satellite in 2019:

MOSCOW, March 14. /TASS/. Member-states of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) plan to pool together a united orbital grouping of satellites for remote sensing of the Earth, Nikolai Kushanryov, the director of the industrial policy department of the Eurasian Economic Commission told Izvestia daily.

“Already in the first half of next year, the Eurasian Economic Commission plans to draft an intergovernmental agreement and interstate program for integration of the existing orbital and grounds resources was the space systems designed to do remote sensing of the Earth’s crust,” he said.

“A joint use of the satellite grouping is due to begin as early as in 2019,” Kushnaryov said.

In addition to it, participants in the project also plan to set up a joint commercial operator of orbital and geo-informational services. It will supervise commercial operations of the grouping, Kushnaryov said.

Also, operators from all economic sectors might benefit from visiting a unified information portal that would offer the results of monitoring of industrial parks, urban development areas, transport corridors, forestry facilities, and agricultural producers. http://tass.com/science/935302

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The EEC is expected to draft an intergovernmental deal on the project this year with a further goal of launching the system by 2020.

“In the first half of 2018, the Eurasian Economic Commission plans to draft an intergovernmental agreement and an intergovernmental program on integrating the existing orbital and ground space system resources belonging to EAEU members, as well as expanding a joint remote earth sensing satellite constellation. The start of operations of such a joint constellation is planned for 2019,” Kushnaryov told the Izvestia newspaper.

This is an interesting development. Integrating satellites among the members shows cooperation.

This project looks like it will help EAEU/EEU member states benefit from Russian and other EAEU members’ space technology. This should deliver economic and other benefits to the all the EEU.

This may encourage some others to want to join with the EEU.

The more nations that are part of the EEU and the more deals that the EAEU is involved in, the more relevant it becomes in the world. China, India, Vietnam, and Pakistan have all expressed at least trade interest with the EAEU. Russia, China, and others have expressed interest in working together to eliminate the US dollar as the basis of international trade as well as to reduce US influence in many parts of the world. The EEU and deals it has made with China are consistent with this.

As far as official EEU membership goes, the nation of Tajikistan was formally invited to join the union and has expressed its interest in acceding. “Break-away” regions of Moldova (Transnistria), Ukraine (Donetsk and Lugansk) and Georgia (South Ossetia and Abkhazia) have expressed a desire to join the Eurasian Customs Union and integrate into the Eurasian Economic Union. Places like Mongolia and Serbia have also expressed interest. Some think perhaps Uzbekistan will someday as well.

The EAEU has signed agreements with Asian nations like Singapore and Vietnam, and with countries in the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America. Cambodia is also interested in trade with the EAEU.

As far as Europe goes, Vladimir Putin wants more cooperation. And this is partially because the Russians would like USA influence reduced–and Europe will do that more than most Russians probably think is possible (cf. Daniel 11:39; Revelation 13:3-4).

Back in 1962, notice something that the old Radio Church of God published:

Germany, those living in Germany, even the German government, may not yet know that they are going to join in a treaty with the Russians to destroy the United States and bring it to its knees-it is not in his “heart” to think so, but on the other hand it IS in his “heart” to destroy-the very characteristic of the Assyrian, the modern German, is a harsh, cruel, iron, dedication to militarism and destruction! (Hill DJ, God’s Destiny for Germany. Plain Truth, March 1962, pp. 28-29)

I, too, expect that Russia will make a deal with the Europeans. Some deals have been hinted at this in more recent years (see Greece begs Germany’s Merkel not to throw them ‘overboard,’ while it makes deals with Russia; see also Vladimir Putin allegedly helped stop a Grexit).

I believe that one day, after the final European King of the North takes over the USA, Russia will likely end up with at least part of Alaska and maybe parts of Canada, consistent with the following:

39 Thus he shall act against the strongest fortresses with a foreign god, which he shall acknowledge, and advance its glory; and he shall cause them to rule over many, and divide the land for gain (Daniel 11:39).

How might that pertain to Russia?

Well, although Russia sold Alaska to the United States in the 1800s, there have been reports that it wants it back (see Russia and Ukraine: Their Origins and Prophesied Future). Since the European King of the North will defeat the USA (the land of the “strongest fortresses”; see also USA in Prophecy: The Strongest Fortresses) and DIVIDE its lands for gain, it may well be that Europe will agree to give some of what it conquers to Russia.

The Europeans have not been pleased with US President Donald Trump and various policies of his, including statements he has made about trade. While some see Russia as more of a threat, many in Europe believe that Russia can be dealt with and that the Americans have basically lost it by voting in Donald Trump.

It should also be noted that the Bible says that a power from the north will assemble many nations:

9 For behold, I will raise and cause to come up against Babylon
An assembly of great nations from the north country,
And they shall array themselves against her;
From there she shall be captured.
Their arrows shall be like those of an expert warrior;
None shall return in vain. (Jeremiah 50:9)

50:41 Behold, a people shall come from the north,
And a great nation and many kings
Shall be raised up from the ends of the earth.
42 They shall hold the bow and the lance;
They are cruel and shall not show mercy.
Their voice shall roar like the sea;
They shall ride on horses,
Set in array, like a man for the battle,
Against you, O daughter of Babylon. (Jeremiah 50:41-42).

From a European perspective, Russia is a north country whose borders reach to the eastern ends of the earth. The EAEU will add more nations and/or cooperate with more nations militarily in order to fulfill those prophecies in Jeremiah 50.

Notice also that Isaiah shows Babylon will have problems with a group from a far country:

1 The burden against Babylon which Isaiah the son of Amoz saw.

2 “Lift up a banner on the high mountain,Raise your voice to them; Wave your hand, that they may enter the gates of the nobles. 3 I have commanded My sanctified ones; I have also called My mighty ones for My anger–Those who rejoice in My exaltation.” 4 The noise of a multitude in the mountains, Like that of many people! A tumultuous noise of the kingdoms of nations gathered together! The LORD of hosts musters The army for battle. 5 They come from a far country, From the end of heaven–The LORD and His weapons of indignation,To destroy the whole land. 6 Wail, for the day of the LORD is at hand!It will come as destruction from the Almighty. 7 Therefore all hands will be limp, Every man’s heart will melt, 8 And they will be afraid. Pangs and sorrows will take hold of them; They will be in pain as a woman in childbirth; They will be amazed at one another; Their faces will be like flames (Isaiah 13:1-8).

Thus, both the accounts in Jeremiah and Isaiah seem related to the same invaders. This is referring to an end time confederation that has a distance to travel–apparently a type of union of powers from the east including Russia, who is also the major power of the far north.

And this type of confederation is something that it appears that the EAEU wants to become.

Since modern warfare involves complex communications, working on integrating the satellites of several nations by the EAEU seems to be a precursor for some of the cooperation that will happen in the end.
