Donald Trump is upset with an advertisement paid for by Canada. Here is an article about that from the Associated Press:

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump announced he’s ending “all trade negotiations” with Canada because of a television ad opposing U.S. tariffs that he said misstated the facts and called “egregious behavior” aimed at influencing U.S. court decisions.

The post on Trump’s social media site came Thursday night after Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney said he aims to double his country’s exports to countries outside the U.S. because of the threat posed by Trump’s tariffs. Trump’s call for an abrupt end to negotiations could further inflame trade tensions that already have been building between the two neighboring countries for months.

Trump posted, “The Ronald Reagan Foundation has just announced that Canada has fraudulently used an advertisement, which is FAKE, featuring Ronald Reagan speaking negatively about Tariffs.”

“The ad was for $75,000.000. They only did this to interfere with the decision of the U.S. Supreme Court, and other courts,” Trump wrote on his social media site. “TARIFFS ARE VERY IMPORTANT TO THE NATIONAL SECURITY, AND ECONOMY, OF THE U.S.A. Based on their egregious behavior, ALL TRADE NEGOTIATIONS WITH CANADA ARE HEREBY TERMINATED.” …

Trump, a Republican, was still at it on Friday morning, furiously posting on his social media site that “CANADA CHEATED AND GOT CAUGHT!!!” on the tariff ad.

“THE UNITED STATES IS WEALTHY, POWERFUL, AND NATIONALLY SECURE AGAIN, ALL BECAUSE OF TARIFFS!”

Earlier Thursday night, the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute posted on X that an ad created by the government of Ontario “misrepresents the ‘Presidential Radio Address to the Nation on Free and Fair Trade’ dated April 25, 1987.” It added that Ontario did not receive foundation permission “to use and edit the remarks.”

The foundation said it is “reviewing legal options in this matter” and invited the public to watch the unedited video of Reagan’s address. …

Note: The Associated Press put that the ad was for $75,000, but Donald Trump’s Truth Social post stated $75,000,000, so I corrected that in the article above. Here is what Donald Trump actually posted:

As it turns out, I have seen that ad a couple of times. It features Ronald Reagan speaking and implies that he is completely against tariffs because they are harmful. While tariffs often are harmful, Ronald Reagan had imposed 100% tariffs on certain Japanese electronics just prior to making the speech.

The ad, sponsored by Canada’s province of Ontario and released last week, features excerpts of an address Reagan gave in 1987 focusing on foreign trade.

Trump called the advert “FAKE” while The Ronald Reagan Foundation said it “misrepresents” the former president’s address. …

The 1987 radio speech – Address to the Nation on Free and Fair Trade – begins with Reagan saying Japan’s prime minister will visit the White House and “recent disagreements” on trade will be discussed. Many Republicans believe that Ronald Reagan was the best president in their lifetime. The advertisement seemed, to me at least, to be an attempt to turn Republicans against Donald Trump.

The ad is misleading and I can see why Donald Trump would be offended by it.

This ad was not a good move by Ontario.

Furthermore, as the Associated Press pointed out, “More than three-quarters of Canadian exports go to the U.S.” This makes Canada highly dependent upon the USA.

Canada is in a precarious position these days and Donald Trump seems willing to try to cause Canada a lot of economic pain to get it to accede to his demands. Yes, Donald Trump has used bullying tactics.

Why?

Because Canada does not have much economic or military power compared to the USA.

Because Donald Trump has long been a bully in business and as USA President, he thinks he can continue to be.

And while he can act as a bully to a degree, do not think that there is no cost to that.

Canada will, once again, decide it has to bend the knee to the USA regarding trade.

However Canada, as well as other nations, are looking to trade more with Europe as they are trying to figure out how to thrive with less trade with the USA. Europe will rise up, for a time, per biblical prophecies in Revelation 17 & 18.

That said, there is something else going on in Canada–censorship and surveillance.

Canadian Gov’t To Begin Arresting Citizens Who Post ‘Hateful Content’ on Social Media

The Canadian government has announced plans to begin arresting citizens who post material on social media deemed “offensive” by the government.

Recently asked about Bill C-9, the Combating Hate Act, Justice Minister Sean Fraser said the bill would apply to certain online content that involves the “willful promotion of hatred.”

Infowars.com reports: “Generally speaking, the law will apply equally online as it does in real communities,” he said, adding, “just in the limited circumstances where there is the willful promotion of hatred against someone.”

As reported by LifeSiteNews, Bill C-9 has been blasted by constitutional experts as allowing empowered police and the government to go after those it deems have violated a person’s “feelings” in a “hateful” way.

Bill C-9 was brought forth in the House of Commons on September 19 by Fraser. The Liberals have boasted that the bill will make it a crime for people to block the entrance to, or intimidate people from attending, a church or other place of worship, a school, or a community center. The bill would also make it a crime to promote so-called hate symbols and would, in effect, ban the display of certain symbols such as the Nazi flag.

While the idea of censoring out hate is appealing, the reality is that that Canada considers that the Bible itself contains hate speech that needs to be censored.

The USA continues to increase its official debt.

In the midst of a federal government shutdown, the U.S. government’s gross national debt surpassed $38 trillion Wednesday, a record number that highlights the accelerating accumulation of debt on America’s balance sheet.

It’s also the fastest accumulation of a trillion dollars in debt outside of the COVID-19 pandemic — the U.S. hit $37 trillion in gross national debt in August this year.

The $38 trillion update is found in the latest Treasury Department report, which logs the nation’s daily finances.

Kent Smetters of the University of Pennsylvania’s Penn Wharton Budget Model, who served in President George W. Bush’s Treasury Department, told The Associated Press that a growing debt load over time leads ultimately to higher inflation, eroding Americans’ purchasing power.

The Government Accountability Office outlines some of the impacts of rising government debt on Americans — including higher borrowing costs for things like mortgages and cars, lower wages from businesses having less money available to invest, and more expensive goods and services. …

The Trump administration says its policies are helping to slow government spending and will shrink the nation’s massive deficit. A new analysis by Treasury Department officials states that from April to September, the cumulative deficit totaled $468 billion. In a post on X Wednesday, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said that’s the lowest reading since 2019.

“During his first eight months in office, President Trump has reduced the deficit by $350 billion compared to the same period in 2024 by cutting spending and boosting revenue,” White House spokesman Kush Desai said in a statement, adding that the administration would pursue robust economic growth, lower inflation, tariff revenue, lower borrowing costs and cuts to waste, fraud and abuse.

The Joint Economic Committee estimates that the total national debt has grown by $69,713.82 per second for the past year.

Michael Peterson, chair and CEO of the Peter G. The fact that even under the so-called government shut-down the debt continues to rise is consistent with what I warned here on October 1, 2025:

Let me simply add that this is basically a political game of “chicken.”

But what will happen is the the debt of the USA will rise.

Sadly, the debt continues to rise.

Back in 2009, then US President Barack Obama stated that the deficit spending at that time was “unsustainable” (https://joewilson.house.gov/media-center/press-releases/president-obama-do-as-i-say-not-as-i-do May 15, 2009) yet the USA has continued down that path.

While many see no real problem with debt, and actually think it is highly beneficial, consider the following:

Yes, despite its size and impact on the world economy, the USA cannot continue to indefinitely do what it has been doing regarding debt and financial manipulation.

The amount of official federal USA debt is now over $38 trillion. And, yes, inflation has gotten worse since that 2021 article came out.

As far as being a ‘Ponzi’ scheme by the US Treasury, here is information about Charles Ponzi:

Basically, a Ponzi scheme is to pretend something is more valuable than it is in order to con others to support it financially.

With Treasury manipulation and military power, along with corruption in international governments, the USA has been able to pull this off for a lot longer than Charles Ponzi could.

The massive debt of the USA was prophesied over 2400 years ago.

And the time will come, according to Bible prophecy, when the nations of the world will no longer accept the pledges (US Treasury Bills and Notes) of the indebted one:

2 Then the Lord answered me and said:

“Write the vision
And make it plain on tablets,
That he may run who reads it.
3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time;
But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie.
Though it tarries, wait for it;
Because it will surely come,
It will not tarry. (Habakkuk 2:2-3)

6 “Will not all these take up a proverb against him,
And a taunting riddle against him, and say,
‘Woe to him who increases
What is not his — how long?
And to him who loads himself with many pledges’?
7 Will not your creditors rise up suddenly?
Will they not awaken who oppress you?
And you will become their booty.
8 Because you have plundered many nations,
All the remnant of the people shall plunder you,
Because of men’s blood
And the violence of the land and the city,
And of all who dwell in it. (Habakkuk 2:6-8).

Please pay attention to the fact that that above is a prophecy for the appointed time of the end–essentially the time of the Great Tribulation (Matthew 24:21). The USA has been accumulating pledges in the form of US Treasury bonds and notes, and is the most indebted nation of all time. It is descendants of Israel, like the USA, that are prophesied to have debt issues with foreigners if they turn from God’s laws (cf. Deuteronomy 28:43-44)–that is consistent with Habakkuk 2:6-8. The above prophecy is NOT a reference to the nation calling itself Israel as it has nothing compared to USA debt.

Notice that the prophecy in Habakkuk says what will happen is so bad, that people should run who read it. That is, they should seriously consider what this means and take the appropriate steps.

Foreign creditors will rise up.

The Bible clearly warns that an indebted people will be destroyed by people whose language that they do not understand, and that the destruction will be fairly total:

43 The alien who is among you shall rise higher and higher above you, and you shall come down lower and lower. 44 He shall lend to you, but you shall not lend to him; he shall be the head, and you shall be the tail. 45 Moreover all these curses shall come upon you and pursue and overtake you, until you are destroyed…47 “Because you did not serve the LORD your God with joy and gladness of heart, for the abundance of everything, 48 therefore you shall serve your enemies, whom the LORD will send against you, in hunger, in thirst, in nakedness, and in need of everything; and He will put a yoke of iron on your neck until He has destroyed you. 49 The LORD will bring a nation against you from afar, from the end of the earth, as swift as the eagle flies, a nation whose language you will not understand, 50 a nation of fierce countenance, which does not respect the elderly nor show favor to the young. 51 And they shall eat the increase of your livestock and the produce of your land, until you are destroyed; they shall not leave you grain or new wine or oil, or the increase of your cattle or the offspring of your flocks, until they have destroyed you. 52 They shall besiege you at all your gates until your high and fortified walls, in which you trust, come down throughout all your land; and they shall besiege you at all your gates throughout all your land which the LORD your God has given you (Deuteronomy 28:43-45,47-52).

7 The rich rules over the poor, And the borrower is servant to the lender. (Proverbs 22:7)

13 And the Lord said, “Because they have forsaken My law which I set before them, and have not obeyed My voice, nor walked according to it, 14 but they have walked according to the dictates of their own hearts…16 I will scatter them also among the Gentiles, whom neither they nor their fathers have known. And I will send a sword after them until I have consumed them.” (Jeremiah 9:13,14a,16)

12 One-third of you shall die of the pestilence, and be consumed with famine in your midst; and one-third shall fall by the sword all around you; and I will scatter another third to all the winds, and I will draw out a sword after them. (Ezekiel 5:12)

Most will not believe, but that was expected:

The ‘Ponzi’ scheme that the USA has been pulling off will not go on forever–even though politicians act like it can.

On June 3, 2023, US President Joe Biden signed a bill to increase the official debt-ceiling of the United States. According to its Treasury the “ceiling” has been changed, increased, or delayed 78 other times. The official debt has nearly tripled since the Obama-Biden Administration. The official debt increased about $2 trillion per year under Donald Trump’s Administration and has done close to that in the Joe Biden Administration. While the USA has been able to increase debt with limited consequences (like inflation) so far, does the Bible show this can end in destruction? What did God warn about debt through the prophet Habakkuk? Is getting into high amounts of debt a blessing or curse according to the Bible? Do Democrats or Republicans currently have a plan that will now be implemented to pay off the debt? Has the USA been functioning as an international “leech” consistent with statements in the Book of Proverbs? Does the Bible say it is wicked to borrow money you do really intend to repay? Britain’s King Charles III and Pope Leo XIV have prayed in public together in a historic moment, marking the first time in 500 years that leaders of both the Church of England and the Catholic Church have taken part in a joint service.

King Charles III has become the first head of the Anglican church to pray in public with a Pope in a move aimed at forging closer ties between the Church of England and the Catholic Church.

The historic meeting is highly significant and symbolic as it comes almost half a century since the Reformation – the Church of England’s split from the Vatican.

The king, who is the supreme governor of the Church of England, was seated at the pope’s left near the altar of the chapel, as the pope and Anglican Archbishop Stephen Cottrell led the service, that was mainly in English but featured some singing in Latin.

Clergy and choirs from both the Catholic Church and the Church of England were brought together for the service, which was seen as a symbolic display of unity. …

Before praying together, the two leaders met in the pope’s library and exchanged gifts.

King Charles gave the pope an Icon of St Edward the Confessor, a devout 11th century king of England.

Pope Leo gifted a scale version of a mosaic of Christ Pantocrator, which depicts Jesus in a Normal cathedral in Sicily. The mosaic was made in the Vatican.

Charles also met with Cardinal Pietro Parolin, the Holy See’s Cardinal Secretary of State.

He was the first papal representative in 500 years to attend a British monarch’s coronation when he attended King Charles’s coronation at Westminster Abbey in 2023.

The king will travel in the afternoon to Rome’s Basilica of Saint Paul Outside the Walls, where he will receive the new title of Royal Confrater, or brother, after Pope Leo approved the move.

A wooden chair will also be gifted to the monarch, which will be reserved for future use by British royalty, that has been decorated with the king’s coat of arms.

To mark the occasion, King Charles will be formally named Royal Confrater of Saint Paul by Cardinal James Michael Harvey and Abbot Donato Ogliari, with the approval of Pope Leo XIV. “It is a sign of honour and spiritual communion,” said Archbishop Pace.

A specially designed chair bearing King Charles’s coat of arms and the Latin inscription Ut unum sint (“That they may be one” – John 17:21) will be used during the ceremony. The chair will remain in the Basilica’s apse and will be available for use by the King and his successors on future visits. …

Following the ecumenical prayer service, Pope Leo and King Charles will participate in a private meeting in the Sala Regia with Church leaders, business figures, environmental advocates, and UN experts. As I have posted here before, both King Charles III and Pope Leo XIV are ecumenical and pushing an ecumenical and globalist agenda.

It appears that Newman composed this hymn while being ill during his return from Rome in 1833. His new chair to be left ,for his use and those who follow him, at St Paul’s Outside the Walls. The same church that popes are seen sitting in a white throne between two cherubim(Isa. 37:16, Rev 20:11). Will King Charles chair also be in “that” area? The book I sent to you about W/H also contains some of this related info. J. H. Newman was very important in Westcott’s loss of faith. As you know he will be made a “Doctor” on Nov 1 “All Saints Day”. Wow the connections!!.

The Apostle Paul warned the faithful:

Buckingham Palace announced that King Charles III will be making his first international state visit from March 26-31, 2023 by going to France and Germany. Some believe this is intended to attempt to smooth over some relations between the United Kingdom and the European Union. Could there be any connection to the goals of the World Economic Forum? Could this visit possibly help set the stage for the UK (prophetic Ephraim) to fulfill certain prophecies related to Germany (prophetic Assyria) after the start of the Great Tribulation? King Charles III looks to be promoting the interfaith agenda that various globalists want.

But such an agenda is not part of the Christian faith, nor something he should be promoting.

Nor should Archbishop Cottrell have officiated over this. He looks to be an apostate from a long line of Cottrells, that were once condemned by the Church of Rome.

Let’s look at some historical items involving the Cotterells.

Although the Roman Emperor Theodosius endorsed killing the faithful in the late fourth century, in the fifth century Pope Leo I (440-461) actually decided that killing those associated with the Church of God was not appropriate (Leo I Letter to Turribius). This was confirmed by the Third Lateran Council in 1179, which apparently decided that economic blackmail was better:

As St. Leo says, though the discipline of the church should be satisfied with the judgment of the priest and should not cause the shedding of blood, yet it is helped by the laws of catholic princes so that people often seek a salutary remedy when they fear that a corporal punishment will overtake them. For this reason, since in Gascony and the regions of Albi and Toulouse and in other places the loathsome heresy of those whom some call the Cathars, others the Patarenes, others the Publicani, and others by different names, has grown so strong that they no longer practise their wickedness in secret, as others do, but proclaim their error publicly and draw the simple and weak to join them, we declare that they and their defenders and those who receive them are under anathema, and we forbid under pain of anathema that anyone should keep or support them in their houses or lands or should trade with them. If anyone dies in this sin, then neither under cover of our privileges granted to anyone, nor for any other reason, is mass to be offered for them or are they to receive burial among Christians. With regard to the Brabanters, Aragonese, Navarrese, Basques, Coterelli and Triaverdini {17 }, who practise such cruelty upon Christians that they respect neither churches nor monasteries, and spare neither widows, orphans, old or young nor any age or sex, but like pagans destroy and lay everything waste, we likewise decree that those who hire, keep or support them, in the districts where they rage around, should be denounced publicly on Sundays and other solemn days in the churches, that they should be subject in every way to the same sentence and penalty as the above-mentioned heretics and that they should not be received into the communion of the church, unless they abjure their pernicious society and heresy (Third Lateran Council, Canon 27. 1179 A.D. Translation taken from Decrees of the Ecumenical Councils, ed. Norman P. Tanner).

The Coterelli moved further north because of this persecution, and ended up changing the spelling of their name.

Another report states:

Tradition persists that the family of COTTRELL (also spelled as Cotterell, Catterell, etc.) was among the first of the Albigenses to find refuge in England, predating the Huguenot movement (Bierce, Thurber Hoffman and Cottrell, Lisle. Ancestors in the United States of Byron H. Bierce and His Wife Mary Ida Cottrell of Cortland County, New York, 1962, p. 94).

It has also been observed that some of Coterelli (spelled Cottrell when Anglicized) moved to England and were also Sabbath-keepers who came to Rhode Island in the early 17th century (Nickels R.C. Six Paper on the History of the Church of God. Giving & Sharing, Neck City (MO), 1993, pp. 160-163 ) and some descendants continued at least three centuries longer than that with COG doctrines. Thus, it would seem that a succession through the laying on of hands has to have occurred, in at least one continuous family with Church of God doctrines, from 12th to the 19th centuries (Nickels, Six Paper on the History of the Church of God. pp.41, 161-163; Spalding , Arthur Whitefield. Captains of the Host: A History of the Seventh Day Adventists. Published by Kessinger Publishing, 2005, p. 198; The Memorial: Portraits of William Bliss [and others]. G.B. & J.H. Utter, 1874. Original from the New York Public Library, Digitized Mar 3, 2009, p. 127).

I have personally spoken with retired Seventh-day Adventist minister, Stanley Cottrell (who often lectures on church history), several times (7/29/08, 7/30/08 and in June of 2020). Stanley Cottrell specifically confirmed Richard Nickels’ account that his family came from the Albigenses in France, moved to England, Anglicized their name, came to Rhode Island in 1638, and were seventh-day Sabbath-keepers–though he was not sure if they we were in Italy, France, or England. I have also spoken to other Sabbath-keeping Cottrells who were related to Stanley Cottrell.

Some of the Cottrells, which seemed to be Church of God, arrived in North America from the British Isles in the 17th century. No later than 1692, we see a report that some were attending a Sabbath-keeping church (Leonard O. HISTORICAL SKETCH OF SEVENTH DAY BAPTISTS OF NEW JERSEY in Griffiths TS. A History of Baptists in New Jersey. Barr Press Pub. Co., 1904, p. 518).

I also personally saw Nicholas Cottrell’s name in a list of male, mainly, immigrants who settled in New England (mainly Rhode Island) and were Sabbath-keepers in what appears to be the late 17th and early 18th centuries (Dedication of Minsters’ Monument, Aug. 28, 1899. By Hopkinton (R.I. : Town). First Hopkinton Cemetery Association, First Hopkinton Cemetery Association, Hopkinton, R.I. First Hopkinton cemetery association. Published by Printed for the Association by the American Sabbath tract society, 1899, pp. 6,22).

A Sabbath-keeper in the 17th century, William Hiscox, endorsed the laying on of hands and mentioned one of the Cottrells (who apparently he had issues with) as he wrote:

The general meeting of the church at Westerly, Sept the 17th, 1698, being the Sabbath; Samuel Beebee and MaryCrandall submitted to the ordinance of hands, and were added to the church … John Cottrell, for some time stood as a brother in this congregation, and having for a long time neglected his duties in the church, … and having withdrawn his communion from us, the church do take themselves discharged, from their watch and care over him … (The Memorial: Portraits of William Bliss [and others].  G.B. & J.H. Utter, 1874, p. 127)

In the early 1800s, there arose another John Cottrell. Though considered to be a Seventh Day Baptist, he was not one in doctrine. Here is a report about him:

At Wende Station we found our aged Bro. Cottrell … Cottrell is nearly eighty years of age, remembers the dark day of 1780, and has been a Sabbath-keeper more than thirty years. He was formerly united with the Seventh-Day Baptists; but on some points of doctrine has differed from that body. He rejected the doctrine of the trinity, also the doctrine of man’s consciousness between death and the resurrection, and the punishment of the wicked in eternal consciousness. He believed that the wicked would be destroyed. Bro. Cottrell buried his wife not long since, who, it is said, was one of the excellent of the earth. Not long since, this aged pilgrim received a letter from friends in Wisconsin, purporting to be from M. Cottrell, his wife, who sleeps in Jesus. But he, believing that the dead know not anything, was prepared to reject at once the heresy that the spirits of the dead, knowing everything, come back and converse with the living. Thus truth is a staff in his old age. He has three sons in Mill Grove, who, with their families are Sabbath-keepers. (White J. Western Tour. The Review and Herald, June 9, 1853, p. 12,13)

The above are Church of God, not Seventh Day Baptist, doctrines–and he seemed to separate from the Sabbatarians who declared themselves SDBs and started to push, officially, for non-COG doctrines.

Let me add that John Cottrell is on the apostolic succession list of the Continuing Church of God for the period 1820 – 1850 John Cottrell–but he lost succession.

John Cottrell, based on a comment from his son Roswell, would have considered himself part of the “Church of God.” He did not have association with the organization known as Seventh Day Baptist for a number of years (presumably decades) because of differences of doctrine (Nickels R. Six Paper on the History of the Church of God. pp.41, 161-162). However, when he was elderly and influenced by his son Roswell, he fell to become a Seventh Day Adventist, so lost whatever succession he may have had by 1851 when he and Roswell both became SDAs. Note the SDAs were not trinitarian at that time, but well before then the Seventh Day Baptist organization was. Furthermore, it is not clear that the elderly John Cotterell understood various matters related to Ellen White, but perhaps mainly felt that James White’s idea to get Sabbatarian non-SDBs to cooperate was a good one.

There was also a Sabbatarian named S.G. Cottrell from Mill Grove NY that was NOT an SDA as he wrote in favor of the anti-SDA publication called The Hope of Israel (Cottrell SG. From Bro. Cottrell. The Hope of Israel, February 22, 1865, p. 5)–and he may have been John Cottrell’s son.

I would also add that, from another source in the 21st century, I was told that some Cottrels/Cottrells were in the old Worldwide Church of God in Canada in the 2oth century.

In the 21st century, a book came out by a woman with the name Cottrell that covered Sabbath-keepers in England in the 1600s, etc. (Cottrell-Boyce A. Jewish Christians in Puritan England. Pickwick Publications, 2021, p. 119). She reported on Sabbath-keepers like John Traske, who is on the apostolic succession list of the Continuing Church of God. She reported that John Traske claimed to get one or more dreams from God, was considered as some type of a prophet, kept the seventh-day Sabbath, opposed rote recitation of prayer, supported the poor, and stood for biblical literalism. She pointed out that some suggested that he had ties to the Lollards. Hence, that Cottrell pointed out that John Traske had many doctrines consistent with those of the Continuing Church of God.

Also in the 21st century, the Continuing Church of God has sent literature to people with the name Cottrell who requested it.

So, why mention the Cottrells?

Several reasons:

1. They were condemned by the Vatican in 1179.
2. They went to France, then England, and some ended up in North America in the 17th century.
3. Some had the laying on of hands.
4. Some were Church of God.
5. Some apostatized.
6. We see a family that has had Sabbath-keepers from prior to 1179 through present.
7. One Cottrell, who came from the apostates, Anglican Archbishop Stephen Cottrell, is now promoting unity between Protestants and Roman Catholics.

That said, more and more in the world are promoting the globalist ecumenical agenda.

When this happened in 1179, the Coterellis and others, resisted that.

We in the Continuing Church of God continue to resist that to this day.

He then went on to state that “Anthony Fauci got all the responsibility for bio-weapons development,” adding that after three bugs escaped from three labs in the U.S. “In 2014, 300 scientists wrote to President Obama and said ‘you’ve gotta shut down Anthony Fauci, because he is going to create a microbe that will cause a global pandemic.’”

And, as it turns out, it is usually not difficult to turn biological pathogens into weapons.

The USA certainly has dangerous biological agents from which it could do so. So, do many other nations.

Remember that Jesus Himself warned that the “signs” of the end of the age would include pestilences:

Biological warfare agents certainly can be a factor in pestilences.

Furthermore, in the sixth chapter of the Book of Revelation, the ride of four horsemen are described. The passages about the fourth horseman are as follows:

So, the opening of the fourth seal is the time that the pale horse of death is apparently increasing death by war, hunger, and pestilences (the beasts of the earth).

Could humans intentionally cause some of that?

Certainly.

But… it is only recently that he has seriously considered the idea of using CBW on a grand scale — to erase whole populations! Thousands of years ago man discovered the diabolical use of poison. He learned to use poison to dispose of rulers, dignitaries, or large numbers of his enemies by poisoning their food or water supply. Poisoned arrows were also used in warfare. Millenniums ago man learned that he could throw the corpses of plague-infected humans over the walls of besieged cities which he sought to overthrow — thereby causing terrible plague to ravage the entire city. Early American settlers traded plague-infected blankets to American Indians in times of frontier hostilities. Awful Potential

We can see the awful potential of rampant disease organisms by observing what did happen during the Dark Ages. The BLACK DEATH of 1348-50 was the worst natural disaster to befall man in the last 4000 years. This terrible plague swept over all Europe — killing at least one third of the population! In certain areas nearly three fourths of the population was killed by plague! Three fifths of all Britons succumbed to the Black Death — reducing Britain’s population from 5.1 million in 1348 to 2.1 million in 1374.

Many, believing they would certainly fall victims of the Black Death, gave themselves over to reckless abandon — drunkenness, sexual orgies, violence, crime and general lawlessness. “Eat, drink and be merry, for tomorrow we die of plague,” they reasoned. But biological warfare is potentially much worse than plague.

Colonel Adam Mikovich of Moscow Institute understands the full potential of Biological Warfare. He said: “It is believed today that Biological War would have the greatest effect of all” (Post, Jan. 30, 1965). …

An Ounce of Doom!

Many scientists right now are searching for new plagues with which to decimate the human population. And they are diligently seeking deadlier strains of old viruses with which to destroy whole populations. Of course, these scientists justify their CBW research by saying it is done for defensive reasons. Just how lethal are these viruses? Do you grasp the deadly potential? “In theory one gram of chicken embryo tissue inoculated with the Q-fever organism would be sufficient to infect more than one million people” (We All Fall Down, Robin Clarke). It has been estimated that one fourth of an ounce would be sufficient to infect every man, woman and child living in the British Isles! That’s about 55 million! Britain is especially vulnerable to chemical or germ warfare. She is thickly crowded and normal weather conditions in Britain are favorable to that type of warfare!

Botulinus, which was developed during World War II, is so deadly that it could wipe out all human life in a given area within six hours — yet leaving the target area habitable immediately after the attack. But some diseases would have a more lingering effect. …

Few realize that far more people have died from pestilence — from sickness and various plagues — through the course of human history, than have died in actual warfare.

It has been estimated that over 20,000,000 perished from influenza in just a few months at the close of World War I — and 50 times that number became ill. In the autumn of 1918, over 12,500,000 died in the flu epidemic which swept the undernourished nation of India. And over one-half million died in the United States. …

Destroying the Economy

Another terrifying aspect of CBW is that an enemy nation could destroy the economy of a nation — before actually attacking its civilians. This could be done by first attacking some of the main crops of the intended victim nation.
In 1942, 90 percent of India’s rice crop was destroyed by a natural strain of rice fungus.

And the highest award ever given to a U.S. civilian was awarded to a woman for developing another very deadly type of rice-blast fungus — which could, of course, be used against rice-eating nations like China or North Vietnam.

A Russian scientist has reportedly discovered a very deadly wheat rust — a type to which America’s wheat would be especially susceptible.

Thus, one can see how an enemy could greatly undermine the economy of a nation by first destroying the main crops through bacteriological warfare.

As a further example of the effects of this type of warfare, consider the terrible economic effects which the Irish potato famine of the mid-1800’s had on Ireland. That particular potato famine was caused by a peculiar potato blight or fungus which completely wiped out Ireland’s potato crop!

Previous to the famine, Ireland was one of the most densely populated countries in Europe. Yet it was a country stricken with the most unbelievable poverty. “There never was,” said the Duke of Wellington, a native of County Meath, “a country in which poverty existed to the extent that exists in Ireland.” “Nearly half of the families of the rural population,” reported the 1841 census, “are living in houses of the lowest state” — windowless mud cabins of a single room. …

CBW weapons are cheap to manufacture, and are comparatively inexpensive to deliver to enemy targets. A small nation could develop a whole arsenal of CBW agents and deliver them with very little strain on its budget. …

Scientists must bear their full share of responsibility for their part in developing more deadly and virulent microbes which could unleash horrifying disease epidemics upon this world.

But where does this leave us? Will scientists cease their horrifying work? Hardly.

It leaves us precisely where the world’s most noted newscaster — Jesus Christ — said it would leave us! Speaking of our very day, he warned: “For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved [alive]: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened” (Matt. 24:21, 22).

But how?

The Only Solution

Make no mistake about it — man does not have the solution to his ever-accelerating arms-race problem. But God does!

We can be very thankful that the God of the universe is about to put an end to man’s hellish insanity toward his fellowman. His government will “rebuke strong nations afar off: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up a sword against nation, neither shall they LEARN WAR any more” (Micah 4:3).

Mercifully, God Almighty will not let man destroy himself! If God didn’t keep His hand firmly on the controls, man would annihilate himself.

We can rejoice that total disarmament is very near. The day is soon coming when the nations will close down all of their chemical and biological establishments — and their munitions factories!

Then all of man’s scientific efforts will be directed toward construction — not Destruction. Toward saving lives — not destroying them! (McNair R. The Doomsday Bug. Plain Truth, August 1969)

So, yes, the old WCG was right that humans would continue to look into developing pestilences. And yes, the solution will be God’s intervention, and the establishment of the coming Kingdom of God.

That is good news.

However, before then, more pestilences are coming (Revelation 6:7-8).

Biological Warfare and Prophecy

Is biological warfare possible? Was it prophesied? Scientists have long warned that pathogenic organisms like the coronavirus could be weaponized. Furthermore, back in 2017, there were concerns that the biological research facility being constructed in Wuhan, China was risky and that a coronavirus from it could be released. On January 25, 2020, China’s President Xi Jinping publicly stated that the situation with the Wuhan-related strain of the coronavirus was grave. Did Church of God writers like the late evangelist Raymond McNair warn that engineered viruses (the “Doomsday bug”) were consistent with prophecies from Jesus? Tucker Carlson interviewed Democratic presidential party candidate Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. (RFK). During that interview, RFK asserted that the United States has had thousands of scientists working on making bioweapons. Officially, the USA has denied this as it is a party to the Biological Weapons Convention. RFK states that Anthoy Fauci was responsible for biological weapons development. “Asian nations must be extremely vigilant” following the latest announcement by these three countries – which make up the AUKUS security alliance – Beijing has previously referred to as “the NATO of the Pacific,” he said.

The United States, United Kingdom and Australia announced … they will work together via the recently created security alliance known as AUKUS to develop hypersonic missiles.

China believes, correctly, that the AUKUS group and its military plans are intended towards reducing China’s military influence in the Asia-Pacific region. China is interested in Australia and one day may very well control it.

That being said, it is not just China that is disturbed by AUKUS, much of Europe has been as well (see also AUKUS alliance; EU wants its own stronger military).

AUKUS is one of several USA moves getting Europe to wish to develop its own military–one independent of the USA.

AUKUS sparking European military

In September 2021, US President Joe Biden, UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson, and Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison announced a new military partnership called AUKUS. This announcement upset the French and the European Union, which is not part of it. Could AUKUS be another spark for the Europeans to develop their own joint military? What have European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and former German Vice Chancellor Sigmar Gabriel called for? Could having the Europeans increase their military capacity and technology and be dangerous? Is the European King of the North, also called the King of Assyria, prophesied to destroy the USA (Daniel 11:39) and its British-descended allies? What could stop that? Is national or personal repentance possible? Do the nations need Jesus or military alliances?

US President Donald Trump and Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese Monday signed an agreement on Australia’s rare earth minerals.

The agreement comes as China puts new restrictions on rare earth exports, prompting Trump to impose an additional 100% tariff on imports from China from next month.

“In about a year from now, we’ll have so much critical mineral and rare earths that you won’t know what to do with them,” Trump told reporters at the White House.

Trump was hosting Albanese this morning at the White House and the leaders signed the document before the media.

Since 2009, I have warned about dependence on China for rare earth minerals (e.g. see China’s Rare Earth Power; China Continues Rare Earth Export Ban). The USA has paid lip service to this, and perhaps now will be in a better position to deal with this.

However, the rare earth mineral deal, as well as AUKUS, will NOT be able to stop the destruction that will come to Australia, the UK, and the USA.

Daniel 11:39: Conquering of the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, part I

This is the eighth part of a multi-sermon series intended to cover the Book of Daniel. This sermon covers Daniel 11;39 and several ramifications of it. There are so many ramifications and related points, that a second sermon related to Daniel 11:39 is expected. Dr. Thiel reads translations of Daniel 11:39 from Protestant, Roman Catholic, Church of God, and Jewish Bibles to show that proper translations point to conclusions that most have not understood. He states that Daniel 11:39 shows that the coming European King of the North Beast power will attack and conquer the power with the strongest fortresses. And that it also shows that the land will be divided for gain. This ties in with many prophecies in Isaiah, Jeremiah, Hosea, Amos, Daniel, and the Book of Revelation. What nation has the “strongest fortresses” in the 21st century that this prophecy is referring to? Dr. Thiel explains some reasons why this verse is pointing to the United States directly as well as indirectly its British-descended allies of the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. He also mentions why this is not a reference to Russia, China, Latin America, the Middle East, or Africa. Dr. Thiel quotes prophecies showing that death will come to most of the Anglo-Americans through the sword, famine, and pestilences, and that most of the remaining ones will be taken prisoner as slaves. He also quotes scriptures related to Ephraim, Manasseh, Samaria, and Assyria and identifies who their modern descendants are. He shows that there are prophecies that suggest that preppers who head to the mountains or the wilderness will be pursued. Dr. Thiel mentions that the land may be divided among the Europeans, Mexicans, Irish, Russians, Chinese, and Japanese. Dr. Thiel quotes Jesus to prove that He returns AFTER the tribulation (Matthew 24:29-31), hence negating the pre-tribulation rapture view that many evangelical Protestants held. Dr. Thiel quotes passages of scripture that show that the Philadelphian remnant will face persecutions and difficulties, yet also that Jesus promised only those Christians protection (in the wilderness) from the hour of trial that will come upon the whole earth” (Revelation 3:7-10). He mentions that most Christians in the end times will not be protected, despite keeping the commandments and having the testimony of Jesus (Revelation 12:7). He also warns of Satan’s plan being laid out with false prophets and prophetesses who look forward to a ‘Great Monarch’ who has many similarities to the King of the North. Dr. Thiel asserts that end time Assyria and the end time Babylon are European. He intends to do a successive sermon on Daniel 11:39 as he has a lot more to cover related to it.

Daniel 11:39: Conquering of the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, part II

This is the second part of a two-part sermon covering Daniel 11:39. It is also the 9th part of an intended 10-part series expected to cover the entire Book of Daniel. This sermon reads a couple of different translations of Daniel 11:39 and goes into several of the ramifications of that verse. Such ramifications include mass destruction, probably from nuclear or other technologies, that will hit the United States and one or more of its British-descended allies. The ‘Five Eyes’ allied nations of the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, and New Zealand are discussed as well as biblical prophecies pointing to what sounds like coming nuclear devastation. Dr. Thiel points out that although various Living Church of God evangelists agreed with him related to Daniel 11:39, only the Continuing Church of God has publicly taught so many of the ramifications of Daniel 11:39. European technologies are discussed as well as increases in military spending by the Europeans. Dr. Thiel also points to Greco-Roman Catholic, Hindu, and Buddhist prophecies that seem to look forward to the biblical King of the North, the end-time European Babylonian Beast power, who seems to be referred to as the ‘Great Monarch,’ ‘Bhagwan Kalki,’ and possibly ‘Buddha Maitreya’ in non-biblical prophecies. Chinese prophecies from the Tang Dynasty are also cited showing Satan’s plan to deceive people with signs and lying wonders related to this leader, as is warned against in the second chapter of 2 Thessalonians. Even a prediction from Nostradamus is cited as it appears consistent with certain biblical warnings when a false peace will be proclaimed. A new religious order as well as the likelihood of crosses being used by the Beast and his supports is mentioned. Biblical prophecies related to the Beast becoming a worshiped, military power are cited as are scriptures related to the coming reorganization of Europe. Dr. Thiel refers to scriptures related to Ephraim, Manasseh, and Assyria and identifies who their modern descendants are. The timing of an expected nuclear-type attack of the USA, UK, and Canada by the late Pastor General of the old Worldwide Church of God, Herbert W. Armstrong is quoted. Dr. Thiel concurs that the timing of such an attack will be at the start of the Great Tribulation, which ties in with Daniel 11:39. US President Donald Trump, Klaus Schwab of the World Economic Forum (WEF), the United Nations, the European Union, and the Freemasons are mentioned as well as the plans for a new globalist world order. Dr. Thiel quotes passages of scripture that show that  the Philadelphian are the only Christians promised protection (in the wilderness) by Jesus from “the hour of trial that will come upon the whole earth” (Revelation 3:7-10). He mentions that most Christians in the end times will not be protected, despite keeping the commandments and having the testimony of Jesus (Revelation 12:7). Dr. Thiel states that it does matter which Church of God you are in/support.

Tehran and Washington engaged in five rounds of indirect nuclear negotiations that ended with the 12-day air war in June in which Israel and the U.S. bombed Iranian nuclear sites.

“Trump says he is a dealmaker, but if a deal is accompanied by coercion and its outcome is predetermined, it is not a deal but rather an imposition and bullying,” Khamenei said according to state media.

Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s comments are not a surprise as many analysts concluded that the USA’s bombing of Iranian nuclear facilities earlier this year did not totally destroy Iran’s nuclear programs.

So, why the comments from the Ayatollah now?

Probably for several reasons.

Maybe the main one, which I posted about yesterday (see Iran, Russia, and China declare the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action nuclear deal is dead), is that Iran believes that its commitment to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, which the Obama Administration helped negotiate, expired on Saturday.

Might Iran wish to develop nuclear bombs?

According to an internal U.N. document, Khamenei embraced the concept of an Iranian nuclear bomb during a meeting of the country’s top leadership more than two decades ago, saying nuclear weapons were essential for preserving Iran’s Islamic Revolution.

The 2009 document, prepared for the International Atomic Energy Agency, is a collection of statements made by Iranian leaders about nuclear weapons, as gleaned from the nuclear watchdog’s intelligence sources. It cites an April 1984 meeting in which Khamenei allegedly endorsed a decision by then-leader Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini to launch a secret nuclear weapons program.

“According to Ayatollah Khamenei, this was the only way to secure the very essence of the Islamic Revolution from the schemes of its enemies … and to prepare it for the emergence of Imam Mahdi,” states the IAEA document, which was obtained by the Institute for Science and International Security, a Washington-based nonprofit group that analyzes nuclear weapons programs. The above shows that Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei endorsed getting nuclear weapons to help set the way for a leader commonly referred to as the Imam Mahdi to arrive.

Though a more significant Islamic power will rise up for a short while in the 21st century, this power will not not be Iranian and will not last (Daniel 11:40-43). Ayatollah Khamenei should consider more of what the Bible says, as Iran is not going to be the primary instrument to truly make that happen.

Yet, also ignoring certain portions of scripture, one of Iran’s presidents publicly stated that the purpose of the Iranian revolution was to prepare the way for an Islamic leader, the Imam Mahdi, also called the the 12th Imam, to rise up (this was over a decade ago). This Imam Mahdi sounds a lot like the final King of the South that the Bible warns against (though the actual one that many Shi’ites expect from “suspended animation” is not likely to be that King, but a Mahdi belief will likely be a factor in getting the final King of the South). A few years back, Iran’s former president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad claimed that it was the Imam Mahdi who was behind the revolutions in the various Arab lands as well as other events in the world (see Mahmoud Ahmadinejad: World Order About to Collapse, Mahdi Behind it).

Until the King of the South finally rises up, I would not be surprised if Iran, Hezbollah, and Syria get together to cause additional trouble (including possible war) with Israel as a means of hoping to provoke the rise of the Imam Mahdi, consistent with the following:

1 The burden against the Valley of Vision.

Your slain men are not slain with the sword, Nor dead in battle. 3 All your rulers have fled together; They are captured by the archers. 8 He removed the protection of Judah. You looked in that day to the armor of the House of the Forest; 9 You also saw the damage to the city of David, That it was great; And you gathered together the waters of the lower pool. 10 You numbered the houses of Jerusalem, And the houses you broke down To fortify the wall. 11 You also made a reservoir between the two walls For the water of the old pool. But you did not look to its Maker, Nor did you have respect for Him who fashioned it long ago.

12 And in that day the Lord God of hosts Called for weeping and for mourning,For baldness and for girding with sackcloth. 13 But instead, joy and gladness, Slaying oxen and killing sheep, Eating meat and drinking wine: “Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die!”

Elam seems to be a reference to at least some in Iran. The old Worldwide Church of God published the following:

Iranians comprise nearly 70 percent of the country. Iranians, though Islamic, are totally distinct from the neighboring Arab peoples of the Middle East. They are a mixed people of the remnants of Media and Elam and other ancestors of Semitic and Hamitic stock. (Stump K. South Asia in Prophecy. Plain Truth, July/August 1986, p. 5)

Kir is of interest as it has several possibilities.  One is that the Bible tells that after Tiglath-Pileser king of Assyria took over Damascus, he moved Syrians to Kir.  While this does not mean that Kir must (or must only) be a reference to Syria, the fact that Syria is an ally of Iran is interesting.  Some believe Kir is an area in the south of Iran, while others suggest closer to the Black Sea. God’s word has the expression “the Syrians from Kir” (Amos 9:7), which is basically confirmation that Kir of Isaiah 22 would include Syrians. The Bible also tells of a time when Kir will be destroyed (Isaiah 15:1b) and also says that Syria’s capital Damascus will be destroyed (Isaiah 17:1).

In Isaiah 22: 8, “Judah” is a reference to those in the land commonly called Israel–God will allow Israel to be attacked! In Isaiah 22:9, consider that “the damage to the city of David” is a reference to at least part of Jerusalem–and notice that the damage will be great. A nuclear bomb dropped by Iran that hits Jerusalem may be the way that Isaiah 22:6-8 will be fulfilled.

A nuclear-armed Iran, or an Iran that Israel suspects is about to be nuclear-armed, could trigger a massive regional conflict that could have major ramifications.

European nations continue to take steps against Islamic clothing that conceals a woman’s face. Portugal just took a step that way:

Portuguese parliament approves ban on wearing face veils in public spaces

Portugal’s parliament has approved a bill banning face veils worn for “gender or religious” reasons in public, in a move seen as targeting the face coverings worn by some Muslim women.

The bill was proposed by the far-right Chega party, and received support from the centre-right PSD, Liberal Initiative and CDS-PP. Left-leaning lawmakers, including from the PS, Livre, PCP and Bloco de Esquerda parties voted against the initiative.

The measure prohibits the “use, in public spaces, of clothing intended to conceal or obstruct the display of the face”, as is the case with the burqa — a full-body garment that covers a woman from head to foot — and niqabs — the full-face Islamic veil with space around the eyes.

It also prevents the act of “forcing someone to hide their face for reasons of gender or religion”, the parliamentary initiative reads.

Exceptions include when facial concealment “is duly justified for health reasons or professional, artistic, entertainment or publicity reasons”. …

The law will now be debated in the parliamentary committee on Constitutional Affairs, Rights, Freedoms and Guarantees, where it may also be amended. Over the past several years European nations such as Switzerland, France, Denmark, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, and the Netherlands have banned burqas and/or other Islamic garb that covers the face, and last week a Swedish official wants his nation to also look into that (see Sweden now looks to ban burqas–Europe will push out Islam).

Muslims obviously do not care for these threats and the other bans. But many in Europe feel that these bans will reduce Islamic encroachment of their culture.

Another concern is that the Portuguese government, like various other governments, believes that religion should conform to its values. That does not bode well for true Christianity in Europe in the future.

The time will come when Islam will be pushed out of Europe!

Burqa bans are a step in that direction. Burqa and veil bans in Europe are Orwellian steps–and more totalitarian steps will be put in place that Muslims and others will not like.

Will Islam be Pushed Out of Europe?

On June 8, 2018, Austria’s Chancellor Sebastian Kurz announced the closing of seven Islamic mosques in an effort to reduce “political Islam.” In the past several years, at least 6 European nations have banned the wearing of a commonly used garment by Islamic females. Heinz-Christian Strache (later Vice Chancellor of Austria) has declared that Islam has no place in Europe. Did Germany’s Angela Merkel call multiculturalism a failure? Will there be deals between the Muslims and the Europeans? Will a European Beast leader rise up after a reorganization that will eliminate nationalism? Will Europe push out Islam? In addition to cultural and other biases towards Muslims, official reasons for veil bans have to do with security issues.

Notice the following:

Across Europe, a number of countries have banned women from wearing the niqab in public and others are currently debating it. In the UK, there have been a number of discussions related to it in recent years. The State of Hate report found that 43% of Conservative voters and 20% of Labour voters support a ban on religious face coverings. The security arguments surrounding a potential face veil ban centre on the idea that it could be used as a ‘camouflage’ for terrorists. …

Looking at the experiences of European countries which have banned the niqab it is clear that, although arguments around secularism and feminism are made for introducing a ban, they have been coupled with arguments related to surveillance and national security. A 2017 paper looking at the ‘burqa ban’ (burqa refers to a full- face covering, including the eyes) in France found that legal documents spelling out bans or restrictions often use overtly neutral language and refrain from explicitly referring to the burqa. However, it argues that direct links are often made between veils and security.13 In a televised leaders’ debate during the 2017 UK General Election, Paul Nuttall, then-leader of UKIP, claimed that the niqab renders CCTV as ‘ineffective’.14

Several countries across Europe have put restrictions on wearing veils in public spaces. …

In 2011, France became the first European country to pass a nation-wide ban on the wearing of the full-face Islamic veil in public spaces – a law that was passed nearly unanimously by the French parliament and upheld by the European Court of Human Rights in 2014. Since then, several other European states – Belgium, Bulgaria, Austria, the Netherlands and Denmark – have followed suit in banning or restricting the wearing of Islamic face veils. Other countries like Italy, Spain and Switzerland enforce partial veil prohibitions in certain cities or regions. While these laws do not mention Islam or Islamic headgear by name, instead referring generally to any garments covering the face in order to avoid violating anti-discrimination provisions, they are widely believed to be targeted at Muslims and, for this reason, are often referred to as “burqa bans.”

Proponents of restrictions on Muslim veils make three main arguments. First, they claim that enveloping Islamic veils present a physical security threat, insofar as Muslim women might use these traditional Islamic garments to conceal weapons or explosives. “You could carry a rocket launcher under your veil”, as the former President of Latvia, Vaira Vike-Freiberga, put it. Similarly, Paul Nuttall, former leader of the UK Independence Party, justified banning the burqa on similar physical security grounds: “Obviously we have a heightened security risk at the moment and for CCTV to be effective, in an age of heightened terror, you need to be able to see people’s faces.” Finally, British Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, compared Muslim women in veils to letter boxes and bank robbers.

A second claim made by proponents of veil restrictions is that the veil represents a lack of proper Muslim integration into mainstream European society, which, in turn, creates populations vulnerable to radicalisation. In this view, the different Islamic headgears cover the face and prevent the participation of Muslim women in society. Much of the world in general, and Europe in particular, want to be able to track everyone in public, and often in private (e.g. see European government efforts to surveil all messages and chats and EU ‘Digital Services Act’ an Orwellian ‘Ministry of Truth’?).

Europe will end up as the Orwellian totalitarian ‘666’ power of Revelation 13.

While bans on veils are not the most serious step that way, they are consistent with the desire to have totalitarian controls.

Iran, Russia, and China sent a letter Saturday to the UN secretary-general and the Security Council, declaring that the nuclear deal with Tehran has been terminated, effectively ending the Council’s consideration of the Iranian nuclear issue.

The three countries criticized the UK, France, and Germany, known as the E3, for what they described as a “legally and procedurally flawed” attempt to trigger the snapback mechanism to reimpose UN sanctions on Iran under UN Security Council Resolution 2231.

“The attempt by the E3 to trigger the so-called ‘snapback’ is by default legally and procedurally flawed,” said the letter, adding that the European parties, “having themselves ceased to perform their commitments under both the JCPOA (Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action ) and Resolution 2231, lack the standing to invoke its provisions.”

The letter reaffirmed that “in accordance with operative paragraph 8 of Resolution 2231, all its provisions are terminated after Oct. 18, 2025,” stressing that “the full and timely conclusion of Resolution 2231 marks the end of the Security Council’s consideration of the Iranian nuclear issue and contributes to strengthening the authority of the Council and the credibility of multilateral diplomacy.” …

Tehran Declares No Longer Bound by Nuclear Deal

The 10-year nuclear deal between Iran and world powers expired on Saturday, with Tehran announcing it is no longer bound by the 2015 agreement.

From now on, “all of the [2015 deal] provisions, including the restrictions on the Iranian nuclear program and the related mechanisms, are considered terminated,” Iran’s Foreign Ministry said in a statement, adding, however, that the Islamic Republic remains committed to diplomacy, Agence France-Presse reported.

So, Iran believes it is no longer restricted from taking whatever military and nuclear steps that it may wish to pursue.

Might Iran pursue a nuclear bomb?

Yes.

Israel said it struck Hamas militants in southern Gaza on Sunday after they shot at Israeli soldiers who were inside the area that is still under Israeli control, according to the conditions of the Oct. 10 ceasefire.

Israel has launched air strikes in southern Gaza, after it said “terrorists fired an anti-tank missile and gunfire toward IDF [Israel Defense Forces] troops”.

The IDF said the attack in the southern city of Rafah was “a blatant violation of the ceasefire agreement” and promised to respond firmly.

Hamas said it was “unaware of any events or clashes taking place in the Rafah area, as these are red zones under the control of the occupation”.

The ceasefire deal – part of President Donald Trump’s plan to end the Gaza war – came into force on 10 October.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office said he had met top defence officials and instructed them “to act forcefully against terrorist targets in the Gaza Strip”.

Hamas’s military wing denied knowledge of any clashes in the Rafah area.

In its statement, al-Qassam Brigades said: “Contact with our remaining groups there has been cut off since the resumption of war in March of this year.

Now, this deal will basically be positive for the released Israeli hostages and their families. As well as for many in Gaza.

Hamas does not want all its supporters destroyed, but many doubt that it has changed its objectives. It wants Israel gone and Jews out of the area. It does not want to leave the area itself.

When protesters chant “from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free,” that is a Hamas adopted slogan that means that the area from the Jordan river to the Mediterranean Sea is to be Palestinian and not Israeli.

Israel did not eliminate Hamas as it stated it would.

2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord,
And the day of vengeance of our God;
To comfort all who mourn,  (Isaiah 61:1-2)

On October 13, 2025, I posted:

There are concerns about Hamas in this deal. I do not believe that all those associated with Hamas have renounced terrorism. … the age of terror is not over. And no, this deal is not leading permanent peace in the Middle East.

Hamas is not gone.

Do not overestimate aspects of this peace deal.

The attack by ‘rogue’ Hamas supporters confirmed my belief here.

That said, there will be no permanent peace in the region until after Jesus returns.

However, a temporary peace deal is prophesied to come (see The ‘Peace Deal’ of Daniel 9:27).

Unless it is changed and some part is somehow confirmed for seven years, the current deal is not it–but it will come.

WRAL News was live on the scene at the Apex protest that started at 9 a.m. People lined the streets while cars passed by and honked at them.

The North Carolina GOP responded to today’s ‘No Kings’ protests, saying:

“Far-left radical Democrats shut down the federal government to brag at these events they shut down the government to stop President Trump. Democrats must stop holding the government hostage at the expense of military service members, low-income families, and federal law enforcement.” …

At the national level, GOP leaders call the protests and rallygoers themselves “communists” and “Marxists.” They say Democratic leaders are beholden to the far-left flank and willing to keep the government shut down to appease those liberal forces.

“I encourage you to watch — we call it the Hate America rally — that will happen Saturday,” said House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La.

“Let’s see who shows up for that,” Johnson said, listing groups including “antifa types,” people who “hate capitalism” and “Marxists in full display.”

Protesting the direction of the country under President Donald Trump, people will gather Saturday in the nation’s capital and communities across the U.S. for “ No Kings ” demonstrations — what the president’s Republican Party is calling “Hate America” rallies.

This is the third mass mobilization since Trump’s return to the White House and it is expected to be the largest. It comes against the backdrop of a government shutdown that not only has closed federal programs and services, but is testing the core balance of power as an aggressive executive confronts Congress and the courts in ways that organizers warn are a slide toward American authoritarianism.

Trump himself is away from Washington at his Mar-a-Lago home in Florida.

Some have suggested that one of the reasons that the US government shutdown is still going on is because Democrats who might vote to reopen the government wanted to wait until after this protest was over.

In general, the mainstream media has tended to be on the side of the protesters.

Now regarding riots and protests, notice something from the old Radio Church of God written by the late Garner Ted Armstrong about 60 years ago:

And the lusts, jealousies, resentments and frustrations of human nature are not limited to anyone race. But they are most assuredly aggravated by race hatred. …

Racial tensions in the United States are being aggravated during these modern times, not quieted. Bigotry and bias are INCREASING, not decreasing. …

The plain truth of the matter is that the family is breaking down and disintegrating among all racial communities, around the world!

And remember, too, that Almighty God seriously indicts His people ISRAEL, more than any others for this breakdown in the family! We might consider that this weekend’s protests are consistent with a prediction from Garner Ted Armstrong.

May they lead to more protests, more police intervention, and more violence?

Yet is not washed from its filthiness.
13 There is a generation — oh, how lofty are their eyes!
And their eyelids are lifted up.
14 There is a generation whose teeth are like swords,
And whose fangs are like knives, (Proverbs 30:11-14)

5 “They have corrupted themselves;
They are  … A perverse and crooked generation.  (Deuteronomy 32:5)

Yes, we a seeing a generation like that.

Of course, it is not just some associated with the protests.

Notice that God inspired Isaiah to write:

8 Now go, write it before them on a tablet,
And note it on a scroll,
That it may be for time to come,
Forever and ever:
9 That this is a rebellious people,
Lying children,
Children who will not hear the law of the Lord;
10 Who say to the seers, “Do not see,”
And to the prophets, “Do not prophesy to us right things;
Speak to us smooth things, prophesy deceits.
11 Get out of the way,
Turn aside from the path,
Cause the Holy One of Israel
To cease from before us.”

12 Therefore thus says the Holy One of Israel:

“Because you despise this word,
And trust in oppression and perversity,
And rely on them,
13 Therefore this iniquity shall be to you
Like a breach ready to fall,
A bulge in a high wall,
Whose breaking comes suddenly, in an instant. (Isaiah 30:8-13)

The above is applicable to much of the USA.

More and more are despising the word of God and trusting in perversity.

The USA needs national repentance–without it is is doomed–and it will end fairly soon (cf. Daniel 11:39).

Many will say that the US has been promoting sin and increasing debt for decades, without problems, thus since it has the strongest military, etc., nothing will change.

Consider the following scriptures:

11 Because the sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil. 12 Though a sinner does evil a hundred times, and his days are prolonged, yet I surely know that it will be well with those who fear God, who fear before Him. 13 But it will not be well with the wicked; nor will he prolong his days, which are as a shadow, because he does not fear before God. (Ecclesiastes 8:11-13)

Yes, we are seeing increases in evil. The LGBTQ+ movement, which trusts in perversity, comes directly to mind.

Jesus said:

8 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be earthquakes in various places, and there will be famines and troubles. These are the beginnings of sorrows. …

28 “Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender, and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near. 29 So you also, when you see these things happening, know that it is near — at the doors! 30 Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place. (Mark 13:8, 28-30)

We are in a time of troubles and sorrows as Jesus prophesied.

It is the final generation of this age that experiences the beginning of sorrows and the ride of the four horsemen (and the opening of the first four seals).

National repentance is what the USA needs.

But since that is not likely, nor what the protesters or the Trump Administration are calling for, it will fall.

The USA does not need protests or troops in the street. The USA needs the return of Jesus and the Kingdom of God.
