European Council president Donald Tusk has warned that a UK vote to leave the EU could threaten “Western political civilisation”.

Mr Tusk said a vote to leave the EU would boost anti-European forces.

“As a historian I fear Brexit could be the beginning of the destruction of not only the EU but also Western political civilisation in its entirety,” he told the German newspaper Bild.

UKIP MP Douglas Carswell said the Remain campaign was “falling apart”.

Actually, a unified Europe will lead to the end of the current Western political civilization according to biblical prophecy (Revelation 17:12-13). And what will end up in Europe will ultimately have to be destroyed by Jesus and replaced (cf. Revelation 17:14).

According to the Bible, a future united Europe will destroy initially destroy the UK as well as the USA (e.g. Daniel 11:39), and not to much later, destroy much of the Arab world (e.g. Daniel 11:40-43). It will eventually be attacked by a Russian-Chinese-Asian power (e.g. Daniel 11:44) and then finally knocked out by God Himself (Revelation 17:14).

Thus, a united Europe will lead to an end of not only “Western Civilization” but human ruled civilization as we have known it (see also Mystery of Civilization).

But it is true that a Brexit itself could shake up the economy of the world as well as military and political alliances.

As regular readers of this page tend to be aware, a Brexit means a BRitish EXIT from the European Union. Something that those in the UK are to vote on June 23, 2016–this is very soon–about 1 1/2 weeks from now.

Donald Tusk has apparently decided that a top EU leader needed to make some strong statements–a week ago someone else in the top leadership apparently decided not to for fear of a reaction from the “Leave” side (see EU leaders keeping low profile on Brexit vote). And some of the “Leave” side have already objected to Donald Tusk’s statements.

Yet, no matter how the UK votes this month, a split between the EU and UK is coming. One day, there will be no more “Western Civilization.”
