In the past, two Democratic presidential candidates, Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton, were questioning their opponent’s qualifications for the job. Now even more has come out:

Bernie Sanders is facing mounting pressure from his supporters to disavow his endorsement of Hillary Clinton after a WikiLeaks release of 20,000 internal e-mails of the Democratic National Committee indicates the primary election was rigged.

Bernie’s campaign manager, Jeff Weaver, said someone must be held accountable for cheating voters out of a fair and impartial election.

Campaign officials argued that she had become a lightning rod because of the hacked emails, this person said. Added to the pressure she was already under to leave, the episode became a last straw in many Democrats’ minds.

And it may not be the end of it. R.T. Rybak, a former Minneapolis mayor and a DNC vice chairman, said in an interview that Wasserman Schultz did the right thing by resigning and “allowing the rest of us to clean up this mess so that we can quickly pivot to talking about Hillary Clinton.”

Rybak called for DNC staff who wrote emails aiming to discredit Sanders or any other candidate to be dismissed.

“There is some deeply disturbing information in the emails, but they don’t need to distract from the convention if the DNC takes clear and immediate action,” Rybak said. “We should clearly state that any person from the DNC who worked to discredit another presidential candidate, especially on DNC time and equipment, should be fired immediately. No question.”

(CNN) Debbie Wasserman Schultz announced Sunday she is stepping down as chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee at the end of the party’s convention, which is set to begin here Monday.

The Florida congresswoman’s resignation — under pressure from top Democrats — comes amid the release of leaked emails showing DNC staffers favoring Hillary Clinton over Bernie Sanders in the party’s 2016 primary contest.

Her announcement that she was leaving had pro-Sanders supporters cheering during a demonstration in Philadelphia and Donald Trump crowing, too. In her statement, Wasserman Schultz said that she remains committed to seeing Clinton elected president. Emails can have consequences, and I still feel that there was more to Hillary Clinton”s deleted emails than she ever let on. As far as Debbie Wasserman Schultz goes, I have always considered her to be corrupt.  And from what I understand about this email scandal, she basically tried to rig the system.

This is the strangest presidential primary cycle I have ever seen. Although many sincerely believe that it is their “Christian duty” to vote (even though that “duty” is not specified in the Bible, see Should a Christian Vote? and/or watch Should Christians Vote?), some seem to have overlooked some prophecies related to political leaders in the end times:

12 As for My people, children are their oppressors, And women rule over them. O My people! Those who lead you cause you to err, And destroy the way of your paths.” (Isaiah 3:12)

16 For the leaders of this people cause them to err, And those who are led by them are destroyed (Isaiah 9:16).

It should be clear that Isaiah prophesied that there would be end time leaders that cause people to err. This is what many politicians, directly and indirectly do.

The USA needs national repentance and the Kingdom of God.

Let me also add that, irrespective of who becomes the next president, by virtue of timing, that leader will be in a sense, apocalyptic. Meaning that steps will be taken by the next president that will help lead to the end of the USA. The ‘democratic’ system in the USA has a lot of corruption.

Turkey’s President Erdoğan is reported to be consolidating power:

Supporters of Turkey’s ruling and main opposition parties, usually bitter foes, were set to rally together on Sunday in support of democracy following a failed military coup as President Tayyip Erdogan tightens his grip on the country.

In another demonstration of unity after the coup, which was staged by a faction within the armed forces, the head of Turkey’s air force issued a rare statement stressing “absolute obedience” to the chief of the military General Staff. Some members of the air force were involved in the coup.

The chief of the military General Staff, Hulusi Akar, who was held hostage by the plotters on the night of July 15, condemned the plotters on Sunday as “cowards in uniform” who had greatly harmed the nation and the army.

Erdogan, who narrowly escaped capture and possible death during the attempted coup, has declared a state of emergency, allowing him to sign laws without prior parliamentary approval in a drive to root out supporters of the coup.

Critics of Erdogan fear he is using the abortive coup to wage an indiscriminate crackdown on dissent. Turkish authorities have suspended, detained or placed under investigation more than 60,000 soldiers, police, judges, teachers, civil servants and others in the past week. http://www.reuters.com/article/us-turkey-security-idUSKCN1040K7

Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has wanted more power for years.

Protestant prophecy speculator Joel Richardson made some comments about Tayyip Erdoğan and the end times:

“Whether we are speaking of the role of the nations in last days biblical prophecy, or merely examining current Middle East geopolitics from a secular analysis, understanding what is presently unfolding in Turkey is absolutely critical,” Richardson told WND. “For the past 20 years, American foreign policy has looked to Turkey as the model for what we would like to replicate throughout the region. Turkey, it was thought, was a model of success of a moderate Muslim nation.”

Richardson said the current history of Turkey is a graphic illustration of the failure of President Barack Obama’s policies when it comes to battling extremism in the Muslim world.

“In fact, it was the Turkish model that was the inspiration behind President Obama’s dramatic shift in American foreign policy in the Middle East,” Richardson said. “Rather than dealing with various military strongmen and Middle-Eastern dictators who could maintain control over their people, the Obama administration began to seek the ouster of these various autocrats and looked to replace them with what they viewed as moderate Islamist government. The results of course have been beyond devastating.

“Undeniably, it can be said that Obama’s (and by extension Hillary Clinton’s) designs for the Middle East have produced the absolute chaos that we are now seeing throughout the world. Not only has it led to hundreds of thousands of deaths, but also the global refugee crisis, and worst of all, the increasing radicalization of large swaths of the Sunni world. Further demonstrating the folly of the Obama model, it has been during the past eight years of his administration that even Turkey itself has emerged as one of the most potentially dangerous Islamist nations in the world.” …

“While no one can say for sure, my assessment is that while the coup attempt was legitimate, the ruling AKP party had foreknowledge of what was about to unfold and used it to their advantage,” said Richardson. “Within hours of the coup attempt, the AKP had already removed nearly 3,000 judges. Obviously, the lists were ready long before the coup attempt. Over the past couple of days, there have been over 10,000 various government or military officials either fired or arrested. Many have been noting the similarities of between the failed Turkish coup with the infamous Reichstag fire, which Adolph Hitler used as an excuse to purge his government of any potential dissenters. The comparison seems entirely fair.”

Richardson condemned reports which portrayed the defeat of the coup as a triumph for “democracy.” He observed AKP supporters did not chant slogans in support of freedom or liberty, but instead called “Allahu Akbar!”

“It is important to note that just ten years ago, shouts of the Arabic phrase ‘Allahu Akbar’ in Turkey, even among more Islamist Turks, would be extremely rare,” said Richardson. “Turks pride themselves in being above the barbaric and uncultured Arabs. No more. The popularity of overtly Islamist sentiment should be deeply troubling to the whole world.”

Richardson argues believers should be deeply concerned over these developments because there is an important prophetic significance to the rise of Islamist sentiment in what was once the Eastern Roman Empire.

“What is also fascinating to note is that within Islamic apocalyptic, there is a prophecy that says that Constantinople, (now called Istanbul) would be conquered by the Mahdi, not through military action, but simply through shouts of, ‘Takbir’ (Allahu Akbar),” Richardson told WND. “Surely for the increasingly apocalyptically minded Muslim world, this prophecy may be seen as having been fulfilled in our midst. Kemalism has finally breathed its last gasp. Turkey has fallen to the Islamists. While Joel Richardson may well be correct that Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan  wants to be the Caliph of the Muslim world, Erdoğan will not end up being the biblically prophesied King of the South (Daniel 11:40-43).

However, I will add that the first time my wife and I were in Turkey in 1990, a Turkish guide we had made it clear that Turkey felt that it should lead the Middle East again and that the world would be a better place if it did. Thus, it appears that various ones in Turkey have long wanted to again dominate the Islamic world (like Turkey did prior to WWI).

Since in the past, Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has indicated solidarity with the Muslim Brotherhood, let’s look at what that group wants to accomplish:

Al-Banna was chiefly responsible for formulating the policies of this association…the idea of universal muslim state was constantly implied due to the association’s focus on Islam. While strongly disapproving of local brands of Nationalism, particularly if they were Western-inspired and secularly-minded, Banna developed his vision of Pan-Islamic Nationalism, insisting that Islam and Nationalism were complementary, especially when the latter operated within the parameter of the Islamic truth, since, for the Muslim Brethren, Islam was of course both religion and state. Here we need to analyze what was the basic concept from which Hassan al-Banna initiated to establish such Islamic organization. Then we would also explore his thought of the causes of descend of Islamic society particularly in Egypt. However, his effort and works deserved great consideration of Islamic society in the revolution to the revival of Islamic state (Caliphate)…The Muslim Brethren…believe that the caliphate is a symbol of Islamic Union and an indication of the bonds between the nations of Islam. They see the caliphate and its re-establishment as a top priority, subsequently; an association of Muslims people should be set up, which would elect the imam”. (zhyntativ. What is the Muslim Brotherhood?
The world’s largest and most influential Islamist movement. Founded in Egypt in 1928, the group was originally focused on ridding the country of corrupting secular influences brought by British colonial rule. Over the years, it established branches and affiliates in many countries to promote traditional Sunni Islamic morals, social justice, and the eradication of poverty and corruption. “The Islamic nation,” its charter states, “must be fully prepared to fight the tyrants and the enemies of Allah as a prelude to establishing an Islamic state”—ideally a re-established caliphate, stretching from Spain across the Middle East and Central Asia to Indonesia, to be governed according to Islamic sharia law. The Muslim Brotherhood has been called the world’s oldest and largest Islamic political group and has been called the “world’s most influential Islamist movement” (http://english.aljazeera.net/indepth/2010/11/2010111681527837704.html)–it wants an Islamic caliphate (though some new group with similar goals could also form). The Muslim Brotherhood apparently wants as its top priority a pan-national Islamic caliphate ruled by an Imam. Many Muslims long for the rising up of a leader called the 12th Imam, often referred to as the Imam Mahdi. It will not end up with Spain if I understand certain aspects of Bible prophecy correctly, but the confederation of the final King of the South may go from around Western Sahara and/or Mauritania to Oman (with possible involvement and/or coordination with Afghanistan, Iran, Pakistan and/or Indonesia).

To bring enough Arab nations together, I have felt that some type of “strongman” needed to rise up.  One who Arabs would tend to respect–who might use or not use the title Imam Mahdi–and because of biblical prophecies (e.g. Daniel 11:41’s reference to Edom), I do not believe it will be a Turk.

As far as the Obama Administration goes, it has been often alleged that a key partner of Hillary Clinton, including when she was Secretary of State in the Obama Administration, was a supporter of the Muslim Brotherhood (Hillary Clinton, herself, has denied this). But irrespective of that, the Obama Administration has had ties to the Muslim Brotherhood and has alluded it to influence aspects of US foreign policy.

Eventually, according to biblical prophecy, a confederation of nations in the Middle East and North Africa will form, and it will (for a time) include Turkey (cf. Daniel 11:27, 40-43), and for a time, cooperate with Europe (cf. Daniel 9:27, 11:27; Psalm 83:3-8).

The Bible shows that an alliance involving Arab, Turkish, and European nations will make a destructive deal:

3 They have taken crafty counsel against Your people, And consulted together against Your sheltered ones. 4 They have said, “Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation, That the name of Israel may be remembered no more.” 5 For they have consulted together with one consent; They form a confederacy against You: 6 The tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites; Moab and the Hagrites; 7 Gebal, Ammon, and Amalek; Philistia with the inhabitants of Tyre; 8 Assyria also has joined with them; They have helped the children of Lot. (Psalms 83:3-8)

Notice that the Bible indicates that the Turks (who are not Arabs, but seem to be related to Edom in scripture) will make a deal with the rising European power (Assyria above), along with the Arabs and Turkey (Psalm 83). The ‘deal’ of Psalm 83 will not end well for the USA nor its Anglo-Saxon descended allies (see also Anglo – America in Prophecy & the Lost Tribes of Israel).

Now since the Bible shows that Edom escapes what happens to the King of the South in Daniel 11:40-43, despite a deal with the Arabs, Turkey is apparently not a going to be a strong supporter of the final King of the South for very long (which is why I do not believe a Turk, like its President Recep Tayyip Erdogan can possibly be the King of the South the Bible refers to). But apparently Turkey will be confederate with that power for a short while. But it looks prophesied to betray it (cf. Daniel 11:25-26, 41).

For now, we should expect to see Turkey will try to come up with arrangements with other Islamic nations as well as Europe.

Forbes’ Brexit Monster is the Beast of Revelation Various ones have been properly convinced that there is a plan for a European superstate. Are you familiar with Europe’s Large Hadron Collider operated by the European Center for Nuclear Research (Organisation Européenne pour la Recherche Nucléaire), which often calls itself CERN?

The following is at the website of CERN’s Large Hadron Collider:

The Large Hadron Collider (LHC) is the world’s largest and most powerful particle accelerator. It first started up on 10 September 2008, and remains the latest addition to CERN’s accelerator complex. The LHC consists of a 27-kilometre ring of superconducting magnets with a number of accelerating structures to boost the energy of the particles along the way.

Inside the accelerator, two high-energy particle beams travel at close to the speed of light before they are made to collide. The beams travel in opposite directions in separate beam pipes – two tubes kept at ultrahigh vacuum. They are guided around the accelerator ring by a strong magnetic field maintained by superconducting electromagnets. The electromagnets are built from coils of special electric cable that operates in a superconducting state, efficiently conducting electricity without resistance or loss of energy. This requires chilling the magnets to ‑271.3°C – a temperature colder than outer space.

The speeds and temperatures involved are impressive.

Here is some information from a scientific article dated September 2016 (which is not here yet, but some publications do that):

The Advanced Proton Driven Plasma Wakefield Acceleration Experiment (AWAKE) aims at studying plasma wakefield generation and electron acceleration driven by proton bunches. It is a proof-of-principle R&D experiment at CERN and the world׳s first proton driven plasma wakefield acceleration experiment. The AWAKE experiment will be installed in the former CNGS facility and uses the 400 GeV/c proton beam bunches from the SPS. The first experiments will focus on the self-modulation instability of the long (rms ~12 cm) proton bunch in the plasma. These experiments are planned for the end of 2016. … The installation of the AWAKE experiment is advancing well. (Gschwendtner E, et al. This project has made a lot of physics-related discoveries, and the ramifications of those it has already made have not been fully implemented yet. But this is a project that is giving Europe technologies that it expects to exploit in the future.

Years ago, a reader of this page got me to think about the CERN logo he sent me the following:

CERN’s logo is taken from the design of synchrotron particle accelerators. Originally the design was going to resemble the outline of a schematic of a synchrotron, but the problem with that, CERN’s logo would have looked like a black hole.

Not good.

So what we did with this logo design was remove a couple lines, shorten and angle a line in the opposite direction, off center it all, then add another circle with a line sticking up to help break up the original design. And that’s how CERN’s logo came to be.So please, people… your souls are safe… for now.

But there are only two loops for sixes–but this is still interesting.  CERN is the European Organization for Nuclear Research .  Now, neither he or I do not believe that CERN is the Beast or even 666.  But we apparently both do believe it is an interesting coincidence that something resembling 666 is its logo.

While I do not believe that CERN is the 666 that the Bible warns about, I expect it to be on the same side that 666 is on. I first pointed out the 666 connection to CERN when I posted about it on November 1, 2010 (see CERN logo is 666?).

What does all of this ultimately mean?

As far as what all this means, let me mainly state that I have warned since last decade that CERN’s Large Hadron Collider has the potential to put the Europeans ahead of the Americans in terms of physics as well as military spinoffs of new technologies.

It is interesting, to me at least, that the Shiva statue is outside of CERN’s headquarters. Here is some information about Shiva:

Why is the LHC research facility built in Switzerland and not elsewhere?

CERN itself was established in the early 1950’s, and there were some good reasons why it was put into Switzerland.

Because Switzerland is neutral that insured that CERN research could not be used for military purposes.

Swiss neutrality was an important reason why LHC continued to be funded and the US collider was cancelled.  Particle physics in the US has some close ties with the defense (i.e. Fermilab while non-military and non-classified was run through the same agency that ran Oak Ridge and Los Alamos), and when the Cold War ended, funding for HEP in the US was cut as was funding for the US collider.  Because CERN was from the beginning in neutral territory, it was largely unaffected by the end of the Cold War.  There’s also a rather strong anti-nuclear movement in Europe, and keeping it in Switzerland where the technology can’t be used for military purposes keeps CERN out of these political fights. https://www.quora.com/Why-is-the-LHC-research-facility-built-in-Switzerland-and-not-elsewhere

Being in Switzerland (and France) certainly does NOT prevent the militarization of what it produces. That is no guarantee at all.

Of course CERN issued a statement in which it assured everybody that its research lacks any potential for military applications and that the arrested suspect “had no contact with anything that could have been used for terrorism.”

So what was the link? Was it merely a scientist with political ties to this extremist terrorist organization? It seems more plausible that this person was interested in something going on within the CERN research. …

So is CERN a secret black budget military research program in disguise? Based upon its international links, this is highly unlikely. But as the physicists zero in on such highly elusive and potentially dangerous targets as the Higgs Boson, anti-matter and strangelets, we can be sure military eyes are watching closely.

Looking back in history, we are sure the German physicists Otto Hahn, Lise Meitner and Fritz Strassmann never foresaw their impact on world history when they split a uranium atom almost in half with a bombardment of neutrons, producing barium and krypton. Some were worried when the Large Hadron Collider was originally started up that the start-up could destroy the world–but on September 9, 2008 I wrote that was not possible (see September 10th is Not the End of the World).

But I also wrote on that date:

On the other hand, while it is touted as simply a scientific (and not a military) device, the LHC will likely give the Europeans some techological advantages that they will eventually be able to use as they seek to strength their military. And that is likely to help them when they decide it is time to launch a surprise attack on the USA, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.

Since the Bible is clear that the Beast power will have unique military advantage and the Europeans have the largest “super collider” in existence, it just may be that it will somehow lead the Europeans to get the type of military power that they are prophesied to have (cf. Revelation 13:4)

But again, the destruction of the Anglo-American powers cannot happen until at least 3 1/2 years from now, which would be no earlier than 2012. It will not be September 10, 2008. (Thiel B. September 10th is Not the End of the World, September 9, 2008).

In addition to the Large Hadron Collider, the German are planning a possibly even more advanced collider called FAIR (FAIR stands for the Facility for Antiproton and Ion Research). The FAIR project is in process of construction. Here is some information about it:

The Federal Republic of Germany together with the State of Hesse is the major contributor to the construction, the current nine international partners – Finland, France, India, Poland, Romania, Russia, Slovenia, Sweden and the United Kingdom – bear ca. 30% of the construction cost.

Basic research? Nuclear research could well be termed ‘basic research’ and we know what that has resulted in.

I believe that Germany’s FAIR, along with the LHC and other technology, like, perhaps, its helium fusion stellarator (see German helium fusion stellarator may help propel Europe to dominate the world), will help the Europeans produce military weaponry to fulfill certain end time prophecies.

Notice the following:

3 And I saw one of his heads as if it had been mortally wounded, and his deadly wound was healed. And all the world marveled and followed the beast. 4 So they worshiped the dragon who gave authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?” (Revelation 13:3-4)

The last portion of Revelation 13:4 is discussing what seems to be a unique type of warfare. Since this is an end time prophecy, this warfare likely includes certain high-tech weapons (such as electromagnetic pulse, neutron bombs, unique delivery systems, etc.) that will be effective for a while.

It should also be noted that the Bible shows that the end time European King of the North Beast power will destroy the USA as well as a confederation of lands that are currently Islamic:

39 He will attack the mightiest fortresses with the help of a foreign god and will greatly honor those who acknowledge him. He will make them rulers over many people and will distribute the land at a price. 40“At the time of the end the king of the South will engage him in battle, and the king of the North will storm out against him with chariots and cavalry and a great fleet of ships. He will invade many countries and sweep through them like a flood. 41 He will also invade the Beautiful Land. Many countries will fall, but Edom, Moab and the leaders of Ammon will be delivered from his hand. 42 He will extend his power over many countries; Egypt will not escape. 43 He will gain control of the treasures of gold and silver and all the riches of Egypt, with the Libyans and Cushites in submission. (Daniel 11:39-43, NIV)

Technology would seem to have to be a factor in the ability of Europe to defeat the land with the mighiest fortresses–which in the 21st century is the USA.

As far as military applications go, this European LHC project has been heavily focused on various small particles and subatomic items, including antimatter.  When the Large Hadron Collider was in its infancy, many scientists doubted that antimatter could be produced and captured. But the LHC disproved that as it was able to produce and store antimatter.

In May of 2009, Dan Brown’s movie, Angels & Demons, had antimatter captured from part of CERN ‘s Large Hadron Collider. Now it has happened in real life:

CERN scientists have now been able to isolate unstable antimatter for a grand total of nearly 17 minutes. That’s a far cry from experiments performed last fall, when scientists were only able to record the presence of antimatter for fractions of seconds. The increased longevity should now give researchers the time they need to perform studies on antiatoms related to change-parity-time reversal (CPT) symmetry.  http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2386429,00.asp

In the movie, which I saw in Arroyo Grande (California), antimatter played an important role. In Angels & Demons. someone stole captured antimatter from CERN’s Large Hadron Collider on the behalf of one trying to be an antipope.  Many considered antimatter only existing in science fiction, or at best only existing for a fraction of a second.  Yet, it is considered to be a fact of science–and can exist for significant amounts of time (it is my understanding that CERN stopped holding it after 17 minutes, not that 17 minutes is the limit to its existence).

As far as antimatter goes, here are some comments from NASA:

Antimatter is real stuff, not just science fiction. Antimatter is firmly in the realm of science with some aspects even entering the technology realm. There is also a lot of speculation about what one might do with antimatter.

What is Antimatter?

Antimatter is matter with its electrical charge reversed. Anti-electrons, called “positrons,” are like an electron but with a positive charge. Antiprotons are like protons with a negative charge. Positron, antiprotons and other antiparticles can be routinely created at particle accelerator labs, such as CERN in Europe, and can even be trapped and stored for days or weeks at a time. And… they made antihydrogen for the first time. It didn’t last long, but they did it.

It costs far more energy to create antimatter than the energy one could get back from an antimatter reaction. … Something to keep in mind, too, is that antimatter reactions – where antimatter and normal matter collide and release energy, require the same safety precautions as needed with nuclear reactions. http://www.nasa.gov/centers/glenn/technology/warp/antistat.html

Notice that NASA acknowledges that CERN with its LHC has produced and stored antimatter, that antimatter collection is expensive, and that antimatter is dangerous. And it is something that Europe has decided to continue to research and produce.

In 1928, British physicist Paul Dirac wrote down an equation that combined quantum theory and special relativity to describe the behaviour of an electron moving at a relativistic speed. The equation – which won Dirac the Nobel prize in 1933 …

Dirac interpreted the equation to mean that for every particle there exists a corresponding antiparticle, exactly matching the particle but with opposite charge. For the electron there should be an “antielectron”, for example, identical in every way but with a positive electric charge. The insight opened the possibility of entire galaxies and universes made of antimatter.

But when matter and antimatter come into contact, they annihilate – disappearing in a flash of energy. …

Now if the Large Hadron Collider does have military potential, which I have long indicated that it does, all should understand that it is likely that the Europeans and not the Americans will benefit from it.  That will probably also include items related to its claimed find of pentaquarks. As well as possibly quark-gluon plasma, sometimes called strangelets, various particles, dark matter, dark energy, and observations of how certain things act/react (more on these items can be found in the article The Large Hadron Collider has Military Potential).

The FAIR and the LHC projects are also likely to spin-off economic benefits that may help propel Europe to be (for a short while) the economic leader of the world (cf. Revelation 18). If Europe did not believe it would be getting benefits, it would not have started and then expanded the LHC.

Ultimately, the Europeans will be overcome by what appears to be a Russian-led, mainly Asian, confederation, cf. Jeremiah 50:41-43 & Daniel 11:44, possibly by exploiting some technological flaw, like creating a software virus, etc., while also amassing troops, etc.

The Large Hadron Collider is helping Europe get to the point it will have the technology it will need to temporarily ‘rule’ the world. There have been interesting developments from it so far and more are expected.

According to the Bible, Europe will become militarized (Revelation 13:4; Daniel 11:39-44) and the Large Hadron Collider certainly may be a factor in fulfilling biblical prophecies.

Clinton ended a monthslong search for a running mate with a Friday evening phone call to the senator from Virginia, the state’s former governor and mayor of Richmond. Long viewed as a likely choice to partner with Clinton, he is a fluent Spanish speaker with a reputation for working with Republicans. …

Kaine’s strong ties to politically important Virginia, as well as his foreign policy experience, put him over the top, according to a person close to the campaign, who insisted on anonymity because the person was not authorized to discuss the process publicly.

He also had a particularly powerful backer: President Barack Obama, who advised Clinton’s campaign during the selection process that Kaine would be a strong choice.

Abortion activist Hillary Clinton today tapped pro-abortion Virginia Senator Tim Kaine has her vice-presidential running mate.

The Virginia politician is on record as trying to have it both ways — saying he is both a “traditional Catholic” and a strong supporter of abortion. Kaine has a pro-abortion record and the potential Clinton running mate is not following anyone. As LifeNews previously reported, Kaine said he is a “strong supporter of Roe v. Wade”  despite supposedly being a “traditional Catholic.”

“I have a traditional Catholic personal position, but I am very strongly supportive that women should make these decisions and government shouldn’t intrude,” Kaine said. “I’m a strong supporter of Roe v. Wade and women being able to make these decisions. In government, we have enough things to worry about. Tim Kaine is fluent in Spanish and spoke publicly in that language after he was announced. It is likely that Hillary Clinton believes that a Spanish speaking running mate who calls himself Roman Catholic will appeal to not only Hispanics, but to others who are Roman Catholic as well as perhaps some Protestants.

As far as being a “traditional” Roman Catholic, Tim Kaine’s views on homosexual marriage are not in line with the position of that church:

In 2006, Kaine campaigned against an amendment to the Virginia State Constitution to bar same-sex marriage, and in March 2013, Kaine announced his support of same-sex marriage, saying “I believe all people, regardless of sexual orientation, should be guaranteed the full rights to the legal benefits and responsibilities of marriage under the Constitution.”

In the Senate, Kaine has co-sponsored the Employment Non-Discrimination Act, which would bar employment discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation. (Tim Kaine. Wikipedia, accessed 07/23/16)

Although parts of the press want to portray Tim Kaine as a “moderate,” various of his positions are clearly opposed to the Bible. Tim Kaine has stated that he is personally against abortion, yet certain others see his votes and tolerance of abortion as a contradiction to his supposed personal beliefs.

If the Clinton/Kaine ticket wins, and the Great Tribulation begins before its first or potentially second term ends, I would suspect that Tim Kaine will end up having to replace Hillary Clinton.

Why?

Because if the following biblical prophecy has an end-time fulfillment, it seems to suggest that a male leader will be in charge when the USA falls:

7 As for Samaria, her king is cut off Like a twig on the water. 8 Also the high places of Aven, the sin of Israel, Shall be destroyed. The thorn and thistle shall grow on their altars; They shall say to the mountains, “Cover us!” And to the hills, “Fall on us!” … 10 When it is My desire, I will chasten them. Peoples shall be gathered against them When I bind them for their two transgressions. (Hosea 10:7,8,10)

If Hosea 10:7-10 has end time connotations (and part of it seems to, cf. Revelation 6:16), AND presuming that the Hebrew word translated as ‘”king” literally means a male, then it would not seem to be possible that Hillary Clinton could be the last President/leader of the United States. However, since she has chosen a male for Vice-President, Tim Kaine possibly could be the last.

Some will believe that the Clinton/Kaine ticket is the answer to the issues in the USA.

Others will believe it is Trump/Pence.

Neither ticket truly holds to biblical morality.

But the real answer is the Kingdom of God.

Americans are about as wealthy as they’ve ever been—and that’s a worry?

Yup, say veteran economists Daniel Thornton and Joe Carson. They’re concerned that the swelling of wealth could prove unsustainable because it’s far outstripped the growth of the economy since the recession’s end in 2009.

Thornton, who spent 33 years at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis before retiring in 2014, says in effect that we’ve seen this picture before. Household net worth ballooned in the late 1990’s and the early 2000’s; in the first instance pumped up by rising stock prices, in the second by expanding home values. The economy of the USA is more fragile than many realize.

Housing prices and the stock market have benefited greatly from the low interest rates of the US Federal Reserve, as well as from the various ‘quantitative easing’ (legal counterfeiting) from the Federal Reserve as well as the increasing US government spending (with its increased accumulation of debt pledges).

Some day, that will contribute not to simply the popping of a bubble for the wealthy, but will be so much worse. It is so bad that those who hear the prophecy for the appointed time of the end are warned to run:

2 Then the Lord answered me and said:

“Write the vision
And make it plain on tablets,
That he may run who reads it.
3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time;
But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie.
Though it tarries, wait for it;
Because it will surely come,
It will not tarry. (Habakkuk 2:2-3)

So, notice who this prophecy points to as well as how bad it will get:

6 “Will not all these take up a proverb against him,
And a taunting riddle against him, and say,
‘Woe to him who increases
What is not his — how long?
And to him who loads himself with many pledges’?
7 Will not your creditors rise up suddenly?
Will they not awaken who oppress you?
And you will become their booty.
8 Because you have plundered many nations,
All the remnant of the people shall plunder you,
Because of men’s blood
And the violence of the land and the city,
And of all who dwell in it. (Habakkuk 2:6-8)

The USA has greatly loaded itself “with many pledges” (treasury bills and bonds).

It has also diluted the value of its currency by producing it without real backing.

This diluting of the value of currency (called ‘dross’ anciently) is condemned in the Bible.

4 Take away the dross from silver (Proverbs 25:4a).

22 Your silver has become dross, Your wine mixed with water. (Isaiah 1:22)

25 I will turn My hand against you, And thoroughly purge away your dross, And take away all your alloy. (Isaiah 1:25)

18 “Son of man, the house of Israel has become dross to Me; they are all bronze, tin, iron, and lead, in the midst of a furnace; they have become dross from silver. 19 Therefore thus says the Lord God: ‘Because you have all become dross, therefore behold, I will gather you into the midst of Jerusalem. 20 As men gather silver, bronze, iron, lead, and tin into the midst of a furnace, to blow fire on it, to melt it; so I will gather you in My anger and in My fury, and I will leave you there and melt you. 21 Yes, I will gather you and blow on you with the fire of My wrath, and you shall be melted in its midst. 22 As silver is melted in the midst of a furnace, so shall you be melted in its midst; then you shall know that I, the Lord, have poured out My fury on you.’” (Ezekiel 22:18-22)

Although the Bible warns against using dross and diluting the money supply, modern ‘experts’ have a different view. The wrong views on economics will lead to economic problems and ultimately the total crash of the dollar of the USA.

The Bible also warns the rich about something that could be called a ‘wealth bubble’ in the last days, though it does not use that term:

17 Command those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty, nor to trust in uncertain riches but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy. (1 Timothy 6:17-18)

19 “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal;  20 but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal.  21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. (Matthew 6:19-21)

1 Come now, you rich, weep and howl for your miseries that are coming upon you!  2 Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are moth-eaten. 3 Your gold and silver are corroded, and their corrosion will be a witness against you and will eat your flesh like fire. You have heaped up treasure in the last days. (James 5:1-3)

There are disastrous changes that will come to the USA (Daniel 11:39; Habakkuk 2:6-8).

Wealth will essentially be taken away from those who will remain in the USA after the start of the coming Great Tribulation (the same will essentially hold true for those in Canada, Great Britain, Australia, and New Zealand).

WASHINGTON—In his first speech Thursday night as the official Republican nominee for U.S. president, Donald Trump struck a tone of urgency regarding recent violent events in the U.S. and billed himself as a truth-teller in saying that under a Trump presidency the country would be one of “law and order.”

“Our Convention occurs at a moment of crisis for our nation. The attacks on our police, and the terrorism in our cities, threaten our very way of life. Any politician who does not grasp this danger is not fit to lead our country,” he said.

In the wide-ranging speech, Trump also hit on his plans to fight Islamic State and other terrorist organizations inside America’s borders and throughout the world. Trump cut against the Republican Party grain in calling for an end to multilateral trade deals, advocating for the rights of the LGBTQ community and espousing a non-interventionist policy when dealing with international crises.

“As your President, I will do everything in my power to protect our LGBT citizens from the violence and oppression of a hateful foreign ideology. To protect us from terrorism, we need to focus on three things,” Trump said.

Though Donald Trump professes Christianity, he has publicly stated that he has not repented or asked God for forgiveness.  Yet, I heard Jerry Falwell, Jr. try to explain over the radio why he felt Donald Trump was a Christian. Whatever religion Donald Trump holds, it most certainly is not the Christianity of the Bible.

As far as the LGBT (Lesbian-Gay-Bisexual-Transexual) crowd goes, the Bible denounces their agenda:

9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,  10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.  (1 Corinthians 6:9-10, KJV)

22 You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It is an abomination.  (Leviticus 18:22)

13 If a man lies with a male as he lies with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination. (Leviticus 20:13)

5 A woman shall not wear anything that pertains to a man, nor shall a man put on a woman’s garment, for all who do so are an abomination to the Lord your God. (Deuteronomy 22:5)

26 For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. 27 Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.

‘Apocalypse now?’ What Europe’s media thought of the Trump speech

Capping a four-day convention in Cleveland, the billionaire businessman and reality TV star said he “humbly and gratefully” accepted the Republican presidential nomination.

Europe’s most powerful nation was not too impressed, with newspapers in Germany generally noting that there was little humility in the one hour and 16 minutes Trump addressed the convention making it the longest speech in 44 years. …

So it was on Friday, with even Europe’s conservative press critical of Trump’s key messages. Germany’s center-right, conservative Die Welt newspaper noted that Trump’s message was “apocalyptic” and “bleak”: “The speech was populist through and through and offered no solutions,” the newspaper said, adding that it lacked “elegance, humor, self-irony.”

Is it wrong to pray for oneself? about how to make “ends meet”? about how to overcome? Just what should one pray about?

MANY do not know what to pray about. We are often asked, “What can I pray about?” Some say, “I ask God to forgive, to guide and direct me. I ask God to bless the work, the ministers, and the Church. What else is there to pray about?”

Acknowledge God

The Bible makes plain that the FIRST STEP in learning what to pray about is to realize WHOM we are praying to.

Did you take time today to get down on your knees and become acquainted, in prayer, with God? Or are you waiting for the right “feeling”? the right mood? Are you, day after day, “putting off” praying until tomorrow because you do not think of anything to pray about? — because you just don’t feel comfortable praying to God?

Notice what Jesus instructed His disciples to pray about when they asked him to teach them to pray. Jesus said — as quoted in archaic English in the King James Version, “When ye pray, say, OUR FATHER which art in heaven, hallowed be thy name” (Luke 11:1-2).

We must first acknowledge the greatness of our HEAVENLY Father. Our faith increases when we realize that what He has promised He can and will perform! He is the God of Heaven — the Ruler of the whole universe.

Abraham strengthened his faith by giving glory to God. “He grew strong in his faith as he gave glory to God, fully convinced that God was able to do what he had promised” (Rom. 4:20-21, R.S.V.).

David was a praying man. David constantly gave glory and praise to God. His last public prayer is given in the Bible and is an excellent example of how to give God Glory and Honor — of what to pray about, “BLESSED are thou, LORD God of Israel our FATHER, for ever and ever. Thine, O LORD is the GREATNESS, and the POWER, and the GLORY, and the VICTORY, and the MAJESTY; for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the KINGDOM, O LORD, and thou art EXALTED as HEAD ABOVE ALL. Both RICHES and HONOR come from thee, and thou RULEST over all … In thy hand it is to make GREAT and to GIVE STRENGTH to all. And now therefore, our God, we THANK THEE, and PRAISE thy glorious name” (I Chron. 29:10-13).

Do you glorify the majesty, the power, and the wisdom of God in prayer?

After you have praised and honored God and hallowed His Holy name then you pray —

“Thy Will Be Done”

Notice carefully that Christ next set us the example to pray: “Thy Kingdom come, THY WILL be done on earth as it is in heaven” (Mat. 6:10).

What IS God’s Will for this earth? We can know! God makes it clear in His Word what His Will is.

In Mat. 24:14 we read: “This gospel of the Kingdom SHALL be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations.” This one verse teaches a great deal about HIS WILL.

HOW is this work of preaching and publishing the Gospel to all the world being done? It is through the “World Tomorrow” broadcast, the PLAIN TRUTH, the GOOD NEWS, the CORRESPONDENCE COURSE, the BOOKLETS, the advertising in READER’S DIGEST, the Letter Answering Department, the evangelistic campaigns, the baptizing tours, the local visiting teams, even through the Ambassador College ENVOY — and especially through EACH and EVERY minister of God.

Are you praying for the success and effectiveness of ALL THESE THINGS? It is GOD’S WILL that you do!

Pray for the “World Tomorrow” broadcast. Pray that each time it goes out over the air new people will be caused to listen to it. Pray that doors to reach each section of the world, not now being reached at this time, will be opened.

Pray that God will train and send out laborers to reap the harvest of interested listeners of the “World Tomorrow” broadcast (Mat. 9:38). Pray that God will send the right students to Ambassador College, men and women who have the ability and talents and the submissiveness that He can use in His Work. Don’t forget to pray that the students who are already in Ambassador College may bear more fruit.

Pray for the co-worker letters, that God will lay it on the hearts of the readers to support this WORK with their prayers, their tithes and their offerings.

And how long do you think it would take you to pray for each and every minister, carefully, diligently? Ask God to give them the power of His Holy Spirit, His knowledge, His wisdom, that He might use them as instruments through whom He nourishes the flock He has chosen. Ask God to use them to preach from the scripture the words that are “profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness” (II Tim. 3:16).

Don’t pray these exact words. Jesus didn’t say: “Pray this.” He said “Pray thus!” Build upon and expand these suggestions. You can think of many other things to pray about when interceding for God’s ministers.

These are but a few examples, a small beginning of things to pray for. You can think of many others.

Praying for each phase of the work is important. In fact, the very existence of the work of God depends upon your prayers.

For example: When we pray that God lay it on the hearts of the people of this country to send tithes and offerings to support the cost of preaching and publishing this Gospel message to the entire world, it is His WILL to honor that prayer. He goes into action. He directly intervenes in the very lives of the people of this country and MAKES them send in more money than they would have otherwise. Thus, through daily prayer you add to the list in heaven of those you are helping to lead down the path that leads to eternal life. Your reward is certain.

PRAYER is YOUR ministry. Lack of prayer will keep you out of the Kingdom of God! God expects you to do your part. That is His will.

“Give Us Our Daily Bread”

Did you know your DAILY BREAD is dual?

Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger” (John 6:35). Come to God through daily prayer and Bible study and He will supply your DAILY spiritual needs. You have more daily need of spiritual food than even of physical food — but God here promises you both, if you will only ask Him.

Why is it that some who know God wants to supply us daily with all our needs immediately begin to ask God for things that satisfy the lust of the flesh. Their prayers are usually very short and filled with I’s, me’s and mine’s. It’s “God give me this” and “God give me that.” “Ye ask,” retorts James, “and receive NOT, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts” (James 4:2).

“Forgive Us”

Jesus also said to ask God to “forgive us our trespasses [or debts], as we forgive our trespassers [or debtors]” (Mat. 6:12).

Have you asked God to forgive your every sin, your every shortcoming, your every weakness, your every stumbling — and those of others? Do we ALSO forgive our debtors — those who offend us?

We MUST forgive everyone who has stepped on our toes, everyone who has offended us, everyone who has wronged us in any way whatsoever. God forgives us only as we forgive others! Remember that forgiving means forgetting. Yet we know that in some local churches there are people who CANNOT BE FORGIVEN by God because they still REFUSE to forgive their brethren. Brethren, this must not continue!

And finally He said, “Lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil.”

God tempts no man. “Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed” (James 1:13-14). Watch and pray that you be not drawn away by lusts and enter into temptation (Mat. 26:41). Watch, keep awake. When wrong thoughts begin to come into your mind, FLEE QUICKLY to God in prayer. Put your trust in Him. Or else God will allow you to stumble in temptation till you learn to put your whole life in God’s hands.

We are not to pray this sample prayer that Jesus gave — word for word. We are to use it as an outline for our daily prayers. Few realize that Jesus also gave innumerable OTHER DETAILS to pray about in His Word. These all MAGNIFY the main principles mentioned in His outline of prayer. They should all be fitted into the pattern Jesus gave the disciples. We are instructed to pray for those in authority (I Tim. 2:1-3), for our enemies, for those who persecute us (Mat. 5:44); for the brethren (Eph. 6:18); that we may escape the things to come (Luke 21:36); for the sick and afflicted (James 5:14-16); for your own requests (Phil. 4:6); for the ministry (II Thess. 3:1); and for the churches (Eph. 1:16; Col. 1:3; Philemon 4; I Thess. 1:2).

Pray for Ourselves?

Of course! But not for ourselves only. If your prayers include others and theirs include you, think how many prayers are said ON YOUR BEHALF! But if you are selfish and pray only for yourself — and everyone else did the same — then ONLY YOU would be praying for yourself.

A student at Ambassador College discovered quite by accident the amazing principle that the Law of Love is a Living Law. He had tried to overcome a certain weakness but had failed again and again. He felt miserable and dejected.

A friend revealed that he too was having trouble overcoming the very same temptation. This student felt so miserable himself that he hastened to go and pray EARNESTLY for his friend. He said, “Oh, God, don’t let my friend be as weak and rotten as I am. Strengthen him, take this temptation from him.”

This student was amazed to discover that after having prayed for his friend, his own overpowering weakness left him! It was suddenly as if this temptation no longer existed.

This student learned that when one has some sin he is unable to overcome, if he will pray for all others who have, or even might have the same weakness, the God of Love rewards him for praying for His OTHER children.

Try it. Pray for all the men and women in the Church who have, or who even might have — the same overpowering temptation you have and see for yourself that God will reward you for showing Love to His OTHER children by strengthening you. He can and will remove your temptation from you.

Remember, if you pray for others, and all the others pray for you and others, think how much more help you have than if you alone prayed for just your problem.

Therefore pray that God will imbue us all with His Holy Spirit (Luke 11:13). Ask God for the gift of repentance so all can overcome sin. Ask God for wisdom (James 1:5), power, understanding, and knowledge.

Pray that God will implant in His people the DESIRE to study and pray until all are filled with the Spirit of God, with understanding and a true sense of values.

When you read the Bible and don’t understand a verse — that is something to pray about. If you are falling short of obeying His instruction — that is something to pray about. For some of you there are almost as many things to pray about as there are verses in the Bible!

Don’t just limit the things you pray about to the points mentioned in this article. Ask God to show you what else HE wants YOU to pray for. HE will show you IN HIS WORD many other things to pray about.

Whatever you do don’t let your prayer become a mere ritual, a vain repetition. Be diligent. Be persistent. Prayer and Bible Study must be first in your life, or you are putting something else before God. We receive what we ask of God “because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in His sight” (I John 3:22).

Prayer has to become heartfelt — full of thanksgiving, praise and joy. It should be a spontaneous and natural talking to God. The more you pray, the more you will understand how to pray.

God KNOWS that many of you faithful brethren are praying. He also KNOWS that others have not prayed as they should.

God’s ministers have said, “YOU ARE CONVERTED TO THE DEGREE THAT YOU PRAY FOR GOD’S WORK!”

If you have been PUTTING OFF prayer until tomorrow DO something now. Force yourself to begin to study and pray. Don’t put off your own salvation!

There was an Islamic terrorist group foiled in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil today:

RIO DE JANEIRO (AP) — Ten Brazilians who pledged allegiance to the Islamic State militant group were arrested Thursday, authorities announced, describing them as “amateurs” who discussed on social media the possibility of staging attacks during next month’s Olympics.

Justice Minister Alexandre de Moraes said in the capital, Brasilia, that the 10 were being held on two terrorism-related charges and that two more people were being sought.

Authorities said any attack plan would have had little chance of coming to fruition, citing the group’s lack of resources and skills.

But officials and security experts argued that police were justified in being aggressive in light of “lone wolf” attacks staged in the U.S. and Europe by men with little or no training.

Moraes said police acted because the group discussed using weapons and guerrilla tactics to potentially launch an attack during the Olympics, which begin in Rio de Janeiro on Aug. 5. The Summer Olympics is a high-profile event. It is good that the authorities arrested those who wanted to cause terror.

Of course, not all terror will be stopped in this age as terror is prophesied:

25 The sword shall destroy outside; There shall be terror within (Deuteronomy 32:25)

12 “Cry and wail, son of man; For it will be against My people, Against all the princes of Israel. Terrors including the sword will be against My people; Therefore strike your thigh. (Ezekiel 21:12) 12 Behold, these are the ungodly,Who are always at ease; They increase in riches…19 Oh, how they are brought to desolation, as in a moment! They are utterly consumed with terrors. (Psalms 73:12,19)

25 Because you disdained all my counsel, And would have none of my rebuke, 26 I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your terror comes, 27 When your terror comes like a storm, And your destruction comes like a whirlwind, When distress and anguish come upon you. (Proverbs 1:25-27)

Many, though not most, Muslims believe that terrorism is something to be utilized to bring about the type of change that many want.

And they can point to their religious writings and leaders for ‘justification.’

The above seems to suggest that you act like ordinary neighbors for a time and then react against them.

This seems to have happened with the terrorist killings in San Bernadino, California:

The San Bernardino shooters who were killed by police, Syed Rizwan Farook and Tashfeen Malik, have been identified by law enforcement as a Muslim husband and wife team who began their day by dropping their 6–month–old baby at a family member’s home, saying they were headed out to a doctor’s appointment. http://www.wnd.com/2015/12/dead-shooter-idd-devout-muslim-syed-farook/

They were Muslims who lied. The male shooter had been arguing with a man at an office Christmas party that Islam was not violent. He then left and killed people, including the one he tried to tell that Islam was not violent.

Is this consistent with Islam?

Notice the following Islamic teachings related to deceit and terror from the Bukhari:

Bukhari 3,49,857 Muhammad said, “A man who brings peace to the people by making up good words or by saying nice things, though untrue, does not lie.”

Bukhari 4,52,267 Muhammad cried out, “Jihad is deceit.”

Bukhari 5,59,369 Bin Maslama volunteered to kill an enemy for Muhammad, then said, “Give me permission to deceive him with lies so that my plot will succeed.” Muhammad replied, “You may speak falsely to him.”

Bukhari 8,78,618 Abu Bakr, the prophet Muhammad’s closest friend and adviser and first convert to Islam, said, “If I make a pledge and later discover a more worthy pledge, then I will take the better action and make amends for my earlier promise.” (As published in Boone P. Bukhari 4,52:220, Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah’s Apostle said, “I have been sent with the shortest expressions bearing the widest meanings, and I have been made victorious with terror (Translation of Sahih Bukhari, Book 52: Fighting for the Cause of Allah (Jihaad). Murder and bearing false witness are wrong and in violation of the Ten Commandments (see also The Ten Commandments Reflect Love, Breaking them is Evil).

These prophetic traditions, or hadith, were collected by the Persian Muslim scholar Muhammad al-Bukhari, after being transmitted orally for generations. In other words, trusted collections of Islamic written traditions says that Muslims should lie and kill.  Well, unless all Muslims will denounce  these writings, people should realize the dangers that their religion poses.

It is not that all Muslims want to be terrorists (or that all terrorists are Muslim), and my personal encounters with Muslims have always been positive, but the faith that many Western politicians (including the most recent Republican and Democrat US presidents) have in Islam by referring to it as a “religion of peace” is simply not peaceful according to some of its trusted writings.

Terrorism is not going to bring about real peace.  And, thankfully at least some hopeful terrorists were stopped in Brazil.
