The weekend of October 17–18 brought some of the worst urban violence France has seen in decades. The Interior Ministry reported nearly 2,400 arrests on Saturday alone and almost 1,000 police officers and gendarmes injured, seven seriously. Paris police made a record 855 arrests in the capital. Rioters burned the 143-year-old town hall in Limoges, broke into Marseille’s city hall and defaced it, torched the tourist office in Lyon, and invaded the prefect’s residence in Bordeaux. France’s Retail and Trade Federation estimated that around 1,500 businesses were damaged, with losses in the hundreds of millions of euros. …

The flag that kept appearing

The demands were economic, but the imagery told a different story. The Jewish Telegraphic Agency reported that Palestinian flags and keffiyehs were a recurring motif in most of the violent protests, vandalism, and looting. On Paris’s Boulevard des Capucines, “Free Gaza” was scrawled across a shop’s security shutter. In Lyon, “Free Palestine” graffiti appeared beside smashed storefronts. On Sunday, an AFP photographer captured a man in a keffiyeh hurling a bicycle onto a street fire in Paris.

In Marseille, Bruno Benjamin, president of the Marseille-Provence branch of CRIF, the umbrella body of French Jewish institutions, reported that many marchers carried Palestinian flags and chanted “Intifada,” the Arabic word for “uprising” and the name given to the two waves of Palestinian terror that began in 1987 and 2000, which included suicide bombings, shootings and stabbings. …

A masked rioter in Paris held up a handwritten sign on Saturday that read “Stop gassing us, we are not Jews.” … Palestinian flags worn by many rioters. Germany’s Jüdische Allgemeine, reporting on a video of the scene circulated by a French Jewish news channel, called it undisguised Jew-hatred using social protest as its cover. … French Jews are reading the signs the same way. More than 4,000 have moved to Israel so far this year, the highest pace in a decade. The police may still be weighing whether a shop in Marseille burned by accident or by design. The banner in the street says bread. The flag beside it says intifada. The sign in the rioter’s hands says gas the Jews. Zemmour: French Riots Show “True Face Of The Great Replacement”

A synagogue in Paris was ransacked, and Jewish-owned shops in Marseille were set ablaze over the weekend as cost-of-living protests across France erupted into the country’s worst riots in decades, marked by Palestinian flags and chants of “Intifada.” Vandals broke into the temporary sanctuary of the Ohalei Yaakov congregation on Rue Burnouf in Paris’s 19th arrondissement overnight Saturday, scattering prayer books and tefillin (phylacteries) across the floor and searching the rabbi’s office. In Marseille, home to one of Europe’s largest Jewish communities, the head of the local Jewish umbrella organization called for a state of emergency and the deployment of the army.

French right-wing politician Éric Zemmour said Sunday that violent protests and looting the previous day revealed “the true face of the Great Replacement,” citing Palestinian, Algerian and Moroccan flags among demonstrators and alleging ties to antifascist groups and left-wing lawmakers.

During an appearance on French news network LCI, Zemmour said: “What we saw yesterday is the true face of the Great Replacement. It has an appearance: hordes of North African and African barbarians who rampage through cities.”

It has its flags: Palestinian, Algerian and Moroccan. It has its allies, Antifa militias. It has its legal backing, the LFI deputies. It has a mode of operation: looting, raids. And finally, I would say it has an ideological, historical engine: hatred of France and revenge for colonization.”

Zemmour, a former journalist and author who leads the Reconquête party, has long promoted the “Great Replacement,” which he uses to describe native European populations being demographically supplanted by non-European immigrants, particularly from Muslim-majority countries, Africa, and Asia. Rising fuel costs, discontent with the state of schools, declining public services and a housing crisis are fueling an autumn of protests in Europe.

Crowds have protested for weeks in major cities, with some demonstrations marked by arrests, looting, injuries and violence across France, Italy and Albania. In Spain and Portugal, tent camps have sprung up to protest unaffordable housing.

Young Europeans are experiencing “a strong sense of uncertainty and a lack of control,” said María Silvestre, professor of sociology at the University of Deusto in Spain. “And when specific situations come together, a spark suddenly ignites that is capable of channeling that discontent and driving people into the streets.”

Protesting has been called France’s national sport. So it can be easy to ignore the past weekend’s unrest in Paris and other major cities. But this is much bigger than France’s standard weekend.

• Police made 2,300 arrests.
• Almost 1,000 security personnel were injured.
• Around 1,500 businesses were looted or vandalized.
• In Limoges, over 200 miles from Paris, the 19th-century town hall burned down.

Revelation 17 is just one of many Bible prophecies that describe this coming superpower. It says 10 kings will give their strength and power to one empire (verses 12-13). PCG is correct that one day Europe will reorganize and power will be turned over to a “strongman.”

In Revelation 17, the Bible prophesies:

12 “The ten horns which you saw are ten kings who have received no kingdom as yet, but they receive authority for one hour as kings with the beast. 13 These are of one mind, and they will give their power and authority to the beast.  (Revelation 17:12-13)

Notice that these ten kings have no kingdom, but are to attain one. Thus, this is not discussing ten currently existing nations–this is NOT a prophecy saying that the Beast power will control Europe whittled down to 10 nations. This prophecy is a type of reorganization which begins with verse 12. And basically a type of major or great reset (see also Is a Great Reset Coming?).

Notice that those kings did not have power until verse 12. After some type of reorganization in Europe, they do.

Then they give their power to the Beast in verse 13. That will be a second reorganization.

The Beast is the one who was the prince of Daniel 9:26 (see also The ‘Peace Deal’ of Daniel 9:27). He is also the seventh king of Revelation 17:10, and becomes so with the fulfillment of Revelation 17:13. As far as the identity of the sixth king of Revelation 17:10, check out the article: The European Union and the Seven Kings of Revelation 17.

The “beast” is not shown to have much power prior to Revelation 17:12-13. This beast would seem to have Assyrian roots per Isaiah 10:5-11, and hence would likely be someone from Germany or Austria (see also Germany in Biblical and Roman Catholic Prophecy). This turnover power to him results in a dictatorship–likely similar to the one led by Adolf Hitler (see also European Unity to be like Hitler?).

Again notice that Revelation 17:12-13 does NOT say that ten existing nations will give their power to the Beast, but that ten kings who had not had a kingdom will get power and transfer it. This , means that a political/structural shift is expected to happen in Europe.

PCG  is right that Europe will change. Yet, groups like PCG who assert that the Beast will only control 10 currently existing nations in Europe are in error.

That said, yes, the protests in France and elsewhere in Europe are setting the stage which will one day result in the rise of the dictatorial Beast.
