Many Christadelphian Doctrines are Not Philadelphian Christian Ones

Received an unsolicited email containing an interview related to doctrines of the group called Christadelphians. Here is some of what had in it:

Christadelphian Doctrines

Jack Zavada:  “Christadelphians hold several beliefs that differ from traditional Christian denominations. They reject the Trinity doctrine and believe that Jesus Christ was a man. They do not mingle with other Christians, maintaining that they possess the truth and have no interest in ecumenism. Members of this religion do not vote, do not run for political office, or engage in war.”

Steve Marlowe Commentary: There is indeed no biblical support for the Trinity in the Bible; therefore, I am not a Trinitarian.  History provides no evidence that First-Century Christians believed in the Trinity.  “There is no evidence that the apostles of Jesus ever heard of the Trinity — at any rate from Him” (H.G. Wells, The Outline of History, Vol. 2, p. 499, 1920).  “It is indeed true that the name ‘Trinity’ is nowhere to be found in the Holy Scriptures, but has been conceived and invented by man” (The Sermons of Martin Luther, Vol. 3, p. 406, 1988).  Based on my research, I have concluded that the doctrine of the Trinity is a false concept and has no place in Christianity.  The Trinity, therefore, is upheld by the traditions of men, which defies the revelation of God.  The Lord never revealed the Trinity.  “Because the Trinity is such an important part of later Christian doctrine, it is striking that the term does not appear in the New Testament.  Likewise, the developed concept of three coequal partners in the Godhead found in later Creedal formulations cannot be clearly detected within the confines of the canon [i.e., actual Scripture]” (Bruce Metzer, “Trinity”, p. 782).  So far as Christ being a man, this is true. (Christadelphian Doctrines, Presented By Jack Zavada, Updated on October 09, 2019. With Commentary by Steve Marlowe)

Well, it is true that the Trinity is false. It is also true that Jesus was truly a human man after His incarnation and before His resurrection. However, Christadelphians deny the deity of Jesus.

Yet, early Christians did consider the pre-incarnate and the resurrected Jesus as God. Details can be found in the article: Binitarian View: One God, Two Beings Before the Beginning. As many scholars realize, unitarianism was not an original Christian belief. See also the article: Was Unitarianism the Teaching of the Bible or Early Church? More on the Godhead can be found in the free eBook: Mysteries of God. What is God?

Now, here is more from that interview.

Baptism

Baptism is mandatory, a visible demonstration of repentance and contrition. Christadelphians hold that baptism is the symbolic participation in Christ’s sacrifice and resurrection, resulting in forgiveness of sins.

Steve Marlowe Commentary:  Agreed, however, there are two baptisms.  One is Apostolic and the other is Catholic.  Based on the Apostolic and the biblical record, how do we baptize converts? Most look to Matthew 28:19, allegedly, the apostles are commanded to baptize in “the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost,” … In the earliest manuscripts of Matthew 28:19, did Christ say something very different?  And if so, what did the Savior say?  According to the earliest history, the Savior said, “Go and make disciples of all nations in My Name” (Eusebius, The History of the Church, Penguin Classics, 1965, p. 68).

There are several problems with the above. The first is that Eusebius rarely quoted scriptures, and a partial quote does not prove something else was not in the Bible. Related to the improper allegation that Matthew 28:19 was supposedly changed, check out the article: Is Matthew 28:19 in the Bible?

More on baptism can be found in the free eBook: About Baptism.

Here is something else from the interview:

Clergy

Christadelphians have no paid clergy, nor is there a hierarchical structure in this religion. Elected male volunteers (called lecturing brethren, managing brethren, and presiding brethren) conduct services on a rotating basis. Christadelphians means “Brothers in Christ.” Members address each other as “Brother” and “Sister.”

Steve Marlowe Commentary: No paid clergy, no hierarchy, this seems very New Testament; however, it can be said that one should not muzzle the ox.  Paid, or not paid, is up to the believers.

While I do not take a salary from the Continuing Church of God, biblically, the “clergy’ is entitled to be paid. To decide not to take a salary is something that the Apostle Paul apparently often did. But, as he wrote, he had the right:

4 Do we have no right to eat and drink? 5 Do we have no right to take along a believing wife, as do also the other apostles, the brothers of the Lord, and Cephas? 6 Or is it only Barnabas and I who have no right to refrain from working? 7 Who ever goes to war at his own expense? Who plants a vineyard and does not eat of its fruit? Or who tends a flock and does not drink of the milk of the flock?

8 Do I say these things as a mere man? Or does not the law say the same also? 9 For it is written in the law of Moses, “You shall not muzzle an ox while it treads out the grain.” Is it oxen God is concerned about? 10 Or does He say it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written, that he who plows should plow in hope, and he who threshes in hope should be partaker of his hope. 11 If we have sown spiritual things for you, is it a great thing if we reap your material things? 12 If others are partakers of this right over you, are we not even more?

Nevertheless we have not used this right, but endure all things lest we hinder the gospel of Christ. 13 Do you not know that those who minister the holy things eat of the things of the temple, and those who serve at the altar partake of the offerings of the altar? 14 Even so the Lord has commanded that those who preach the gospel should live from the gospel.

15 But I have used none of these things, nor have I written these things that it should be done so to me; for it would be better for me to die than that anyone should make my boasting void. (1 Corinthians 9:4-15)

(For additional information, check out the article Tithing Questions and Some Answers.)

Furthermore, the Apostle Paul clearly did teach hierarchy in the New Testament church:

11 And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, 12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, 13 till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; 14 that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, 15 but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head — Christ — 16 from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love. (Ephesians 4:11-16)

Not having proper hierarchy leads to doctrinal errors, which as this post is pointing out, the Christadelphians have a lot of doctrinal problems.

Philadelphian Christians accept proper hierarchical church governance and accept how God works and rules. See also: Why is there a Philadelphian remnant of the true Christian Church of God?

Additionally, a MAJOR reason that the bulk of end time real Christians are Laodicean is because they have not accepted the authority of biblical governance–but they should–details are in the article: The Bible, Peter, Paul, John, Polycarp, Herbert W. Armstrong, Roderick C. Meredith, and Bob Thiel on Church Government.

The interview also had the following:

Death

The soul is not immortal. The dead are in the “sleep of death,” a state of unconsciousness. Believers will be resurrected at Christ’s second coming.

Steve Marlowe Commentary:  The soul is mortal, but having said that, it is the spirit that enlivens the soul.

The above is basically correct. For more biblical information on that, check out the article: Did Early Christians Believe that Humans Possessed Immortality?

The interview had the following:

Heaven, Hell

Heaven will be on a restored earth, with God reigning over his people, and Jerusalem as its capital. Hell does not exist. Amended Christadelphians believe the wicked, or unsaved, will be annihilated. Unamended Christadelphians believe those “in Christ” will be resurrected to eternal life while the rest will remain unconscious, in the grave.

The Kingdom of God will be based on earth — see the free eBook: The Gospel of the Kingdom of God. Early Christians did NOT believe that going to heaven was the reward of the saved–for details, check out the article: Did Early Christians Teach They Were Going to Heaven?

Here is an article related to Hell: Study the Bible Course Lesson 15: What is “Hell”?

Now, early Christians did teach annihilation, but also that all not part of the first would have an opportunity for salvation–details are in our free eBook: Universal OFFER of Salvation, Apokatastasis: Can God save the lost in an age to come? Hundreds of scriptures reveal God’s plan of salvation.

Back to the interview:

Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is only a force of God in Christadelphian beliefs because they deny the Trinity doctrine. He is not a distinct Person.

Steve Marlowe Commentary:  The Holy Spirit is of God the Father, and therefore is not a distinct person.

The Holy Spirit is not a person and is a force/power of God–which Jesus can also supply:

26. But when the Comforter has come, which I will send to you from the Father, even the Spirit of the truth, which proceeds from the Father, that one shall bear witness of Me. (John 15:26, AFV)

7. But I am telling you the truth. It is profitable for you that I go away because if I do not go away, the Comforter will not come to you. However, if I go, I will send it to you. (John 16:7, A Faithful Version)

22 And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said to them, ‘Receive the Holy Spirit.’ (John 20:22, NKJV)

33 Therefore being exalted to the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, He poured out this which you now see and hear.” (Acts 2:33, NKJV)

9 But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His.” (Romans 8:9, NKJV)

1 And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb. (Revelation 22:1, NKJV)

Here is an article with some biblical and historical details about the Holy Spirit: Did Early Christians Think the Holy Spirit Was A Separate Person in a Trinity?

Now back to the interview:

Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ is a man, Christadelphians say, not God. He did not exist prior to his earthly incarnation. He was the Son of God, and salvation requires acceptance of Christ as Lord and Savior. Christadelphians believe that since Jesus died, he cannot be God because God cannot die.

The Christadelphians err here as they do not understand the scriptures or the power of God (cf. Matthew 22:29) on this.

Here are some quotes from our free eBook Mysteries of God. What is God?:

Jesus

Although some groups, like the Jehovah’s Witnesses and other unitarians, teach that Jesus did not exist from eternity, their teachings are in error.

The Bible is clear that Jesus existed before the earth or anything else which was created:

5 And now, O Father, glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory which I had with You before the world was. (John 17:5, NJKV, OSB)

9 … God who created all things through Jesus Christ (Ephesians 3:9, NJKV, OSB)

11 “You are worthy, O Lord, To receive glory and honor and power; For You created all things, And by Your will they exist and were created.” (Revelation 4:11, NJKV, OSB)

8 And all the dwell upon the earth adored him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb, which was slain from the beginning of the world. (Revelation 13:8, DRB)

Now notice something that the Apostle Paul wrote:

15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16 For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. 17 And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. 18 And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence. (Colossians 1:15-18, NJKV, OSB)

Jesus existed before anything else and, among other things, is also the head of the church. That is a mystery to many.

The Apostle John made the eternity of Jesus clear when he wrote:

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made (John 1:1-3, NJKV, OSB).

Thus, the Word was God and was with God from the very beginning. Before anything was made. And the Word, Jesus Christ, was God, and was like God the Father, yet became flesh. Notice:

14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth (John 1:14, NJKV, OSB).

The above scripture shows that Jesus was God and that He became flesh. It was not that Jesus was an angel that became human (that happens to be what the Jehovah’s Witnesses teach). But it is true, that while on earth, Jesus emptied Himself of His divinity and actually became human (cf. Philippians 2:5-7). …

Regarding His sonship, the old Worldwide Church of God taught:

The fact that Christ is spoken of as God’s Son refers to His human begettal and birth. Before His advent He was the “Word,” not the “Son.” This was His name, the badge of His power and authority as Spokesman for God the Father. (Questions & Answers. Good News, November 1975)

So, did Jesus empty Himself of His divinity when He was born of Mary?

Yes, the Bible teaches that Jesus:

7 … emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in the likeness of men, and in habit found as a man. (Philippians 2:7, DRB)

5 … Christ Jesus; 6 Who, although He existed in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, 7 But emptied Himself, and was made in the likeness of men, and took the form of a servant; (Philippians 2:5-7, AFV)

5 … Christ Jesus: 6 Who, being in the form of God, did not count equality with God something to be grasped. 7 But he emptied himself, taking the form of a slave, becoming as human beings are; and being in every way like a human being, (Philippians 2:5-7, NJB)

Jesus emptied Himself of His divinity when He was begotten in Mary. That is when He became human. …

Furthermore, Polycarp of Smyrna of the 2nd century understood that Jesus actually died and needed to be resurrected:

Jesus Christ, who for our sins suffered even unto death, [but] “whom God raised from the dead, having loosed the bands of the grave” … He who raised Him up from the dead will raise up us also, if we do His will, and walk in His commandments, and love what He loved … (Polycarp’s Letter to the Philippians, Chapters 1,2)

The Father raised Jesus from the dead. The mythical Jesus that modern trinitarians actually claim to worship did NOT give up all so that humans could be saved, was not subject to transgression like humans, did not have to have the faith to rely on the Father for miracles and His resurrection, did not really die, did not need His Father to resurrect Him, and, hence, did not really come in the flesh. That view is mythological for those of us who accept the Bible as the word of truth. …

The original Christian belief was that Jesus had emptied Himself of His divinity, became fully human, was tempted, and allowed Himself to actually be put to death in order to be our Saviour. …

Jesus was not fully human AND fully God while a man on the earth as He emptied Himself of His divinity (Philippians 2:7), He, of Himself could do nothing (John 5:19, 30, 8:28), Jesus was tempted as we are (Hebrews 2:18)—(remember, God cannot be tempted per James 1:13), and He died (Romans 5:6,8)—which God cannot do.

The Continuing Church of God does not make the trinitarian nor unitarian mistakes about Jesus.

More on Jesus can also be found in the free eBook: Proof Jesus is the Messiah.

Back to the interview:

Trinity

The Trinity is unbiblical, according to Christadelphian beliefs; therefore, they reject it. God is one and does not exist in three Persons.

Steve Marlowe Commentary:  One could read the Bible from Genesis to Revelation and find no evidence of the doctrine of the Trinity.  It was not formalized at the Council of Nicaea (325 C.E.), which only identified the Father and the Son as one in essence (homoousios), and this would be a Binitarian (two-person) belief of the Godhead, not a Trinitarian belief.  It was at the Council of Constantinople (381 C.E.) that the Holy Ghost was added to the Godhead establishing a Trinitarian belief and thus the Trinity.

The above is basically correct. You can also check out the article: Did the True Church Ever Teach a Trinity?

Back to the interview article:

Baptism is a requirement for salvation, Christadelphians believe. Members are baptized through immersion, at an age of accountability, and have a pre-baptism interview about the sacrament. Communion, in the form of bread and wine, is shared at the Sunday Memorial Service.

Baptism is to be by immersion by persons mature enough to accept repent and accept Jesus–and it is by immersion. See also the free eBook: About Baptism.

But the Bible does NOT teach a Sunday Communion. That service was formally accepted at the Council of Nicea in 325 A.D. that the pagan sun-worshiping Emperor Constantine convened.

Notice also the following, which is related, from the interview article:

Christ Instituted the Lord’s Supper [Communion] on the Passover

“When the hour had come, He sat down, and the twelve apostles with Him.  Then He said to them, “With fervent desire I have desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer; for I say to you, I will no longer eat of it until it is fulfilled in the Kingdom of God.”  Then He took the cup, and gave thanks, and said, “Take this and divide it among yourselves; for I say to you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine until the Kingdom of God comes.”  And He took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.”  Likewise, He also took the cup [of Redemption] after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood, which is shed for you” (Luke 22:14-20).  Communion is to be celebrated annually on Passover.  It is a Memorial Service to be done on Passover.  The memorial service should be done according to how the Savior meant it to be done; therefore, “Your glorying is not good. Do you not know that a little leaven leavens the whole lump?  Therefore, purge out the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, since you truly are unleavened. For indeed Christ, our Passover, was sacrificed for us.  Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth” (1 Corinthians 5:6-8).  …

Sunday morning services include worship, Bible study, and a sermon. Members share bread and wine to remember Jesus’ sacrifice and to anticipate his return.

Yes, Jesus instituted the Christian Passover. It was an annual memorial, and is to be kept in the evening–not the morning–on the 14th day of the Hebrew month of Nisan/Abib. Here is an article on that: Passover and the Early Church.

The interview article had the following:

Worship Services

Sunday morning services include worship, Bible study, and a sermon. … Sunday School is held before this Memorial Meeting for children and young adults. …

Steve Marlowe Commentary:  Based on all that has been presented above, perhaps modifications and changes are in order.  The Apostolic Church, before 70 CE, worshiped on the Sabbath (Saturday).  Sunday, the first day of the week, they came together to do the work of evangelism, which began on Monday and continued until the Sabbath.  It was due to hatred that the day was changed from Saturday to Sunday, again to be alienated from the Jews, and this was accomplished almost one hundred years after the Resurrection of our Lord and Savior.

Early Christians did not observe Sunday for weekly services–they met on the Sabbath, the day we call Saturday in English.

Yes, hatred and cowardice, along with paganism, were all factors in apostates switching to Sunday. Sunday was further decreed by the 325 Council of Nicea–see also: Sunday and Christianity.

The faithful kept to the same day of the week that Jesus and the original Apostles kept–see also: The Sabbath in the Early Church and Abroad.

The Christadelphian article also had the following:

Behold the name which is above every name, YAH!

When the Savior of the world said, “Before Abraham was I AM” (John 8:58), He told the people that He is “YAH.”  Shua means “my help,” as in my “salvation.”  YAHSHUA is the only name by which we must be saved.   It is by this gate, by the name YAHSHUA, that we receive His salvation given to us, and He said, “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it” (Matthew 7:13-14).  It is based solely on the traditions of men that this revealed name, YAHSHUA, given from Heaven, is deemed a philological impossibility.  …

YAHSHUA, “Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”

The Tetragrammaton יהוה‎ (YHWH) is the four consonant letters that form the name of God: Yodh, Hey, Waw, Hey.

Well, yes, there is only one name under heaven by which humans can be saved. But it is not the pronunciation of YAHSHUA that is necessary.

Why?

Because the New Testament was written in Greek, not in Hebrew. Here are details on that you can check out: Was the New Testament Written in Greek, Hebrew, or Aramaic?

In Greek, the Saviour’s name would be pronounced something like: I ee soos.

If God wanted to specify YAHSHUA, He would have–but He did not.

Furthermore, the Tetragrammaton יהוה‎ is not in the New Testament.

That said, Wikipedia has the following about the Christadelphians:

The Christadelphians (/ˌkrɪstəˈdɛlfiənz/) are a restorationist and nontrinitarian (Biblical Unitarian) Christian denomination.[1] The name means ‘brothers and sisters in Christ’,[2][3] from the Greek words for Christ (Christos) and brothers (adelphoi).[4][5][6]

Christadelphians believe in the inspiration of the Bible, the Virgin Birth, the status of Jesus as the son of God, believer’s baptismthe resurrection of the deadthe second coming of Christ, and the future kingdom of God on earth. However, they reject a number of mainstream Christian doctrines, for example the Trinity and the immortality of the soul, believing these to be corruptions of original Christian teaching.

The movement developed in the United Kingdom and North America in the 19th century around the teachings of John Thomas and they were initially found predominantly in the developed English-speaking world, expanding in developing countries after the Second World War. In 2009, the BBC estimated there were approximately 50,000 Christadelphians in around 120 countries.[7] Congregations are traditionally referred to as “ecclesias”. …

The Christadelphian body has no central authority or co-ordinating organisation to establish and maintain a standardised set of beliefs, but there are core doctrines accepted by most Christadelphians. …

There are a number of groups who, while sharing a common heritage and many Christadelphian teachings, have adopted alternative names in order to dissociate themselves from what they believe to be false teachings and/or practice within the main Christadelphian body. Ranging in size from two or three members in size to around 50, each group restricts fellowship to its own members. These include the Nazarene Fellowship,[98] the Ecclesia of Christ, the Remnant of Christ’s Ecclesia,[99] the Apostolic Fellowship of Christ [100] and the Apostolic Ecclesia.[101]

The Church of God of the Abrahamic Faith (CGAF) also has common origins with Christadelphians and shares Christadelphian beliefs.[102] Numbering around 400 (primarily Ohio and Florida, USA),[103] they are welcomed into fellowship by some “Central” Christadelphians and are currently involved in unity talks. (Christadelphians, accessed 12/29/25)

So, as far as the fate of the Laodiceans goes, the late evangelist Leroy Neff wrote this when he was part of the old Radio Church of God:

The Church of Philadelphia Compared with Laodicea

Let’s compare this parable and the Church of Laodicea with the Church of Philadelphia. We have proved through history and through God’s Word that this work, the Radio Church of God, is the “Philadelphia Era” of the Church.

Notice now the differences. Revelation 3:7-13: “And to the angel of the Church in Philadelphia write these things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that OPENETH, and no man SHUTTETH; and SHUTTETH and no man openeth.” The great door that God has opened to this work is the facility to go into all the world and preach the gospel; the door of radio, the door of the printing press, plus many other such doors. God has set before us an open door and no MAN can shut it. God can shut it, and He will when the work is finished and the Philadelphia Church goes to a place of safety.

“I know thy works: Behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name” (verse 8). Notice that this Church has works. It has works of ZEAL and of REPENTANCE. This Church has only a little strength.

But, by contrast, the Church of Laodicea believes that IT is increased with goods and has a great deal of strength. Philadelphia has little strength to do this great work that God has given it to do. God has opened the door, and yet look how insignificant, how weak, how little strength we as a Church have to do that work. How much we lack in every way, and yet God has opened the door and has given us certain vital, supernatural, spiritual gifts. Very often we lack enough money to pay the radio bills and other expenses. WE ARE FEW IN NUMBER, while many other eras of the Church of God numbered in the hundreds of thousands. We indeed have little strength. And yet, look at the great power that God has placed before us.

Let’s bring it down to the individual level even though it is referring primarily to the Church as a whole. Most of us as individuals realize how little strength we really have, how we lack in some of the spiritual gifts. God has given the Church a good measure of wisdom and of knowledge and faith. He has given us many other gifts but we still lack in many things, but we also realize it. Our Church has not denied the name of God.

THIS Church is going to be protected from the hour of temptation, or of trial and tribulation which will come upon all the world (Rev. 3:16). But the Church of Laodicea must go through severe tribulation…

The Church of Laodicea is to be lukewarm, lacking in zeal and repentance. The Laodicean Church is not going to be worthy to escape to a place of safety. When it is too late, they will find that the Church of Philadelphia has gone to safety. Only two choices remain for each person left. They will be tried by the fire of men, and may lose their lives in severe tortures; or if they recant, they will lose their lives in the final gehenna fire. In either case, they will be tried in the fire. If they are tried by the fire of men and still overcome, they will be given eternal life. If they fail this, the final GEHENNA FIRE with everlasting destruction will be their doom. Judging from the parable of the ten virgins, if you are found in the Church of Laodicea, YOU PROBABLY DON’T KNOW IT. You may think you are in the Church that will go to safety. When you find out it will be too late. (Neff L. What Is the “LAODICEAN CHURCH”? Good News August 1959 Vol. VIII, Number 8.)

Here is something that the Christadelphians say about themselves:

Our Faith and Beliefs

The Christadelphians are a world-wide community of Bible students whose fellowship is based on a common understanding of the Scriptures.

Our name comes from Colossians 1:2: “to the saints and faithful brethren in Christ which are at Colosse…”. In the original Greek, this phrase is “delphos en Christos”, which was reordered into “Christadelphian”.

We have no central organization telling us what to do and believe. Neither are we some fringe group following a charismatic leader or some internal text. Rather, we are tied together everywhere by our zeal for reading God’s Holy scriptures and our understanding of His plan and purpose as He has revealed to everyone therein. https://christadelphia.org/belief.php accessed 12/31/25

Anyway, the Christadelphians, though claiming to hold to aspects of the original faith have rejected many aspects of it. Nor do they properly understand God’s plan of salvation.
