Poll puts far-right AfD far ahead in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania
A new poll shows the far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) leading clearly in the northeastern state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, seven months before an election there.
The Forsa survey for the Ostsee-Zeitung put the AfD at 37%, ahead of the center-left Social Democrats (SPD) of state premier Manuela Schwesig on 23% and the center-right Christian Democrats (CDU) on 13%. The socialist Left Party, which currently governs in coalition with the SPD, was measured at 11%.
The state election is scheduled for September 20.
The business-focused Free Democrats (FDP) on 2% and the Greens on 4% would miss the 5% threshold and drop out of the state parliament, while the populist left BSW was at 5%, right on the edge. …
While the AfD would emerge as the largest force in the state parliament under the current figures, all major political parties have said they will not work with it.

The AfD’s rise has long concerned many in Germany as well as in other European nations. Much of the mainstream media hates the AfD–yet the AfD’s rise has continued.

Though some have called for the AfD to be banned, remember that the German government tried to ban Adolf Hitler’s party (and even jailed Adolf Hitler for a time), and then finally was taken over by him and his party.

More than 2,600 EU citizens were asked questions in mostly face-to-face meetings in November. They overwhelmingly supported a more muscular EU — 69% say they wanted an expanded security role in global crises, 87% a more diplomatically aggressive Brussels on topics like peace and climate change, and 90% called for a bloc more unified to tackle key issues. …

A reorganization is prophesied for Europe:
12 The ten horns which you saw are ten kings who have received no kingdom as yet, but they receive authority for one hour as kings with the beast. 13 These are of one mind, and they will give their power and authority to the beast. (Revelation 17:12-13)
As far as part of how, the Bible shows that a totalitarian leader will arise in Europe who, though talking peace, eventually will destroy places like the USA, UK, and Canada:
24 His power shall be mighty, but not by his own power;
He shall destroy fearfully,
And shall prosper and thrive;
He shall destroy the mighty, and also the holy people.25 “Through his cunning
He shall cause deceit to prosper under his rule;
And he shall exalt himself in his heart.
He shall destroy many in their prosperity. (Daniel 8:24-25)39 Thus he shall act against the strongest fortresses with a foreign god, which he shall acknowledge, and advance its glory; and he shall cause them to rule over many, and divide the land for gain (Daniel 11:39).
25 And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand. (Daniel 8:25, KJV).
23 And after the league is made with him he shall act deceitfully, for he shall come up and become strong with a small number of people. 24 He shall enter peaceably, even into the richest places of the province; and he shall do what his fathers have not done, nor his forefathers: he shall disperse among them the plunder, spoil, and riches; and he shall devise his plans against the strongholds, but only for a time. (Daniel 11:23-24, NKJV)
So this leader gives people the impression that there will be “peace” and is involved in some type of deal. This is the same leader that confirms the covenant in Daniel 9:27. The term is translated as “peace” in Daniel 8:25 is from the Hebrew term shalvah and essentially means security. In other words, this leader will destroy “many” who are under the impression that they are secure because of some type of security and/or trade arrangement. Such arrangements are now commonly referred to as peace deals or treaties.

European leaders told to ‘keep their mouth shut’ on nukes

European leaders should keep their “mouth shut” on nuclear deterrence, Belgian Defense Minister Theo Franken said on Wednesday, calling out their public statements on the issue as particularly ill-timed and inappropriate.
Talk of Europe developing its own nuclear deterrent has intensified since Washington announced it would scale back security commitments to its European allies, focusing instead on homeland defense and containing China.
Commenting on X about a recent podcast interview with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, Franken said: “Regarding nuclear deterrence, I really don’t understand why European leaders are so loose-lipped. Not wise. Please keep your mouth shut.” …
The question of obtaining nuclear weapons is being discussed more in the German media and is gaining “advocates among politicians, MPs, the military officials and experts,” …
Kay Gottschalk, a lawmaker from the far-right party Alternative for Germany (AfD), said last month that Germany “needs nuclear weapons” since European nations can no longer rely on American protection.
The debate gained further traction last week when Polish President Karol Nawrocki said Warsaw needs to develop its own nuclear weapons program, adding that he is a “strong supporter of joining a nuclear project.” He does not know whether the government would actually do it, he added. https://www.rt.com/news/632760-eric-trump-israeli-drone-maker/
Yes, many in Europe want nukes. But some think that they, including the AfD, should not be so vocal about it.
The Bible shows that the coming European Beast power will be a militarily successful leader for a time (cf. Revelation 13:1-4; Daniel 11:39-43). Nuclear weapons would be expected to be used by him.
That said, the AfD is considered Germany’s anti-migrant party–and it asserts migrants have been a major factor in crime and less peace.
While the AfD has its own problems, its continued rise is demonstrating that Germans are becoming less tolerant of migrants and the status quo than many thought.

Can a strong man worse than Adolf Hitler, that the Bible calls the Beast rise up from Germany? Could Europe reorganize with a small backing to put this leader into place? Does the AfD want to make a deal with Russia? Will Germany make a future deal with Russia that would be opposed to the USA? Does the AfD want religion involved to meet its objectives in such a way that it could support the coming King of the North Beast power that the Bible warns will arise in Europe?
