Ronald Weinland, Fear, and another ‘Worldwide Church of God’

COGwriter

The imprisoned self-appointed false prophet and false apostle, Ronald Weinland of the Church of God-Preparing for the Kingdom of God (CGPFKF), wrote the following:

April 3, 2013…

Fear Is Fast Approaching:
Yes, fear is about to strike mankind in a massive worldwide manner and on a scale that has never before been remotely close to what is coming. Not even the flood in Noah’s day struck such fear. That is why you need to seek God’s help now to be as prepared as humanly possible for what is about to become a reality. No one will escape!…

We are now at a stage in this final time for mankind where some of the greatest deceit and pride-filled lying is being promoted in order to move masses of people into a false confidence and security about economic governmental stability. This is being fostered most by those nations who are exercising the greatest pride and arrogance over others…

Rather than “peace and safety,” the world is right now on the brink of experiencing a total economic panic and collapse… The constant repetition of these huge seismic shakings along global economic fault lines will be a major catalyst for a final world war.

God’s Reign:…

After Christ’s arrival on the Day of Pentecost, people will begin to be made ready for a great celebration of their deliverance from bondage and captivity.

Pentecost May 19, 2013 is Ronald Weinland’s third false date for the return of Jesus Christ. Ronald Weinland is claiming that Jesus will return on the Day of Pentecost this year, and he had insisted before that Jesus would return on Pentecost in 2012 (which was May 27, 2012).  And he is teaching that massive destruction is coming between now and that date, and that when this happens (which it will not then), people will have major fear.

When Jesus did not return last year, Ronald Weinland (like he did once before when he changed his original return date of the Feast of Trumpets when it was September 29, 2011) somewhat declared that God was being merciful and granting more time. He now basically seems to be claiming that all of the judgments and plagues associated with the Great Tribulation and Day of the Lord will happen between next week and May 19, 2013, with probably most happening on May 19, 2013. This is wrong.

For those unfamiliar with him, Ronald Weinland was a former WCG then UCG minister who falsely claimed to be a prophet and one of the two witnesses (he claimed that his wife was the second of the witnesses). He has also falsely claimed to be the end time Elijah, an Apostle, etc. He was again proven wrong last May when Jesus did not return as he insisted He would. He was convicted of multiple counts of income tax fraud in June 2012 (see CGPFKG’s Ron Weinland Found Guilty of Income Tax Evasion) and went to prison for in on February 1, 2013 (see CGPFKG’s Ronald Weinland to report to prison today).

It is Ronald Weinland that should fear spreading his false dates, etc.

I have denounced Ronald Weinland since 2005/2006 and while his predictions have repeatedly proven to have been wrong, every denouncement of his predictions that I posted here have been correct. I have long written that I believed that the following was applicable to Ronald Weinland:

1 But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction. 2 And many will follow their destructive ways, because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed. 3 By covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words; for a long time their judgment has not been idle, and their destruction does not slumber. (2 Peter 2:1-3).

Destruction has been occurring related to Ronald Weinland’s reputation, organizational influence, personal finances, and his living conditions. He is now, after all, in prison.  When he is proven wrong again next month, perhaps even less will support him.

The main point of COGwriter posts about him is to warn all not to let false prophets, false apostles, and heretical leaders like Ron Weinland turn people away from the God of the Bible.

And speaking of heretical or apostate leaders, there is a another group that is calling itself the Worldwide Church of God and it is hoping to have major impact in the USA:

April 1, 2013…

“Get out, spirit of death. Now you are burnt, now you are plucked out by my God!”

A blood-curdling shriek rose from one of the front pews, but Apostle Valdemiro Santiago, founder of the Worldwide Church of God’s Power, didn’t flinch.

“Don’t be afraid, church, by these screams,” Santiago reassured the crowd. “They are the evil spirits being defeated.”

Fourteen years after he started out in the countryside outside Sao Paulo, Santiago sits at the helm of a booming Pentecostal church in Brazil, the world’s fastest-growing evangelical country. He now leads 4,000 churches, including 10 in the United States, where fiery worship and exorcisms form part of the appeal.

Like many missionary churches, the Worldwide Church plans to proselytize and attract the local Brazilian diaspora and America’s growing Hispanic population and non-immigrant whites, as well. http://www.religionnews.com/2013/04/01/brazilian-evangelist-has-big-plans-for-u-s/

This is obviously not a true Church of God group.  But since some may hear about it, it seemed appropriate to mention it here.  Note: the old Worldwide Church of God no longer exists.  The group that gained control of it, changed its name to Grace Communion International and no longer holds to many basic Church of God doctrines.

Some articles of possible interest related to prophecy may include:

Concerns About Ronald Weinland’s Church of God-Preparing for the Kingdom of God Ronald Weinland falsely claims to be one of the two witnesses God is raising up, that the Great Tribulation began on December 14, 2008, that Jesus would return on May 27, 2012, and then claimed that Jesus would return on May 19, 2013 (he originally had Jesus returning on September 28/29 2011). Why does the Bible show that Ron Weinland is a false prophet? Why do Ronald Weinland’s own statements prove that he is a false prophet? Additionally, he has other views which show he is not truly part of the Church of God.
How To Determine If Someone is a True Prophet of God There are many false prophets. How can Christians determine who is a true prophet? What does the New Testament actually teach on this subject? There is also a YouTube video about this which is also titled How to determine if someone is a true prophet of God .
Who Are The Two Witnesses? What is their job? What does the Bible reveal? What has the Church of God taught on this subject? Might even Roman Catholic prophecies give some clues here?
When Will the Great Tribulation Begin? 2013, 2014, or 2015? Can the Great Tribulation begin today? What happens before the Great Tribulation in the “beginning of sorrows”? What happens in the Great Tribulation and the Day of the Lord? Is this the time of the Gentiles? When is the earliest that the Great Tribulation can begin? What is the Day of the Lord? Who are the 144,000? See also the video Can the Great Tribulation Begin in 2013?
Why Be Concerned About False and Heretical Leaders? There have been many false leaders–here is some of why you should be concerned about them.
