Pope Francis entrusts pontificate to ‘Mary’ and Cardinal hopes for Islamic cooperation

COGwriter

The new pope, Francis, is in the news.  Here is something reported today:

March 17, 2013

He is the first modern non-European pope. He is the first pope from Latin America (his father was an Italian immigrant) a continent that has 39% of the world’s Catholics. He is the first pope who is a Jesuit…

There are indications some cardinals hope this pope will be Christian-friendly to Islam and the developing world. Cardinal Angelo Scola, the archbishop of Milan, heads a foundation to promote Muslim-Christian understanding, and looks after Afghanistan’s only Catholic Church as if it were in his diocese. Slamet Effendy Yusuf, a Muslim and head of the Indonesian Ulema Council, told the Christian Science Monitor, “We believe this is a new chapter in the history of relations between Muslims and Catholics.”

The Pope may very well be friendly to Islam.  Actually, in my new book The Last Pope: Do Biblical and Catholic Prophecies Point to Pope Francis I?, I mentioned that one of the reasons that he may have chosen the name Francis was because the Franciscans have tended to have better relations with Islam than other Catholic groups.  It should be noted that biblical and Catholic prophecy suggest that those allied with Rome will temporarily convert Muslims (probably utilizing lying wonders such as ‘Marian’ apparitions) and then they will invade and take over the Arabic lands (cf. Daniel 11:40-43).

In my “Last Pope” book, I also mentioned that ‘Marian’ influences were a concern.  So, the following related to Pope Francis was of interest:

In his first outing from the Vatican, Pope Francis went to the Basilica of Saint Mary Major to pray before the image of the patroness of Rome…

Cardinal Abril y Castelló:… he told me he wanted to visit Saint Mary Major. I told him I was delighted, of course, and that I would accompany him if he so wished. He answered, “Yes, of course.”

So we accompanied him. Cardinal Agostino Vallini also came. There was no one was in the Basilica for security reasons. It was a lovely moment of prayer to the Virgin, after offering her the bouquet of flowers. He stayed a while praying in silence. Then we all sang the Salve Regina.

Yesterday he said to me specifically, I want to go to pray to the Virgin to entrust my whole pontificate to her, so that she will bless it and help me.  http://www.zenit.org/en/articles/welcoming-the-pope-to-mary-s-house

So, Pope Francis did not entrust his pontificate to the God of the Bible, but instead to a version of Mary that is contrary to scripture.  This is something that a real man of God simply would not do.

There are many concerns in the Bible (cf. Isaiah 47) and other writings about how apparitions like those claimed to be Mary will influence end time events.  And the Pope’s actions, sadly, are consistent with them (those who wish an in-depth review and discussion how ‘Marian’ apparitions may affect the end times should consider getting the book Fatima Shock! What the Vatican Does Not Want You to Know About Fatima, Dogmas of Mary, and Future Apparitions).

A couple of days ago, as many of you are aware, the Continuing Church of God announced a give-away for the Kindle version of a new book titled The Last Pope: Do Biblical and Catholic Prophecies Point to Pope Francis I?

Amazon Kindle allows the book to be free for five only days at the time of introduction, and it is free until March 19, 2013.  The book is now also available for purchase for $9.98 from Amazon for those who want an actual 186 page printed book at the following link: The Last Pope: Do Biblical and Catholic Prophecies Point to Pope Francis I?

According to some interpretations of the prophecies of the popes by the Catholic saint and Bishop Malachy, Pope Francis I is in the position of “Peter the Roman,” the pontiff who reigns during tribulations until around the time of the destruction of Rome. Do biblical prophecies warn of someone that sounds like Peter the Roman? Could Francis I be the heretical antipope of Catholic private prophecies and the final Antichrist of Bible prophecy?

While Catholic private prophecies cannot be trusted, and I assert that Satan influenced this past papal election, Bible prophecy shows that we are in the last days. If so, it is possible, but by no means certain, that Pope Francis I  could be the one that the Bible warns about.  Much depends on the actions Pope Francis does or does not take.

Here are the chapter titles for the new “Last Pope” book for those who wonder about some of the subjects that it covers:
