The 30^th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP 30) has been going on in Brazil. It was supposed to end yesterday, but was extended until today. The mainstream media indicates that the results were disappointing:

Exhausted delegates are trickling out to catch planes home and another tropical storm is battering the roof. The man sitting next to me gave me a parting gift – a chocolate bar reading “last chance for our rainforests”.

Here are the key takeaways from the closing day of the summit:

• After a bitter row over fossil fuels (by far the largest contributor to climate change) a deal passed that contained no direct reference to them
• Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and more than 80 countries including the UK and EU lost a battle to advance commitments made two years ago to move away from fossil fuels
• But some parties, such as oil-producing nations, are happy about the outcome, saying they have the right to decide on how to tackle climate change at their own pace
• Rich countries committed to triple finance for poor countries to help them adapt to climate change – roughly $120bn of the $300bn climate finance goal will now be dedicated to adaptation measures in the most vulnerable countries
• Some progress was made on tackling deforestation, including the establishment of a fund called Tropical Forest Forever Facility, which has raised $6.6bn

The negotiations between more than 194 countries came close to collapse, with both ambitious countries and petrostates threatening to block any deal or walk out. But global heating requires a global response and in today’s fractured geopolitical climate sealing a deal backed by all countries keeps the UN climate show on the road.

“At a time of great political challenge, 194 countries have come together within the Paris agreement to recommit to acting on the climate crisis,” said the UK energy secretary, Ed Miliband. “This agreement does not have all the ambition we would have wanted but it commits to keeping 1.5C alive.”

The US did not send a delegation – Donald Trump has dismissed the climate crisis as a “con job”. Some at Cop30 in Belém said the US stance had emboldened Saudi Arabia and other petrostates to fight even harder to block progress. …

The nations at Cop30 agreed to triple funding for adaptation – money provided by rich countries and desperately needed by vulnerable countries to protect their people from the accelerating impacts of the climate crisis. It is a significant advance but the goal of possibly $120bn (£92bn) a year was pushed back five years to 2035, from the initial suggested date of 2030.

Overall, many countries and observers reacted angrily. “The outcome on adaptation is an insult to every community currently underwater or on fire,” said Harjeet Singh at the Satat Sampada Climate Foundation. “The refusal to commit to scaling up finance to the necessary $300bn annually for adaptation leaves the unprepared defenceless against inevitable ruin. The timeline ignores the urgency of the climate disasters striking us today.” …

The roadmap for transition away from fossil fuels was blocked from the formal Cop30 decision, …

Cop30 was deliberately sited in the Amazon to put focus on the vital role in climate of forests. Brazil’s environment minister, Marina Silva, tried to include a roadmap on ending deforestation in the core agreement at Belém.

On September 7, 2016, Olav Fykse Tveit, Church of Norway Pastor, and the General Secretary of the World Council of Churches from 2010 – 2020, stated, “We all sin against the Holy Spirit if we ignore climate change.” Thus, Tveit essentially declared that those who ignore ‘climate change’ are committing the ‘unpardonable sin’ against the Holy Spirit (watch The ‘Unpardonable Sin’ and ‘Climate Change’?).

While humans are to tend the Earth and not destroy it, comparing ignoring climate change are committing blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is blasphemy itself.

A Different False Gospel

While there have been a variety of false gospels since at least the time of Simon Magus and the Gnostics, there is a relatively new one being pushed by major leaders of the world’s churches. Essentially, leaders are teaching that ‘climate change’ is related to salvation, the unpardonable sin, and something called the ‘social gospel.’ This is being pushed by leaders including Pope Francis of the Church of Rome, Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew of the Eastern Orthodox Church, and Olav Tveit of the World Council of Churches. Is this a false gospel consistent with Galatians 1:6-11? Are these angels of light or something else (cf. 2 Corinthians 11:13-15)? While it is good to not pollute, will the ecumenical climate change agenda work according to the Bible? Dr. Thiel address these issues and more.

The promoters of the climate change gospel are not God’s ministers. It is not that people should pollute, but promoting the climate agenda (which normally also has economic and political parts) is pushing a false gospel.

The Bible says, “Unless the Lord builds the house, They labor in vain who build it” (Palms 127:1). As those associated with COP30 did not really want to do things God’s way, as well as knowing aspects of biblical prophecy we know that this will not succeed.

The Bible specifically shows that irrespective of whatever international agreements there may be, they will NOT save the environment–the Bible shows that it will take the return of Jesus and the establishment of the millennial Kingdom of God to do that (Matthew 24:21-22; Revelation 11:18; see also The Bible, Christians, and the Environment).

The Bible also clearly shows that the ecumenical/inter-faith movement will also end in destruction (Revelation 18 & 19). This is not something that Roman Catholics or the Eastern Orthodox or the Protestants should want (see also Why Should American Catholics Fear Unity with the Orthodox? and Beware: Protestants Going Towards Ecumenical Destruction!)–yet many of their leaders are promoting this!

I believe that the false climate change gospel will be part of the false gospel that the Beast and the final Antichrist will promote. They will deceive people on the earth (Daniel 11:23-24; Revelation 13:14).

The stage is being set for it now by many religious leaders. And the mainstream media keeps promoting that, so many are being taken in by it.

It will NOT work:

18 The nations were angry, and Your wrath has come, And the time of the dead, that they should be judged, And that You should reward Your servants the prophets and the saints, And those who fear Your name, small and great, And should destroy those who destroy the earth. (Revelation 11:18)

Jesus would not need to destroy those that are destroying the earth if the climate change advocates would truly solve the problem.

They cannot as they do not seem to understand that sin and the rejection of following the real ways of the God of the Bible is the cause for environmental problems. Instead, many religious leaders are promoting a false agenda for human salvation.

Do NOT fall for the false climate change gospel.

While there is a solution to ‘climate change,’ but the political and religious leaders of this world will not heed it.

The Bible does reveal that there is a solution to pollution and ‘climate change.’

Jesus’s kingdom will be the solution to pollution. Notice what will happen:

3 For the Lord will comfort Zion,
He will comfort all her waste places;
He will make her wilderness like Eden,
And her desert like the garden of the Lord;
Joy and gladness will be found in it,
Thanksgiving and the voice of melody.

4 “Listen to Me, My people;
And give ear to Me, O My nation:
For law will proceed from Me,
And I will make My justice rest
As a light of the peoples.
5 My righteousness is near,
My salvation has gone forth,
And My arms will judge the peoples;
The coastlands will wait upon Me,
And on My arm they will trust. (Isaiah 51:3-5)

Yes, a better world is coming. The gospel of the kingdom of God brings hope.

The Bible shows that God uses weather matters, including high heat (Revelation 16:8-9) and what is often called climate change today (Amos 4:4-9) to encourage repentance and obedience to Him (Haggai 2:17).

Furthermore, the Bible shows how to resolve climate change:

3 ‘If you walk in My statutes and keep My commandments, and perform them,
4 then I will give you rain in its season, the land shall yield its produce, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit.
5 Your threshing shall last till the time of vintage, and the vintage shall last till the time of sowing;
you shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land safely.
6 I will give peace in the land, and you shall lie down, and none will make you afraid;
I will rid the land of evil beasts,
and the sword will not go through your land. (Leviticus 26:3-6)

Yes, there is a biblical solution to climate change, but most associated with the climate change crowd have overlooked that.

But, people will heed God and His ways during the millennial Kingdom of God.

Until the arrival of that Kingdom, all human beings should strive to obey God while being careful about waste and pollution. And all should also pray for God’s kingdom to come (Matthew 6:10).

Disobedience to God is the cause of ‘climate change’ and obeying and turning to the true God is the solution.

But, partially because of Donald Trump and his stated policies, the US will be blamed for the world not hitting its climate goals. Goals that it was not meeting otherwise.

Remember, however, the real solution is to turn to God and seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness as Jesus said (cf. Matthew 6:33).

The US Centers for Disease Control has finally admitted that vaccines may be a factor in autism:

The message is hammered over and over, in news conferences, hearings and executive orders: President Donald Trump and his health secretary, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., say they want the government to follow “gold standard” science.

Scientists say the problem is that they are often doing just the opposite by relying on preliminary studies, fringe science or just hunches to make claims, cast doubt on proven treatments or even set policy.

‘The claim “vaccines do not cause autism” is not an evidence-based claim,’ the public health agency said on Nov. 19.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention now says that it’s possible vaccines cause autism, in a reversal of its previous stance.

“The claim ‘vaccines do not cause autism’ is not an evidence-based claim because studies have not ruled out the possibility that infant vaccines cause autism,” the CDC said in a Nov. 19 update to its website. “Studies supporting a link have been ignored by health authorities.”

The mainstream keeps pretending that the vaccine-autism link does not exist. But that is because real science on this has often been ignored and/or suppressed from publication.

Here’s what’s known, incontrovertible, stomp-down truth beyond contradiction. In the 1950s autism was almost unknown. There was a clinic in California with maybe half-a-dozen cases. Then along came one case of autism for every ten thousand children who’d undergone the MMR vaccine. Then came one such case out of every 250. The latest figure is one out of 50!

And the proud defenders of Big Pharma and the CDC still refuse to yield a centimeter. And that’s what interests so many of us non-doctors and non-scientists. There’s the pungent fragrance of “body-panic” as more and more anguished parents and alarmed Americans ask what’s going on here. The CDC’s cooking of the books has befouled the air thousands of kitchens away. Dr. Andrew Wakefield, distinguished research gastroenterologist, had his license revoked for the high crime of suggesting the MMR vaccine needed more study! CDC internal whistleblower Dr. William Thompson has more and more frightened onlookers hopeful that truth will prevail. The MMR loyalists, however, defend it like the fanatical war-time Japanese defended their Emperor Hirohito. There has been a push in the USA, Australia, and elsewhere to force parents to vaccinate their children.

Whether or not vaccines directly cause autism can be, and has been debated. My own view is that it is an accumulation of toxins that likely cause autism, and that vaccines are just one more toxin (though a powerful one).  Perhaps I should mention that I knew the late Dr. Bernard Rimland, who founded the Autism Research Institute many decades ago. He was one of the first to point out the possible connection between vaccines and autism.  Dr. Rimland allowed me to put some of his writings together in a book I wrote many years ago.

Years back, the fairly pro-vaccine publication Consumer Reports mentioned that vaccinations seem to increase the probability of developing asthma. As Barry Farber pointed out, we have seen massive increase in autism rates–though many have disputed that vaccines could have caused that, the reality is that the autism rates have gone way up.

California used to allow parents to not vaccinate their children, but now they are forcing the issue as are other governments. Let me state that having met with health officials in California, including giving testimony about two decades back before the Assembly Health committee, I have seen first hand how certain decisions appear to be made, and money and political considerations are normally more important than health and true public welfare.

Of course, vaccines per se are not a massive doctrinal issue, but the trend this year is to reduce rights of parents and others who have concerns about them. Much of the world is moving towards a more totalitarian government–and moving away from religious freedom.

When she was a candidate for US President, Hillary Clinton, once stated that giving vaccinations was one of the three most important things needed to be a good parent (see also Hillary Clinton in Prophecy). Yet, teaching the word of God and being a proper example is what parents are biblically supposed to do (see also Five Rules for Effective Parenting), but Mrs. Clinton did not say that.

Am I saying that all vaccinations are necessarily wrong?

No.

But I also do not believe that one must intentionally expose oneself or ones’ children to the pathogens and other elements involved with vaccines. Nor do I believe that vaccines should be mandated to parents. Vaccines are not going to save society.

Leading doctors have warned that there is no substitute for clean living – that drugs cannot nullify the damage done by wanton breaking of all health laws – and that wholesale vaccinations can weaken man’s overall natural resistance to disease. Turning from sin, eating only what is good, and obeying sanitary principles in the Bible are more effective than vaccines. But most political leaders will not truly advocate all of that.

Various parts of the world are taking bigger risks mandating vaccines and reducing religious freedoms than the proponents realize. And increases in autism may be related in ways many do not realize.

Parting from THE WAY

Related to early Christian church history, many Protestant scholars teach what is known as ‘the parting of the ways.’ Basically, this is the view that they refer to as ‘Jewish Christianity’ separated from ‘Gentile Christianity’ and that that ‘Jewish’ version died out. In his book, The Parting of the Ways: Between Christianity and Judaism and Their Significance for the Character of Christianity, Dr. James Dunn points to a parting in the second century, then mentions other partings. After admitting what original Christianity was, Dr. Dunn wrote, “Whether Jewish Christianity could or should have been retained within the spectrum of catholic Christianity is an important question which it may now be impossible to answer.” Dr. Thiel says that is NOT impossible to answer if you believe the Bible and will look at often overlooked aspects of early Christian church history. After quoting scriptures, Dr. Thiel pointed out that people parted from the Apostles, like Paul and John, rejected hierarchical church governance, preferred their own opinions, and were influenced by pagan philosophies. Quotes about what happened in Jerusalem related to the Bar Kochba revolt that ended c. 135 and a split between the faithful and the cowardly compromisers were provided. Faithful heresy fighters like Polycarp of Smyrna, Polycrates of Ephesus, and Serapion of Antioch were mentioned, as well as the unfaithful such as Simon Magus, Thebuthis, Marcus of Jerusalem, Justin Martyr, Marcion, and Valentinus. Gregory the Wonder Worker, Emperor Constantine, and Emperor Theodosius were discussed and denounced. The original date of Passover and the Council of Nicea’s date change to Easter Sunday was mentioned. The fact of supposedly ‘Christian’ emperors, like Constantine decreeing the death penalty for the faithful who would not eat unclean animals and Theodosius decreeing the death penalty for those willing to be faithful to the date of Passover was mentioned. Dr. Thiel cited Protestant as well as Roman Catholic scholars who agree that the bulk of those who profess Christianity post third century do not hold to the teachings and practices of the original Christians. Numerous scriptures pointing to THE WAY, including Jesus’ warnings about those who will not follow the narrow way were also quoted.

The Trump Administration ordered a report on trans treatments that passes scientific review:

Scientists okay Trump-ordered report …

A President Trump-ordered report on the scientific basis for providing “gender-affirming care” to kids — which found almost no medical evidence to support hormone therapy and other treatments for minors who identify as transgender — was published in its final version Wednesday after passing scientific peer review.

The report was reviewed by 10 different experts and research groups — and none identified major faults in the findings that US doctors should pause giving common gender dysphoria treatments until more is known about the long-term effects on patients, the lead author told The Post.

“They were given the chance to show mistakes, show errors. And they were not able to identify any,” said Dr. Leor Sapir, a senior fellow at the Manhattan Institute and one of the project researchers.

“They had some minor comments here and there, but nothing that gets to the main findings about evidence and ethics,” he said.

“And that includes the former president of the Endocrine Society, the very organization that has been one of the chief proponents of these interventions,” Sapir added.

The report was first released in May after Trump issued Executive Order 14187 after taking office.

The order claimed that US doctors were “maiming” teens with gender-affirming treatment that “must end,” and ordered the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to compile an assessment of the standards of care of minors who identify as transgender.

The subsequent report found that many of the studies that proponents of gender-affirming care use to back their treatments were of “very low quality,” and that little is really known about the long-term psychological and quality-of-life effects of treatment, along with how often patients regret undertaking them. …

Sapir noted that the report’s nine authors and their research process were “completely independent of HHS” — and that most are Democrats. …

There are issues and dangers of the falsely labled “gender-affirming care” (see The dark side of hormone blockers and transgenderism). Such “care” does NOT affirm gender, but is a surgical and chemical way to try to distort one’s natural gender.

It is moral, biological, and scientific ignorance to think one can change one’s sex.

The biological fact is that no one can actually transition from one sex to another. Hormone blockers, mutilating surgeries, and breaking of facial bones, do not change one’s genetic code.

Such surgeries were stopped last century, for reasons including that those who underwent what is now falsely called “gender-affirming surgery” did not result in happy or satisfied people.

Since they have been pushed a lot in the past several years again, others are voicing regrets as you can see in the following:

Walt Heyer … travels the world with the message that the truth … can set people free from the lies of gender ideology.

In the early 1980s, Heyer underwent hormone therapy and “sex-change” genital surgery; he lived as a woman for eight years. But before long, he realized that those procedures had only made things worse.

“I learned the truth,” he says on his website, SexChangeRegret.com. “Hormones and surgery may alter appearances, but nothing changes the immutable fact of your sex.”

Over several agonizing years, Heyer returned to living as a male. But he found real freedom only when, broken and repentant, …

Heyer, who has served as a senior fellow with the Family Research Council since 2023, has communicated with thousands of people who identified as transgender. He focuses on one key issue: what caused the person to not like who they are. Many, he finds, have been abused or suffered other trauma.

Heyer helps them identify where their pain came from so they can deal with it, and then— … he helps them embrace how God designed them.

But he doesn’t coddle people. Although he will say someone identifies as transgender, he will not say they are transgender. “When a Christian uses that word, it suggests that the LGBT advocates were successful in changing someone’s gender,” he said. “That’s factually not correct. In all of world history, no one has ever changed their gender. …

“We often get the question, why are we fighting about pronouns?” Frampton said. “The answer is because it makes you tell a lie. When you’re forced to call a man ‘she’ or a woman ‘he,’ it forces you to lie. And the government should not be in the business of forcing people to say anything they don’t agree with, much less forcing them to lie.”

Largest Review On Transgender-Youth Medicine Finds Insufficient Evidence For Medicalization

In April, the country published the Cass Review, “most comprehensive summary on transgender-youth medicine,” psychologist Erica Anderson, who identifies as transgender and has a doctorate in clinical psychology, told The Epoch Times.

The review, chaired by Dr. Hilary Cass, British honorary physician, consultant in pediatric disability, and former president of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, stated that there is insufficient evidence to demonstrate the long-term benefits of medicalizing children who want to identify as a different gender. Instead, the review recommends focusing on psychotherapy.

For some clinicians and researchers, this recommendation was a long time coming. Others are concerned that it potentially threatens medicalization—currently the primary treatment—for gender-incongruent youths.

The National Health Service (NHS) England, which commissioned the report in 2020, stated it would be committed to following through on the recommendations.

“[The Cass Review] final report will not just shape the future of healthcare in this country for children and young people experiencing gender distress but will be of major international importance and significance,” the statement read.

Eight days after the Cass Review’s release, Scotland’s health boards announced a pause on new prescriptions for puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones as they gather evidence to support the safety and clinical effectiveness of these medications.

‘End of the Era’

The Cass Review is based on the work of 237 papers, including 214 studies, 21 guidelines, and two position statements, which covered data of over 113,000 children and young people. The authors also analyzed anonymized data from over 3,700 children diagnosed with gender dysphoria, survey responses from professionals, and numerous interviews and testimonies from stakeholders of the issue. …

The review found insufficient and inconclusive evidence demonstrating the effectiveness and benefits of gender reassignment treatments for children. Additionally, many of these children are on the autism spectrum and share mental comorbidities often overshadowed by the medicalization model.

Dr. Cass hence advised cautionary psychological interventions while also leaving room for children to explore their identities.

The Society for Evidence Based Gender Medicine (SEGM), a medical group that advocates for evidence-driven research on transgender care, stated that for England, the review marked “the end of the era of a highly medicalized approach to the treatment of young people with gender-related distress,” which has come to be known as “gender-affirming” care. https://www.zerohedge.com/political/214-studies-21-guidelines-largest-review-transgender-youth-medicine-finds-insufficient

European psychiatrists warn against ‘experimental’ and harmful transgender medicine

A major European psychiatric organization has warned doctors against promoting “experimental” transgender “treatments” to gender-confused children and adolescents

The European Society of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (ESCAP) published a policy statement urging healthcare providers “not to promote experimental and unnecessarily invasive treatments with unproven psycho-social effects and, therefore, to adhere to the ‘primum-nil-nocere’ (first, do no harm) principle.”

The scientists of ESCAP highlighted the “poor reliability and instability of a gender dysphoria diagnosis in a specific child over time” and the “possible effects of the decisions to block puberty or preventing medical transitioning on a child’s psychosocial development.” …

The policy paper reminded its readers of core ethics principles that need to be observed in the cases of gender-confused minors:

• the principle of non-maleficence: do not use outside the research environment any experimental interventions with potentially irreversible effects, or interventions with unknown long-term consequences; do not adopt new practices prematurely without sufficient evidence; do not continue with outdated practices that might not be in the best interest of the patient.
• the principle of beneficence: adopt medical interventions with favorable benefits-to-harms ratio; consider benefits-to-harms ratio of not providing medical interventions; ensure adequate diagnosis and treatment of co-existing psychiatric disorders; ensure comprehensive diagnostic assessment of gender dysphoria instead of only relying on the self-assessment of children and adolescents. …

The ESCAP policy paper represents the latest example of the growing pushback from the medical establishment in Europe to so-called “gender-affirming care.”

Drugs and surgery are not what young people who act gender-confused need.

According to the Mayo Clinic:

Yet, historically, a major view was not to provide physical treatment but to give the young person time to finish puberty and grow into adulthood to see if the gender dysphoria would self-correct.

Yet, many now claim that the way to deal with this is to give hormone blockers and/or genitalia mutilating surgeries, which they call “gender affirming treatment,” is the answer.

But it is not.

15 Year Study: Vast Majority Of Children Grow Out Of Gender Confusion

A landmark study conducted over the past 15 years has concluded that most children who experience confusion regarding their gender identity grow out of it and go on to feel content with their lives as men and women.

The study, carried out in the Netherlands by researchers from the University of Groningen, involved more than 2,700 children, tracking them from age 11 to their mid-twenties.

The Daily Mail reports that every three years, the individuals were asked how they felt about their gender.

At the beginning of the study, around 11 percent, or one in ten of the children, expressed ‘gender non-contentedness’.

However, by the age of 25, just 4 percent, or one in 25, said they ‘often’ or ‘sometimes’ felt discontent with their gender.

The study comes as the controversy over allowing children to be given puberty blocking hormones, or even gender reassignment surgery, rages on.

The researchers noted, “The results of the current study might help adolescents to realise that it is normal to have some doubts about one’s identity and one’s gender identity during this age period and that this is also relatively common.”

As far as the study itself, here is the abstract of the study from the journal Archives of Sexual Behavior:

Adolescence is an important period for the development of gender identity. We studied the development of gender non-contentedness, i.e., unhappiness with being the gender aligned with one’s sex, from early adolescence to young adulthood, and its association with self-concept, behavioral and emotional problems, and adult sexual orientation. Participants were 2772 adolescents (53% male) from the Tracking Adolescents’ Individual Lives Survey population and clinical cohort. Data from six waves were included (ages 11–26). Gender non-contentedness was assessed with the item “I wish to be of the opposite sex” from the Youth and Adult Self-Report at all six waves. Behavioral and emotional problems were measured by total scores of these scales at all six waves. Self-concept was assessed at age 11 using the Global Self-Worth and Physical Appearance subscales of the Self-Perception Profile for Children. Sexual orientation was assessed at age 22 by self-report. In early adolescence, 11% of participants reported gender non-contentedness. The prevalence decreased with age and was 4% at the last follow-up (around age 26). Three developmental trajectories of gender non-contentedness were identified: no gender non-contentedness (78%), decreasing gender non-contentedness (19%), and increasing gender non-contentedness (2%). Individuals with an increasing gender non-contentedness more often were female and both an increasing and decreasing trajectory were associated with a lower global self-worth, more behavioral and emotional problems, and a non-heterosexual sexual orientation. Gender non-contentedness, while being relatively common during early adolescence, in general decreases with age and appears to be associated with a poorer self-concept and mental health throughout development. So most, with what is called gender dysphoria, will tend to grow out of it.

That points to gender dysphoria basically being a psychological or mental health issue.

Gender Confusion, Science, and Scripture

The British Medical Journal reports that there is an increase in “gender dysphoria” “in young people.” According to the Mayo Clinic, what is gender dysphoria? Is gender confusion physical or is there a psychological component associated with it? Does research suggest that most young people with it will to grow out of it? Is what are called “gender-affirming treatments” the right answer? Has it been reported that Sweden’s National Board of Health and Welfare determined that the risks of puberty blockers and treatment with hormones “currently outweigh the possible benefits” for minors? Did researchers at the University of Florida find that 81% of those who had undergone sex change surgeries in the past five years reported experiencing pain simply from normal movement in the weeks and months that followed? What about the effects of gender altering surgeries on fertility and libido? Have researchers concluded that there are often psychological comorbidities strongly associated with gender confusion? Do studies show that “gender-reassignment” treatments reduces suicides? Do males who undergo surgerical genitalia removal have a highly increased suicide rate according to a peer-reviewed study published in The Journal of Urology? What are some of the side effect associated with “gender-reassignment” treatments? Does the Bible condone or condemn cross dressing? What did Jesus say about God making males and females? Can gender be determined by looking at XX and XY chromosomes? Are there 6500 genetic differences between males and females? Are there also differences between male and female brains that surgical and hormonal treatments do not change? Dr. Thiel and Steve Dupuie address these points.

Science and the Bible oppose this type of mutilating surgery.

Transgenderism is against scripture.

As far as biology goes, Jesus taught the truth about biological sex:

4 And He answered and said to them, “Have you not read that He who made them at the beginning ‘made them male and female,’ 5 and said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? 6 So then, they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate.” (Matthew 19:4-6)

Of course, many ‘moderns’ want to act like there is no difference, but the Bible is clear that men and women are different. God warned that there would be those “who suppress the truth in unrighteousness” (Romans 1:18). But the truth is still the truth.

The transgender movement opposes both science and scripture.

We should pray for those who have gender confusion.

Most will grow out of it if they do not allow themselves to be drugged or mutilated.

The world’s tallest monument dedicated to Our Lady of Fátima was inaugurated and blessed on Nov. 13 during the closing Mass of the Marian Jubilee in Crato, located in Ceará state in northeastern Brazil.

The 177-foot-tall statue was created by the artist Ranilson Viana, inspired by the replica of the pilgrim image venerated in the cathedral of Our Lady of Penha, a work by the Portuguese sculptor Guilherme Ferreira Thedim.

According to three shepherd children, a ‘Lady’ appeared to them once a month for 6 months in a row in Fatima, Portugal. It never claimed to be Mary, and indeed it was not.

Furthermore, let me add that the statue in Brazil does not even resemble how the children described ‘the Lady.’ Here is information, based on their testimony and reports to two Roman Catholic priests, as quoted in my free eBook Fatima Shock! What the Vatican Does Not Want You to Know About Fatima, Dogmas of Mary, and Future Apparitions:

Here is some of what Lúcia herself wrote about what they saw on May 13, 1917:

…we beheld a Lady all dressed in white…She… radiated a light…We stopped, astounded before the Apparition.22

She also wrote that it sometimes held a ball (not a heart) in her hands.23

Here is some of what the Parish Priest of Fatima, Manuel Marques Ferreira, wrote in 1917 that the children reported about the apparition:

The clothing was a white mantle, which fell from the head to below the skirt, which was golden from the waist to below the strings…The skirt was all white and gold… [and] fell only to the knees; the coat was white…no shoes, but white socks with no gold; about the neck there was a gold chain with a pointed medallion.24

This skirt information came as a shock to me as I was unaware of it prior to late 2010. Later I learned that in the late 19th  century, some wealthy people wore “Diana” costumes which featured a “short skirt” (Diana is often historically featured that way 25) along with a covering white tunic with gold spots.26 This seemed remarkably similar to what the children claim to have seen in the early 20th century. A poem from the third century said Diana wore “half-boots. Her cloak is woven with gold thread,” while at least two mosaics from that period show her wearing a “short chiton” (a short tunic/skirt), and one has a cloak that goes over her head while a tapestry shows “that the ends of her cloak flutter on either side of her.”27

One reason the Fatima skirt report is not well known is that Priest Ferreira’s report and similar documents were not widely released until 1992, 75 years later. In 1917 Portugal, not even “ladies of the night” wore such skirts as they would have been considered to be scandalously provocative.28

Portuguese researchers Dr. Joaquim Fernandes (Professor of History at the University of Fernando Pessoa in Porto, Portugal) and Fina D’Armada speculated that the reason that the “skirt” information was not released until 1992 (some claim there was also an earlier release) was that because by then much of the world would not find such descriptions of female apparel scandalous, 29 yet nearly all of the pictures or statues allegedly of Mary of the Bible rarely show her wearing anything shorter than a dress down to the top of her feet. …

In 1917, the Catholic priest and investigator Canon Manuel Nunes Formigão interviewed the three Fatima children.53   Here is some of what he wrote:

Jacinta confirms that Our Lady’s dress fell only to the knees… Our Lady obviously could not have appeared other than dressed with the utmost decency and modesty…{This} constitutes a serious problem, opposing the very validity of the Apparition, giving rise in the spirit to the dread that this whole affair is a mystification, prepared by the Prince of Darkness.54

And that is true, yet Canon Formigão essentially decided that since some Catholics claimed to have felt better (physically or spiritually) because of Fatima, he dismissed the eye witness testimony that he had received.55  Yet, Mary would not have been dressed as culturally immodest as the apparition was described (cf. 1 Timothy 2:9-10). Whatever the children saw, we can be certain that it was not Jesus’ mother.

Certain priests have written:

As Saint Thomas {Aquinas} teaches, there is no argument against a fact—contra factum non argumentum est. If a statement is contrary to fact, then no authority on earth can expect us to believe it.56

To accept that the Lady who appeared at Fatima could possibly be Mary is an argument against biblical fact as “women are to wear suitable clothes and to be dressed quietly and modestly” (1 Timothy 2:9, NJB).   Moreover, the fact is that Mary would not have appeared that way in 1917. The testimony from the only three who saw the Lady confirms that this was not Mary.

Because  of  the  release  of  the  documents  of  Priest Ferreira and Canon Formigão about the Lady’s apparel, Joaquim Fernandes and Fina D’Armada wrote related to the short skirt:

It could be said that this description of the Being, finally revealed in 1992, is the real secret of Fatima.57

If more people knew the truth about this they may have viewed Fatima as something not from God.

Partially to test this hypothesis, on October 11, 2010, I asked a Catholic woman who had once been to Fatima on a religious pilgrimage, if the three children saw an apparition that was wearing a skirt shorter than even harlots in 1917 Portugal wore, if she thought that this could possibly be Mary, the Mother of Jesus.

She responded with, “No, I would think that it was the devil.”

So, I explained to her that in mid 1917 both her parish priest and Lúcia thought that the Lady of Fatima was probably the devil. She was shocked to learn this. She was also shocked to learn that Canon Formigão still supported Fatima after confirming with Jacinta (and another of the children) that the apparition wore a short skirt.

It has been speculated that because Jacinta told Canon Formigão  that  the  Lady  mentioned  him  by  name,  this may be part of why he was willing to overlook the skirt fact.58  …

The Bible warns of a “virgin” that uses enchantments who is also called the Lady of Kingdoms:

1 Come down, sit in the dust, O virgin daughter of Babylon, sit on the ground: there is no throne for the daughter of the Chaldeans, for thou shalt no more be called delicate and tender…4 Our redeemer, the Lord of hosts is his name, the Holy One of Israel. 5 Sit thou silent, and get thee into darkness, O daughter of the Chaldeans: for thou shalt no more be called the lady of kingdoms. … Isaiah 47 …

Notice also something else about the sorcery Queen/Lady:

2 Remove your veil, tie up your skirt, bare your legs, cross the rivers. Let your nakedness be displayed and your shame exposed. I am going to take vengeance and no one will stand in my way. (Isaiah 47:2-3 NJB)

This skirted “Lady of Kingdoms” is clearly something Mary of the Bible would not want to be.

So, understand that what will happen to the queen/Lady of the Kingdoms as well as to Babylon is warned against in Revelation. Yet, various Greco-Roman Catholics have claimed that Mary is the “Queen of heaven” and “Lady of the kingdoms.”

Now, see the following from Roman Catholic Msgr. Charles Pope:

Yes, the Church is a bride, not a widow.

So, Roman Catholics believe their church will not be a widow. Sounds like the statements in Isaiah 47 and Revelation 18.

Neither the Bible nor the apostles referred to Mary as any type of queen, nor as the “Lady of the kingdoms.” Sacred scripture clearly warns against doing anything, such as making cakes, to honor one known as “the queen of heaven” (Jeremiah 7:18-19; 44:17-25) and certainly condemns one called the “Lady of the kingdoms.”

Over a decade ago, my wife and I visited Fatima, Portugal. The image to the left below, is what is seen there. It resembles the 177 foot statue that was dedicated by the Church of Rome in Brazil earlier this month. But notice the image to the right. That was made by a graphic artist I hired. I gave him the only descriptions of ‘the Lady’ that came from the three children, and that is how he interpreted it.

Since we in the Continuing Church of God do not believe that Mary, the mother of Jesus, appeared in Fatima, Portugal in 1917, why pay attention to this?

There are several reasons. Notice five:

1) Some of the events claimed to have been predicted in 1917 (though not written down until years later) appear to have taken place. This has given the Fatima messages credibility even among those not part of the Roman Catholic faith. Various Roman Catholics believe more strongly in Fatima than the Bible.

2) The Fatima appearances, though not necessarily all the messages, have been accepted as legitimate and/or “worthy of belief” by the Vatican. As there are at least 1-2 billion people with at least some minimal ties with the Church of Rome, this means that a huge portion of the West (Europe and the Western Hemisphere), as well as people throughout the rest of the world, have reasons to pay attention to the Fatima messages.

3) Some of the Fatima messages are claimed to still be for the future. And whether people believe them or not, there will be repercussions from them. Some of those repercussions will likely shock the world. If you survive, you will likely be affected by these repercussions in the not too distant future. This is mainly because of warnings in the Bible about a woman (Isaiah 47) that seems to have had a lot in common with the apparition that supposedly appeared over a century ago.

4) Muhammad, founder of Islam, claimed that there were 4 perfect women. His first wife, Pharaoh’s daughter who pulled Moses from the water, Mary the mother of Jesus, and Muhammad’s daughter Fatima. Many Muslims believe that it was Muhammad’s daughter that appeared in 1917.

5) Roman Catholics want to use ‘Mary’ as part of their interfaith and ecumenical agenda, including for Muslims.

The name Fatima is popular among Roman Catholics as well as Muslims. As it turns out, the latest ‘Miss Universe’ is a Mexican woman named Fatima:

The 25-year-old contestant had walked out of an event earlier in November after a Thai official publicly berated her in front of dozens of contestants and threatened to disqualify those who supported her.

That said, I believe that the popularity of the Fatima apparition stories, and the use of the name Fatima, will help support the coming deception that is prophesied to come to the earth not too many years from now.

The Bible warns that signs and lying wonders will deceive those that do not have the love of the truth (2 Thessalonians 2:9-12). And prophecies in both the Old and New Testaments suggest that a “Lady” who is considered a virgin will be involved in deceit.

Fatima has been a concern for a long time. Notice something that the late Church of God evangelist Raymond McNair wrote:

In the German Süddeutsche Zeitung there was an article in which it was revealed that Pope Paul VI had received a message in Fatima through the only remaining shepherd girl (who is now a nun). They were seen quite some time together and it appeared as if she had something to say to him. When asked in Rome, after his return, if his visit to Fatima was a success, Pope Paul said: ” I went to Fatima to pray for peace to the Virgin Mary and I received the answer how to, achieve this peace.”

There are many rumors that he did receive a message, but he has not wanted to divulge it.

Since the pilgrimage to Fatima, the Pope has spoken out on Jerusalem- demanding it become an international city. What most do not know is that there is evidence the Vatican has plans to move from Rome to Jerusalem … This event will stir the world! It will be the Pope ‘s final effort as the world’s peacemaker! (McNair R. The Real Meaning Behind POPE PAUL’S PILGRIMAGE TO PORTUGAL. Plain Truth, June 1967, pp. 3, 47)

Jerusalem will become increasingly important to Catholics in the near future. The Papacy will, as previously reported in The PLAIN TRUTH, be moved from Rome to Jerusalem … Bible prophecy is very explicit on this point. Furthermore, according to a recent report in a leading German newspaper, the Third Fatima Message is reported (by inside, informed Vatican sources) to reveal that there will be a terrible World War III, during which (according to this Fatima Vision) both Rome and the Vatican will be destroyed! Could this possibly explain why the Vatican will be moved to Jerusalem? (McNair R. POPE MEETS PATRIARCH. Plain Truth, October 1967)

Like me, Raymond McNair (and the old Radio Church of God, who published the above) was aware that Roman Catholic actions can be influenced by Marian apparitions and Greco-Roman Catholic private prophecies. Fatima is more important to the Church of Rome than most non-Catholics realize.

Notice the following warning from a Greek Orthodox Catholic writer that false apparitions claiming to be Mary will lead to people to Antichrist:

“Mother goddesses” known in the ancient world were not just confined to the Near East and Mediterranean but are universal. The Kogi Indians, among whom we lived in Columbia, worship a spirit called Nabuba, the “Ancient Mother.” When Roman Catholics missionaries attempted to evangelize the Kogi in the last century, they used a not-uncommon strategy for drawing pagan peoples into Rome’s fold: rather than explaining the differences between the pagan mysthology and Christian truth, they found “equivalences,” Christ, under this syncretistic view, corresponds to the Kogi Sejukukui (a trickster god who faked his own death by hiding in a cave), while Nabuba is said to be the Virgin Mary. This confusion has led the Kogis to call their pagan temples “cansamaria,” a corruption of “casa de Maria” (house of Mary).

Given these Roman Catholic “evangelistic methods” of more than a century ago, it is it any wonder that contemporary “apparitions” of Mary are invariably accompanied by ecumenistic messages promoting the idea that all religions are equally valid and Orthodox Christianity is but one “path” among many? A recent issue of Orthodox Tradition (1966) contains the account of Matushka (wife of a Russian Orthodox priest) Katherine Swanson’s trip to Medjugorje, Croatia, to investigate the most famous of the recent cases of apparitions of Mary in the Roman Catholic world. In it she recounts a telling episode:

Our guide took our group for an audience with the “seers.” During this audience, a pilgrim asked one of the children the following questions: “Does the Virgin say that the Catholic Church is the true church?” The response given by the child provides clear evidence of the ecumenical content and religious relativism which, oddly enough, increasingly mark the “revelations” at Medjugorje: “Our Blessed Mother says that all religions are equally pleasing to God.“

The Life magazine article, then, is yet another contribution to this line of thought. Given the idea that all paths are equally valid, then all “Marys” are equally valid, too. The author describes several of the Marys of our times: Miearculous Mary (such as at Medjugorje), Mediator Mary (Who, as the author quotes Fr. Andrew Greeley saying, lets people into Heaven through the “back door”), (Editors notes: the Orthodox Church of course never taught about the “back door”, and of course one only prays that this is a matter of a figure of speech, but let us not dwell on the “back door”, but the gates of Paradise, the Kingdom of our God). Mediator Mary of the feminists, and Mother Mary. This last one, Mother Mary, is the role which the author considers the most appealing to non-Catholics: “The emotional need for her is so irresistible to a troubled world that people without an obvious link to the Virgin are being drawn to her. It is known that Muslins revere Mary as a pure and holy saint…Interdenominational Marian prayer groups are springing up throughout the world. Many Protestants, even some who still reject notions of a supernatural Virgin, miss Mary.”

To which Mary are Muslims and Protestants being drawn? The Protestant Reformation rejected the distorted view of Mary which had developed in the West since the Schism of 1054, and which would ultimately result in the Roman Church’s proclamation of their dogma of the Immaculate Conception. But Protestantism did not just reject the Western view of Mary; it ignored Her altogether, in effect denying Her role in the Incarnation and, consequently, the part She plays in our salvation. As Rome began to see her more and more as a “goddess,” a fourth Hypostasis of the Trinity, as it were, the Protestants reacted by down playing Her position and refusing to honor Her at all, this in spite of the Gospel words:“All Generations Shall Call Me Blessed.”

Today, as heterodox Christians become more and more ecumenist and work toward creating a “One World Church,” the search has begun for a Mary of universal recognition, one who will appeal not only to those who bear the name Christian, but apparently to Muslims and others as well, just as attempts are likewise being made to identify the “new Christ” with the Muslim concept of their coming Mahdi and with the Messiah still awaited by the Jews. This, of course, will be no Christ at all but the antichrist.

Notice what Bishop Kennedy of the Celtic Orthodox Church wrote:

The great deceiver of Fatima promises salvation to those who embrace devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary… We can be very certain that God did not send Mary to earth to change God’s eternal plan of salvation. It is just this kind of deceit that leads to other false statements about Mary; Mediatrix of all graces etc. The devil’s deceit is felt far and wide within the Church as is evidenced in the number of well meaning but deceived souls proclaiming Mary is Mediatrix of all graces. How would have such a statement sounded to the Apostles? This salvation we enjoy is from God in Christ; “The man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself as ransom for all”. (1 Timothy 2:1, 3-6 NAB)… We should STOP THE DEVIL in his tracks and proclaim the vision of Fatima to be a fraud, a work of the devil and an abomination to God, Mary and to the Church. The warnings are valid.

Roman Catholic prophecies point to apparitions that they think will be Mary and will usher in one they call ‘the Great Monarch’ who sounds a lot like the King of the North Beast power that the Bible warns against (see The Great Monarch: Biblical and Greco-Roman Catholic Prophecies)–that Beast will be in league with the final Antichrist.

The reality is that pushing for Fatima (including false statues) and various signs and lying wonders will have ramifications in the world according to both Greco-Roman Catholic and biblical (Isaiah 47; Nahum 3:4-5; cf. 2 Thessalonians 2:9-12; Revelation 17 & 18) prophecy. No one should accept false claims about apparitions that many consider to be Jesus’ mother Mary.

False claims about ‘Mary’ are expected to be used as part of the ecumenical and interfaith agendas that the Vatican and others are pushing. Do not fall for them.

On November 21, Catholics of Rome honor their bishop and pontiff Gelasius I.

The Catholic Encyclopedia says the following about him:

Pope Gelasius I (died 19 November 496) was Pope from 1 March 492 to his death in 496…

Despite all the efforts of the otherwise orthodox patriarch, Euphemius of Constantinople, and the threats and wiles by which the Emperor Anastasius tried to obtain recognition from the Apostolic See, Gelasius, though hard-pressed by difficulties at home, would make no peace that compromised in the slightest degree the rights and honor of the Chair of Peter. The constancy with which he combated the pretensions, lay and ecclesiastical, of the New Rome; the resoluteness with which he refused to allow the civil or temporal pre-eminence of a city to determine its ecclesiastical rank; the unfailing courage with which he defended the rights of the “second” and the “third” sees, Alexandria and Antioch, are some of the most striking features of his pontificate. It has been well said that nowhere at this period can be found stronger arguments for the primacy of Peter’s See than in the works and writings of Gelasius…

As a writer Gelasius takes high rank for his period. His style is vigorous and elegant, though occasionally, obscure. The reason I reported about him is because he is believed to have been the first pontiff to be referred to as the “vicar of Christ” (_{Park H. The Roman Catholic Church – A Critical Appraisal. Xulon Press, 2008, pp. 37-38}). not because someone with my last name wrote the best edition about some heresy. However, I personally did write about early catholism in a documented way others have not (see Beliefs of the Original Catholic Church: Could a remnant group have continuing apostolic succession?).

That said, the word vicar comes from a Latin term:

early 14c., from Anglo-French vicare, Old French vicaire “deputy, second in command,” also in the ecclesiastical sense (12c.), from Latin vicarius “a substitute, deputy, proxy,” noun use of adjective vicarius “substituted, delegated,” from vicis “change, interchange, succession; a place, position” (see vicarious). So “Vicar of Christ” means In Substitute of Christ or Instead of Christ.

So what does the expression “anti-Christ” mean?

In English, the word Anti-Christ clearly means one who is opposed or against Christ. And that is consistent with the meaning in the Greek.

But the Greek allows for another definition that seems to be applicable.

The Greek term translated as anti, such as in antichrist in 1 John 2:18, is Strong’s word 473.

The Greek word for Christ, Strong’s word 5547, Christos, means Christ or Messiah.

So, the term Antichrist can mean Opposite of Christ or Instead of Christ.

After Emperor Constantine issued his Edict Against Heretics in 331 A.D., it began to become clearer to those associated with the true Church that perhaps a church proclaiming Christianity and tied into the Roman Empire should be identified with antichrist.

Notice what the Roman Catholic Cardinal Newman wrote about it in the 19th century:

Now, one of the first questions which it is natural to ask on entering upon the subject is, whereas the Pope is said to be Antichrist, sometimes from the fourth, sometimes from the seventh century, when was he first detected and denounced, and by whom?

On this point Dr. Todd supplies us with much information, from which it appears that the belief that the Pope was Antichrist was the conclusion gradually formed and matured out of the belief that the Church of Rome was Babylon, by three heretical bodies, between the eleventh and sixteenth centuries, in consequence of their being submitted to persecution for their opinions:

“In the middle of the eleventh century, numerous emigrants from Thrace and the East had established themselves in the north of Italy, and especially in the neighbourhood of Milan; and some, despising a fixed habitation, or unable to obtain one, itinerated throughout various parts of France and Germany. The doctrines of these sects exhibit various shades of extravagance and error, and appear to have had a close affinity with the Oriental Manichees or Paulicians, from whom they are historically descended…they despised all external religion, ridiculed the office and powers of the priesthood, the efficacy of the Sacraments, and especially the use of baptism.”—Pp. 28-30.

These were the Albigenses, the first of the three independent families of heresy above mentioned…It would appear from these that the Albigenses founded their opposition to the Church on a Manichæan principle, viz., that, as there was an evil deity, and he the author of the visible world, so was he author also of the visible Church, which in consequence was “the devil’s basilica and synagogue of Satan,” and, in the language of the Apocalypse, “the mother of fornications.” (Newman JH. What the Cardinal seems to be teaching is that beginning in the fourth-seventh centuries one or two groups apparently began to feel that the Pontifex Maximus was an antichrist and that one who calls himself Pontifex Maximus may be the final antichrist. The Roman bishops did not refer to themselves by the pagan title of Pontifex Maximus (literally meaning the “greatest bridge-builder” between mortals and the gods) until the late 4th century.

It is likely no coincidence that after bishops of Rome took the title Pontifex Maximus in the late 4th century and “vicar of Christ” in the 5th century that more started to believe that the Bishop of Rome represented the final Antichrist.

Many Greco-Roman Catholic prophecies suggest that it will be a pope, or more precisely an antipope, that will arise and perhaps be the final Antichrist:

Oba Prophecy. “It will come when the Church authorities issue directives to support a new cult, when priests are forbidden to celebrate in any other, when the highest positions in the Church are given to perjurers and hypocrites, when only the renegades are admitted to occupy those positions (Dupont Yves. Catholic Prophecy: The Coming Chastisement. TAN Books, Rockford (IL), p. 115).

Anna-Katarina Emmerick (19th century). “I saw again a new and odd-looking Church which they were trying to build. There was nothing holy about it…(Dupont, p. 116).

Yves Dupont (writer interpreting A. Emmerick), “They wanted to make a new Church, a Church of human manufacture, but God had other designs…An anti-pope shall be set up in Rome” (Dupont, p. 116).

The Prophecy of Premol (5th century) “…And I see the King of Rome and his Cross and his tiara, shaking the dust off of his shoes, and hastening his flight to other shores. Thy Church, O Lord, is torn apart by her own children. One camp is faithful to the fleeing Pontiff, the other is subject to the new government of Rome which has broken the tiara. But Almighty God will, in His mercy, put an end to this confusion and a new age will begin. Then, said the Spirit, this is the beginning of the End of Time.”

Comment: From this prophecy, it is clear that the true Church will be faithful to the Pope in exile; whereas the new Pope in Rome will be, in fact, an anti-pope…a large number of Catholics will be misled into accepting the leadership of the anti-pope. (Dupont, pp. 72-73). {Note the comment is from Dupont personally}.

Jeanne le Royer (d. 1978) I see that when the Second Coming of Christ approaches a bad priest will do much harm to the Church (Culligan, E. The Last World War and the End of Time. The book was blessed by Pope Paul VI, 1966. TAN Books, Rockford (IL), p. 128).

Note: I want to make it clear that consistent with biblical and Greco-Roman Catholic prophecies, I believe that the final Antichrist will pretend to be a Roman Catholic and betray that church (cf. Revelation 17:15-18).

That being said, I do not believe that terms such as reverend (cf. Psalm 111:9, KJV), pontifex maximus (an old pagan title meaning bridge builder), or “vicar of Christ” should be used of leaders who claim to be Christian.

Europe will reach out to various ones in Asia and Africa, as well as Latin America. In the next several years, deals and more trade will occur with Africa, Asia, and Latin America. …

The Europeans will work with many nations to secure stronger trade agreements.

The Europeans already resent the deal. Furthermore, they have a different understanding of the deal than the USA does.

US President Trump imposed tariffs on a global scale. Those tariffs were imposed on friend and foe alike. It seems as if President Trump is no respecter of nations. New Trump peace proposal for Ukraine would require land concessions and military reduction, source says

A new peace proposal for Ukraine drafted by the Trump administration would require the country to cede the eastern Donbas region and to limit the size of its military in exchange for security guarantees from the United States, according to a Western official familiar with the document.

The 28-point plan, which President Donald Trump has reviewed, is the White House’s latest attempt to bring Russia’s war in Ukraine to an end. Some of the proposal’s provisions — including territorial concessions in areas not currently held by Russia — have previously been nonstarters with the Ukrainians. But US officials see a new window of opportunity to restart peace discussions.

The plan is still in the framework stage, and its many points haven’t been finalized. CNN has not reviewed the proposal and has reached out to the White House for comment on it.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio suggested late Wednesday the document was a “list of potential ideas” rather than a completed proposal. …

Still, the proposal in its current form is likely to draw criticism from Ukraine and its backers since it would require significant land concessions. The two regions that form the Donbas, Luhansk and Donetsk, are still partially held by Ukraine.

A US-proposed peace plan for the Russia-Ukraine conflict developed jointly with Moscow requires major concessions from Kiev and would amount to it giving up its sovereignty, Axios and the Financial Times reported on Wednesday. Russia has not confirmed the proposal.

The framework agreement, containing 28 points, was delivered to Kiev this week by US President Donald Trump’s special envoy Steve Witkoff, according to people familiar with the matter, cited by various outlets. The sources said Witkoff made clear that he wanted Vladimir Zelensky to accept the terms.

According to FT, the proposed plan would require Ukraine to relinquish the parts of the new Russian regions in Donbass still under Kiev’s control, cut the size of its armed forces by half and abandon key categories of weaponry. A rollback of US military assistance is included in the framework. One source told FT that accepting the conditions would amount to Ukraine giving up its sovereignty.

The document reportedly also stipulates recognizing Russian as an official state language in Ukraine and granting official status to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, the largest Christian denomination in the country, which Zelensky’s government has cracked down on over its historic ties with Russia. …

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov did not confirm the proposal and said that there is “nothing new” in the US-Russia talks beyond what was discussed between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Trump in Alaska.

Senior Russian negotiator Kirill Dmitriev told Axios, which first reported on the plan, that it was more than a ceasefire arrangement, saying “we feel the Russian position is really being heard.”

Donald Trump warned Ukraine may or may not lose its sovereignty to Russia while claiming that the war-hit nation had agreed to a rare earth minerals deal with the US.

It has been widely believed that Donald Trump would push Ukraine to acknowledge the loss of territory. So, the reported current proposal is no surprise.

Because of prophecies related to the “kings of the Medes” in the Book of Jeremiah, in the Fall of 2013 I wrote that Russia would end up with some territory that Ukraine claimed.

In 2014, Crimea voted to leave Ukraine and become part of Russia. Russia later accepted and annexed the territory, which it had long wanted. Crimea has been a fairly poor region that felt neglected and discriminated against by the western portion of Ukraine. Many in the Donbas region also have felt neglected (or worse) by western Ukraine and have long wanted to be closer to Russia. It should be noted that the USA and some of its allies called the referendum in Crimea to be part of Russia some type of a sham, yet the reality is that the majority in Crimea wanted to be part of Russia. On March 18, 2014, Vladimir Putin signed a treaty to make Crimea part of Russia (https://www.rferl.org/a/putin-to-visit-crimea-to-mark-five-years-since-).

Many of those in Crimea (other than the Tartars) and in the Donbas region believed that they would be better off with Russia who wanted them, than Kiev who claims to want to keep them but apparently had not shown them enough signs that it would truly be able to help them.

The USA would not accept the vote by the Crimeans primarily because it seems to want to stop Russia from expanding. The USA pushed for international sanctions with Europe, many of which still remain, in an effort to hope Russia would release Crimea to Ukraine.

The USA’s position seemed to be based mainly on politics as opposed to its professed belief in democracy.

Even though the USA and many in Europe sanctioned Russia to leave Crimea, on March 18, 2019, I posted:

It remains my view that Crimea and at least parts of eastern Ukraine will ultimately align with Russia.

International sanctions will not stop biblical prophecies from being fulfilled. (Thiel B. ‘Putin in Crimea as Russia Marks Five Years Since Annexation’ the ‘Kings of the Medes’ will arise. COGwriter, March 18, 2019)

And the events of the past few years confirmed my view that sanctions would not stop Russia from having territories align with it. The various sanctions announced by the USA and the Europeans look to be political punishment, as opposed to being announced by those who seriously believe that they will get Russia to cede the Donbas region back to Ukrainian control (it would probably take a pro-Russian government in Kiev for Russia to do that).

Long-time readers of this COGwriter Church of God News page are aware that I have repeatedly told of a time where those in parts of Ukraine and Moldova would end up supporting Russia. For example, here is something from 2014:

As ‘independent states’ Donetsk and Luhansk may enter into some type of joint confederation with each other or Russia. If the forces from Kiev decide to attack, they will likely fight and ask for help from Russia.

Donetsk and Luhansk may vote to be annexed by Russia, like Crimea did. Or at minimum decide to ask to be part of Vladimir Putin’s Eurasian Union.

The Bible has several end time prophecies concerning the Medes (Isaiah 13:17-19) and the kings of the Medes (Jeremiah 51:11, 28-29) that involve military action. Various ones in Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk, Russia, and elsewhere are part of the descendants of the Medes, as likely are some in Moldova.

Several years back, Russia’s president declared he had recognized and accepted the Luhansk People’s Republic and Donetsk People’s Republic as independent nations (see I365: Right before Messiah, US will fight Russia and China will capitalize, rabbinic “prophecy” reveals’ COGwriter: No, that is not what the Bible teaches). Then on 30 September 2022, Vladimir Putin announced the annexation of Ukraine’s Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia areas in an address to both houses of the Russian parliament.

As I posted here in February 2025:

The longer the conflict continues, the less territory that Ukraine will have.

No matter what Ukraine’s leadership currently thinks, at least parts of Ukraine are going to ultimately support Russia (cf. Jeremiah 51:11, 28).

That has been happening.

The Bible foretells a time when the “Kings of the Medes” will get together (Jeremiah 51:11, 28)–and some now have. Many in Russia, Ukraine, and even Moldova have descent from the ancient Medes.

On the Sabbath of February 5, 2022, which was before Russia’s troops entered Ukraine, I did a sermonette where I mentioned that lands associated with Ukraine would end up being confederate with Russia:

The situation between Russia and Ukraine has again heated up, although it has been tense since the Euromaiden protests and Russia’s annexation of Crimea. There was later a separation of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church from the Russian Orthodox Church. Is war prophesied for Russia and Ukraine? Are prophecies in the Bible associated with the ‘kings of the Medes’ and a power from the “north country” related to any in Russia and Ukraine? Is a confederation of powers from the north, east, and central Asia prophesied to destroy the coming end time European Babylon? Will the destruction be reminiscent of what happened to Sodom and Gomorrah? How is the King of the North and who will destroy him? Do those in Russia and Ukraine have a hope of salvation? Will Russia and powers of the east be involved in the gathering in Armageddon as prophesied in Revelation 16? Dr. Thiel addresses these issues.

Since that came out, more territories that Ukraine once controlled are now controlled by Russia.

While Ukraine has put up a lot of resistance to Russia’s Special Military Operation, Russia is larger and has more troops, etc.

Many seem to forget that Russia has a lot of nuclear weapons and could use them in Ukraine if it thought Ukraine was going to push Russia completely out.

Remember that Jesus taught:

31 Or what king, going to make war against another king, does not sit down first and consider whether he is able with ten thousand to meet him who comes against him with twenty thousand? 32 Or else, while the other is still a great way off, he sends a delegation and asks conditions of peace. (Luke 14:31-32)

Ukraine may wish to reconsider where it is at to see if now it believes it should attempt to make a deal with Russia, despite it and much of Europe being angry with Russia.

The European Union is pushing back against a 28-point plan to end the war in Ukraine, reportedly being drafted behind closed doors by the US and Russia, demanding that any diplomatic attempt must have Kyiv and European leaders at the table.

The plan, first reported by US outlet Axios, is said to include terms that would be highly disadvantageous for Ukraine, such as the complete surrender of the Donbas, which Russian forces have failed to entirely control, and limitations on the armed forces.

The revelations emerged in the lead-up to a meeting of EU foreign affairs ministers in Brussels, where Russia’s war of aggression dominated the agenda.

“What we, as Europeans, have always supported is a long-lasting and just peace, and we welcome any efforts to achieve that,” High Representative for Foreign Affairs Kaja Kallas told reporters on Thursday morning. “Of course, for any plan to work, you need Ukrainians and Europeans on board. This is very clear. …

Asked if there had been any European engagement in writing the reported plan, Kallas said: “Not that I know of.”

Dutch Foreign Minister David van Weel also confirmed Europe’s non-participation.

“No, we have not been involved in the plan. I don’t know if Ukraine has been involved in the plan. But what’s important for us is that whatever peace plan is on the table, Ukraine is behind it,” van Weel said.

“Without the buy-in of Ukraine, you won’t get the support of the Europeans.”

France’s Jean-Noël Barrot and Denmark’s Lars Løkke Rasmussen, … “You can’t bring peace to Ukraine without the Ukrainians and the Europeans,” Rasmussen told reporters.  …

News of the US-Russia plan has brought back uncomfortable questions on whether the EU risks being sidelined in the peace process, …

Since Trump’s re-election, the bloc has been alternately involved and excluded from the debate, fuelling the impression that Americans do not care about its views. …

Lithuania’s Kęstutis Budrys, adding Europe would take an active role in the “new phase” should there be one and defend the principles of sovereignty and territorial integrity.

So, Donald Trump is once again upsetting the Europeans and they are wondering if the USA cares for its views. Well, the simple answer is that Donald Trump feels that the USA has the power and the Europeans have to put up with what he wants.

He has done so and caused much anger in Europe.[iv] He later upset them by being perhaps the best known non-UK supporter of Brexit.

In an online interview on November 13, 2024, former Greek Minister of Finance, Yanis Varoufakis, asserted that:

Donald Trump sees the European Union as a clear and present danger to the United States …

He has an agenda… essentially to make Brexit spread all over the European continent. [v]

Yanis Varoufakis also asserted that Donald Trump wants to break the European Union, so Europe needs to see Donald Trump as a threat and take action. [vi] Donald Trump reportedly wants Brexit to be a success for the UK as part of his plans to perhaps divide the European Union.[vii]

Well, one of the unintended consequences of Donald Trump’s hopes for Europe is that more in Europe want increased unity.[viii]

Many leaders also want more military strength.[ix] …

The Bible teaches about a great power who will be destroyed by its friends, who become enemies (Lamentations 1:1-2)—some statements by Donald Trump are pushing “friends” (NATO allies) into being enemies. …

As I stated on the radio back in 2016, I believe that Europe will cooperate with the USA as long as it feels the relationship is beneficial, and then (as prophecy foretells) turn against the USA (cf. Daniel 11:39; Lamentations 1:1-2). …

The USA will be attacked by “friends” consistent with the following:

That was full of people!

How like a widow is she,

Who was great among the nations!

The princess among the provinces

Has become a slave!

Notice the one who was “great among the nations” will be conquered by friends, who will become enemies.

The USA was prophesied to be “great” in Genesis 48:19 and is considered by international sources to be great among the nations of the world today.[x] …

Yes, many of the founders of the United States were Freemasons.

Yes, there are a lot of Freemason symbols associated with the government of the United States (including buildings and the layouts of many in Washington, D.C.).

Yes, there can be connections between the “eye” on the seal and various “evil eye” uses in Satanic paganism.

While, Novus Ordo Seculorum can imply “New World Order,” literally it means the “New Order of the Centuries.”

But no, neither the United States nor its seal are the Beast, the Mark of the Beast, nor 666.

Before going further, over a decade ago, someone claimed that the Great Seal, as well as Jesus, pointed to the Apocalypse starting in 2012. That was wrong and I denounced it at that time (see ‘Great Seal’ Does Not Predict 2012).

While the United States does have a lot of pagan symbols, it simply is not the Beast of Revelation.

World history, as well as various scriptures, point to this being a European power.

This Beast power is European and has connections to a particular sea. Notice:

1 Then I stood on the sand of the sea. And I saw a beast rising up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten crowns, and on his heads a blasphemous name. 2 Now the beast which I saw was like a leopard, his feet were like the feet of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion. The dragon gave him his power, his throne, and great authority. 3 And I saw one of his heads as if it had been mortally wounded, and his deadly wound was healed. And all the world marveled and followed the beast. 4 So they worshiped the dragon who gave authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?” (Revelation 13:1-4)

2 Daniel spoke, saying, “I saw in my vision by night, and behold, the four winds of heaven were stirring up the Great Sea. 3 And four great beasts came up from the sea, each different from the other. 4 The first was like a lion, and had eagle’s wings. I watched till its wings were plucked off; and it was lifted up from the earth and made to stand on two feet like a man, and a man’s heart was given to it.   5 “And suddenly another beast, a second, like a bear. It was raised up on one side, and had three ribs in its mouth between its teeth. And they said thus to it: ‘Arise, devour much flesh!’   6 “After this I looked, and there was another, like a leopard, which had on its back four wings of a bird. The beast also had four heads, and dominion was given to it.  7 “After this I saw in the night visions, and behold, a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, exceedingly strong. It had huge iron teeth; it was devouring, breaking in pieces, and trampling the residue with its feet. It was different from all the beasts that were before it, and it had ten horns.  (Daniel 7:2-7)

The “Great Sea” that bordered the ancient lands of Israel (Numbers 34:6-7; Joshua 1:4; 9:1; 23:4; Ezekiel 47:13-16) is the Mediterranean Sea–and that is the sea that Daniel was referring to. Despite some false claims by some, the Beast power is not a place like the United States which does not border the Mediterranean Sea, but Europe which does.

Furthermore Revelation 17 talks of the rise of seven/eight kings of the Beast:

7 But the angel said to me, “Why did you marvel? I will tell you the mystery of the woman and of the beast that carries her, which has the seven heads and the ten horns.

8 The beast that you saw was, and is not, and will ascend out of the bottomless pit and go to perdition. And those who dwell on the earth will marvel, whose names are not written in the Book of Life from the foundation of the world, when they see the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.

9 “Here is the mind which has wisdom: The seven heads are seven mountains on which the woman sits. 10 There are also seven kings. Five have fallen, one is, and the other has not yet come. And when he comes, he must continue a short time. 11 The beast that was, and is not, is himself also the eighth, and is of the seven, and is going to perdition. (Revelation 17:7-11).

We do not see that in the history of the United States, but we do in Europe.

The Bible teaches that Europe will reorganize to become a dictatorship:

12 “The ten horns which you saw are ten kings who have received no kingdom as yet, but they receive authority for one hour as kings with the beast. 13 These are of one mind, and they will give their power and authority to the beast. (Revelation 17:12-13)

Related to 666, the Bible prophesies:

15 He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed. 16 He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, 17 and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

18 Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666. (Revelation 13:15-18)
