The European Central Bank (ECB) is increasing the amount of its COVID-19 bailout as the Associated Press (AP) reports:
European Central Bank nearly doubles pandemic support scheme

FRANKFURT, Germany (AP) — The European Central Bank has boosted its pandemic emergency support program by an unexpectedly large 600 billion euros to 1.35 trillion euros ($1.5 trillion) in an effort to keep affordable credit flowing to the economy during the steep downturn caused by the virus outbreak.
The new stimulus comes on top of added spending by European governments and similar stimulus efforts by the U.S. Federal Reserve, the Bank of England, the Bank of Japan and other central banks around the globe as the world tries to cope with a sharp, simultaneous blow to both developing and rich economies.
The central bank for the 19 countries that use the euro also extended its monetary stimulus program to at least the end of June next year, from the end of 2020 currently. https://apnews.com/e5600357bfb67ca84b5f2c716d86eb08
COVID-19 is not the only economic problem facing the European Union.

June is a critical month for EU-UK talks on a trade deal. If no progress is made this month, a no-deal Brexit looks inevitable. Is it possible that’s because of, rather than in spite of, the coronavirus crisis?
On June 23, four years will have passed since the momentous Brexit vote. For more than three of those years, a “no-deal Brexit” perpetually loomed as a distinct and disastrous possibility.
The sting was seemingly taken out of that doomsday scenario last October when British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and his Irish counterpart Leo Varadkar struck a deal of sorts on arrangements regarding the British border on the island of Ireland. …
Then, as if by the design of some demonic deity, almost as soon as Brexit finally happened, the worst global pandemic in a century struck. It has hit the EU and Britain especially hard. Leaving mass death and economic calamity in its wake, COVID-19 has understandably dominated every agenda this year.
Yet Brexit trundles on. And despite that apparent new dawn late last year, the no-deal scenario is back, except this time in a more permanent form. …
Some have argued that hardline Brexiteers in the UK government will use the economic disaster wrought by the pandemic as a kind of fog in which the economic consequences of a no-deal Brexit might be more easily cloaked than they would in “normal” times. To borrow the dictum of a Machiavellian character from the hit TV show Game Of Thrones: “Chaos is a ladder.” …
The serious economic consequences of a no-deal Brexit are well-known at this stage. Yet if the British government is to avoid it becoming part of a surreal backdrop to the already surreal reality of the pandemic, it needs to act fast.
According to the Withdrawal Agreement, it can request a two-year extension, which would give the sides until December 2022 to negotiate a deal. However, it must make that request within the next four weeks. One statement above perhaps should be highlighted. That is: as if by the design of some demonic deity, almost as soon as Brexit finally happened, the worst global pandemic in a century struck.
Actually, the pandemic was not nearly as severe as projected, but governmental reactions around the world (including ‘totalitarian’ ones) caused it to have massive economic impact. As various ones have pointed out, in essence, a “self-inflicted wound” to the economy.
As far as demonic involvement, consider the following two scriptures:
19 … the whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one. (1 John 5:19)
4 whose minds the god of this age has blinded … (2 Corinthians 4:4)
So, yes, Satan may very well have swayed world leaders to inflict so much economic damage related to their response to COVID-19.
Why might Satan have done that?
Because he and his demons are prophesied to be involved with the Beast and False Prophet (Antichrist) that will arise in Europe and lead to Armageddon:
13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs coming out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. 14 For they are spirits of demons, performing signs, which go out to the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.
15 “Behold, I am coming as a thief. Blessed is he who watches, and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked and they see his shame.”
16 And they gathered them together to the place called in Hebrew, Armageddon. (Revelation 16:13-16)
Could this ECB bailout, the USA’s stimulus programs, COVID-19 responses, and Brexit trigger a major banking crisis in the USA and Europe?
Interestingly, the late Pastor General of the old Worldwide Church of God, Herbert W. Armstrong, had a view about banking matters and European unity. Here is something he said in a sermon on July 7, 1984:
And I can see now, the event that is going to trigger the formation of the reunification in Europe; the resurrection of the medieval Holy Roman Empire that we’ve been looking forward to that is prophesied to come…
But I believe that some event is going to happen suddenly just like out a blue sky that is going to shock the whole world and is going to cause the nations in Europe to realize they must unite! … Well now I think I can see what may be the very event that is going to trigger…that is the economic situation in the world…
The whole banking structure in the United States is a network all jointed together. But not only that, one nation has to deal with other nations and imports and exports. And so they have to have a means of transforming money from one nation to another. And so the banking structure is international and interwoven…
Now when the financial structure breaks down, all civilization is going to break down…
So, an economic or banking crisis is what Herbert W. Armstrong concluded would drive Europe to unite. Satan certainly could be behind that.
And, I agree that it will take some type of crisis for Europe to reorganize. Yet, a major reorganization is prophesied to happen and push Europe under totalitarian control:
12 “The ten horns which you saw are ten kings who have received no kingdom as yet, but they receive authority for one hour as kings with the beast. 13 These are of one mind, and they will give their power and authority to the beast. (Revelation 17:12-13)
Problems with the ECB, derivatives, the US dollar, and/or Brexit may all be factors that will get Europe to decide to reorganize and support a dictator that the Bible calls the Beast.
