Financial Times reported the following:

Coalitions of the willing are Europe’s path to ever closer union

16 November 2025

If the US’s motto — “out of many, one” — sounds hopelessly aspirational in Trump’s divided America, the EU’s could be seen as an oxymoron. “United in diversity” clashes against the received wisdom that diversity is what prevents common solutions. Some may even say that fragmented rivalry was such a key to Europe’s past successes that it has become an ineradicable obstacle to further progress. But what if diversity is the road to unity, rather than a block to be overcome? We hear a lot about “coalitions of the willing” these days …

Coalitions of the willing, in deed if not in name, are emerging. Some EU expansions into new policy areas — notably “permanent structured co-operation” in defence — have been undertaken without full participation. Nineteen out of 27 countries have taken up the “Safe” scheme of common EU loans for jointly procured defence spending. https://www.ft.com/content/370fe0b4-6896-4f24-9787-eb68dec071fe

Yes, we are seeing many in Europe getting together militarily and economically.

Plus, the EU wants to expand. Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul is to travel to the Balkans to meet with six nations about being part of the EU (https://www.dw.com/en/germany-news-fm-wadephul-heads-for-western-balkans/live-74756416). Related to EU expansion, we put out the following video:

EU Enlargement of the Beast?

The European Union recently approved its “2025 Enlargement Package”. This means the European Union is continuing to give consideration for inclusion of other countries into its political, military, and economic bloc. Why would the European Union want to do this? The saying “Might makes Right” come to mind. Is it possible the inclusion of the population of other countries along with the increased population, trade, and economic clout would increase the might, of not only the European Union, but also power and economies of the nations being included? Has the growth of Europe, starting with the Benelux nations, already primarily expanded towards the south and the east such as is prophesied for the ‘little horn’ of Daniel 8? Does the EU want the rest of the Balkan nations, which are also basically south and east of Benelux, to be part of it? Will this new Union really be stronger in the long run? If new nations do join the European Union, will they remain joined? So, who cares if other nations join the European Union? Who cares if the EU will be stronger or not? Well, what if Biblical prophecies were being fulfilled? Would anyone care then? Would it matter to you if the European Union plays a major role in Biblical prophecy? What if the European Union was the sixth king of Rev 17:10 would you care then? What if Europe will reorganize and be controlled by the ‘666’ Beast? Would you be concerned? You should be. Here’s the link to our free eBook, “Lost Tribes and Prophecies”, offered in this video that offers much more information on the European Union, the King of the North, and the Beast of the Sea.  If you don’t understand the role of the European Union in Bible prophecy, you need to watch this video. The European Union and the Beast of the Sea, listen as Dr. Thiel shines the light of Biblical prophecy on current world events. The time grows shorter.

Yes, the European Union wants to enlarge.

Notice the following article:

The future of the world is being shaped in Europe, says German Chancellor Friedrich Merz

16 November 2025

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz (CDU) on Saturday stressed Europe’s strategic importance, saying that the future of the world is being shaped on the continent.

Speaking to the German youth at the Young Union (Junge Union)’s Germany Day conference in Rust, Baden-Württemberg, Merz said this was not just about the European Union but the principles guiding the coexistence of people on the continent.

“The future of the world is created in Europe,” said Merz. “I would like to finalise this thought with you. What does that mean? We are not just looking at ourselves. We are not just looking at the European Union. We are looking at a political model. We are looking at a principle. We are looking at fundamental decisions on how we want to live together.”

Merz, however, stressed that the principles guiding the European Union model are not extinct amidst the growing challenge of authoritarian leadership.

In this European Union, we are distancing ourselves from dogmatic socialism and communism, from compartmentalised markets, and—according to Merz—”from an authoritarian style of leadership.”

“If we don’t get it right now, if we leave it to the nationalists to shape this Europe and basically abandon it, then one day we will have to be told that we have failed history.”

This European Union also distances itself from all those “who believe that they can guarantee the security and prosperity of their own people with closed markets.”

Merz also declared war on bureaucratisation: “That is precisely why I am so committed to keeping this European Union together. Not the way it works now, not with this over-bureaucratisation. This is not how the European single market was intended: a flood of regulations that basically only expresses mistrust towards citizens and companies.” https://www.euronews.com/2025/11/16/the-future-of-the-world-is-being-shaped-in-europe-says-german-chancellor-friedrich-merz

The European Union has not been pleased with the US, and yes it wants to lead the world.

Plus, it has moving towards a new world order without US leadership.

Notice something from this past Spring:

‘The West as we knew it no longer exists,’ von der Leyen says amid Trump tensions

16 April 2025

“The West as we knew it no longer exists,” Ursula von der Leyen has declared amid rapidly deteriorating relations with the United States under Donald Trump’s administration, which has forced Europe to look elsewhere for allies and partners. …

Asked if America was a friend, a former friend or an opponent, the Commission chief avoided “these kinds of classifications” while admitting the relation was “complicated”. …

“Europe is still a peace project. …, there are twelve countries on the waiting list to become members of the European Union. That’s about 150 million people,” she said, referring to the accession process. … https://www.euronews.com/my-europe/2025/04/16/the-west-as-we-knew-it-no-longer-exists-von-der-leyen-says-amid-trump-tensions

World wants more trade with Europe since Trump-driven uncertainty, von der Leyen says

Commission president says Europe is “wide awake” to possibilities of “new world order.”

Europe wants to lead a coming new world order and, frankly, it wants the United States out of the way.

“A New World Order With European Values.” Emblazoned across banners and signs, those words met the participants at … the World Forum in Berlin. …

The very notion of a “New World Order” is chilling to many who oppose the rise of a globalist class with the rise of transnational governance in the European Union and beyond. …

given the current laws limiting political speech, a “New World Order Based on European Values” is hardly an inviting prospect for those who believe in robust democratic and free speech values. https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/new-world-order-european-values-unholy-union-globalism-and-anti-free-speech-measures

Well, a European “new world order” that will not be democratic will be put in place–and despite Chancellor Merz’s hopes, it WILL be authoritarian (which can be an effective way to reduce bureaucracy).

How will that happen?

Well, for one, the EU is making trade deals all over the world as more nations are contacting it to do so because of US tariffs and tariff threats.

As far as Europe establishing that new order militarily, here are some scriptures and comments in my my latest book available at Amazon Kindle: Unintended Consequences and Donald Trump’s Presidency: Is Donald Trump Fulfilling Biblical, Islamic, Greco-Roman Catholic, Buddhist, and other America-Related Prophecies? as well as Amazon print Unintended Consequences and Donald Trump’s Presidency: Is Donald Trump Fulfilling Biblical, Islamic, Greco-Roman Catholic, Buddhist, and other America-Related Prophecies?:

Daniel 11 … 39 Thus he shall act against the strongest fortresses with a foreign god, which he shall acknowledge, and advance its glory; and he shall cause them to rule over many, and divide the land for gain.

The “he” is the King of the North. The two Hebrew words translated as “the strongest fortresses” in verse 39 do not appear together anywhere else in the Bible.

Something is, thus, unique here. Notice another translation which is similar:

39 Claiming this foreign god’s help, he will attack the strongest fortresses. He will honor those who submit to him, appointing them to positions of authority and dividing the land among them as their reward. (Daniel 11:39, New Living Translation, 2007)

Who has the strongest fortresses?

Looking further down in this chapter in Daniel, we must eliminate the King of the South, because that King is not attacked until later (the next verse). We must also eliminate those in the North and East, as they do not get involved until later (verse 44).

Neither the rest of Africa nor Latin America has anything resembling “the strongest fortresses.” The strongest fortresses belong to the United States, and to a much lesser degree, its English-speaking allies. Thus, in current times, Daniel 11:39 looks to be describing when the Anglo-English-American nations are being destroyed. Some might refer to this as WWIII.

Once the USA and the other ‘Five Eyes’ are out of the way, the King of the North will likely declare that a new world order of peace has been ushered in. That is consistent with Jeremiah 6:14–15a, which is a warning about peace statements from one associated with abomination. …

Divided with Whom?

As far as lands being divided by this leader goes, it is likely that Mexico will regain at least some of the lands it had ceded to the USA. It would seem like Russia would end up with at least part of Alaska and perhaps part of Canada. The Irish would be expected to control Northern Ireland (and perhaps other lands controlled by the United Kingdom). Some Mexicans, Russians, and Irish have called for this.

Because of USA debts, a Russian professor named Igor Panarin predicted that the Europeans, Russians, Mexicans, Japanese, and Chinese may end up dividing the land of the USA in the 21st century. …

The Bible, itself, teaches that the Assyrians will be used to punish “an hypocritical nation” (or hypocritical people, as the Hebrew can be translated as is done in Bishops’ Bible of 1568) that refuses to repent:

5 O Assyrian, the rod of mine anger, and the staff in their hand is mine indignation. 6 I will send him against an hypocritical nation (Isaiah 10:5–6, KJV).

1 … Israel … 3 … Ephraim 5 … the Assyrian shall be his king, Because they refused to repent. (Hosea 11:1,3,5)

Christians all need to recall that when Jesus came, He clearly condemned the hypocritical religious leaders of His day (e.g. Luke 11:44), more directly than he condemned the physically more obvious sinners (Matthew 9:10–13).

This is not to say that non-Anglo-Saxon-Celtic nations do not have sin or that they will not be punished. The European Assyrians will clearly also be punished, per Isaiah 10:12-19, but the punishment will begin first on those who should have known better. That is, the punishment will begin on those who have claimed to live rightly, but have repeatedly failed to do so. Those who were the people of the covenant with Israel should have striven to be faithful. Those who receive biblical blessings should not be surprised when they receive biblical curses for disobedience (cf. Deuteronomy 28:1-68).

While the gospel warning message will be made fairly clear to the English-speaking peoples by the “Philadelphia Christians,” prior to Daniel 11:39, because the British-American nations are not likely to heed that warning, they will have to answer for their relative lack of response (cf. Ezekiel 33:7-9) and their survivors will be taken captive (cf. Habakkuk 2:7). …

Yet, instead of being worried about this coming Beast power, the USA and some of the other British-descended powers, seem to be encouraging the development of a major power in Europe.[i] This is something that the British-American peoples will come to later regret. …

The Book of Revelation teaches:

8 All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. (Revelation 13:8)

The “him” above is the Babylonian European Beast.

The “prince of the power of the air” (Ephesians 2:2) has worked to set the stage for this Beast to have secular and religious supporters of various types.

Secular organizations such as the World Economic Forum (WEF),[ii] United Nations,[iii] and the Bilderberg Group[iv] all support a type of an ecumenical-interfaith-merged religion, allowing for certain differences, yet possibly writing their own holy book with artificial intelligence! [v] They all promote what could be called a ‘globalist’ agenda, consistent with biblical prophecies (e.g. Revelation 17:1-5).

The European Union does as well, however, its view is that Europe should lead a coming “new world order.”[vi]

An unintended consequence of Donald Trump is that his presence has tended to push various globalist groups closer together. This will not stop with him as 47th President of the USA. …

By not appreciating warnings contained in biblical prophecies, many are pushing in a direction that will end in death and destruction that the Bible says to flee from (cf. Revelation 18:2-19).

The Europeans have long wanted to run the world.

Now, with policies and statements from Donald Trump and his Administration, the top leaders in Europe are speaking out publicly about their desire for a new world order that they wish to lead.

While Europe is not yet the Beast of Revelation 13:3-10, its leaders are taking steps towards that.

After more than 80 years, Germany once again has a Führer who is in no way inferior to the old one in terms of mendacity and megalomania … Friedrich Merz … 03/23/25 https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/fuhrer-germany-friedrich-merz-war-spending-frenzy

Friedrich Merz: The man Europe has been waiting for

Friedrich Merz, Germany’s new chancellor, …

Mr Merz has ushered in a paradigm shift already.

This is most pronounced on defence and security, with Germany now poised to take on unprecedented amounts of debt to help rebuild its military and the wider European arms industry. … “Germany is back,” Mr Merz declared  …

“It is a clear, strong and clear signal to our citizens, and to Europe, that Germany is getting a strong and capable government.”” (https://www.yahoo.com/news/friedrich-merz-man-europe-waiting-161655776.html).

While I do NOT believe that Germany’s Friedrich Merz is like Führer Adolf Hitler, the Bible points to a reorganization coming to Europe that will result in a dictator:

12 “The ten horns which you saw are ten kings who have received no kingdom as yet, but they receive authority for one hour as kings with the beast. 13 These are of one mind, and they will give their power and authority to the beast. (Revelation 17:12-13)

Europe will reorganize.

The European new world order will be militaristic (Revelation 13:3-4), brutal (Revelation 13:15), with totalitarian controls (Revelation 13:16-18):

3 And I saw one of his heads as if it had been mortally wounded, and his deadly wound was healed. And all the world marveled and followed the beast. 4 So they worshiped the dragon who gave authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?”

5 And he was given a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies, and he was given authority to continue for forty-two months.  (Revelation 13:3-5)

15 He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed. 16 He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, 17 and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

18 Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666.  (Revelation 13:15-18)

The so-called ‘Holy Roman Empire’ was mortally wounded, but has began to rise again in Europe (see also The European Union and the Seven Kings of Revelation 17).

There will be a new world order.

It will be led by someone worse than the Führer called Adolf Hitler.

Pushing Europe towards it being militaristic is one of the many unintended consequences of the Trump-Vance Administration.

Europe wants to lead a new world order

Many political analysts are commenting on the total melt down of the European Union. Many feel Europe has lost all power, wealth and influence in the world. Is Europe really dead? Will it crumble and fall apart into separate countries as some say? How does Europe feel about its future. Do they have the same feelings as many political analysts? Or does Europe feel confident about its future? In fact, is it even possible that Europe feels so confident about its future that it feels it is ready to take the lead in developing a “new world order,” with Europe as the central power? Listen as Dr. Thiel sheds the light of Biblical Prophecy on the mortal head wound of Rev 13:3. Could that mortal wound relate to Europe? If so, how? What about Europe’s relationship with the United States. Does Europe still consider the USA a friend and ally? Learn what Europe and its new allies do to the United States and the “Five Eyes”! Dan 11:39 he shall cause them to rule over many, and divide the land for gain – Who rules over many? Who divides the land for gain? What land do they divide? The time is at hand! As we rapidly approach the end times listen in as Dr. Thiel brings to light world events. This includes the world events leading to the “new world order” the fate of the USA.

Here is a link to our video: Europe wants to lead a new world order.

A new world order is in the process of being formed.

It will not be nice, but according to biblical prophecies, it will be led by a European dictator until Jesus returns (Revelation 17:12-13).

Remember that “he who endures to the end shall be saved” (Matthew 24:13) and pray for God’s kingdom to come (Matthew 6:10).

Deutsche Welle reported the following:

Germany news: FM Wadephul heads for Western Balkans

Emmy Sasipornkarn | Timothy Jones dpa, AFP, Reuters, AP, epd, KNA

Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul is to travel to the Balkans, where he is scheduled to meet with the Serbian president, among other leaders.

What you need to know

German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul is starting a tour of six Western Balkan countries.

The trip is to center on those countries’ aspirations to join the EU. https://www.dw.com/en/germany-news-fm-wadephul-heads-for-western-balkans/live-74756416

Does the European Union want to expand?

Related to that, the Continuing Church of God put together the following video on our Bible News Prophecy YouTube channel:

14:17

UK, Switzerland, Android, and USA using more facial recognition–totalitarian ‘666’?

ZeroHedge posted the following:

New Facial Recognition Vans Rolled Out For Use By 7 More UK Police Forces

November 15, 2025

A new fleet of facial recognition vans are to be rolled out by seven police forces across the UK in an expanded pilot programme.

The Metropolitan Police, South Wales Police and Essex Police have been using the facial recognition vans for some time to mixed receptions.

The software enables officers to use cameras mounted on top of their vans to locate people on their watchlists by filming the surrounding area.

Home Office funding has been provided for new facial recognition vans in Greater Manchester, West Yorkshire, Bedfordshire, Surrey, Sussex, Thames Valley and Hampshire.

The Met released a report last month which said that from September 2024 to September 2025 the software had a false alert rate of 0.0003 percent from more than three million scans.

Civil liberties and anti-racism groups criticised the software for having a “well-documented history of inaccurate outcomes and racial bias” ahead of the Notting Hill Carnival this year.

In response, the Metropolitan Police Commissioner Sir Mark Rowley acknowledged that the software was “limited” when it was used at the Carnival in 2016 and 2017 but has made “considerable progress” since then. …

The police watchlists uploaded to the van are bespoke and will include details and photos of wanted people and people subject to court orders like sex offenders.

If their faces are scanned by the van’s cameras it will alert the officer to the match, and they can verify whether the comparison is correct and take action. https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/new-facial-recognition-vans-rolled-out-use-7-more-uk-police-forces

So, the cameras are getting more and more accurate. Now, in addition to the cameras all over London, the police have vans seeking people to arrest.

Android phones are to have more accurate facial recognition cameras as well:

Facial authentication on Android is about to get much better

November 15, 2025

Face unlock on Android isn’t as secure as using your fingerprint, and it isn’t for lack of trying either. …

Thankfully, facial recognition tech is about to get a much-needed upgrade. Metalenz is a U.S. fabless optics company that works on biometric security, and its Polar ID tech is now in mass production. The tech was initially showcased two years ago, and it uses a custom imaging system that uses polarization sensing to deliver a secure face unlock solution. https://www.androidcentral.com/phones/facial-authentication-on-android-is-about-to-get-much-better

Switzerland is looking at implementing more facial recognition surveillance:

Switzerland closer to facial recognition at airports

November 14, 2025

Swiss airports and airlines may soon be permitted to deploy facial recognition.

On Wednesday, the Federal Council adopted proposed amendments to the Aviation Act, which establish a legal framework for processing biometric personal data at airports. The legislation is now headed for approval by the Parliament.

The technology would serve as an alternative to traditional security procedures at automated checkpoints, including bag drops, check-in counters, boarding pass verification, and aircraft boarding. The Federal Council says the measure aims to expedite passenger processing and reduce bottlenecks at airport security.

Geneva Airport has already expressed interest in biometric check-ins. The airport has deployed biometric hardware from SITA but left the biometric capability switched off, pending regulatory authorization. Zurich Airport also has face biometric gates operational at customs.

Attempts from Swiss airports to introduce biometric screening have previously been met with criticism over privacy. https://www.biometricupdate.com/202511/switzerland-closer-to-facial-recognition-at-airports

The USA is planning new steps with facial recognition next month (see Trump Administration implementing ‘invasive’ facial recognition effective December 26, 2025– the ‘666’ Beast is expected to do more).

As reported here in September, China, Pakistan, and others are already using USA and EU technology for their implementation of massive facial recognition surveillance– an unintended consequence of the newest moves by the Trump Administration will likely be adapted by nations as well as the coming ‘666’ Beast power–who will do even more (cf. Revelation 13:15-18).

The Trump Administration sounds like Orwellian and 666 type surveillance, particularly when we consider that there are surveillance cameras in more and more locations around the world.

Modern cameras can take sufficiently high-resolution photographs that, at precise distances that make most of our faces unique, can be measured in a way to make remote identification possible on billions of people. China has proven this works, while the USA and Europeans are implementing more of this in their lands. It will, one day, apparently be used against true Christians (cf. Daniel 7:25).

The “grand challenge” is to allow totalitarian surveillance in all public places (and probably private ones too).

This is another type of Orwellian step.

Why mention George Orwell?

Front Cover of the First (1949) Edition of ‘1984’

In his book 1984, the society he warned about had surveillance cameras all over and they recognized individual people. What is starting to happen now is actually more widespread than his book warned about. There will be even more surveillance than George Orwell anticipated–and in places like China that already may be the case.

Europe does not seem to want to lag in this area.

Bible prophecy warns about a European power, identified as the King of the North? in Daniel 11:40, that will have a tremendous amount of control and even understand secret/hidden things:

23 ‘And in the latter end of their kingdom, about the perfecting of the transgressors, stand up doth a king, fierce of face, and understanding hidden things; (Daniel 8:23, Young’s Literal Translation)

That leader eventually will destroy places like the USA, UK, and Canada consistent with the following:

24 His power shall be mighty, but not by his own power;
He shall destroy fearfully,
And shall prosper and thrive;
He shall destroy the mighty, and also the holy people.

25 “Through his cunning
He shall cause deceit to prosper under his rule;
And he shall exalt himself in his heart.
He shall destroy many in their prosperity. (Daniel 8:24-25, NKJV)

He will eliminate the USA and its British-descended allies. But he will also want to control all that he can.

Notice more about the Beast:

1 Then I stood on the sand of the sea. And I saw a beast rising up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten crowns, and on his heads a blasphemous name. 2 Now the beast which I saw was like a leopard, his feet were like the feet of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion. The dragon gave him his power, his throne, and great authority. … 6 Then he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme His name, His tabernacle, and those who dwell in heaven. 7 It was granted to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them. And authority was given him over every tribe, tongue, and nation. 8 All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. (Revelation 13:1-2, 6-8)

25 He shall speak pompous words against the Most High,
Shall persecute the saints of the Most High,
And shall intend to change times and law.
Then the saints shall be given into his hand
For a time and times and half a time. (Daniel 7:25)

To accomplish that, the European Beast leader would seemingly also employ facial-recognition software to identify saints he will persecute.

Additionally, he will work with a religious leader, biblically called the Antichrist, in order to attain the worship and control he demands:

11 Then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth, and he had two horns like a lamb and spoke like a dragon. 12 And he exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence, and causes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. 13 He performs great signs, so that he even makes fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men. 14 And he deceives those who dwell on the earth by those signs which he was granted to do in the sight of the beast, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who was wounded by the sword and lived.

(Revelation 13:11-18)

It will take modern technology, probably aided with artificial intelligence, to result in the fulfillment of the above scriptures, and this looks to also include surveillance to insure people will worship the Beast. 666 surveillance is being set up.

Jesus warned Christians to flee persecution:

23 When they persecute you in this city, flee to another. For assuredly, I say to you, you will not have gone through the cities of Israel before the Son of Man comes (Matthew 10:23).

Facial recognition may well be a factor in fleeing from multiple cities.

The world in general, and Europe in particular is moving more and more towards becoming a totalitarian state.

When will this fully be in place?

After the Gospel of the Kingdom of God has sufficiently reached the world the end comes and the Beast will rise up (Matthew 24:14-22, Revelation 13, 17:12-13).

We are getting closer to that day.

Related to facial recognition, the Continuing Church of God (CCOG) put together the following video for our Bible News Prophecy program:

12:15

Facial Recognition and Christian Persecution?

Will facial recognition systems help the coming European Beast of the Sea (Revelation 13) power gain totalitarian control? Are steps being taken along those lines? Is Europe in the process of putting together a massive database to surveil all that they can? What about Prüm? Might USA be involved with this? Could this result in Christian persecution? Does any of this have to do with what George Orwell warned about in his 1949 book titled ‘1984’? What about the UK? What has Big Brother watch warned? What is facial recognition and how does it work? What are concerns that the ACLU and the Electronic Watch foundation have raised? Would the King of the North (666) of biblical prophecy (Daniel chapters 7,8,11) be expected to use this type of technology? What about his religious associate, the two-horned beast, also known as the final Antichrist? What did Jesus tell His followers to do when persecuted? What has to happen before totalitarian control occurs in Europe? Dr. Thiel addresses these questions and more in this video.

Here is a link to the video: Facial Recognition and Christian Persecution?

Yes, facial recognition will be used by more and more.

And yes, some version of it will be used for persecution of Christians in the future.

Pope Leo continues with ecumenical moves in Europe

Pope Leo XIV has been continuing to make ecumenical moves:

Pope Leo receives European Christian leaders after the signing of new Ecumenical Charter

November 14, 2025

The presidents of the Conference of European Churches and the Council of European Bishops’ Conferences have presented a revised Charta Œcumenica to Pope Leo XIV, a new document cementing church and continental unity.

They did so during a private audience at the Vatican on Nov. 6, according to the CEC, a Brussels-based body representing mainly Protestant and Orthodox traditions, which worked with the CCEE, a body that brings together 39 Catholic episcopal conferences.

This audience took place a day after the signing of the revised Charta Œcumenica in Rome, marking a significant milestone for churches across Europe.

First adopted in 2001, the Charta sets out commitments by Europe’s churches to closer fellowship, common witness, dialogue, and shared responsibility for the continent’s future. https://www.ecumenicalnews.com/article/pope-leo-receives-european-christian-leaders-after-the-signing-of-new-ecumenical-charter/61319.htm

CEC and CCEE presidents present revised Charta Œcumenica to Pope Leo

The presidents of the Conference of European Churches (CEC) and the Council of European Bishops’ Conferences (CCEE) presented the revised Charta Œcumenica to His Holiness Pope LEO XIV during a private audience at the Vatican on 6 November 2025. H.E. Msgr. Gintaras GRUŠAS, Archbishop of Vilnius and President of CCEE, and H. Em. Archbishop NIKITAS of Thyateira and Great Britain, President of CEC, shared the document with the Pope in what they described as a deeply touching moment on the common path of Christian unity in Europe.

This audience took place a day after the signing of the revised Charta Œcumenica in Rome, marking a significant milestone for churches across Europe. First adopted in 2001, the Charta sets out commitments by Europe’s churches to closer fellowship, common witness, dialogue, and shared responsibility for the future of the continent.

Several members of CCEE and CEC, along with other representatives of various Christian denominations were present in the audience, demonstrating the shared ownership of the Charta and the desire to deepen cooperation between Christian traditions in Europe.

Pope Leo welcomed the delegation with the words, “Grace, mercy, and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord,” recalling the responsibility to continue the work of Christian unity. He underlined the importance of revisiting the Charta twenty-five years after its first signing, stating, “Certainly, the challenges Christians face on the ecumenical journey are constantly evolving.”

The Holy Father pointed to the changing context in which churches now serve, noting that many Christian communities in Europe “sense themselves increasingly to be in a minority” in societies marked by diversity and new cultural expressions. He stressed the need for openness and welcome, saying, “There are… many new voices to be heard and stories that must be welcomed through daily encounters and closer relationships, not to mention the urgency of promoting dialogue, concord and fraternity amidst the din of violence and war.”

Pope Leo affirmed the spirit of the renewed document, recognising the Charta Œcumenica as a sign of commitment by the churches. …

Looking to the future, the Pope shared his desire to continue strengthening Christian unity at a global level. He recalled his planned visit to the site of the Council of Nicaea to meet and pray with Heads of Churches, saying it is his wish in the Jubilee Year “to proclaim to all the people of Europe that ‘Jesus Christ is our Hope’, …

By presenting the revised Charta Œcumenica to Pope Leo, CCEE and CEC reaffirmed their shared commitment to deepen fellowship, strengthen Christian witness, and work together for peace, justice, and reconciliation in Europe. 11/07/25 https://ceceurope.org/cec-and-ccee-presidents-present-revised-charta-cumenica-pope-leo-xiv

A few days after this, Pope Leo XIV pushed the idea that the Archcathedral of his church is “the Mother of All Churches” (see Pope Leo XIV asserts the Basilica of St. John Lateran is “in fact, the ‘Mother of all Churches’”).

The idea of the Church of Rome pushing for unity in Europe is not a new one. It has been a goal for centuries. Notice that even when Europe was still recovering from being devastated in World War II, after attending a conference related to the start of the UN, in the December 1948 issue of The Plain Truth Herbert W. Armstrong predicted a coming “United States of Europe” when he wrote:

It was the SERMON that shot forth that spark, impregnating the minds of world leaders in attendance. This amazing sermon was delivered by a foremost radio speaker of the Catholic Church, Bishop Duane G. Hunt of Salt Lake City … Without the guidance, supervision, authority of the Catholic Church, he told these men, they were laboring in vain …

This was the Roman Catholic bid to resurrect the so-called “HOLY ROMAN EMPIRE” ! And PROPHECY says they will succeed! … At the psychological time, the pope will step in … Thru this political movement, he will UNIFY … nations in Europe. It will be a “The UNITED STATES OF EUROPE,” but that probably will never become its official name. (Armstrong HW. Now It Can Be Told…The Plain Truth, December 1948, pp. 2,5).

In the past few years, Europe took significant steps to do what the Church of God warned about decades ago. Notice a later COG warning/report:

Just as the Church once imposed her order upon nations and peoples, she is again seeking to establish a “Christian order which [she says] alone is able to guarantee peace.

On February 10, 1952, in his pontifical exhortation, the late Pope Pius XII said, “THE WHOLE WORLD MUST BE REBUILT FROM ITS FOUNDATIONS.”

Secretly, the Vatican diplomats are laying the foundations of a program that will remake Western civilization! It has to be planned secretly so it will not be discovered until it is too late to stop it!

The Vatican contends that “peace” can be maintained only by a Catholic-dominated international organization which has iron teeth to crush opposition!

“This organization,” said Pope Pius in his Christmas message of 1944, “will be vested… with supreme authority and power to smother… aggression.”

Note that the organization which the pope will invest with this power will have military might enough to quell resistance. This is where German military might comes in to CRUSH OPPOSITION to the Catholic Church …

The church wants more power in world affairs. But to have more power, its hierarchy first wants to revive and more solidly unite its own church body. That is why the church is presently stepping up a program of world evangelism and striving to bring Protestants back into the “fold.”

In his written message to the 37th Eucharistic World Congress of the Roman Catholic Church held in Munich, Germany, in 1960; the late Pope John XXIII said that Catholics must pray “that Christ’s religion [supposedly Catholicism], after the OBSTACLES are removed, can spread to the entire round earth.”

One of these obstacles preventing world evangelism of Catholicism is Protestantism! The Protestants are now being increasingly encouraged by the Catholics to voluntarily unite with the church. And if this fails, the Catholic Church will later resort to force! (Lesson 32 – “Mark of the Beast” To Be Enforced Again! 58 Lesson: Ambassador College Bible Correspondence Course, 1967 https://www.hwalibrary.com/cgi-bin/get/hwa.cgi?action=getbstudy&InfoID=1496580609&InfoType=Study58&SearchWhat=KeyWord&SearchFor=Sermon%20on%20mount%205&NoShow=&page=99&return=search)

Yes, the Church of Rome has long wanted the Protestants back in the fold. And now it looks like perhaps most of the European Protestants are moving much closer to the Church of Rome. I believe that when we see more of the signs and lying wonders of 2 Thessalonians 2, the process of ecumenical unity will be basically complete in Europe.

A cross looks to be a unifying symbol as the logo of the Conference of European Churches includes one–early Christians did NOT use a cross as a symbol (see What is the Origin of the Cross as a Claimed ‘Christian’ Symbol?).

What about Pope Leo XIV himself?

In my free eBook titled, The Last Pope of the Malachy Prophecies: Do Biblical and Greco-Roman Catholic Prophecies Point to Pope Leo XIV?, I have the following:

Leo XIV will be ecumenical. …

From May 20, 325 A.D./C.E. to August 325, the Roman Emperor Constantine convened the Council of Nicea. One of his political objectives was to get ecumenical unity in certain matters. In 2025, there are meetings to mark the 1700th anniversary of this, which are expected to include ecumenical discussions.

Pope Francis had expected to participate. So we would expect that his replacement, Pope Leo XIV, to get involved somehow in this. Actually, before the conclave to elect Pope Leo XIV was called, Patriarch Barthlomew of Constantinople extended an invitation for the next pope to attend the 1700th anniversary of Nicea. Like Emperor Constantine, Pope Leo XIV would like to ecumenical reconciliation for religious and political reasons.

Pope Leo has taken steps such as meeting with eastern Catholic churches  (see Pope Leo XIV met with ‘Churches of the East’–what did 1st century Christians believe?) and others (e.g. Pope Leo XIV and the Vatican pushing ecumenical unity with the Eastern Orthodox, Pentecostals, and Others: Syriac Orthodox want to be in communion with Rome), including the King of England (see King Charles III and Pope Leo XIV prayed together, gave each other titles, and exchanged gifts in ecumenical unity moves–and a Cottrell was involved!) to push his version of unity.

And there are many groups that he wants and that want to be more ecumenical with him.

Notice some other statements in my book The Last Pope of the Malachy Prophecies: Do Biblical and Greco-Roman Catholic Prophecies Point to Pope Leo XIV?:

Abbott Joachim (died 1202): A remarkable Pope will be seated on the pontifical throne, under special protection of the angels … he shall recover the states of the Church, and reunite the exiled temporal powers. As the only Pastor, he shall reunite the Eastern to the Western Church … Through him the East and West shall be in ever lasting concord. The city of Babylon shall then be the head and guide of the world …

Even though the Bible warns against end time Babylon (cf. Revelation 18:4; Jeremiah 50,51), Abbot Joachim is trying to teach that it is good. …

Here are some Roman Catholic warnings about the type of unification that some look forward to:

Michal Semin: Our Lady spoke of the annihilation of nations…The European Union is intent on destroying nation states, suppressing national identities and borders, so that we can happily live in an always progressing supra-national community of EU faithful.

Priest O’Connor (20th century?): This final false prophet will be a bishop of the church and will lead all religions into becoming one.

Priest H. Kramer (20th century): In the vision of the Seer now appears a second beast rising out of the earth, having two horns like a lamb but speaking like a dragon…In other places he is called the false prophet … This prophet may re-establish the pagan Roman Empire and build the “Great Harlot”, Babylon … The False Prophet … will persuade all infidels, apostates and apostate nations to worship and adore him … Antichrist “sitteth in the temple of God” (2 Thes. II. 4). This is not the ancient Temple in Jerusalem … this temple is shown to be a Catholic Church … The False Prophet will proclaim the resurrection of the Roman Empire.

Thus, while some Roman Catholic prophecies praise a new religious order, many others indicate that a new type of ‘Catholicism’ will be false to that religion and not be good for Europe.  This also seems to be consistent with an Eastern Orthodox understanding of the last false religious power coming from Rome:

Bishop Gerasimos of Abydos (20th century): The army of Antichrist is made up of the worldly powers, mainly the Roman Empire, symbolized by the two beasts and the harlot woman (Rev. 11:7; 13:1-17; cf. Dan. 7:11-12) … The final confrontation with evil is presented in chapters 19 and 20…The war is waged by the beast and the false prophet. Both of these are organs of Satan, representing the political and religious authority of Rome (Rev. 13:1-18).

Whatever new order that the Great Monarch (who is to be crowned the leader of the Roman Empire according to other writings) implements with Rome will not be faithful to the teachings of Christ or His original faithful followers.

Therefore a “false pope” is expected, and a great loss of Catholic members to his religion is prophesied.  Might this be in the works now? Could Pope Leo XIV work for this?

While Pope Francis took ecumenical steps, could Pope Leo XIV be the one that will seal unity with the Eastern Orthodox Catholics and the Protestants of Europe?

He may well be.

What I wish he would do, is to heed the following scripture–which is shown below from two Roman Catholic translations of the Bible:

3 Dearly beloved, taking all care to write unto you concerning your common salvation, I was under a necessity to write unto you: to beseech you to contend earnestly for the faith once delivered to the saints. (Jude 3, DRB)

3 My dear friends, at a time when I was eagerly looking forward to writing to you about the salvation that we all share, I felt that I must write to you encouraging you to fight hard for the faith which has been once and for all entrusted to God’s holy people. (Jude 3, NJB)

If Pope Leo XIV would really do that, it would be an exciting and great course of action.

Earlier this year he hinted that the churches of the east, that are in communion with Rome, should do that–and they should.

But the Church of Rome, as well as all other churches, should do so as well.

Sermon: 2 Timothy 3-4: Scripture and Truth Restored

The Continuing Church of God is pleased to announce the following sermon from its ContinuingCOG channel:

1:15:19

This is the second part of a 2-part sermon series covering each and every verse of the Apostle Paul’s second epistle to Timothy. In this sermon, Dr. Thiel covers the last two chapters of Paul’s letter. Paul tells Timothy how terrible people will be in the last days, and that many are always learning but not coming to the knowledge of the truth. Dr. Thiel quotes passages in scripture showing that God’s word is truth, yet that many suppress the truth in unrighteousness and promote sexual immortality and other evils. He also quotes information about the possible identity of Jannes and Jambres, and warns that there are consequences in resisting God and His messages. He also cites Jesus who essentially warned that the Sardis and Laodicean Christians also resist the truth and need to repent. Dr. Thiel also covers the fact that Paul was persecuted, that Philadelphian Christians will be persecuted, but that later they will be protected per Revelation 12:13-16, but that the non-Philadelphian Christians will then be subject to persecution during the Great Tribulation. Prophetic errors that certain Laodiceans hold are also pointed out. He also explains why Richard Dawkins’ book, The God Delusion, is not scientific. He warns that Greco-Roman Catholic and Protestant teachers have accepted traditions over the word of God, when instead they should be faithful. Dr. Thiel quotes various passages of scripture from the Apostle Paul showing that Christians are to continue in the original faith and doctrine, as well as grow in spiritual knowledge. He also goes over many truths that have been restored in the Continuing Church of God and gives biblical reasons why the most faithful in the 21st century should support the CCOG. He quotes the Apostle Paul who says ministers are to preach the word of God and mentions some of how the CCOG does that. He warns that throughout church history, people have rebelled against church government as well those who loved the world more than the truth of God. Some information related to the canonization of scripture is touched upon. The faithful couple, Priscilla and Aquila, are mentioned, including places they had lived for a time. Dr. Thiel concludes by saying that all need the Lord Jesus Christ to be with us, we all need God’s grace, God will strengthen us, His word is more of a guide than a GPS, and we simply need to do things His way which includes obeying Him, resisting Satan, not following the ways of the world in these last days, growing in knowledge, and supporting the most faithful Church in these end times.

Were there always Baptists? ‘Trail of Blood,’ scripture, and history

Friday, November 14th, 2025

Logos of the SDBs

COGwriter

Were there always ‘baptists’ since the beginning of the church age as some claim?

Well, that depends on how you define baptist.

If the definition of baptist is one who practices baptism by immersion, then the answer is yes.

What about the denomination called Baptists, do they have doctrinal continuity with the original Christian church?

No.

As it turns out, various Baptist historians write from the perspective that Baptists existed independently from Roman Catholicism and existed prior to the Protestant Reformation.

Some have a Baptist perpetuity (sometimes called ‘successionst’) view, which is the claim Baptists have existed since Pentecost in the 2nd chapter of the Book of Acts.

The perpetuity view is often identified with The Trail of Blood, a booklet containing five lectures by Dr. James Milton Carrol published in 1931. That booklet claims perpetuity, but an honest reading of it leads to the general conclusion that there are no details to show that Dr. Carroll proved his point on the perpetuity of his faith from the time of Jesus (it mainly points to infant baptism not becoming an issue until after the rise of Emperor Constantine, and persecutions which came to those who disagreed after that). Yet, despite lack of proof, many Baptists still believe it.

The Trail of Blood also contains the following:

In the first two centuries the individual churches rapidly multiplied and some of the earlier ones, such as Jerusalem, Antioch, Ephesus, Corinth, etc., grew … serious error to begin creeping in … the loyal churches declared non-fellowship for those churches which accepted and practiced … errors …

It should be pointed that that while the bulk of Ephesus and Antioch looks to have remained faithful until sometime into the 3rd century (and with the leaders from those areas refuting erroneous changes), Jerusalem and Corinth had mainly apostatized before the end of the 2nd century.

Furthermore, it should be pointed out that in The Trail of Blood, most of the “loyal churches” that Dr. Carroll claims became separate from Rome were NOT actually “loyal” churches (the truly loyal ones never became part of the Greco-Roman confederacy).

Here is a Baptist claim about early groups that supposedly were “Baptist”:

Novatians were Baptists … They continued on as Anabaptists … Hassell lists them right along with the other Baptists of the other ages. “Among the persecuted people of God have been the Novatians, Donatists, Cathari, Paterines, Paulicians, Petrobrusians, Henricans, Arnoldists, Albigenses, Waldenses, Lollards, Mennonites and Baptists, nearly all of whom were occasionally designated Anabaptists or Re-Baptizers by their enemies, because they disregarded infant or unregenerate baptism, and baptized all adults, whether previously baptized or not, who, upon a credible profession of faith, applied to them for membership in their churches -thus insisting upon a spiritual or regenerate church membership, the First and Most Important Mark of the Apostolic Church.” (Hissel B. Baptist History Notebook, 3rd ed. Baptist Training Center, 2017, p. 115-116)

While some of those groups held ‘Baptist doctrines,’ many did not. For example, the Cathari and the Paterines considered the cross to be the “mark of the Beast” (Schaff, Philip, History of the Christian Church, Chapter X; Jones W. The history of the Christian church from the birth of Christ to the xviii. century, Volumes 1-2, 3rd edition. R.W. Pomeroy, 1832, p. 289), yet modern Baptists use crosses as a religious symbol. For another example, the faithful among the Waldenses paid multiple tithes, kept the Sabbath, would not keep Easter, etc. (LESSON 51, AMBASSADOR COLLEGE BIBLE CORRESPONDENCE COURSE “And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place …” Rev. 12:6, 1968)—they were most certainly not modern Baptists.

Now, here is an assessment from Baptist Pastor Tyler Robbins of certain Baptists claiming the Novatians:

Were the Novatians Baptists? Many Baptists like to claim the Novatians as their own. … If the Novatians cannot be claimed as direct descendants, can they be claimed as the distant spiritual kin of modern-day Baptists? Some Baptists would agree.

Much of what has been written of the Novatians by Baptists of any stripe is at best a gloss, and at worst completely incorrect. As an example of the latter, G.H. Orchard, a Landmarkist, wrote (1855):

One Novatian, a presbyter in the church of Rome, strongly opposed the readmission of apostates, but he was not successful. … Novatian, with every considerate person, was disgusted with the hasty admission of such apostates to communion, and with the conduct of many pastors, who were more concerned about numbers than purity of communion. (p. 53)

J.M. Carrol, in his infamous treatise Trail of Blood, declared that when the errors of compromised local church autonomy, infant baptism and baptismal regeneration crept into true churches, the Novatian Baptists sallied forth for the cause of ecclesiastical purity:

Some of the churches vigorously repudiated them. So much so that in A.D. 251, the loyal churches declared non-fellowship for those churches which accepted and practiced these errors. And thus came about the first real official separation among the churches. (2013, Kindle Locations 294-295)

Jack Hoad, a solid historian, likewise missed the boat when he wrote that Novatians were “making a strong protest against the same moral laxity and the weak, almost non-existent disciplinary standards in the churches” (1986, p. 30). Thomas Armitage observed that “[t]he Novatians demanded pure Churches which enforced strict discipline, and so were called Puritans” (178).

All of these brief characterizations are wrong. …

Dionysius … claimed that Novatian plied gullible men with liberal amounts of alcohol and “compelled” them to support his rival claim to the Bishopric (6.43.9-10, NPNF2, 1:288)! (Robbins T. Were the Novations Early Baptists? Sharper Iron, October 8, 2014)

Novatian himself was baptized by pouring, not immersion, and (3) his baptism was not conducted as a public testimony of his new-found faith—it was done in private, upon a sickbed. … Novatian’s church believed the Holy Spirit was bestowed after baptism and after confirmation by the bishop. Cornelius, Novatian’s own successor, criticized him for (1) his irregular baptism, and (2) not having been confirmed. This is not the portrait of a Baptist crusader. (Robbins T. Were the Novatians Early Baptists? Part 2. Sharper Iron, October 17, 2014)

Tyler Robbins is correct that Novatian, who came from the Church of Rome, was not a faithful Christian He is considered the second “antipope” by the Church of Rome, and that church claims Novatian declared himself pope in 251 (Antipope. The Catholic Encyclopedia. New York: Robert Appleton Company, 1907). His faith did not hold to many original Christian teachings. But The Trail of Blood points to his 251 declaration to improperly support the Baptist claim of perpetuity.

It should also be pointed out that Dr. Carroll’s Trail of Blood, booklet opposes actual apostolic succession, as it states:

Baptists do not believe in Apostolic Succession.

Since it is true that the groups that tend to call themselves Baptists do not have true apostolic succession, obviously they should not claim perpetuity.

Here are some inaccurate perpetuity/successionist assertions by the 19th century Baptist minister G.H. Orchard:

the Baptists may be considered as the only Christian community which has stood since the times of the Apostles … all Christian communities during the first three centuries were of the Baptist denomination … The oriental Baptist Churches, with their successors the Paulicians, continued in their purity until the tenth century when these people visited France … where they flourished until the crusader army scattered or drown in blood … offending professors. (Orchard GH. A Concise History of Foreign Baptists. George Wightman Paternoster Row, London, 1838, p. v)

There are many issues with his assertions. The historical reality is that while all faithful Christians believed in baptism by immersion for the repentant, the “oriental … Churches” (meaning those in Asia Minor) held many doctrines that the modern Baptists oppose (which our free eBook will go into in more detail: Hope of Salvation: How the Continuing Church of God Differs from Protestantism). Their “successors” called the Paulicians, for example, were binitarian (Gregory of Nyssa. On the Holy Spirit, Against the Followers of Macedonius. In Nicene and Post-Nicene Fathers, Series Two, Volume 5. Edited by Philip Schaff and Henry Wace. American Edition, 1893), kept Passover on the 14th day of the first month on the biblical calendar (Conybeare F.C. The Key of Truth: A Manual of the Paulician Church of Armenia. Clarendon Press, Oxford, 1898, p. clii) as stated in scripture (e.g. Leviticus 23:5 ). Whereas Baptists call Passover “Easter” and keep it on Sunday, while the Paulicians kept the seventh-day Sabbath while opposing Sunday (ibid pp. clii, cxciii), did not keep Christmas (ibid pp. clii, cxciii), and the faithful ones who were called Paulicians were also pacifists (Fortesque A. Transcribed by Richard L. George. Paulicians. The Catholic Encyclopedia, Volume XI. Copyright © 1911 by Robert Appleton Company). And while we in CCOG would agree that those were original and pure Christian doctrines, Baptists do not hold to them (although those called Seventh-Day Baptists do often strive to keep the Sabbath).

In his book, Baptist minister G.H. Orchard also claimed “primitive Baptists” essentially began with John the Baptist (ibid, p. 1). Then he later included as “primitive Baptists” Ignatius of Antioch (p. 13), Polycarp of Smyrna (p. 18), Justin Martyr (p. 22), Irenaeus of Lyon (p. 24), Clement of Alexandria (p. 25), and Theophilus of Antioch (p. 26). He also considered writings of John Chrysostom (p. 41) and Augustine of Hippo (p. 44) as “testimonies of the Fathers” and called them “great men” (p.47). Although Baptists claim souls go to heaven when they die, Justin Martyr asserted that those who teach that are not Christians (Justin. Dialogue with Trypho. Chapter 80).

The reality is that not all (if any) of those “primitive Baptist” ministers G.H. Orchard claimed to be Baptists actually held many “Baptist” doctrines. But since relatively few people know much about those early leaders, various Baptists have failed to realize that they held to many doctrines that modern Baptists do not hold.

Consider the following that John the Baptist was prophesied to do:

79 To give light to those who sit in darkness and the shadow of death, To guide our feet into the way of peace. (Luke 1:79)

So, John the Baptist was expected to guide God’s followers into the way of peace. Now, notice his response to soldiers:

14 Likewise the soldiers asked him, saying, “And what shall we do?”

So he said to them, “Do not intimidate anyone or accuse falsely, and be content with your wages” (Luke 3:14).

The word translated as “intimidate” is the Greek word diaseio which the KJV translates as “violence.” Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance translates it “to shake thoroughly, to intimidate, to do violence to.” It comes from two Greek words diagnosis and seio; diagnosis is translated as examination and seio as to rock, agitate, to throw in a tremor. There is no way a soldier cannot ‘agitate/intimidate’ if they are trying to kill someone.

Thus, John the Baptist’s statement here shows that military violence was not for the future followers of God. While early professors of Christ understood that, sadly, most groups who claim Christianity, including modern Baptists, have not understood that. This is one of many ways that modern Baptists do not follow the teachings or practices of John the Baptist.

Furthermore, some leaders that Baptist minister G.H. Orchard referred to in his book were certainly not real Christians. One, Justin Martyr, reported that he lived in no outward way different than the pagans (Dialogue with Trypho. Chapter 10), contrary to the Apostle Paul’s teaching in Ephesians 4:17. Two people that G.H. Orchard called “great men,” John Chrysostom and Augustine, not only were not real Christians, they both taught infant baptism!

There was no historical perpetuity for what are now the bulk of Baptists. Yet, it is still asserted at times.

Notice the following claims from a 20th century article by Baptist B.M. Cedarholm:

Historians testify that local churches; which hold the doctrines, beliefs, and practices of today’s Bible-believing, separatist Baptists; have had continuous existence since the days of Christ. This cannot be said of any other church, churches, or religious organization.  … “as far back as 100 A.D., although without doubt there were Baptist churches then, as all Christians were then Baptists.” (Cedarholm BM, editor. Historical Statements Concerning Baptists and their Origins)

If you were to read that entire article edited by the Baptist B.M. Cedarholm, you would see that it mostly quotes Protestant theologians over the centuries of a Baptist persuasion who agree with part of the initial statement. But they offer no proof. Nor do they provide a real list of beliefs early ‘Baptists’ held that current Baptists hold. While it is true that all early Christians endorsed baptism, early Christians simply held many doctrines that are in conflict with 21st century Baptists. Modern Baptists who learn of their teachings, many of which are in this book, would not consider their churches the same as those in 100 A.D.

At least partially because King Henry VIII and early Lutherans condemned Anabaptists in the 16th century, Baptists have not always embraced the title Protestant. Yet, modern Baptists agree more with the Protestants than the Anabaptists of old on some of the teachings and practices the Lutherans condemned the Anabaptists for (including the refusal of military service, not being involved in worldly politics, teaching annihilation of the unrepentant, and that the resurrected saints shall take possession of the kingdoms of the world before the second resurrection of the dead—though some Baptists might believe that last point).

It may be because of their differences from the old Anabaptists that the Baptist perpetuity view of history is properly rejected by many modern Baptists.

However, on the Internet in the 21st century, you can still find Baptist ministers who assert their modern religion has true perpetuity without real proof, such as the following (bolding in original):

Calvary Baptist Church believes that the Lord Jesus started the first church – during His earthly ministry. We do not believe that the church started on the Day of Pentecost, but at least three years earlier, and we further believe that Jesus promised His church a continued existence – i.e. perpetuity. … Baptistic churches have existed from the time of Christ to the present day. Those churches have borne many different names in various places. One such name was “Anabaptist (Oldfield KD, pastor. Summary of our Doctrines. http://idahobaptist.com/about/ accessed 01/20/20)

Some of God’s People were known as Novatians … In about the year 250, … there was a man in Rome who was converted to Christ while on his death bed. Novatian had been a well-known and distinguished Pagan philosopher. … Novatian was one of several elders in the church at Rome before the formation of Roman Catholicism. (Oldfield KD, pastor. Some of God’s People were known as Novatians. Calvary Independent Baptists Church. Post Falls, Idaho. May 2, 2016.)

It should be pointed out that by 250 A.D., the Church of Rome had already changed on many doctrines and was aligned with regions dominated by apostates, such as Alexandria, Jerusalem, and by that time, Antioch. Second century “oriental” Church of God leaders, such as Polycarp and Polycrates, had chastised Roman bishops for their inappropriate change of the date of Passover. Furthermore, by including the Roman Novatians, Baptists have proven, by their perpetuity declarations, that they do not have original perpetuity.

Now, instead of claiming doctrinal perpetuity from the original New Testament church, the late Baptist minister and civil rights activist, Martin Luther King, Jr., correctly concluded that his church (and other Greco-Roman-Protestant churches) adopted many traditions that they incorporated from Mithraism (King ML. The papers of Martin Luther King, Jr, Volume 4. Clayborne Carson, Ralph Luker, Penny A. Russell editors/compliers. University of California Press, 1992, pp. 222, 224, 307, 309).

Yes, it is a documented fact that modern Baptists adopted beliefs that the early oriental churches and their faithful successors did not hold.

Yet, what are some of the ramifications if the Baptists actually had doctrinal continuity with unknown groups (or portions of known groups) throughout history?

Well, that would be a total of much less than 1% of the world’s population during the church age (the time from Acts 2 to present). So since Baptists do not teach God will offer salvation to all, either in this age or the age to come, either the Baptists are teaching that well over 99% of the population will be permanently lost—as they were not their type of Baptist—or if non-Baptists are also to be saved, that perpetuity teaching means it does not matter if one is a Baptist to be saved. It is most likely the latter position (based on various Baptist statements, including those from the late Billy Graham), which makes them like Evangelical Protestants (who also hold to the position that most who ever lived will not be saved).

Practically speaking, modern Baptists tend to hold essentially Protestant doctrinal views, generally in line with Evangelical Protestants. Because of that, they will tend to be grouped in with them in this book. They do NOT have the same hope of salvation that we in the CCOG hold to (for details, see the free online book: Universal OFFER of Salvation, Apokatastasis: Can God save the lost in an age to come? Hundreds of scriptures reveal God’s plan of salvation).

Although they claim a long history, in their claims they include early Sabbath keepers who do not hold their present doctrines like 4th century Semi-Arians in Armenia and 6th century Holy Day keepers in the British isles (Davis, Tamar. A General History of the Sabbatarian Churches. 1851; Reprinted 1995 by Commonwealth Publishing, Salt Lake City, pp. 20, 108). The SDBs are trinitarian (Stillman W. Miscellaneous Compositions in Poetry and Prose. F.H. Bacon, New-London 1852; pp. 3-4) and do not keep the biblical holy days. They also include earlier groups who accepted “church eras” (Davis, p. 31) as well as those who called themselves “Church of God” and not Seventh Day Baptist (Duggar, pp. 275-277).

What about the Seventh Day Baptists?

The late COG historian Richard Nickels made several points about the SDBs and history:

Seventh Day Baptists cannot validly claim exclusive “ownership” of the history of Sabbatarians. SDB’s today do not agree doctrinally with their Sabbatarian ancestors! Actually, today’s faithful Church of God brethren are doctrinally closer to early English and American Sabbath-keepers than are today’s liberal SDB’s. Early American Sabbatarians rejected Trinity and immortal soul teaching, eschewed Christmas and Easter, promoted their faith much more than SDB’s do today, and traced their spiritual ancestry directly to English Lollards, Waldensians, and the first century Church … The oldest existing Seventh Day Baptist Church, the Mill Yard Church in London, England, began during the mid 1600’s. The Mill Yard Church has apparently always kept the “Lord’s Supper” on the fourteenth day of the first Hebrew month, but almost no American SDB churches have followed this practice. Today, SDB’s accept Christmas, the Trinity, and immortal soul teaching. (Nickels R. Six Papers on the History of the Church of God. Sharing & Giving, Neck City (MO), 1993, p. 83).

In the late 1700s, those now called Seventh Day Baptists adopted Protestant positions and also started calling themselves Sabbatarian Baptists. They began to use the title Reverend for their ministers (Randolph CF. A History of the Seventh Day Baptists in West Virginia, 1905. Reprint 2005. Heritage Books, Westminster (MD), p. 28), insist on the immortality of the soul (Dugger AN, Dodd CO. A History of True Religion, 3rd ed. Jerusalem, 1972. Church of God, 7th Day. 1990 reprint, p. 277; Randolf, p. 87), put steeples on their church buildings (Randolf pages 74a, 100a, 160a, 208a, 214a, 238a, and 242a of church buildings without steeples, but shows steeples on pages 104a, 106a, 246a, and 344a), and became separate from Church of God brethren that they claim to have been their ancestors (Stillman, pp. 3-4; Randolf, p. 87).

By 1808, many SDBs considered Protestants to be true Christian brothers (Randolph, pp. 138-140). Essentially, SDBs are Protestants, with their main difference that they go to church on Saturday.

What about the modern SDBs?

Here is a 21st century report about the SDBs:

Are Christians wrong to worship on Sunday when the biblical Sabbath is Saturday? Rob Appel, executive director of the Seventh Day Baptist General Conference answers with a question of his own: “What day did Christ go to church? Saturday. OK, let’s be Christ like.”

… Saturday worship is not a definitive marker over which the church is willing to fight.

“It’s not a big thing,” said Appel … “We are Baptist,” Appel said. “We just have a different day of worship” … North American churches once called Sabbath Baptists organized as a Conference in 1802. Although “we’ve been around a long time … we’re small.” Appel attributes stunted growth in part to “our own fear.”

Early members were persecuted because of their Sabbath worship, which prompted “a tendency to keep to ourselves.”

“That mentality permeated from generation to generation,” he said. “We don’t feel that anymore …”…

Seventh Day Baptists leave women’s ordination up to the local church. The Conference has issued no statement on ordination, although it has accredited some female pastors …

The Sabbath theology takes second place, or third …

“We’re Baptists first,” Kersten said. “When I send kids off to college, I encourage them to keep the Sabbath and find a good Sunday Baptist Church.” He said there are “so many theological problems” in other Sabbatarian groups that “Baptist” is more important than Saturday worship. (Jameson N.  ‘Baptist’ comes first for Seventh Day Baptists. Associated Baptist Press, June 29, 2011. This article was commissioned by the North American Baptist Fellowship)

There is no historical evidence that early SDBs ordained any women, and there is evidence that they would take stronger stands on the Sabbath than they now do.

The “theological problems” that all the Baptists have with groups like the Continuing Church of God include the fact that we have retained historical Christian beliefs on matters such as the Godhead, salvation, and other doctrines they do not hold.

The Continuing Church of God has the following related sermon on its ContinuingCOG channel:

1:20:28

Although Seventh Day Baptists (SDBs), Seventh-day Adventist (SDAs), and Messianic Jews keep some version of the seventh day Sabbath, are they Protestant or Church of God. What do they claim? What do they teach? What do SDAs and Messianic Jews teach about their history? Do SDBs cite groups who held Church of God (COG) and not SDB doctrines? Which group teaches the original biblical Christian faith? How do the SDAs, Messianics, and SDBs agree with Protestants on issues such as salvation, history, and the Godhead, which differ greatly from the Continuing Church of God (CCOG)? Are there really 613 laws of the Torah? Are the 613 mist What are 28 ways the SDBs differ from the CCOG? Are ‘Black Israelites’ right about Jesus being a black African? Was the Day of Atonement on October 22, 1844 according to Rabbinical or Karaite Jews? Did the SDAs or COG come out of the Millerite movement? Did Ellen White make false prophecies that she insisted came from God? If so, what were some of them? Did the SDA church send out literature it knew was clearly wrong? Was Ellen G. White’s sanctuary interpretation the “complete system of truth”? Did SDAs once teach crosses were pagan, but now include them in their official logo? Which of the 4 churches (SDB,SDA, Messianic, CCOG) doctrines have the most biblical and historical support? Dr. Thiel addresses these issues and more.

Here is a link to the sermon video: Seventh Day Baptists/Adventists/Messianics: Protestant or COG?

Anyway, if baptism by immersion is the only criteria for being a ‘baptist,’ then yes, there has been perpetuity since the start of the Christian church.

However, because they do not hold to numerous doctrines that the early church held, as well as the true Church of God throughout history, no the denominations called Baptist do not have perpetuity.

The first Christians:

  • Kept the 7th day Sabbath
  • Kept Passover on the 14th and not Easter Sunday
  • Did not eat biblically unclean meat
  • Were not accepting of Emperor Theodosius’ trinity
  • Opposed military service for Christians
  • Did not teach humans had immortal souls
  • Taught that resurrected saints would reign on the earth before the second resurrection
  • Taught that God will call others to salvation in the ‘age to come’

We in the Continuing Church of God still hold to these beliefs. Plus, we have detailed documented free literature available for any who wish to prove this for themselves (e.g. see our free eBook: Hope of Salvation: How the Continuing Church of God Differs from Protestantism).

The late Herbert W. Armstrong pointed out:

The … CHURCH OF GOD … is in direct continuous succession from the apostolic Church founded by Christ A.D. 31 (Armstrong HW. Why The Church? Good News, August 14, 1978)

The true Church continued, a tiny “little flock,” almost unnoticed by the world … (Armstrong HW. The Church They Couldn’t Destroy. Good News, December 1981)

So, if you are Baptist (or any other non-Church of God faith), I urge you to be like the Bereans of old (Acts 17:10-11) and search the scriptures (as well as facts about church history) to see if these things are so.

Anti-religionists corrupting that which is called science

Came across the following article about suppression of science:

A Scientist’s Stand Against Ideological Capture – Review of “Why I Cut Ties with Science’s Top Publisher”

November 14, 2025

In an age when far too many scientists keep their heads down and their concerns to themselves, scientist Anna Krylov has done something refreshing: she has spoken plainly, publicly, and with precision. Her recent article, Why I Cut Ties with Science’s Top Publisher,” is a clear-eyed examination of how one of the world’s most prestigious scientific publishers, Nature Portfolio, has drifted from the pursuit of truth toward the pursuit of ideology. Her piece is not only courageous—it’s badly needed. …

In a succinct “we told you so” op-ed, Krylov has now offered a firsthand account that illustrates exactly how that corruption unfolds in practice.

Krylov recounts her more than 30 years of publishing, reviewing, and participating at the highest levels of academic science, especially within the Nature family of journals. She once regarded publication there as a professional milestone. But she describes a fundamental shift: editorial instructions urging “citation justice,” review assignments tilted by demographic targets, and editorial policies that openly consider rejecting scientifically valid research if the perceived “harm” outweighs the benefit of publication. As she succinctly notes, choosing which studies to cite “based on who wrote it rather than what it demonstrates is not science—it is propaganda in footnote form.” That line alone captures a problem observers like us have been warning about for years: that the peer-review system is increasingly bending toward ideological performance rather than objective analysis. …

Particularly troubling is the 2022 Nature Human Behavior editorial she cites, which declared that scientifically sound research could be rejected if editors deemed its potential societal “harms” too great. As Krylov notes, editors have no special expertise in sociology, politics, or ethics; their expertise is supposed to be in evaluating research quality. Yet once an editorial board decides its mission includes moral guardianship, the literature becomes a curated narrative rather than a transparent record of inquiry. We at WUWT have warned repeatedly that such editorial activism—especially in climate journals—creates a feedback loop that amplifies favored conclusions and suppresses skeptical or inconvenient findings. Krylov has simply documented the same process taking hold across a wider swath of scientific publishing. https://wattsupwiththat.com/2025/11/14/a-scientists-stand-against-ideological-capture-review-of-why-i-cut-ties-with-sciences-top-publisher/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=a-scientists-stand-against-ideological-capture-review-of-why-i-cut-ties-with-sciences-top-publisher

Jesus said the word of God was truth (John 17:17) and those who do not respect the word of God, instead wish to push false agendas.

WND posted the following earlier this week:

How America’s Judeo-Christian culture is rapidly being erased … and replaced

November 12, 2025

Of course, one of the most widely cited biblical truths about Satan is, in the words of Jesus Christ, that he is “the father of lies.” So, honesty and up-front straightforward disclosure as to his true intentions has never been Satan’s specialty.

Moving on to one of Satan’s biggest triumphs in the modern world: “Leftism” (or “progressivism,” “socialism,” “Marxism,” “neo-Marxism,” “communism,” “neo-communism,” “collectivism,” “social democracy,” “democratic socialism” and all the other terms invented to disguise the same unfailingly enslaving ideology) possesses all the key attributes of a religion.

In the religion of modern Leftism, mankind is burdened by sin (racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, Islamophobia and all other forms of “oppression” of the innocent) and in dire need of salvation. Fortunately, this blessed state can be attained by embracing “diversity, equity and inclusion” and siding with “oppressed underserved minorities” in all things. That’s right. Even the worst sinners – white heterosexual males – mercifully can attain forgiveness and imputed righteousness and innocence by siding with (becoming an “ally” of) the many victimized “oppressed” (and therefore inherently righteous) classes – blacks, Hispanics, homosexuals, transgenders, Muslims, liberal white women, criminal illegal aliens, Pacific Islanders, “two-spirit” Indians and so on.

This powerfully seductive – and yes of course, completely insane – paradigm in turn justifies every form of theft, deception, enslavement, tyranny and murder. All in the name of helping the “oppressed” and defeating the “oppressors.” It is this same deranged ideology, after all, that is responsible for having singlehandedly rendered the 20th Century the bloodiest in all of human history, with a staggering death toll of 100 million men, women and children.

Yet to this day, those on the Left brag self-righteously about what an enlightened and superior system they have. And it is this same dark, seductive and always enslaving religion that increasingly dominates major American institutions, especially education (which may explain why public schools are welcoming After School Satan Clubs). https://www.wnd.com/2025/11/how-americas-judeo-christian-culture-is-rapidly-being/

Notice an example of bias against science:

Authors of ‘Astonishing’ Study Showing Unvaccinated Kids Are Healthier Refused to Go Public With Results

September 9, 2025

During a U.S. Senate hearing today on how the corruption of science has affected public opinion and vaccine policy, attorney Aaron Siri revealed a long-hidden study on vaccinated versus unvaccinated children, and testified about the origins of the study and why its findings were suppressed.

In a U.S. Senate hearing today, attorney Aaron Siri revealed the results of a large study that found vaccinated children were far more likely to develop chronic disease than unvaccinated kids.

The study never underwent peer review and was never published, because the authors — staunch vaccine supporters — told Siri they were concerned about losing their jobs or reputations because their findings contradicted the official public health narrative and vaccine policy.

Siri’s testimony, delivered during Tuesday’s Senate hearing, “How the Corruption of Science has Impacted Public Perception and Policies Regarding Vaccines,” addressed the study’s origins, findings and suppression.

The study involved over 18,000 children enrolled in Henry Ford Health system’s insurance plan in Michigan.

“The results are astonishing,” Siri told The Defender. “For example, vaccinated children had 4.29 times the rate of asthma, 3.03 times the rate of atopic disease (a group of allergic conditions), 5.96 times the rate of autoimmune disease, and 5.53 times the rate of neurodevelopmental disorder.”

These findings were statistically significant — even when accounting for gender, race, birthweight, premature birth, and respiratory distress or trauma at birth.

But rather than publishing the results, the study authors and their bosses at Henry Ford Health refused to make them public — even though the lead author previously assured Siri and Del Bigtree he would publish the results, whatever the findings. https://childrenshealthdefense.org/defender/unvaccinated-kids-healthier-henry-ford-health-study-aaron-siri-ican-senate-hearing/

The Bible warns about those “who suppress the truth in unrighteousness” (Romans 1:18), which has happened often related to news, including health news.

Part of that reason, related to the mainstream and health news, is the amount of money mainstream sources receive from the pharmaceutical and other health related industries.

Remember the Apostle Paul warned:

10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, (1 Timothy 6:10)

Yes, the vaccine/pharmaceutical industry and the medical profession do have a love of money and yes, that, and not always real science, along with pride and arrogance, influences their positions.

So, yes, scientists can lose their jobs, etc. for promoting actual science.

Notice the following article related to the American Academy of Pediatrics:

aap-threatens-parental-rights-with-childhood-vaccines.html

Rule by Quacks

Adam Dick of the Ron Paul Institute reports that the American Academy of Pediatrics last Monday called for mandated vaccinations of children for the full plethora of vaccines and the elimination of all exceptions.  The irresponsible American Academy of Pediatrics served as despicable shills for Big Pharma’s murder for profit of children by insisting that every child be infected with the spike protein from the Covid vax.  https://www.lewrockwell.com/2025/08/no_author/pediatricians-organization-says-eliminate-almost-all-vaccine-exemptions-for-children/

The academy’s support for mandatory vaccination of children with the 54 shots, many known to be toxic and dangerous and the cause of the extraordinary increase in childhood illnesses since the mass vaccination, fortunately for me after my generation, was imposed on naive parents, is proof that the American Academy of Pediatric is a collection of incompetent quacks on the take from profit-driven Big Pharma.  In my opinion, every member of the academy should be arrested, tried, convicted, and sentenced for conspiracy to commit murder.  https://childrenshealthdefense.org/child-health-topics/known-culprits/vaccines-culprit/cdc-recommended-vaccine-schedule-1986-vs-2019/

American doctors are so indoctrinated by Big Pharma’s control over medical education and research that Americans can no longer trust their doctors.  Americans can’t trust their hospitals either.  Reports are emerging of hospitals harvesting for profit the organs of patients before they are dead.

The value of money has replaced the value of life in American health care. https://www.paulcraigroberts.org/2025/08/01/rule-by-quacks/

Sadly, yes, I believe that the American Academy of Pediatrics promotes quackery and bad science. The American Academy of Pediatrics is also a big supporter of gender mutilation, which goes by the false name “gender affirming care” (e.g. https://publications.aap.org/aapnews/news/32145/AAP-speaks-out-against-HHS-report-on-gender?autologincheck=redirected).

Many in the mainstream have been raising alarms about the influence from Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. (RFK)–who now is the Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS).

His crime?

He wants access to vaccine data, better vaccine injury reporting, and more transparency related to vaccinations.

Notice something else related to RFK and health:

RFK, Jr. questions vaccines, junk science food, pesticide-laden agriculture, while practicing what he preaches – the perfect role model for leading Health and Human Services

Nobody wants to take ethical advice from a criminal. People would just ask, why don’t you practice what you preach? In that same light, nobody wants to take health advice from someone who is obese and sickened by preventable diseases caused by eating junk food for years.

The current Director (assistant secretary) of Health and Human Services is an obese man with three chins who claims to be a woman. Who would want to take health advice from this person? Do we all want to be extremely overweight and confused about our gender? Should we all practice what this transgender preaches and eat junk food all day, then wonder why we’re all suffering from chronic inflammation, IBS, headaches, diabetes, cancer and dementia?

There are many adulterated products that Americans consume on a regular basis that should be questioned, but Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. has been called a “conspiracy theorist” for years by the establishment for doing just that. Why? Because the sick care industrial complex of America doesn’t want anyone asking questions, because that can become contagious, as more and more people would say, “hey, that’s a good question,” and begin using critical thinking, judgment, and common sense about filtering their food, water, and medicine consumption habits.

America needs a role model leading HHS, not some gender-confused, obese troll who doesn’t even know how to take care of himself

This would put a big dampening on the cash cow money machines that have been in place for about a century in the USA, including Big Food, Big Ag, and Big Pharma. Take one look at RFK Jr. and you see a man who is seventy years old but built like a linebacker in the NFL. He is in phenomenal physical and mental health condition. This is the kind of role model  needed in the highest position of the food and health industry in the USA.

Robert F. Kennedy questions wackzines (vaccines), their ingredients, how many we get and how close together we get them. …

He questions glyphosate and how much is in the food we eat. Glyphosate is a known carcinogen that’s doused heavily on GMO crops that are engineered to withstand big doses of it. It can damage your liver and your kidneys.

How many medical doctors do you know who look like RFK, Jr. and are in that tip-top shape, especially over the age of 50 and over the age of 65? https://www.newstarget.com/2025-01-16-rfk-question-vaccines-junk-food-pesticide-agriculture.html

GMOs, glycophosphates, vaccines, and various other things that affect the food supply should be questioned.

As a scientist, I began warning of the dangers and insufficient testing of GMOs starting last century.

The USA spends more on health care than any other nation, yet it is a nation full of unhealthy and obese people.

The mainstream medical profession and media, to a great degree, have failed the American people on matters of health.

Furthermore, how the USA government and most of the media handled COVID was a disaster.

Consider that the amount of USA deaths were greatly increased because of this suppression of truth and providing inadequate information. Robert F. Kennedy Jr. was right about a lot of his COVID policy complaints. During COVID, I also read his book, The Real Anthony Fauci. In it, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. explains some errors about COVID policies, mentions treatments that the USA media tended to suppress, and  basically reported and documented that Dr. Fauci did not stand for true science, blocks items that do not align with his pharmaceutical and vaccine agenda, uses financial influence to get his way, and that Dr. Fauci has a long history of those types of things. Let me add that having encountered Dr. Fauci’s department in the 1990s, I was disappointed with the lack of real science and concern for health it employed back then.

Related to what is sometimes called science, notice the following:

20 O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called: (1 Timothy 6:20, KJV)

20 O Timothy! Guard what was committed to your trust, avoiding the profane and idle babblings and contradictions of what is falsely called knowledge (1 Timothy 6:20, NKJV)

Yes, many cling to what is falsely called science. Yet, much of it is sophisticated appearing quackery.

And that is the opinion of many in the scientific community:

June 1, 2015

Those who think science is the measure of all truth might want to check the data first.

Here’s a quote for you: “A lot of what is published [in scientific journals] is incorrect.” Care to guess where those words appeared? Not on a website that questions the “consensus of experts on climate change.” Nor do they appear in a publication associated with intelligent design or other critiques of Neo-Darwinism.

They appeared in the April 11, 2015, issue of the Lancet, the prestigious British medical journal.

The writer, Richard Horton, was quoting a participant at a recent symposium on the “reproducibility and reliability of biomedical research.” Specifically, the symposium discussed one of the “most sensitive issues in science today: the idea that something has gone fundamentally wrong with one of our greatest human creations.”

And he’s referring to scientific research—the research that not only purports to tell us how the world works, but, increasingly, how people should order their lives and societies.

As Horton told Lancet readers, “The case against science is straightforward: much of the scientific literature, perhaps half, may simply be untrue. Afflicted by studies with small sample sizes, tiny effects, invalid exploratory analyses, and flagrant conflicts of interest, together with an obsession for pursuing fashionable trends of dubious importance, science has taken a turn towards darkness.”

He continues, “In their quest for telling a compelling story, scientists too often sculpt data to fit their preferred theory of the world.”

We recently saw an example of this in a story about a much-publicized study purporting to show that voters were likely to change their minds about same-sex marriage if they were visited by gay pollsters who shared their stories with them.

Researchers seeking to reproduce the findings found discrepancies in the data and asked the original researcher for the original data. The researcher was unable to produce the original data. This led the lead researcher to request that the study be withdrawn. Even supporters of same-sex marriage acknowledged that the study and the conclusions drawn from it were fraudulent. http://www.breakpoint.org/bpcommentaries/entry/12/27474?spMailingID=11525872&spUserID=OTQ0MjM5NDU2S0&spJobID=560044991&spReportId=NTYwMDQ0OTkxS0

The actual percentage is probably more than half. A lot more than half.

Similarly, the editor in chief of the New England Journal of Medicine, Dr. Marcia Angell, wrote in 2009:

It is simply no longer possible to believe much of the clinical research that is published, or to rely on the judgment of trusted physicians or authoritative medical guidelines. I take no pleasure in this conclusion, which I reached slowly and reluctantly over my two decades as an editor of The New England Journal of Medicine.

Yes, much put out as health “science” is bought and paid for mainly for corporate and personal profit. It is not scientific truth.

Years ago, my wife and I watched the Ben Stein docu-movie Expelled; No Intelligence Allowed.

Here is some of what one Protestant minister named Bryan Griem wrote about Expelled :

Intelligence Allowed” has made Ben Stein the new hero of believers in God everywhere, and has landed a smart right cross to the protruding jaw of evolution’s elite…

Humorous film clips punctuate the movie, making what many might think a dry academic topic for theater-going into a smart romp and most enjoyable experience. Audiences are applauding as credits roll, and people are leaving theaters empowered as they perceive a mighty chink has now been made in the armor surrounding our culture’s impenetrable, atheistic, Darwinian monopoly.

There is little doubt that evolutionary belief and atheism go had in hand, as one after another of its intellectual proponents admit this to Stein. When Darwinism is embraced, atheism is sure to follow as death follows decapitation, and this fact appears born out as the elite interviewees confess the sequence in their own lives and careers.

One Cornell University professor in the movie positively conceded that the end result of accepting evolution was, for him, the realization that there is no free will and no after-life. This seems a peculiar and irrationally happy reaction to the prospect, and thinking people everywhere would find this a rather undesirable state of affairs if true. So much is at stake, and the conclusion of the godless mindset is neither certain nor very scientific.

In addition, Stein noted that “evolution’s top apologists have switched from defending Darwinism to attacking religion,” and this is really the thing upon which the movie most concentrates. Is the United States a freedom loving, free-thinking, intellectually inquisitive nation of cordial academic pursuit, or is it a politically correct, closed-minded arena of thought controlling, in-crowd Neanderthals? The latter seems to be the conclusion of internationals, and the audience will draw the same conclusion as professors and educators present their tales of discrimination, blacklisting, and defamation at the hands of the American evolutionary juggernaut and its related tentacles.

The evidence is clear that a glass ceiling exists for scientific professionals who would dare countenance the notion of God as an explanation for what they readily observe in their various disciplines, and one notable scientist (who actually discovered a planet) immediately lost tenure for merely suggesting other than the Darwinian status quo…

The Berlin wall is also included as something of an illustration for what our own culture is doing with regard to scientific dissent. The East Germans walled out the western ideas that might get across and upset its prevailing communistic philosophies, and so our own culture has erected non-material walls against one informed dissenting hypothesis, namely, Intelligent Design (ID).

Although I think it would have been more effective with several changes, I thought that Ben Stein’s film did a good job of pointing out how many are so afraid of the truth that they will often conspire against those who advocate it and use ridicule to try to prevent others from understanding views that differ from the mainstream.

I also liked the fact that the film pointed out how Adolf Hitler used extermination techniques consistent with Darwin’s views, and the fact that the acceptance of Darwinism is a major factor in both atheism (which I believe can be dis-proven, please see Is God’s Existence Logical?) and support of abortion (information on abortion can be found in the article Abortion, the Bible, and a Woman’s Right to Choose).

The anti-religion bias of money has been making a mockery of science.

Instead, Christians need to believe the truth of the Bible and no contradictions pretending to be science.

COGWA listed five damaging beliefs about Jesus

Friday, November 14th, 2025

COGwriter

The following article was put out by the Church of God, a Worldwide Association (COGWA):

Five Damaging Beliefs About Jesus Christ

Could sincerely held but inaccurate beliefs and theological dogmas really be damaging to our understanding and relationship with our Lord and Savior?

Damaging Belief 1: Jesus wasn’t sinless.

According to research by Barna, more than half of Americans (52 percent) agree that Jesus “committed sins like other people.”

But if they are right, the Bible is not true and Jesus could not be our Savior. Without a Savior, all hope would be lost.

The Bible says it many times, but let’s look at one. Speaking of Jesus, Hebrews 4:15 says, “For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin” (emphasis added throughout). …

Damaging Belief 2: Jesus loves us so much, He doesn’t care if we sin.

Americans were asked to respond to this statement: “Even the slightest sin deserves eternal damnation,” and a startling 61 percent strongly disagreed (Ligonier Ministries and LifeWay Research).

Lots of people either think sin isn’t so bad, or that Jesus doesn’t really care about it that much.

Jesus does love us, but the Bible also shows that He does care if we sin! Sin is what killed Him—our sins!

Why does He care about sin so much?

Consider what sin is. It is breaking the laws that God designed for our good (1 John 3:4; Deuteronomy 10:13). When we break His laws, we bring evil results. Sin is the ultimate cause of all evil and suffering.

In addition to all of the suffering sin causes throughout life, the way of sin ends in death. “The wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23). Every sin is the opposite of love, the opposite of God’s nature. God hates it!

But God the Father and Jesus Christ loved us so much that Jesus died in our place to give us a fresh start. That certainly doesn’t mean He doesn’t care if we continue to sin (Romans 6:1-2)! Jesus’ message to the woman taken in adultery is a message for us all: “Go and sin no more” (John 8:11).

Jesus loves us so much, He wants us to repent of sin (Mark 1:15) and to strive to keep His commandments (Matthew 19:17; John 15:10).

Damaging Belief 3: Satan is winning.

If you look at the number of people, past and present, who have claimed to be Christians compared to the whole population of the world, then it would seem Satan is winning. But will Satan really win in the long run, and are most people really lost forever?

God says He “desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth” (1 Timothy 2:4). But is that just a pointless wish from a Being who seems to be losing the majority of people to Satan?

The Bible shows there is a battle (Luke 4:1-13; Revelation 12:7-12), but God controls every part of it, including the eventual outcome. For example, in the book of Job, the devil had to get permission for the trials and tests he wanted to bring on Job (Job 1:11-12; 2:4-6). …

Damaging Belief 4: People who have never heard Jesus’ name will suffer in hell forever.

Related to damaging belief 3, we must consider: What about the billions of people who never heard the name of Jesus Christ—the only name by which we must be saved? As the apostle Peter said about the name of Jesus Christ: “Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12).

Some churchgoers answer this by disagreeing with Peter. In a LifeWay Research survey, 26 percent agreed, “If a person is sincerely seeking God, he/she can obtain eternal life through religions other than Christianity.” …

Damaging Belief 5: Jesus is only figuratively a King.

Many churches teach that the millennial reign of Jesus Christ is only figurative. Amillennialists don’t believe Jesus will be King on the earth for 1,000 years as promised in Revelation 20:4.

But Jesus told the Roman governor Pilate that He was born to be a king (John 18:37). His Kingdom is not “of this world” (verse 36)—not “of earthly origin or nature” (Thayer’s Greek Lexicon). It will be of heavenly origin, but the Bible clearly says He will literally come to earth again (Zechariah 14:4; Acts 1:11; Revelation 1:7; 11:15; 19:11-21). Then His disciples will also sit on thrones judging the 12 tribes of Israel (Luke 22:29-30).

Jesus said the meek would inherit the earth (Matthew 5:5), and they literally will as the Kingdom of God envelopes the world. In fact, Jesus said we should regularly pray, “Your kingdom come” (Matthew 6:10).

If we don’t believe Jesus is returning as King of Kings to rule on earth, we won’t be preparing to assist Him. Jesus warned us to watch, be ready, be faithful, be wise, be serving, be giving, be prepared (Matthew 24:42-47; 25:34-36; Luke 21:34-36). The Millennium and the Kingdom of God are essential parts of God’s plan—and followers of Christ must embrace them.

The above article was written by Mike Bennett. My wife Joyce and I met him and his wife several decades ago.

Anyway, he is right that there are many misconceptions of Jesus and God’s plan of salvation (which is also revealed by God’s Holy Days), plus a major disconnect as to the message of the Kingdom of God among most–but you can know the truth if you are willing to live and believe it.

There are also other ‘damaging beliefs’ about Jesus.

Some falsely claim that belief is all you need and not obedience.

Notice, though, that God’s Spirit is only given to those who will obey Him:

29 But Peter and the other apostles answered and said: “We ought to obey God rather than men. 30 The God of our fathers raised up Jesus whom you murdered by hanging on a tree. 31 Him God has exalted to His right hand to be Prince and Savior, to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins. 32 And we are His witnesses to these things, and so also is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey Him.” (Acts 5:29-32)

So, part of any proper relationship with God is obeying Him.

Christianity is more than a feeling or a one-time, claimed acceptance.

Feelings without obedience is not what the Bible teaches for Christians.

Notice that salvation itself is tied in with obedience:

9 And having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him, (Hebrews 5:9)

Jesus kept the commandments and was perfected–and those who wish to be saved need to obey Him! Watch: Believe Jesus: Obey and Build Character.

Some people falsely claim Jesus did not exist.

Others insist He was not the prophesied Messiah.

But those willing to accept the truth will recognize that Jesus was the prophesied Messiah.

Details on that are in our free online book: Proof Jesus is the Messiah.

Israel365 News posted the following:

Update and Clarification Regarding the Red Heifer from the Temple Institute and the Sanhedrin

November 13, 2025

The burning of the red heifer on July 1 marked a significant moment in Jewish tradition, sparking considerable discussion. The Temple Institute, which has long been preparing for this ritual, issued its first official statement on the event, …

Additionally, the Sanhedrin has issued its own statement regarding the event, lending further clarity and direction to the ongoing process. …

Over a decade ago, the Temple Institute launched its red heifer project and tasked Rabbi Azariah Ariel with studying the subject in depth.

It should be emphasized that the red heifer is used to purify the nation of Israel from impurity resulting from proximity to or contact with a dead body. This state of purity is necessary for Jews to ascend to the Temple. Non-Jews do not become ritually impure and do not enter the Temple, so the mitzvah of the red heifer is not relevant to them, though the Talmud describes the purchase of a red heifer from a non-Jew to be used to purify Jews for the Temple service. …

On July 1, a red heifer that had been housed at Shiloh by the Boneh Israel organization was prepared and burned on a pyre of wood at an undisclosed location in Samaria. The ceremony was carried out by a Kohen (a Jewish man descended from Aaron the priest). The cow was one of five red calves that were brought from Texas to Israel by Boneh Israel in September 2022

The Temple Institute statement reads as follows:

In light of incorrect information that has been published regarding the red heifer, the Temple Institute would like to announce:

1. For about ten years, the Temple Institute has been engaged in preparations for producing the ashes of the red heifer, both from an educational and practical perspective. The observance of these commandments, the raising of a red heifer according to Torah law, and the production of kosher ashes for the purification of the ritually impure, is very complex and includes thousands (!) of details, which require great knowledge and skill in execution. Therefore, the process also includes a number of practical experiments and exercises.

2. About three months ago, a practice was held in the Samarian mountains, in which a simulation of the making of the ashes of the red heifer was conducted.

3. Of course, ashes of the red heifer that are not made on the Mount of Olives while facing the site of the Holy Temple are completely invalid (Mishnah, Para 4:2; Rambam, Para Aduma 4:5). Therefore, we clarify that the simulation was only an exercise, part of a series of exercises …

4. For this reason, the ashes were mostly left by us in place without any care on our part. …

5. Anyone who claims otherwise, that the heifer was kosher and the ashes produced from it are kosher for the purpose of purification, is mistaken and misleading, either intentionally or unintentionally.

6. There are currently four red heifers at the Shiloh site, some of which are owned by Rabbi Ariel, head of the Temple Institute. Their halachic status has not yet been definitively determined, and we are monitoring them.

7. The real red heifer will be made, G-d willing, when we have a kosher red heifer …

After deliberation, the nascent Sanhedrin released a statement regarding the event:

Sanhedrin Decision from the 19th of Cheshvan, 5786 [Nov. 10, 2025]

Ruling of the Sanhedrin Court on the Matter of Red Heifer Ashes

We sat together as one court. …

Anyone who invents something other than the Seven Noahide Commandments causes those who listen to him to sin, and this includes anyone who invents that the ashes from a red heifer exercise purify Gentiles, or heals Gentiles, or anything else – such a person is among the fraudsters and swindlers, and one must distance oneself from him and distance him. https://israel365news.com/413978/update-and-clarification-regarding-the-red-heifer/

Let’s address some of these issues.

First of all, the Sanhedrin is right that a red heifer sacrifice (like the one in July or a future one) does not purify Gentiles (or scripturally anyone else in the church age).

The New Testament teaches us the following:

11 But Christ came as High Priest of the good things to come, with the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands, that is, not of this creation. 12 Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption. 13 For if the blood of bulls and goats and the ashes of a heifer, sprinkling the unclean, sanctifies for the purifying of the flesh, 14 how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? (Hebrews 9:11-15)

Christians do not need any heifer, but certain Jews who reject Jesus’ sacrifice think that the Jews do.

Secondly, we see that the Temple Institute has officially declared that that July 1st sacrifice of a red heifer does not count.

A few months back, a reader who has attended CCOG church services asked if I had watch a particular video on the red heifer (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5bW_S2ho1bE), and I said I had not. Anyway, I later watched it. It featured Adam King who held up a packet of what he said were ashes from the red heifer that was sacrificed and burnt on 1 July 2025.

He made several claims about this sacrifice:

  • It met all the necessary criteria.
  • The people associated with sacrifice this misled government authorities to get permission to do it.
  • The red heifer did not have any non-red hairs.
  • Since this was done properly, now the ‘third temple’ can be built.

Here is what I posted about that on August 18, 2025 (see Does the red heifer sacrifice mean that a ‘third temple’ can now be built?):

Now, let’s deal with some of Adam King’s claims.

According to the Temple Institute that the animal sacrificed was disqualified.

According to the Temple Institute the heifer did have non-red hairs.

According to something still (as of 08/18/25) at the Temple Institute website, it was the Messiah that was supposed to sacrifice the animal. The last page of a post from the Temple Institute had the following:

The Tenth Red Heifer Will be Prepared by the Messiah

In recounting this historical record in his commentary to the Mishna, the great Maimonides ends with the enigmatic statement: “… and the tenth red heifer will be accomplished by the king, the Messiah; may he be revealed speedily, Amen, May it be G-d’s will.” … With the words of Maimonides in mind, we cannot help but wonder and pray: If there are now red heifers… is ours the era that will need them? https://templeinstitute.org/red-heifer-the-tenth-red-heifer/

The Bible does not teach the above, but the Temple Institute has accepted various traditions as commandments of God, which simply are not.

According to me, the animal sacrifice appeared to meet the biblical criteria and was acceptable to some now and likely may be acceptable to others later.

But perhaps most importantly, I do not believe that the Temple Institute plans to tell people they misled the government and that they changed their minds about the qualifications of that heifer.

As far as the biblical requirements go, it is not biblically required for a red heifer to be sacrificed on the Mount of Olives–that is simply a later Jewish tradition.

The third main point to mention is that once again, the Temple Institute says it has four red heifer candidates, so we may see one of them sacrificed in the next few years.

That said, the July sacrifice of a red heifer was significant and it may or may not be the last ritually sanctified one. Related to that sacrifice we have the following related video:

14:58

The Last Red Heifer?

The Last Red Heifer? What does that mean? On 1 July 2025, a red heifer was sacrificed in Israel. Over ten gallons of ashes of that red heifer were reportedly collected. Some believe this sacrifice fulfilled the requirements in the Old Testament, whereas others said this was only a practice run. The Book of Numbers teaches that the ashes of red heifer are required to be added to the waters of purification for the purifying of sin. Certain Jews want the ashes for reasons including another temple and animal sacrifices, whereas others assert that the sacrifices can be resumed without a red heifer approved by the Temple Institute or the reconstituted Sanhedrin. “So what?” you say? “Who cares if some Jews want sacrifice animals again?”, you ask? Well, what if animal sacrifices are prophesied to begin again prior to the return of Jesus Christ? Would that make a difference? If all prophecy must be fulfilled, and it must, could there be any connection to the ashes of a red heifer? Since the Temple Institute disqualified the red heifer that was sacrificed 1 July 2025 as being ceremonially disqualified because of 2 or 3 non-red hairs, could it change its mind? Would never accepting that sacrifice delay the return of our Messiah? After all, all prophecy must be fulfilled. Dr. Thiel contends that the position of the Temple Institute regarding a few non-red hairs, as well as its posted position that the Messiah would be the one to sacrifice the last red heifer, are simply not biblical. Dr. Thiel also points to the sacrifice of Jesus as eliminating the need for Christians to have the ashes of a red heifer for purification. So, now what? Watch this video and listen as Dr. Thiel shines the light of Biblical prophecy from the pages of the Bible on the Jewish need for the ashes of a red heifer and the resumption of animal sacrifices.

Here is a link to our video: The Last Red Heifer?

Now, the Bible does not prophesy the need for another red heifer. Why? Because the New Testament says the ashes of one are not needed for Christian redemption.

Yet, biblically, we know that the daily animal sacrifices will be re-implemented by certain Jews as the prophet Daniel was inspired to numerous times that they would be stopped:

9 And out of one of them came a little horn which grew exceedingly great toward the south, toward the east, and toward the Glorious Land. 10 And it grew up to the host of heaven; and it cast down some of the host and some of the stars to the ground, and trampled them. 11 He even exalted himself as high as the Prince of the host; and by him the daily sacrifices were taken away, and the place of His sanctuary was cast down. 12 Because of transgression, an army was given over to the horn to oppose the daily sacrifices; and he cast truth down to the ground. He did all this and prospered.

13 Then I heard a holy one speaking; and another holy one said to that certain one who was speaking, “How long will the vision be, concerning the daily sacrifices and the transgression of desolation, the giving of both the sanctuary and the host to be trampled underfoot?”

14 And he said to me, “For two thousand three hundred days; then the sanctuary shall be cleansed.”  (Daniel 8:9-14)

27 Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week;
But in the middle of the week
He shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering … (Daniel 9:27)

31 And forces shall be mustered by him, and they shall defile the sanctuary fortress; then they shall take away the daily sacrifices, and place there the abomination of desolation. (Daniel 11:31)

11 “And from the time that the daily sacrifice is taken away, and the abomination of desolation is set up, there shall be one thousand two hundred and ninety days. 12 Blessed is he who waits, and comes to the one thousand three hundred and thirty-five days.  (Daniel 12:11)

So, we see that after a deal is made, 3 1/2 years later, sacrifices will be stopped. By who? Well, the “he” above was called a “prince” in Daniel 9:26. He will become the King of the North Beast leader as discussed in Daniel 11:31, 40 and his forces will place an abomination when the sacrifices are stopped (Daniel 11:31). That placement is something that Jesus pointed to as a sign of the end in Matthew 24:15 and Mark 13:14.  Since Daniel shows that those that wait the 1335 days are then blessed–this looks to be a reference to Jesus returning and establishing the Kingdom of God a little less than four years after the daily sacrifices are stopped by the Beast!

It should be understood that the Bible itself nowhere teaches that animal sacrifices require a temple in Jerusalem. Also, the position of certain other Jewish scholars is that a physical temple, while helpful, is NOT required.

Until Solomon built the first temple (1 Kings 6:14), the Bible shows that the Jews sacrificed on altars. David, Solomon’s father, for example sacrificed on an altar (2 Samuel 24:25), as did Aaron and his descendants (Exodus 20:24; Leviticus 1:10-11).  And prior to all of that, Abel (Genesis 4:4), Noah (Genesis 8:20), Abraham (Genesis 22:9-13), and others sacrificed animals to God.

So for over 3,000 years, animal sacrifices were offered without a Jewish temple.

Even after the first Jerusalem temple was destroyed and left in ruins, the Bible itself specifically shows that sacrifices were made in the time of Ezra BEFORE the second temple was ready:

6 From the first day of the seventh month began they to offer burnt offerings unto the LORD. But the foundation of the temple of the LORD was not yet laid. (Ezra 3:6)

One may argue that since it takes the participation of Jewish religious leaders in order for Jewish animal sacrifices to be resumed in the 21st century, that the above scripture is a moot point.

And it might be if there were no Jewish religious leaders that thought that they could not sacrifice without a temple.

Yet the fact is, that although they are in the minority, there are significant numbers of Jewish religious leaders who are intent on starting animal sacrifices as soon as possible. And these Jewish leaders do not believe that they have to wait in order for a temple to rebuilt in order to do so.

Notice the following:

The 71 members of the “Re-established Sanhedrin” say they want to begin sacrificing animals again, despite the absence of the Temple, the ritual altar and all the required implements listed in the Bible. Rabbi Dov Stein of the group admitted…

“We want to do the sacrifice, but we have political problems,” Stein said. “We hope there will come a time when the government will agree. We will push for that to happen.” (Rabbis aim to renew animal sacrifices. Associated Press. Feb 28, 2007. http://www.jpost.com)

The “Sanhedrin” group referred to above began to form in 2004 and claims to have “the consent of hundreds of rabbis, scholars and leaders” (http://www.thesanhedrin.org/en/index.php/The_Sanhedrin_Initiative viewed 09/11/08). It also has been working on implements, including those related to having an altar.

Last decade, representatives of both the Temple Institute and the Sanhedrin directly told me that animal sacrifices can be resumed without a ‘third temple.’ Those who think that a massive ‘third temple’ must first be built will overlook and misunderstand many prophecies.

Since the sacrifices will be stopped they must first start. And that is something that the Temple Institute and Sanhedrin are working towards.

As Jesus said:

35 Watch therefore, for you do not know when the master of the house is coming — in the evening, at midnight, at the crowing of the rooster, or in the morning — 36 lest, coming suddenly, he find you sleeping. 37 And what I say to you, I say to all: Watch!” (Mark 13:35-37)

The animal sacrifice situation is one of the events we in the Continuing Church of God are watching for.

Now, is a third temple required to resume those daily animal sacrifices?

No.

All that is needed it an altar, a consecrated high priest, and perhaps a tent.

The Jews have that. Related to that, we have the following video:

14:58

Temple Institute, Heifers, Hamas, and a Tent

In March 2024, the Temple Institute recently pointed out that how God blessed the Sabbath, He also blessed the construction of a tent tabernacle. They pointed out progress from the ancient Israelites. Should Christians be making spiritual progress each year before Passover? The Temple institute has stated that the area called ‘the Temple Mount’ needs to be cleared of Muslim mosques, etc. so that a ‘third temple’ can be built. It also claims that it has four thriving red heifers, one of which it want to sacrifice before the implementation of regular animal sacrifices. Has Hamas claimed that the existence and possible use of a red heifer was a factor in its attack in Israel on October 7, 2023? Does the Temple Institute believe it must have a massive temple in order for sacrifices to resume? Or is having a priesthood, an altar, and a tent enough? What does the Sanhedrin say about that? Did Ezra write that animal sacrifices were made after the first temple was destroyed, but before the second temple was started? Is that believed by numerous modern Jewish rabbis and scholars? Does the Bible teach that regular animal sacrifices will be resumed? Could there be any relationship to the stopping of them and the return of Jesus? Is the day of Jesus coming getting much closer? Dr. Thiel and Steve Dupuie address these issues.

We all need to watch and pray as Jesus said in Luke 21:36 and grow in grace and knowledge and as the Apostle Paul wrote:

25  … exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.  (Hebrews 10:25)

That day is approaching more and more.

Sacrifices will be resumed, with or without, a red heifer that the Temple Institute accepts.

Biblical prophecies will be fulfilled.
