Russia has been using a base in Iran to strike against forces opposed to Syria’s Bashar al-Assad:

Russia has said its use of an Iranian airbase to carry out bombing missions in Syria does not violate a UN resolution that forbids supplying fighter jets to Tehran.

“There has been no supply, sale or transfer of combat jets to Iran,” Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Wednesday in comments reported by the Russian state news agency TASS.

“These jets are being used by Russian Air forces with Iranian consent within an anti-terrorist operation in Syria on the request of the legal Syrian government.” …

The defence ministry in Moscow said on Wednesday that Russian Su-34 warplanes took off from an airbase in Iran and conducted a raid against ISIL in the Syrian province of Deir al-Zour.

The attack hit two ISIL command points and large training camps, “eliminating more than 150 militants”, the ministry said in comments carried by TASS.

Al Jazeera’s Reza Sayah, reporting from Gazientep on the Turkey-Syria border, said recent rebel victories, including the breaking of the siege of rebel-held Aleppo, may have been behind Russia’s decision to use the air base.

“In recent weeks, the rebels have gained some momentum, including the breaking of the government’s siege of Aleppo. The recent battlefield victories are another reason why some expect the Russian air campaign to intensify with the help from the air base in Iran.”

On Tuesday, Russian fighter jets used an Iranian airbase for the first time for military actions in Syria, TASS reported.

Abdul Jabbar al-Okaidi, an opposition leader and spokesman for the Free Syrian Army in Aleppo told Al Jazeera that the Russian move was “not a surprise.”

“Russia and Iran are partners in the killing of the Syrian people and partners in support of Assad. There is no reason to be surprised. This has become a game. First it was the Americans, then the Russians and now the Iranians. An ‘independent’ who was once part of the same COG group I was, emailed me and wanted to tie Russia’s use of an Iranian base and its current cooperation with China to Ezekiel 38 and Ezekiel 39.

Is it?

No. At least not in the sense he meant it.

He sent the following in two emails (blue color from him):

Ezekiel 38 is in our time (Ezekiel 39:22 proves that).

The only clue as to when this prophecy applies is 39:22.

I responded back by trying to have him look at the context with Ezekiel 39:21 as well as information related to Ezekiel 38. So, let’s look at Ezekiel 39:21-22 to see if this is pointing to Ezekiel 38 being for ‘our time’ meaning prior to the start of the Great Tribulation, etc.:

21 “I will set My glory among the nations; all the nations shall see My judgment which I have executed, and My hand which I have laid on them. 22 So the house of Israel shall know that I am the Lord their God from that day forward. (Ezekiel 39:21-22)

Verse 22 does not prove that Ezekiel 38 is ‘for our time.’ The ‘house of Israel‘ does NOT know who the real God is and will not know until after the Great Tribulation.

Notice the first 6 verses from Ezekiel 38:

1 Now the word of the Lord came to me, saying, 2 “Son of man, set your face against Gog, of the land of Magog, the prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal, and prophesy against him, 3 and say, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “Behold, I am against you, O Gog, the prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal. 4 I will turn you around, put hooks into your jaws, and lead you out, with all your army, horses, and horsemen, all splendidly clothed, a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords. 5 Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya are with them, all of them with shield and helmet; 6 Gomer and all its troops; the house of Togarmah from the far north and all its troops — many people are with you.

7 “Prepare yourself and be ready, you and all your companies that are gathered about you; and be a guard for them.

Verses 1-7 talk about a group getting ready to battle. Various nations such as Russia, Iran, Asians, and others are included here.

But what does the Bible actually teach about the timing?

Notice the next two verses from Ezekiel 38:

8 After many days you will be visited. In the latter years you will come into the land of those brought back from the sword and gathered from many people on the mountains of Israel, which had long been desolate; they were brought out of the nations, and now all of them dwell safely. 9 You will ascend, coming like a storm, covering the land like a cloud, you and all your troops and many peoples with you.”

Verses 8-9 refer to a regathering of Israel. Why do certain prophecy watchers say that it is for now?

Well, PCG’s Gerald Flurry claimed to get some type of message (see PCG’s Gerald Flurry somewhat calling himself the ‘son of man’ and claims to have God’s message for Vladimir Putin), but his message does not trump the Bible.

The ‘independent’ individual who wrote me, in my view, has let his independence confuse him.

Ezekiel 38 is something various Protestants have also misunderstood in light of events over the past couple of years.

CBN, for example, reported:

Russia’s New Alliance: Biblical Prophecy Coming to Life?

Rosenberg refers to the book of Ezekiel and prophecies that involve an alliance of Russia, Syria, and Iran all alligned against Israel.

He told CBN News that for the first time in 2,500 years that scenario is a reality. Some Protestant prophecy watchers believe that the addition of Russian forces to the region will lead to the relatively near term fulfillment of prophecies in Ezekiel 38 and 39. As far as Ezekiel 38 goes, it cannot be fulfilled for over a thousand years from now (see also Ezekiel 38: For Russia & Iran in Our Day?).

Why do certain Protestants have a different view?

Because various Protestants believe that the creation of the nation of Israel in 1948 fulfills verse 8. Notice one example:

GOD warns Iran (Persia), with Russia (Magog), and a coalition of allies (including Turkey, Libya, Sudan) will go to war and will invade Israel. In Ezekiel 38-39 the Bible warns this coming war between Iran (Persia) and Israel will take place sometime after Israel has been re-gathered into Her land as a nation (which was fulfilled on May 14, 1948) http://www.alphanewsdaily.com/Warning%206%20Russia%20Iran%20Invasion.html accessed 10/17/15

Yet, this is not really the fulfillment for several reasons (watch also the video Israel, 1948, and Prophecy).

One reason is that even today most Jews do not live in the nation of Israel. The Jewish diaspora is scattered throughout the world. But the other problem is that many do not realize that there are multiple millions of the descendants of Israel that are not of the tribe of Judah. The Bible shows that Israel split into the kingdoms of Judah and Israel after the reign of Solomon and that later the ten tribes that were part of Israel (cf. 1 Kings 11:31,35; 12:16-17; 12:20-23) were carried into captivity (2 Kings 17:21-23). Those tribes represent hundreds of millions of people currently alive, and as there are less than 6,000,000 Jews in Israel, most simply have not been regathered (more information on the tribes of Israel is in the article Anglo – America in Prophecy & the Lost Tribes of Israel).

Furthermore, pay close attention to the part of verse 8 about people dwelling safely. That is NOT the case in Israel today.

Additionally, notice verses 10-13:

10 ‘Thus says the Lord God: “On that day it shall come to pass that thoughts will arise in your mind, and you will make an evil plan: 11 You will say, ‘I will go up against a land of unwalled villages; I will go to a peaceful people, who dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates’ —  12 to take plunder and to take booty, to stretch out your hand against the waste places that are again inhabited, and against a people gathered from the nations, who have acquired livestock and goods, who dwell in the midst of the land. 13 Sheba, Dedan, the merchants of Tarshish, and all their young lions will say to you, ‘Have you come to take plunder? Have you gathered your army to take booty, to carry away silver and gold, to take away livestock and goods, to take great plunder?’”‘

The nation of Israel currently has its walls and “iron dome” and military weaponry.

Notice that it is against a ‘peaceful people’ in unarmed villages that the prince of Rosh is going against. This cannot happen until AFTER the return of Jesus.

Furthermore, there simply is not a plan to take a lot of gold and silver out of Israel right now by the power of the far north, nor does the current nation of Israel have enough of it to likely justify an attack for that purpose (unless perhaps some hidden gold/silver mines or remaining treasure of David).

Notice the following:

According to Index Mundi, the nation of Israel was not amongst the top 48 producers of silver in the world, so its supply of this would also seem to be limited–it also confirmed that Israel does not have gold reserves (though there is some gold and silver in coins, etc. in Israel). Israel in the early 21st century is NOT the target of Ezekiel 38.

Ezekiel was further inspired to write:

14 “Therefore, son of man, prophesy and say to Gog, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “On that day when My people Israel dwell safely, will you not know it?  15 Then you will come from your place out of the far north, you and many peoples with you, all of them riding on horses, a great company and a mighty army. 16 You will come up against My people Israel like a cloud, to cover the land. It will be in the latter days that I will bring you against My land, so that the nations may know Me, when I am hallowed in you, O Gog, before their eyes.” (Ezekiel 38:1-17)

So, a power from the far north, which would seem to have to be Russian-led as it is the only major military power in the far north now, and may be the only one also in the future, will come. But again, notice that this happens when Israel is dwelling safely.

Notice the following observation by the old Worldwide Church of God:

The events of Ezekiel 38 and 39 are without question still future – for the “latter days” (38: 16) and “latter years” (38:8). Moreover, Ezekiel 38:14 describes the time setting as being “in that day when my people of Israel dwelleth safely.” This is certainly not the situation in the State of Israel to- day! The Israel described by Ezekiel is a nation that dwells in security, in unwalled villages, totally unprepared for war (38:8, 11, 14). (Southeast Asia in Prophecy. Ambassador College Press, 1985)

And while Ezekiel 38 does mention Russia and Iran, the tiny nation of Israel is not now a “land of unwalled villages” with “a peaceful people who dwell safely” (Ezekiel 38:10-11). Can anyone seriously believe that it is?

We are not particularly close to the fulfillment of Ezekiel 38. Those who believe otherwise are in error.

There are, however, many Jewish, Protestant (see Dangerous Protestant Prophetic Errors), Catholic (e.g. Do Certain Catholic Prophecies About Antichrist Warn Against Jesus?), and even COG (watch Laodicean Errors in Prophecy) errors in prophecy. Believe what the Bible says above false traditions and interpretations of men. You may also wish to watch the video Russia, Iran, Syria, & the Bible (Code).

While few wish to believe it, the West or even Russia will not solve the problems in that region of the world. It will take the return of Jesus Christ and the establishment of the Kingdom of God to truly solve all of the conflicts in the world, including those in Syria and Iran. And more conflict is coming first.

More are realizing that neonicotinoids are causing massive declines in bee populations:

The world’s most popular pesticide probably killed England’s wild bees

Since around 2002, farmers in the English countryside have been using neonic insecticides to protect their abundant oilseed crops spanning 8.2 million hectares. Now, scientists are linking the chemicals, also called neonicotinoids, to the death of half of the wild bee population in the country, according to a new study published in Nature Communications.

Many bee species forage on the bright yellow oilseed crops that grow in the UK. The seeds for these crops are coated with neonicotinoids upon planting. Then, the chemical systematically expresses itself in all cells of the growing plant. Bees that feed on the plant ingest the chemical through the pollen or nectar.

Researchers studied 62 species of wild bees across England from 1994 to 2011. Over the last nine years, the decline in population size was three times worse among species that regularly fed on oilseed plants compared to others that forage on different floral resources, the study found. Five species showed declines of 20% or more, with the worst-hit species experiencing a 30% drop in its population.

In Europe, 9.2% of the continent’s almost 2,000 bee species are facing extinction, according to one assessment. But until now, it’s been hard to quantify how seriously chemicals have impacted bees. “Pesticides and beekeeping have been butting heads for 50-plus years,” David R. Tarpy, a professor at North Carolina State University’s department of entomology, told Quartz.“[Pesticides are] clearly part of the equation, but we don’t know the relative magnitude.” http://qz.com/760688/bee-colony-collapse-due-to-neonicotinoids-the-worlds-most-popular-pesticide/

The above news report did not name it, but “RoundUp” by Monsanto is one of the most widely used neonicotinoids, though it is mainly an herbicide. Notice also the following:

I have written about bees before (see UN reports on massive declines in bee and buttefly populations and Bees seem to get addicted to pesticide that may be devastating their population). The precise cause can be debated, but it appears that pesticides and items related to genetically-modified crops are factors (RoundUp is used with several GMO crops). Bees are needed to improve the pollination of many foods and losses of bees can affect the food supply. Some day, real hunger will come to the USA (cf. Ezekiel 5: 5:16).

The USA, UK, and other parts of the world are at risk of food shortages if the bee situation gets much worse. The effects of GMOs, pesticides, and agricultural chemicals are more complicated than many realize. It is good that the US federal government is looking into this, but the reality is that the USA government has basically protected Monsanto from negative affects of its GMO projects (see H.R. 933 includes pro-GMO provision that some call ‘Monsanto Protection Act’ and Thousands worldwide march against Monsanto).

Some have called the decimation of bees a ‘‘Bee Apocalypse’‘–and that could very well be a step towards the real apocalypse and the start of the Great Tribulation of Matthew 24:21.

But, why be so concerned about bees? Basically because bees are necessary for the pollenization of many plants that humans eat. Losing bees could be devastating.

Overall, humans need bees much more that bees physically need humans.

Jesus warned that one of the “signs” of the end of the age would be famine:

7…And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows. (Matthew 24:6-8)

We seem to be in the time Jesus called “the beginning of sorrows.”

Between the widespread and growing use of genetically modified (GMO) “foods,” pesticides, herbicides, and synthesized sweeteners, countries like the USA and UK are putting themselves at risk for the famines which are certain to come. Losing bees perhaps should be a sign that things are beginning to worsen.

At some time, famine will come to the USA and UK and many will die from it:

15 ‘So it shall be a reproach, a taunt, a lesson, and an astonishment to the nations that are all around you, when I execute judgments among you in anger and in fury and in furious rebukes. I, the Lord, have spoken. 16 When I send against them the terrible arrows of famine which shall be for destruction, which I will send to destroy you, I will increase the famine upon you and cut off your supply of bread. 17 So I will send against you famine and wild beasts, and they will bereave you. Pestilence and blood shall pass through you, and I will bring the sword against you. I, the Lord, have spoken.’ (Ezekiel 5:15-17)

Low interest rates, negative yields on government debt and quantitative easing are part of the biggest financial experiment in world history, and the consequences are yet unknown, says RIT Capital Partners Chairman Lord Rothschild.

“The six months under review have seen central bankers continuing what is surely the greatest experiment in monetary policy in the history of the world. We are therefore in uncharted waters and it is impossible to predict the unintended consequences of very low interest rates, with some 30 percent of global government debt at negative yields, combined with quantitative easing on a massive scale,” Rothschild writes in the company’s semi-annual financial report.

The banker notes this policy has led to a rapid growth of stock markets – US stocks have grown threefold since 2008 – with investments growing and volatility remaining low.

However, the real sector of economy didn’t enjoy such a profit, as “growth remains anemic, with weak demand and deflation in many parts of the developed world,” according to Rothschild.

Last year, Jacob Rothschild stated that the world was in its most dangerous place since World War II (see Jacob Rothschild: World most dangerous since WWII). It does not seem like he thinks it is less dangerous now.

As far as the global economic condition goes, yesterday, I posted about what some believe are massive risks to the US economy and its currency, some steps of which are expected to be implemented next month–see Plot to destroy US dollar for September 30, 2016? Or is it ‘Will history record September 4th, 2016 as the day the dollar died?’ The reality is that the debt, quantitative easing, and other forms of legal counterfeiting that the USA has been engaged in is a monetary experiment that will explode and lead to the end of the USA according biblical prophecies like the following:

3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry…5 Indeed, because he transgresses by wine, He is a proud man… 6 “Will not all these take up a proverb against him, And a taunting riddle against him, and say, ‘Woe to him who increases What is not his–how long? And to him who loads himself with many pledges’? 7 Will not your creditors rise up suddenly? Will they not awaken who oppress you? And you will become their booty. 8 Because you have plundered many nations, All the remnant of the people shall plunder you. Because of men’s blood And the violence of the land and the city, And of all who dwell in it. (Habakkuk 2:3,5,6-8).

The above prophecy will be fulfilled at the time of the end (cf. “The message was true, but the appointed time was long…in the latter days, for the vision refers to many days yet to come,” Daniel 10:1,14). Daniel 8:19, 11:27,29,35 use the same Hebrew term for “appointed time” as Habakkuk 2:3, while Daniel 10, using a different term, ties the latter days to the time in Daniel 8:19. It must be a nation or group of nations with some prominence at the appointed time of the end–like the most heavily indebted nation of all time–the USA!

‘Something is VERY broken’ Deutsche Bank at DANGER level that could SMASH markets

GERMANY’S biggest bank is in more trouble than people even think and could drag down some of Europe’s biggest lenders to trigger a market meltdown, according to a hedge fund manager who is betting against the firm.

Deutsche Bank is dangerously underfunded, highly indebted, and people are oblivious, according to Brad Lamensdorf who runs the Ranger Equity Bear ETF.

Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk, the US-based investor and trading strategist warned: “Deutsche is in more trouble than people realise.”

At the moment stock markets in the US are at record highs, while in British and German markets are also enjoying a good run.

But Mr Lamensdorf questioned what would happen to Deutsche – one of Germany’s largest lenders – if if there was a market correction of between 5 and 10 per cent.

So, it is not just the USA with financial issues.

Does that have prophetic ramifications?

The Bible tells of a time of Jacob’s trouble (Jeremiah 30:7; see also When Will the Great Tribulation Begin?), the final time of the Gentiles (see again When Will the Great Tribulation Begin?), and the rise of a worldwide trading power based in Europe (Revelation 17 & 18, see also Europa, the Beast, and Revelation)).

Might economic issues help lead to this?

Consider something that the late Herbert W. Armstrong stated in a sermon on July 7, 1984:

And I can see now, the event that is going to trigger the formation of the reunification in Europe; the resurrection of the medieval Holy Roman Empire that we’ve been looking forward to that is prophesied to come…

But I believe that some event is going to happen suddenly just like out a blue sky that is going to shock the whole world and is going to cause the nations in Europe to realize they must unite! … Well now I think I can see what may be the very event that is going to trigger…that is the economic situation in the world…

The whole banking structure in the United States is a network all jointed together. But not only that, one nation has to deal with other nations and imports and exports. And so they have to have a means of transforming money from one nation to another. And so the banking structure is international and interwoven…

Now when the financial structure breaks down, all civilization is going to break down…

The global monetary policy expansion that Jacob Rothschild brought up will be an experiment that will end in disaster. It is not that the policies cannot appear to have positive results, or that there will not be ups as well as downs, but in the long run, certain crises will arise.

Europe will reorganize (Revelation 17:12-13; see also Must the Ten Kings of Revelation 17:12 Rule over Ten Currently Existing Nations?) and arise as a military power (Revelation 13:4; see also Europa, the Beast, and Revelation). The USA will collapse financially and be taken over (Habakkuk 2:6-8; Daniel 11:39; see also Anglo – America in Prophecy & the Lost Tribes of Israel)

Financial policies are getting the world closer to World War III. And the USA (and its Anglo-Saxon descended allies) will not win this one (cf. Daniel 11:39), and the survivors subject to slavery (see Will the Anglo-Saxon Nations be Divided and Have People Taken as Slaves?).

Various of Germany’s political leaders, when commenting about the Democratic and Republican nominees for the US presidency, have repeatedly made negative statements against Donald Trump, but not so much against Hillary Clinton.

Germany’s European affairs minister Michael Roth told the Reuters news agency that statements made by US Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump about Germany’s reaction to the refugee influx were incorrect. …

“I’m sorry that the Republican presidential candidate trumpets out things like that without any factual basis,” Roth told Reuters.

“If he had studied the actual situation in Germany, he would know that, while the many refugees who came to Germany and Europe pose a big challenge for us, and everything is still not completely resolved, they have not led to a massive increase in crime rates,” Reuters further quoted the minister as saying. …

He also stressed that Trump’s comments were based on “fears, lies and half-truths”, while underlining the importance of the US election and its outcome for the entire world …

Trump had said earlier that German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s decision to welcome more than a million refugees to Germany in 2015 was a “disaster.” He had made the comments during a campaign rally in Ohio earlier in the week, likening his Democratic rival Hillary Clinton to the German leader.

“In short, Hillary Clinton wants to be America’s Angela Merkel and you know what a disaster this massive immigration has been to Germany and the people of Germany,” Trump said in his statement.

“Crime has risen to levels that no one thought they would ever, ever see. It is a catastrophe.”

Statistics compiled by the German Interior Ministry showed that the number of crimes reported in 2015 remained essentially unchanged from the previous year (excluding visa and other immigration violations). …

In addition to Clinton, incumbent US President Barack Obama has also spoken in favor of Merkel’s policy, saying that Germany was acting on the right side of history. …

As far as crime statistics go, it is interesting to note that it appears that if immigration violations are included (and these are usually considered to be crimes), reported crime apparently did go up in Germany. The way this was reported in two articles I saw in the German press attempted to make Donald Trump’s claim about German crime rising false. While his claim about it rising “to levels that no one thought they would ever” may be in error (I say may be, because there could be categories of crime that rose dramatically, but I have not seen those details published in the English language), it is likely that crime in Germany (reported and otherwise) has risen, at least a bit.

History is being written right now in America. That is always exciting. But in this case it is also dramatic. An entire country is changing before our eyes. Though he may not have started it, Donald Trump is the man who is now speeding up and steering this process in a very dangerous direction. Like a bulldozer on a rampage, he is destroying the foundations of this freedom-loving and once so self-assured nation.

And the country is letting him do it. …

Has America given up?

The country seems rotten, like a once mighty tree that is leaning precariously. It remains to be seen if it can weather the gathering storm or will come crashing down.

In the eyes of a growing number of voters, the country’s elite, which only thinks of itself, is also rotten. It is an elite that, despite the country’s economic well-being, has starved the middle-class and robbed them of the fruits of their labor. The fact that more and more Americans are growing angry is understandable. But the conclusions that they are reaching are not. …

Searching for a tough guy

Trump is the tough guy many people feel could finally change things. Even if it seems stupefying: When he hammers away at the masses, repeating that he will “beat” the Chinese, the Mexicans and whoever else he has to in order to “make America great again,” he is guaranteed thundering applause. Even though he has not provided a single workable political policy. …

Fear and aggression

Trump’s success says a lot about Americans and about the state of the nation. But what can be inferred from these messages is not good. Not good for America and not good for Germany and America’s other allies.

The country is changing. Decency and politeness are apparently on the decline, mean-spiritedness and ruthlessness are rewarded. Global responsibility is being replaced by nationalist egocentricity. Fear and aggression are now coming together in an unholy symbiosis. Trump is the champion of this paradigm shift. Many think he’s great simply because he is so mean. …

It is also not a forgone conclusion that Hillary Clinton, should she be her party’s nominee, will be able to derail the increasingly likely Republican presidential nominee Donald J. Trump. BERLIN German Vice Chancellor Sigmar Gabriel has criticized leading Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump as a right-wing populist whose political views pose a threat to peace and prosperity. …

“Whether Donald Trump, Marine le Pen or Geert Wilders – all these right-wing populists are not only a threat to peace and social cohesion, but also to economic development,” Gabriel told Welt am Sonntag newspaper in an interview published on Sunday.

Donald Trump, having clinched the Republican Party’s nomination for the Nov. 8 presidential election, threatens U.S. and world security with his “politics of fear and isolation,” German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier said on Wednesday.

Steinmeier told Reuters in a written interview that he was concerned about what he called Trump’s ambiguous vows to “make America strong again,” while simultaneously reducing its engagement overseas.

“That is contradictory and it makes me concerned,” Steinmeier said as he headed to Washington for meetings with other foreign and defense ministers to assess the U.S.-led effort to defeat the Islamic State extremist group.

While statements against Donald Trump have been direct, statement related to Hillary Clinton have not been nearly so negative, normally positive if anything (see, for example, the following from the German press yesterday: Is Merkel’s immigration policy like Clinton’s?).

Several months ago, I wrote:

Even if Donald Trump does not become US President, the fact that Donald Trump has done as well with voters as he has is an offense to the Europeans and is getting them to question their connections to the USA.

Now, I wrote the above statement months before Donald Trump secured the Republican nomination. And notice the following confirmation from one apparently from Germany:

The US has long warned its European partners it was losing patience with paying the majority of NATO’s bills. The nomination of Donald Trump has made the threats of a US withdrawal from NATO seem real and present. …

Constanze Stelzenmüller, a senior fellow with the Brookings Institution and frequent commentator on her native Germany, says even if Trump doesn’t win and cut off US support for NATO, damage has been done. “The reality is that in politics, just talking about this kind of thing, as a candidate who isn’t even elected yet, already has an impact on people’s expectations and on the relationship in the ‘now’ as opposed to in November or in January,” she says. “It is damaging the transatlantic relationship which is based on trust and the assumption that we have a broad commonality of interests and values now because Europeans understand that Trump is not a singular phenomenon, he is a symptom of a broader mood.”

That mood sees Americans turning away not just from NATO but from other international involvement as well. Erik Brattberg, a Swedish senior fellow with the McCain Institute on International Leadership, believes the transatlantic free-trade deal known as TTIP, already struggling under a supportive President Obama, would face certain doom under Trump. But Brattberg says there would be bigger things to worry about in that case, such as “what does the West actually stand for anymore?”

Donald Trump has concerned, and offended, the Europeans. And as this post shows, definitely the Germans.

Look for Donald Trump to further offend the Germans.

If Donald Trump does actually become the President of the United States, his simply holding that office will provide motivation to the Germans and other Europeans to further develop their militaries.

Just the prospect of a Donald Trump presidency has, in my view, already encouraged that process, as it seems to be beginning (e.g. Bundeswehr wants EU nationals to be soldiers and German Defense Minister states that Germany is now ready to lead Europe militarily).

This will not end well for the USA, whether Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton’s get elected as the next President of the United States (cf. Daniel 11:39).

Many German leaders are very concerned, and enough, in my view, to take militaristic steps, even if many do not think that is their nature (cf. Isaiah 10:7; see also Germany in Biblical Prophecy). Consider also that it appears that a Germanic-leader will become the King of the North, the Beast of the Sea, and 666 of biblical prophecy.

The USA needs prayer, national repentance, and the Kingdom of God.

Reuben Was in Palestine Until Deportation

Former WCG member Bert Otten of the Netherlands sent me a paper which included the following (the first five clues were in an earlier post:

6^th Clue: Reuben, wine!

And the children of Reuben built HESHBON, and Elealeh, and Kirjathaim, And Nebo, … and SHIBMAH: and gave other names unto the cities which they builded (Num 32:37-38).

And Moses gave unto the tribe of the children of Reuben inheritance according to their families. And their coast was from Aroer, that is on the bank of the river Arnon, and the city that is in the midst of the river, and all the plain by MEDEBA [Madaba in Jordan]; HESHBON, and all her cities that are in the plain; Dibon … and SIBMAH, … (Joshua 13:15-19).

For the fields of HESHBON languish, and the VINE of SIBMAH: the lords of the heathen have broken down the PRINCIPAL PLANTS thereof, they are come even unto Jazer, they wandered through the wilderness: HER BRANCHES are stretched out, they are gone over the sea. Therefore I will bewail with the weeping of Jazer the VINE of SIBMAH: I will water thee with my tears, O HESHBON, and Elealeh: for the shouting for thy summer fruits and for thy HARVEST is fallen (Isaiah 16:8-9).

O VINE of SIBMAH, I will weep for thee with the weeping of Jazer: THY PLANTS are gone over the sea, THEY REACH EVEN to the sea of Jazer: the spoiler is fallen upon THY SUMMER FRUITS and upon THY VINTAGE (Jer 48:32).

Jordanian Wine

Some time ago I watched an interview on CNN with an Arab viticulturist Omar b. Zumot, nearby Jordanian Madaba (Medeba of the Bible). He was the first viticulturist in Jordan. They were making wine in the tribal area of Reuben!

When I saw this interview I did not know yet about Sibmah’s and Heshbon’s notoriety for wine. Wouldn’t it be great if I could link up Reuben with wine in the Bible?, I thought. And then in writing about king Mesha (in the 5th clue) I discovered the viticulturist notoriety of Reubenite towns like Heshbon and Sibmah. And it is not just another mention of many. The Reuben tribal area, with Heshbon and Sibmah, are the only area and towns specifically mentioned with wine, with vinyards. They were famous for it in Israel!

Another indication: Reuben’s 4th son was named Carmi, which means my vineyard.

France: Wine Country

France is a wine country, it is the wine country of the world. The French have a long viticultural tradition. Often they are the biggest wine producer (some years Italy is biggest) and they have many different kinds of wines. Their long tradition in winemaking has led to very high standards.

Wine styles … All common styles of wine – red, rosé, white (dry, semi-sweet and sweet), sparkling and fortified – are produced in France. In most of these styles, the French production ranges from cheap and simple versions to some of the world’s most famous and expensive examples. An exception is French fortified wines, which tend to be relatively unknown outside France …

If there is one thing that most French wines have in common, it is that most styles have developed as wines meant to accompany food, be it a quick baguette, a simple bistro meal, or a full-fledged multi-course menu.

7^th Clue: Reuben: dignité, honneur, grandeur

Reuben, thou art my firstborn, my might, and the beginning of my strength, the EXCELLENCY of DIGNITY, and the EXCELLENCY of power (Genesis 49:3).

Dignity, honour …

Reuben would not be the most important, but he would still be important. He was still the eldest and first-born son. Being the firstborn gives dignity, honour, importance, grandeur, honneur. The phrase excellency of dignity is translated in other translations as:

-pre-eminence of dignity (ASV)

-pre-eminent in pride (RSV)

-first in pride (BBE)

-prééminent en dignité (DRB)

-supérieur en dignité (LSG & NEG).

French Culture

The above terminology sums it up and is more applicable to the French than anyone else. They have had the most dominant culture in Europe over the past 400 years. The upperclass, nobility, royalty, they all spoke French for centuries. For hundreds of years French was the international language, until the mid-twentieth century it was the diplomatic language.It was not until after World War II that English replaced French in importance. French is still the postal language.

French is ‘de la culture,‘ is allure, is grandeur – la plus belle langue – the most beautiful language, like the Frech are culture, grandeur and honneur.

The above is an example of the excellency of dignity, identifying the French with Reuben.

Honneur & Grandeur, Charles de Gaulle

A good example of French grandeur and honneur is Charles de Gaulle. Churchill and Roosevelt were not very fond of him, but could not ignore him. De Gaulle embodied France, and hence was grandeur and honneur. The Dutch often want to save their skin and their trade, for the French honour comes first, l’honneur! It has often made them arrogant in the eyes of others. The French armament industry, la Force de Frappe (French nuclear bombs), their permanent seat in the United Nations Security Council, they are all stakes to save French honour (l’honneur) in this Anglo-Saxon dominated world.

8^th Clue: Reuben, jealous of Ephraim

And now thy two sons, who were born … before I came unto thee into Egypt, are mine; Ephraim and Manasseh, even as Reuben and Simeon, shall be mine (Gen 48:5).

And the sons of REUBEN the first-born of Israel (for he was the FIRST-BORN; but, forasmuch as he defiled his father’s couch, HIS BIRTHRIGHT WAS GIVEN UNTO THE SONS OF JOSEPH the son of Israel; and the genealogy is not to be reckoned after the birthright. For Judah prevailed above his brethren, and of him came the prince; but the BIRTHRIGHT was Joseph’s), the sons of Reuben the first-born of Israel: Hanoch, and Pallu, Hezron, and Carmi (1Chron 5:1-3).

Reuben was the firstborn and from Judah came a prince, and later the Prince, but Ephraim (England) and Manasseh (USA), the sons of Joseph (Anglo-Saxon nations), got the birthright of the firstborn. They received the great blessing of national prosperity, the best parts of the earth and the (sea)gates of their enemies. They received the blessings of national greatness promised to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

Without knowing the above we see that French history and French spirit are dominated by jealousy towards England since the Hundred Years’ War (1339 – 1453). Again and again France tries to be the head (Louis XIV, Napoleon, Napoleon III), and again and again England prevails. Since 1815, since the battle of Waterloo, they have not waged war anymore against each other. Many times they have been allies over the past two centuries. In contrast the French were at war with the Germans (Prussians) three times in 75 years, 1870-71; 1914-1918 and 1939-1945.

One would expect a bigger dislike for Germans than for English – who helped them out twice against the Germans! – but no! There is a lot of French envy and jealousy towards the English. The Reuben – Joseph relationship between the French and English peoples put these things into perspective.

9^th Clue: Reuben, excellent, supérieur

Reuben, … my might, and the beginning of my strength, the excellency of dignity, and the EXCELLENCY of power (Gen 49:3, KJV)

Reuben, … my might, and the beginning of my strength; The pre-eminence of dignity, and the PRE-EMINENCE of power (Gen 49 :3, ASV).

Reuben! … My power, and beginning of my strength, The abundance of exaltation, And the ABUNDANCE of strength (Gen 49 :3, YLT).

There is a lot af strength, might, intelligence, superior thinking, among the French. In this clue I want to stress the positive sides of Reuben’s excellence, dignity and pre-eminence. First of all there are French literature, art, sculptors and scientists.

French writers and thinkers

As far as French writers, thinkers and philosophers are concerned, let me just name a few: Descartes, Montesquieu, Voltaire, Rousseau, Diderot, Zola, Sartre, Victor Hugo, Camus, Molière, Baudelaire Flaubert, etc. Also see:

Metric System

Geniality is often found in simple and plain things. The French metric system is an example of that. From 1790 to 1798 a committee of mathematicians and physicists designed the metric system for the French revolutionary government.

Every country had its own pounds, ounces and miles, not in alignment with each other, and with complicated measurements. One British pound of 1969 was 20 shillings and each shilling was 12 pence, so there were 240 pence to the pound.

There were 12 inches to the foot and I have forgotten about yards, furlongs and miles. Just try to calculate the surface of something.

During the French revolution the French came with a system based on the 10, the decimal system, in which the next measure was tenfold the first: 10 millimeter was 1 centimeter, 10 centimeter was 1 decimeter, 10 decimeter was 1 meter and 1000 meters was 1 kilometer. On top of that there was a perfect link to weights and cubic sizes. One cubic decimeter of water was 1 liter, weighing 1 kilogram. Super simple and genious at the same time! The Anglo-Saxon nations resisted the metric system for about 150 years, but most of them have given in … except for yards and miles in traffic.

Other benefits of French history are the Napoleonic Code or Civil Code. Since then we have seperation of Church and State and a bureaucratic registration of births, deaths and marriages, and a compulsary first name and family name for everyonIn the wake of the French Revolution Napoleon conquered Europe. In 1815 he lost it all and France was cut back to pre-Napoleonic times. The French left. However, much of the Code Civil stayed and the metric system conquered Europe.

Departments

Another smart system is the way departments are numbered. Nearly all départements are named after rivers and mountains. In this way one learns the mountains and rivers along with the departments, as they are alphabetically ordered. Ain becomes 01, Bouches du Rhöne (Marseille) 13, Nord (Lille) 59, Rhône (Lyon) 69, Seine (Paris) 75. The numbers of the departments are also the postal codes, so Paris is 75000. The arrondissements make up the final two figures, 75014 is the 14th arrondissement within Paris, 75000. On top of that the final two figures of motorcar numberplates are the number of the departement (and postal code). A car with 1234 AB 59 comes from le Nord, 1234 ABC 75 comes from Paris en 6789 XV 69 from le Rhône, so from Lyon. A bit complicated for foreigners, but very simple and ingenious for the French.

Armament Industry

The French have a lot of high technology, just think of the French armament industry. The five biggest arms exporters in 2010–14 were the United States, Russia, China, Germany and France.

Reuben, France, has an abundance of strength, excellency of dignity and power.

10^th Clue: Reuben, Gad & Manasseh

And Moses gave unto them, even to the children of Gad, and to the children of Reuben, and unto half the tribe of Manasseh the son of Joseph, the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites, and the kingdom of Og king of Bashan, the land, with the cities thereof in the coasts, even the cities of the country round about (Numbers 32:33).

With whom the Reubenites and the Gadites have received their inheritance, which Moses gave them, BEYOND JORDAN eastward, even as Moses the servant of the LORD gave them (Joshua 13:8).

And when they came unto the borders of Jordan, that are in the land of Canaan, the children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the half tribe of Manasseh built there an altar by Jordan, a great altar to see to (Joshua 22:10).

The Trans-Jordan Tribes

The Trans-Jordan tribes have a special relationship with each other, due to their geography and their history (Joshua-Judges).

They showed great independence by wanting to live outside the original borders of the Promised Land (Num 20:24; 32:7), and also in their construction of the Great Altar (Josh 22). Because of the River Jordan in the low Jordan valley these tribes were relatively ‘far away’ from the other tribes. They were frequently subjected by Moab and Aram.

This being ‘far away’ from the other tribes, this independence, can be noticed among all three tribes today. The USA (Manasseh) suffer from regularly returning isolationism, and today (written in 2003, invasion of Iraq) they operate mainly by themselves on the world stage. We dealt with France’s (Reuben) obstinate and independent attitude in world politics (think of its role in NATO). Switzerland (Gad) is so independent, that they did not even want to be a member of the United Nations for 45 years. None of these three are monarchies, all three of them are republics.

Reuben – Manasseh

There is a special bond between Reuben and half-Manasseh and we see this in the special relationship USA-France. The American Declaration of Independence is based on French writers, like Montesquieu. French intellectuals were a source of inspiration for the American Revolution (1776-1783). That revolution with its writings was an extra impetus for the French Revolution of 1789. The last degenerated into the Reign of Terror.

There remained a bond between the two countries. In 1803 Napoleon sold the last French possessions, the Louisiana Purchase, for 15 million dollars to the United States. The area included the whole mid-west, from New Orleans to the south of Canada and was bigger than the existing United States at the time.

The United States remained anti-English and pro-French, for in the War of 1812-1815, they fought at the side of Napoleon … against England. With the Louisiana Purchase quite a few French had become American, as Frenchmen had settled in the crescent from Québec to New Orleans: Québec, Trois-Rivières, Montréal, Detroit (d’étroit), Terre Haute, Dubuque, Des Moines, Saint Louis, Beaumont, Bâton Rouge, la Nouvelle Orléans.

To emphasize the bond between the two nations, the French made and gave the Statue of Liberty to the USA soon after the Centennial of the USA. They kept a 11.5 meters high copy which is in front of a bridge in the River Seine in Paris.

In World War I and II the Americans came twice to the aid of France and on top of that France received a lot through the Marshall Plan. French may resist Coca-Cola, McDonald’s and other americanising trends, but yet many French (Reuben) have a weakness for Americans (Manasseh). When they have to, many prefer speaking American English to British English.

Now although not all would agree with the above, I thought Bert Otten’s comments were a COG news item that some may find of interest. Since his paper was long, I only have put together the first five clues in WordPress format, but plan to have the others available at a later time.

The Day The Dollar Died, Part II

The reason the dollar is the world’s leading reserve currency is because there’s a very large liquid dollar-denominated bond market. Investors can go buy 30-day 10-year, 30-year Treasury notes, etc. The point is, there’s a deep, liquid dollar-denominated bond market to invest in that creates a lock-in effect. There is currently no equivalent bond market in SDRs. It will need to create one before SDRs can be considered a global reserve currency.

Well, last July, the IMF published a technical paper introducing the concept of a private SDR market… In the IMF’s vision, private companies and corporations can issue bonds denominated in SDRs. …

Yesterday I said September 4, 2016 could well go down as the day the dollar died. Why did I pick that date instead of September 30, the official date when the yuan is included in the IMF’s basket of currencies?

Because September 4 is when the leaders of the world’s larger economies will gather in Hangzhou, China for the G20 annual summit. This will be China’s coming-out party. This is China saying, “We are an equal partner, maybe more than the equal partner of the United States of America and Europe. The Day The Dollar Died Part I

Will history record September 4th, 2016 as the day the dollar died? Before continuing, let me make it clear that you aren’t going to wake up on September 5th to find anything noticeably different…

The dollar won’t lose its reserve currency status overnight. It won’t be instantaneously inflated into worthless piece of currency, and we aren’t going to see immediate 90% hyperinflation. None of these things are going to happen.

What I mean is that in the not-too-distant future, maybe five years, maybe three years, maybe less, we’ll look back and say, “That was the date when everything changed. That was the turning point for the dollar and we didn’t see it at the time.” But those who know what to look for will understand the significance of that date.

It all has to do with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and something called the Special Drawing Right, or SDR for short. … The dollar replaced sterling over a 30-year process. Before I explain, let me introduce myself.

Now, what does that mean exactly? After all, what do you care if the people in Asia, Europe or the Middle East suddenly decide the dollar no longer gets #1 status around the world?

As you’ll see, it means losing quite a lot.

And I’m not just talking about how you’ll pay a lot more for hotel rooms in Paris or London… or how you’d better get used to forking over $6 for a coffee on the Champs-Élysées.

Losing our #1 status means giving up a whole slew of benefits you never knew you had. …

Let’s be clear, on October 1st you’ll wake up just like any other day.

Traffic lights will still flash. Grocery stores will still take your money. Your ATM card will still work. Maybe you’ll notice a tick upward in the price of milk. But no big deal.

By the end of the week, maybe you’ll see the same happen at the gas station.

Everything will cost more to pick, ship or stock. So, soon, you’ll pay a little extra for apples at the fruit stand. At the coffee shop, they’ll tack another quarter on the price of a latte.

Online prices will go up when you buy anything tech, because all that’s imported. And it costs more to get it out for delivery. On Wall Street, all kinds of ledgers will start to ooze red.

The multi-nationals will get hit first.

And that’s where the crisis will accelerate…

As dollars lose clout, paying an overseas workforce will lose luster. Sweetheart import deals will dry up. So will international tax treaties. Until “cheap” goods no longer exist for Americans. …

As I said, right now there is no official way for you to own “world money” before it gets released on September 30th. As it stands right now, this new cash is ONLY for the financial elite. …

I have reported about Jim Rickards before. And once the USA does lose its status as the world’s reserve currency, the USA will experience problems 99% of Americans probably do not think is possible.

Now, this does not mean that the end can possibly come on September 30, 2016 (see America’s Day of Reckoning 2017 Dollar Collapse?), but it is certainly possible that the global elites may launch something then, which they ultimately hope will dethrone the USA dollar.

As far as “world money” goes, this seems to be a reference to Special Drawing Rights (SDR) that the International Monetary Fund (IMF) is involved in.  Here is what it says:

The SDR is an international reserve asset, created by the IMF in 1969 to supplement its member countries’ official reserves. As of March 2016, 204.1 billion SDRs (equivalent to about $285 billion) had been created and allocated to members. SDRs can be exchanged for freely usable currencies. The value of the SDR is currently based on a basket of four major currencies: the U.S. dollar, euro, the Japanese yen, and pound sterling. The basket will be expanded to include the Chinese renminbi (RMB) as the fifth currency, effective October 1, 2016. 

The role of the SDR

The SDR was created by the IMF in 1969 as a supplementary international reserve asset, in the context of the Bretton Woods fixed exchange rate system. A country participating in this system needed official reserves—government or central bank holdings of gold and widely accepted foreign currencies—that could be used to purchase its domestic currency in foreign exchange markets, as required to maintain its exchange rate. But the international supply of two key reserve assets—gold and the U.S. dollar—proved inadequate for supporting the expansion of world trade and financial flows that was taking place. Therefore, the international community decided to create a new international reserve asset under the auspices of the IMF.

Only a few years after the creation of the SDR, the Bretton Woods system collapsed and the major currencies shifted to floating exchange rate regimes. Subsequently, the growth in international capital markets facilitated borrowing by creditworthy governments and many countries accumulated significant amounts of international reserves. These developments lessened the reliance on the SDR as a global reserve asset. However, more recently, the 2009 SDR allocations totaling SDR 182.6 billion played a critical role in providing liquidity to the global economic system and supplementing member countries’ official reserves amid the global financial crisis.

The SDR is neither a currency, nor a claim on the IMF. Rather, it is a potential claim on the freely usable currencies of IMF members. Holders of SDRs can obtain these currencies in exchange for their SDRs in two ways: first, through the arrangement of voluntary exchanges between members; and second, by the IMF designating members with strong external positions to purchase SDRs from members with weak external positions. In addition to its role as a supplementary reserve asset, the SDR serves as the unit of account of the IMF and some other international organizations.  http://www.imf.org/external/np/exr/facts/sdr.htm

In the most recently concluded review (November 2015), the Executive Board decided that, effective October 1, 2016, the Chinese renminbi (RMB) will be included in the SDR basket as a fifth currency, along with the U.S. dollar, euro, Japanese yen and pound sterling. …

The following weights based on the new formula will be used to determine the amounts of each of the five currencies in the new SDR basket that will take effect on October 1, 2016:

• U.S. dollar 41.73 percent (compared with 41.9 percent at the 2010 Review)
• Euro 30.93 percent (compared with 37.4 percent at the 2010 Review)
• Chinese renminbi 10.92 percent
• Japanese yen 8.33 percent (compared with 9.4 percent at the 2010 Review)
• Pound sterling 8.09 percent (compared with 11.3 percent at the 2010 Review)

The amounts of each currency in the revised basket will be calculated on September 30, 2016, in accordance with the above-listed weights. The calculation will be made on the basis of the average exchange rates for these currencies over the three months ending on that date, in a manner that ensures that the value of the SDR in terms of the U.S. dollar will be the same on September 30, 2016 under the current and revised valuation baskets. The IMF will publish illustrative currency amounts in the weeks leading up to October 1, 2016.

Until the effectiveness of the new SDR basket on October 1, 2016, the SDR basket and valuation will continue to comprise four currencies (U.S. dollar, euro, Japanese yen and pound sterling) and the amounts of these currencies in the basket will continue to be based on their respective weights at the time of the 2010 Review as indicated in the text table above. https://www.imf.org/external/np/exr/facts/sdrcb.htm

While this move WILL NOT immediately dethrone the USA dollar, putting the Chinese currency in as 10.92% is significant. The above makes it look like the Euro, more than the US dollar, is being affected by this change.

James Dale Davidson of Strategic Investment has a view about a USA economic collapse similar to Jim Rickards’, but without a September 4th or 30th date:

There is nothing — absolutely nothing — that Washington can do to stave off the financial bloodshed that will be unleashed on millions of Americans as the dollar is dethroned.

For the unprepared, investment accounts will suffer as the stock market plummets 60% (or more), streets will be littered with foreclosed signs as millions are evicted from their once-cherished homes that were suddenly stripped of 50% of their value, millions more will be decimated as unemployment triples, while those on the sidelines, who think they are out of harm’s way, will be shocked as their life savings are vaporized by as much as 80%.

In over 30 years as an economist, I’ve predicted some of the biggest economic and geopolitical events in our lifetime, but I’ve never been more confident — than I am now — about what’s to come.

Remember, in 1987, I was one of the first to sound the alarm that the Soviet Union was about to collapse … in 1989, I predicted the Japanese depression that struck just one year later … I predicted the dot-com crash in 1999 … and I predicted the subprime mortgage crises, along with the collapse of the real estate market, years in advance.

Washington, Wall Street and most of America have ignored my dire warnings; to do it again would be a very dangerous risk to take.

And while America’s day of reckoning is unavoidable, there are practical ways to prepare — at this very moment — so that you can stay safe, and even prosper.

He also has a video where he claims that 57 nations have gotten together with a plot to overthrow the economic dominance of the USA. He claims this will result in a 60% reduction in the stock market and a 50% reduction in property values. He basically claims this will happen sometime in 2016 (watch ).

Getting back to the video transcript, James Dale Davidson said:

All this 57-nation alliance has to do is complete phase IV of their plan…

Phase IV: Trigger the Dollar

Phase IV is to pull the trigger on the dollar collapse.

And they will do this by selling it in droves. …

Now, as this 57-nation alliance dumps the dollar, the greenback will start to collapse.

And fast.

The Federal Reserve knows this.

Which is why they are going in and buying their own debt. Just take a look at this chart. Our own Federal Reserve now holds more of its own debt than any other time in history. Nobody else will buy it. So they have to go in and buy it.

The time will come when the US dollar is totally worthless and will stop being a world reserve currency.

The Bible also has an end time prophecy that those who read it may want to run:

2 Then the Lord answered me and said:

And make it plain on tablets,

What is this end time prophecy about that should cause people to run? It is a prophecy about debt accumulation:

6 “Will not all these take up a proverb against him,
And a taunting riddle against him, and say,
‘Woe to him who increases
What is not his — how long?
And to him who loads himself with many pledges’?
7 Will not your creditors rise up suddenly?
Will they not awaken who oppress you?
And you will become their booty.
8 Because you have plundered many nations,
All the remnant of the people shall plunder you (Habakkuk 2:6-8)

In a video transcript, James Dale Davidson says:

One day … maybe in a week from now, maybe in a few months from now … the full force of the financial hurricane will hit our shores.

You will wake up to the reality that the dollar is no longer the “world reserve currency.”

A white paper distributed by Project Censored describes what that world will look like:

The impact on daily living for the U.S. population could be severe. In addition to increased costs, states and cities will see their pension funds drained. The government will be forced to sell off infrastructure, including roads and transport, to private corporations. The hurricane is already heading to our shores. Make sure your house isn’t on a sandy beach, but rather built high upon a rock.

You have to prepare, and you have to prepare today!

Now the video essentially ends up being a sales pitch for a newsletter I have never read. In addition to gold, he makes comments about stocks and various currencies. The same is basically true for Jim Rickard’s pitch.

So, why bring any of this up?

Because, despite having misunderstandings of prophetic events, even secular sources are seeing that there is a trend to topple the USA as the world’s dominant economic power.

And, according to biblical prophecy that will happen–and it will be worse for the USA than what James Dale Davidson is claiming.

The Bible shows that a powerful international economic leader will arise (cf. Revelation 18) and it will NOT be the USA.

The USA, after having financial and other troubles (Mark 13:6-8) will finally be taken over. Not just financially, but according to the Bible militarily. Normally I would just quote Daniel 11:39, but this time first let’s also look at an earlier verse:

23 And after the league is made with him he shall act deceitfully, for he shall come up and become strong with a small number of people. 24 He shall enter peaceably, even into the richest places of the province; and he shall do what his fathers have not done, nor his forefathers: he shall disperse among them the plunder, spoil, and riches; and he shall devise his plans against the strongholds, but only for a time. (Daniel 11:23-24)

The ‘he’ is the final European King of the North power, called the Beast of the Sea in Revelation 13:1-10. Notice that he gets in deceitfully and makes plans against “the strongholds.” Notice what Daniel says this leader will later do:

39 Thus he shall act against the strongest fortresses with a foreign god, which he shall acknowledge, and advance its glory; and he shall cause them to rule over many, and divide the land for gain. (Daniel 11:39)

In the 21st century, the strongest fortresses belong to the USA and to a much lessor extent, its Anglo-Saxon descended allies. And while some do not believe that America’s European friends could betray it, the Bible teaches otherwise:

1 How lonely sits the city
That was full of people!
How like a widow is she,
Who was great among the nations!
The princess among the provinces
Has become a slave!

2 She weeps bitterly in the night,
Her tears are on her cheeks;
Among all her lovers
She has none to comfort her.
All her friends have dealt treacherously with her;
They have become her enemies. (Lamentations 1:1-2)

The USA and Great Britain (including its Anglo-Commonwealth members, like Australia and Canada) were “great among the nations.” And the Bible is clear that betrayal is coming from national FRIENDS!

That betrayal will result in the complete end of USA dominance in the world.

Politicians will NOT be able to save the USA, nor its Anglo-Saxon descended allies (UK, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand).

The total end of the USA dollar will happen. But it will not be as soon as James Dale Davidson or Jim Rickards seem to be claiming.

THE MUM at the centre of Scotland’s incredible “poltergeist” case broke her silence yesterday.

Catherine Shreenan told of the stress the whole affair had placed her under – but insisted she didn’t want to discuss the bizarre occurrences at her home.

The Record revealed on Saturday how police who went to the Rutherglen house where Ms Shreenan lives with her teenage son had themselves witnessed a series of unexplained happenings.

Called by the frantic mum to deal with what was described as a “disturbance” officers saw clothes flying across a room, lights going off and when they went back on the lampshades were upside down and oven doors opening and closing.

A chihuahua dog which was playing in the garden was then discovered sitting on top of a seven-foot hedge.

Yesterday Ms Shreenan said: “It’s placed enormous stress on the family. I’ve had people, teenagers, going past my home singing Ghostbusters.” …

Police were called to the house on Monday and Tuesday last week.

The situation has been discussed at high levels within Police Scotland, with senior officers perplexed as to how they best handle the incidents.

Police sources said officers with 20 years experience at the force had witnessed the strange events and nobody knew how to proceed.

The source said: “One problem we’ve got is where we go from here as no crime has been established, so what else can we do but deal with any reports of disturbances.”

Police officers who called to the house, near Glasgow, last week reportedly saw the family’s pet Chihuahua levitating and clothes flying across rooms.The mother and teenager contacted officers after being left “extremely distressed” by the “violent and unexplained circumstances”, according to insiders.A baffled source said: “These were incidents that were witnessed by our own officers. Incidents that are not easily explained.

“But officers with more than 20 years’ service are saying they’ve never seen anything like this.”It really is something that down-to-earth police officers are having trouble getting their heads round.”How do you handle what, despite us liking to use the word, has been described as a poltergeist.”

Another insider said: “The officers witnessed the lights going off, clothes flying across the room and the dog sitting on top of the hedge.”The officers called their superiors who also attended thinking the cops were perhaps being a bit silly but it’s being taken very seriously.”The fact it was witnessed by our officers has lent itself to a very different but active inquiry.” http://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/700059/ghost-poltergeist-Scotland-South-Lanarkshire

The fact that the reports say that this was witnessed by police officers, indicates that this is not just a delusional report, but that something, apparently demonic, was witnessed.

Yet publicly claiming something came from demons is not what most modern government officials will do. So, they are at a loss on this.

Here is how Dictionary.com defines poltergeist:

a ghost or spirit supposed to manifest its presence by noises, knockings, etc.

The ‘spirit’ doing what has been described in Scotland certainly sounds as if it is demonic.

We should expect to see increases in such demonic ‘paranormal’ activity.

Why?

Notice the following prophecy written by the Apostle Paul:

3 Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, 4 who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.

5 Do you not remember that when I was still with you I told you these things? 6 And now you know what is restraining, that he may be revealed in his own time. 7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way. (2 Thessalonians 2:3-7)

After the restrainer is out of the way, we will see more signs and lying wonders:

8 And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming. 9 The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, 10 and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, 12 that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness. (2 Thessalonians 2:8-12)

Thus we see that, in the New Testament, the Apostle Paul warned that towards the end, almost all would be deceived by signs and lying wonders.

Deception must be clever to work, and would need some type of ‘verification’ to be believed by the masses.

Throughout history multitudes have already been deceived by signs and wonders coming from statues and alleged apparitions of Jesus and Mary, as well as other demonic manifestations. They have felt that this was ‘proof’ that some false religion was true. But Christians are supposed to walk by faith and not sight (2 Corinthians 5:7). Also notice something that the Apostle John was inspired to write:

1 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; (1 John 4:1)

While most, incorrectly, feel that they can properly test/discern the spirits, that is not the case. Even most real Christians in these end times are not doing that correctly (cf. Revelation 3:14-19; see also How To Determine If Someone is a True Prophet of God). However, the ‘Laodicean Christians‘ will not be deceived like the non-Christians will be–but they will have problems because of their improper priorities (consider also the video 17 Laodicean Errors in Prophecy).

In the future, the “interfaith movement” will likely employ “Mary,” signs, and other ideas as tools for improper unity for those who are not true, biblical, Christians (see Will the Interfaith Movement Lead to Peace or Sudden Destruction?).

Satan has a plan, and deceit, signs, and lying wonders are part of it (see also Satan’s Plan).

Having ‘verified’ paranormal activity will condition people to accept as real, improper manifestations in the future.

The Book of Revelation shows that a massive deceit, in the form of wrong worship, will affect the world:

7 It was granted to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them. And authority was given him over every tribe, tongue, and nation. 8 All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

9 If anyone has an ear, let him hear. 10 He who leads into captivity shall go into captivity; he who kills with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.

11 Then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth, and he had two horns like a lamb and spoke like a dragon. 12 And he exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence, and causes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. 13 He performs great signs, so that he even makes fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men. 14 And he deceives those who dwell on the earth by those signs which he was granted to do in the sight of the beast, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who was wounded by the sword and lived. (Revelation 13:7-14)

We are getting closer to the fulfillment of these verses in Revelation. Likely within the next decade or two.

Angela Gregory says more and more men in their late teens and early 20s are suffering from erectile dysfunction.

She puts the blame on people becoming addicted to watching online porn.

There are no official figures but she says a lot of the time it is via smartphones and laptops.

“What I’ve seen over the last 16 years, particularly the last five years, is an increase in the amount of younger men being referred,” she said.

“Our experience is that historically men that were referred to our clinic with problems with erectile dysfunction were older men whose issues were related to diabetes, MS, cardio vascular disease.

“These younger men do not have organic disease, they’ve already been tested by their GP and everything is fine.

This is just another problem with pornography. Pornography is bad.

What is it?

Porn is any material (words, sounds, pictures) designed to be sexually arousing. Anatomy pictures may be sexually explicit, but not intended to be arousing. That’s the difference.

How big is the porn industry?

Almost all adults have seen some type of pornographic material by choice or accident. Since the arrival of the internet, pornography is far more readily available and less regulated.

Around 25 percent of all internet searches are for pornographic content, and on average almost 30,000 people are looking at porn at any given second.

While I knew that pornography fueled the early rise of the internet, the amount of pornography searches seems astronomical. This is wrong for people to do and is not good for them.

Notice some statements in the Bible from Jesus and the Apostle Paul:

27 “You have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’  28 But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart. (Matthew 5:27-28)

18 Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body.  (1 Corinthians 6:18)

Adultery is prohibited by the seventh commandment (see also What Did Jesus Teach About the Ten Commandments?).

Jesus and the Apostle Paul warned against attempting to provoke, stir up, or mentally succumb to sexual lust. Thus, they are also condemning pornography, including dressing inappropriately (see also 1 Timothy 2:8-9).

Notice something from the Apostle James:

12 Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him. 13 Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone. 14 But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed. 15 Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death. (James 1:12-15)

When one flees sexual immorality, one resists temptation. Notice also something else from James:

7 Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. 8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. (James 4:7-8)

People are not to be ‘double-minded,’–they need to keep away from pornography. Satan wants humans to accept the falsehoods associated with pornography.

The Old Testament also had prohibitions related to pornography:

15 He who walks righteously and speaks uprightly,
He who despises the gain of oppressions,
Who gestures with his hands, refusing bribes,
Who stops his ears from hearing of bloodshed,
And shuts his eyes from seeing evil:
16 He will dwell on high;
His place of defense will be the fortress of rocks;
Bread will be given him,
His water will be sure.  (Isaiah 33:15-16)

1 I have made a covenant with my eyes; Why then should I look upon a young woman? (Job 31:1).

24 To keep you from the evil woman,
From the flattering tongue of a seductress.
25 Do not lust after her beauty in your heart,
Nor let her allure you with her eyelids.
26 For by means of a harlot
A man is reduced to a crust of bread;
And an adulteress will prey upon his precious life.
27 Can a man take fire to his bosom,
And his clothes not be burned?
28 Can one walk on hot coals,
And his feet not be seared? (Proverbs 6:24-28)

26 Therefore I will uncover your skirts over your face,
That your shame may appear.
27 I have seen your adulteries
And your lustful neighings,
The lewdness of your harlotry,
Your abominations on the hills in the fields. (Jeremiah 13:26-27)

15 “Woe to him who gives drink to his neighbor,
Pressing him to your bottle,
Even to make him drunk,
That you may look on his nakedness!
16 You are filled with shame instead of glory.
You also — drink!
And be exposed as uncircumcised!
The cup of the Lord’s right hand will be turned against you,
And utter shame will be on your glory. (Habakkuk 2:15-16)

How porn-purveyors view pornography sounds a lot like “lustful neighings.” The righteous turn their eyes away from pornography. Many are not ashamed and will not blush when they are overly-exposing themselves. No one is clearly to trick someone into seeing their nakedness, including using intoxicating substances to do that.

How is Pornography Harmful?

Frank York, former editor in Public Policy for Focus on the Family (a pro-family political and educational organization) as well as writer and researcher on pornography, and Jan LaRue, Chief Counsel, Concerned Women for America, assert, “The most common damage, the one that affects everyone who views porn, is that it warps the person’s perception of people, relationships, and sex” (2002, p. 14). Pornography teaches unrealistic and inappropriate sexual expectations, decreases satisfaction with monogamy and lowers family loyalties, objectifies and degrades women, links sex with violence and children, encourages promiscuity, and increases susceptibility to sexually acting out in ways harmful to others (Cline, 2002).

Gary R. Brooks (1995), psychologist and assistant chief of the psychology service at the Department of Veteran Affairs in Temple, Texas, calls the affect of pornography on people’s perceptions “The Centerfold Syndrome.” In his book, The Centerfold Syndrome, Dr. Brooks (1995) explains that pornography alters people’s perceptions in the following ways:

• Voyeurism. Pornography teaches its users to focus on looking at people instead of forming real relationships.

• Objectification. Men, women, and children are portrayed as sexual objects, whose worth lies in the size and shape of their body parts.

• Validation. After repeatedly seeing people in an idealized form, pornography users begin to judge people’s worth by their physical attractiveness. They feel masculine or feminine only when they are with beautiful people, and are less likely to be committed when their partner goes through life-changes (age, childbearing, etc.) that decrease their youthfulness or good looks.

• Trophyism. Romantic partners are trophies to be displayed and owned, not to be treated as real people.

• Fear of true intimacy. Because people portrayed in pornographic pictures have no demands or expectations beyond sexual-arousal and pleasure, pornography users do not learn how to form real relationships with others. They do not learn how to be selfless, sacrificing, and committed; thus, they come to fear true intimacy that requires them to relate emotionally and spiritually.

The sexual promiscuity encouraged by pornography also increases out-of wedlock pregnancies and the spreading of sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) such as human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). Teens are particularly vulnerable to this. According to the American Academy of Pediatrics Committee on Public Education (2001): “Adolescents have the highest STD rates. Approximately one fourth of sexually active adolescents become infected with an STD each year, accounting for 3 million cases, and people under the age of 25 account for two thirds of all STDs in the United States” (¶ 2). In pornography, those shown in it, often are falsely implying that they will provide sexual ‘love’ to those who they do not care for at all. Generally speaking (for those not forced into it), they just are in it for the money. They generally have no intention to provide what they pretend.

Pornography , online or otherwise, damages men and women, physically, emotionally, sexually, and spiritually.

World powers urged Russia and Ukraine to refrain from ratcheting up a confrontation over Crimea as President Vladimir Putin bolstered the disputed peninsula’s military with some of his army’s most advanced air-defence missile systems.

The European Union said there was no independent confirmation of claims that Ukrainian agents had killed two Russian servicemen in Crimea. Putin pledged a “very serious” response as he blamed Kiev for pursuing “terror” activities. The 28-member bloc called on both sides to refrain from intensifying what has led to the worst diplomatic standoff between the two countries since a 2015 truce eased hostilities in Ukraine’s separatist conflict. Germany said that Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier will meet his Russian counterpart, Sergei Lavrov, next week in Russia.

“We reiterate our condemnation and non-recognition of the illegal annexation of Crimea,” European Commission spokesman Alexandre Polack said in Brussels on Friday. “There has been neither concrete evidence provided by Russia sustaining its claim nor any independent confirmation of the claims made by Russian authorities.” …

Russia deployed S-400 Triumph air defence systems in Crimea, the Moscow-based RIA Novosti news service reported on Friday. Putin may cut diplomatic ties with Ukraine if there’s no other option left, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said, according to Interfax, another news service. German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier urged Russia and Ukraine to reduce tensions over Crimea amid what he said was contradictory evidence from the two countries of an alleged attack on the peninsula.

Germany is concerned about worsening security in Crimea and all sides “must refrain from anything that may lead to a further deterioration of the situation,” Steinmeier told reporters after talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in the Urals city of Yekaterinburg on Monday. There’s still “no full clarity” about what happened “and we’re waiting for the results of investigations by the Russian and Ukrainian sides,” he said.

There’s no need at this point for the “extreme measure” of breaking off diplomatic relations with Ukraine, Lavrov said. It’s important to stabilize the situation and “not give in to emotions,” though Russia’s ready to provide “irrefutable evidence” that Ukraine planned attacks in Crimea to destabilize the peninsula, he said.

It is not good that the situation in Ukraine and Crimea has heated up. As I have written before, the past few years have been difficult for those in Ukraine. And for various reasons, for many in Russia as well.

There are ethnic and other ties in the region.

The Bible discusses the births of many people and many nations in Genesis chapter 10. Actually, many people refer to this chapter as the origin of nations. And it is here that we get some insight into who the Russian peoples are:

Now this is the genealogy of the sons of Noah: Shem, Ham, and Japheth. And sons were born to them after the flood. The sons of Japheth were Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshech, and Tiras (Genesis 10:1-2, NKJV throughout unless otherwise indicated).

Starting with Adam (the first man), the above is basically repeated later in the Bible:

Adam, Seth, Enosh, Cainan, Mahalalel, Jared, Enoch, Methuselah, Lamech, Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth. The sons of Japheth were Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshech, and Tiras. (1 Chronicles 1:1-5)

Some believe that Meshech is the Hebrew term from whence came the name Moscow. Tubal is considered by some to also be associated with the Russian peoples.

Regarding Meschech, notice:

…the Muskai, or Moschians, who are probably identical with the Meshech of Holy Scripture (Rawlinson G. The Five Great Monarchies of the Ancient Eastern World. Published 1881 by Dodd, Mead, and Company, New York Original from Harvard University (Google Books) Page 64).

Some 1000 years ago an ancient Slav tribe, the Meshchera, settled in these parts, not far from present-day Moscow. Since then the region has been called Meschera (Sputnik. Published 1997 by Novosti Press Agency Original from the University of California, Page 96).

Three times the Old Testament uses the expression “the prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal” (Ezekiel 38:2,3;39:1). Here is one of them that also mentions Gog and Magog:

Gog, of the land of Magog, the prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal (Ezekiel 38:2).

Notice also the following:

The Scythian Tauri in the Crimea were so called. The Araxes also was called “Rhos.” The modern Russians may have hence assumed their name, as Moscow and Tobolsk from Meshech and Tubal, though their proper ancient name was Slavi, or Wends. Hengstenberg supports English Version, as “Rosh” is not found in the Bible. “Magog was Gog’s original kingdom, though he acquired also Meshech and Tubal, so as to be called their chief prince. (Jamieson-Fausset-Brown Bible Commentary)

The late Herbert W. Armstrong wrote:

“Gog” in the land of “Magog” is the vast regions of the U.S.S.R. in northern Eurasia extending from the Baltic to the Pacific. “Meshech” is Moscow, “Tubal” is Tobol ‘sk (Armstrong HW. Why Russia Will Not Attack the United States, reprint 1980, p. 8).

The same reprint booklet states:

Rosh is the ancient Hebrew name for the Russ (“blonds”) who settled in the plains of Eastern Europe in the ninth century A.D. They gave their name to the Russian nation. The people of Rosh are among the White Russians of Byelorussia today. Living next to the people of Rosh are Meshech and Tubal…Josephus calls them the Moschevi and Thobelites…Together, the Caucasian branches of Meshech and Tubal form the two distinct branches of the Great Russians of today (pp. 10,11).

It may be of interest to note that the official name of the Russian Federation is Rossiyskaya Federatsiya and hence bears a similarity to the Hebrew word Rosh.

The late Dr. Herman Hoeh wrote the following:

Origin of Word “Russia”

What is the origin of the word “Russian” — the “Rosh” of Ezekiel 38:2 (when properly translated)?
The INTERNATIONAL STANDARD BIBLE ENCYCLOPAEDIA gives the answer. Here, under the article “Rosh”, we find that a vast area of the Mesopotamian Valley was called “the land of Rashu!” The word “Russ” or “Rosh” means blonde. And in ancient Mesopotamia lived the blonde children of Keturah and Abraham mentioned in Genesis 25:1-6. They founded the Kingdom of Mitanni, named after Midian and Medan.
In modern times the name “Russ” was first applied to Russia because of the blond people of White Russia who live next to the people of Meshech and Tubal. (See ENCY. BRIT., art. “Russia”.) These blonds are quite different from the Great Russians. The White Russians are related to the Asshurim of North Germany and to the Letushim and other Abrahamic tribes along the Baltic. They are the main body of the people of Medan and Midian who proceeded north into Russia centuries ago! Herodotus mentions that the “Matienians” from the land of Rosh were associated with the people of Meshech and Tubal! (Thalia, 94.) And Pliny the Roman natural historian speaks of the “Matiani” as moving into Russia through the Caucasus (BK. VI, sec. xviii of NATURAL HISTORY). That is the true origin of the word “Russian”.

And Little Russians, too!

Not all Russians are Great Russians and White Russians. Some are called “Little Russians”. They live — in the Ukraine and the eastern parts of Romania and Poland. They are often called Ukrainians or Ruthenians. There are about 50 million of them! Who are these people?
The MEDES! The sons of Madai! Here is the proof!
In Genesis 10:2 we have Madai, the son of Japheth listed. Now check in an exhaustive concordance. You will find the original Hebrew word translated into English as “Mede” or “Median” is always Madai. Madai is the father of the Medes. The Medes used to be associated with the Persians. You will read about them especially in the book of Daniel. But by the time of Nehemiah the Persians were much more prominent. Today there are no Medes left in Persia. The Medes are gone. Certainly a great branch of the human family could not suddenly vanish from the earth!
Indeed they did not. Throughout South Russia — in the Ukraine — four centuries before Christ the Medes were beginning to settle. Here is what the historian Herodotus wrote of these people: “They say that they are a colony of the Medes. How they can have been a colony of the Medes I cannot compehend; but anything may happen in course of time” (Terpsichore, 9).
Herodotus, like many moderns, was prone to believe that the people who inhabited Mesopotamia and the “Bible lands” must be living there today. But they are not. The Arabs have taken their place!
The fact that the Medes are the Little Russians today is further amplified by Pliny in his NATURAL HISTORY, bk. VI, sec. xi. He mentions “the river Don, where the inhabitants are… said to be descended from the Medes”!

It may also be of interest to note that Ukraine’s capital Kiev was once the capital of Kieven Rus’ in the Middle Ages. There have long been ties between Ukraine, Crimea, and Russia.

Herodotus claimed that there were six different tribes/families of Medes. Herodotus identified the tribes of the Medes as Busae, Parataceni/Paratakeni, Struchates/Strukhates, Arizanti, Budii, and the Magi (Herodotus: A New and Literal Version with a Geographical and General Index by Henry Cary. Histories, book 1, chapter 101. Translated by Henry Cary. Harper, 1896. Original from the University of Virginia, Digitized Jan 23, 2009, p. 46).

Here is one report about the six tribes:

• The Busae group is thought to derive from the Persian term buza meaning indigenous (i.e. not Iranian). Whether this was based on an originally Iranian term, or their own name, is unknown.

• The second group is called the Paraetaceni, or Parae-tak-(eni) in Persian, and denotes nomadic inhabitants of the mountains of Paraetacene. This name recalls the Scythian Para-la-ti, the people of Kolaxis, believed to represent the common people in general, but whom Herodotus calls the “Royal Scythians”.

• The third group is called Stru­khat.

• The fourth group is the Arizanti, whose name is derived from the words Arya (noble), and Zantu (tribe, clan).

• The fifth group were the Budii, found also among the Black Sea Scythians as Budi-ni. Buddha was of the tribe Budha, the Saka (eastern Scythian) form of the name.

• The sixth tribe were the Magi…They were a hereditary caste of priests of the Zurvanism religion that evolved out of Zoroastrianism. The name Magi implies a link with the Sumerians, who called their language Emegir, over time becoming simplified to Magi. Hungarian tradition also traces pre-European Magyar (Hungarian) ancestry back to the Magi. In time, the Sumerian-influenced religion of the Magi was suppressed in favour of a more purely Iranian form of Zoroastrianism, itself evolved from its somewhat dualist beginnings into the monotheistic faith that it is today (also known as Parsi-ism). As Dr. Hoeh suggested, some of the Russians themselves appear to have been from the Medes. Notice the following account:

But how are we to explain the name Russia? The old-fashioned view was to derive the word from the Rhoxolani. This, however, has long been abandoned. One thing is certain, namely, that these Rhoxolani were of Oriental descent, a Medic or Iranic tribe. They disappear from history, having, like so many other tribes — as, for instance, the Pechenegs and the Khozars—been swallowed up by the huge waves of immigration which overflowed the country (Morfill WR. Russia. Published 1890 by T.F. Unwin, London).

There are many disputes among academics as to who derived from whom, thus it is not completely clear, for example, that the Rhoxolani were Medes who went to Russia. The Bible has several end time prophecies concerning the Medes (Isaiah 13:17-19) and the kings of the Medes (Jeremiah 51:11, 28-29) that involve military action.  Various ones in Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk, Russia, and elsewhere are part of the descendants of the Medes, as likely are some in Moldova.

If the Rhoxolani were Medes, then it would seem to be consistent with certain biblical prophecies.

Notice also the following:

Today the people who constituted the empire of the Medes may be found in western Russia, specifically the Ukraine and Volhynia. (White C. The Great German Nation: Origins and Destiny. AuthorHouse, 2007, p. 285)

While some/many in Ukraine descended from the Medes, so have some/many in Russia. There are connections, despite the current military tensions.

The Bible shows that war is in the prophesied future for some or all of Ukraine/Crimea (watch the video Ukraine in Prophecy?).

Those in Ukraine, Russia, and Crimea need our prayers and the good news of the coming Kingdom of God.

Barack Obama says he will send a Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP) bill to the US Congress:

The Trans-Pacific Partnership free trade deal, dismissed as inadequate by Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump, would help American companies, UPS Chairman and CEO David Abney told CNBC on Monday.

The agreement could increase U.S. exports by 20 percent, while cutting tariffs and red tape, Abney said in a “Squawk Box” interview. “It [also] opens up markets to U.S. companies, especially those small and mid-sized businesses companies.”

President Barack Obama on Friday said the White House will be sending Congress the bill to implement the free trade deal with 11 nations including Japan, Singapore, and Australia.

“The [Obama] administration is pushing this,” said Abney. “They, in fact, gave the 30-day notice of intent to act just last week. It’s a measure of the lunacy of this election that neither candidate is robustly defending the TPP, and the task of making the case for it has been offshored, so to speak, to Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong:

The Bible tells of a time when Asian powers will form a militarily confederation (cf. Jeremiah 50:9, 41-42) just prior to the gathering at Armageddon (Revelation 16:12-16).

Wavering by the USA on TPP or other matters will encourage Japan, among other nations in Asia, to further ramp up their militaries. Consider also something that Fidel V. Ramos, a former president of the Philippines wanted, when he wrote:

…the urgent task for Asian statesmen over the next 5-10 years will be to replace the region’s Pax Americana, which has guaranteed regional stability for decades, with a more comprehensive Pax Asia-Pacifica that is built on inclusiveness and burden-sharing. The fact that Fidel Ramos hopes for/expects it within the 5 -10 years after 2011 is also of interest as it is now 5 year out. While ‘Pax-Americana has not been replaced, this ‘replacement’ could be is consistent with some of my own prophetic understanding of these matters (though Fidel Ramos’ timing may be premature on this). Any Pax Asia-Pacifica that replaces “Pax-Americana” would suggest that many nations in Asia expect to have some type of confederation or other agreement with the major powers in Asia, like China.

There’s one hot-button issue in this campaign that exemplifies what people see as wrong with the system: The Trans-Pacific Partnership.

Negotiated in secret under the advisement of multinational corporations, the TPP gives handouts to the multinational corporate class at the expense of the middle class. It pits workers here against those abroad, boosting profits of multinational corporations while our workers see downward pressure on wages. It allows fossil fuel corporations to sue governments in private tribunals to overturn policies that protect our families and our environment. It gives the pharmaceutical industry monopoly protections while consumers endure skyrocketing prices for medicine.

Despite these concerns, it is an open secret that an overwhelming number of Republicans and a few of their Democratic counterparts are quietly seeking to push TPP through during the lame-duck session of Congress.

With a lame duck vote, members of Congress who lost their November elections would still be able to throw their weight behind the extraordinarily unpopular deal. Newly elected members would not have a voice. And re-elected legislators would feel free to take a controversial vote that would please their corporate benefactors, confident that voter anger over their decision will subside in the two years before their next election.

The TPP is a trade pact signed last October by 12 countries led by the US including Canada, Mexico, Peru, Chile, Australia and New Zealand. The Asian members are Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam and Brunei.

As far as trade deals go, in general, they are supposed to benefit both parties involved as trade itself is generally voluntary.

Yet as I warned about trade talks in the past, ultimately, some of the deals will not be good for the United States of America nor its Anglo-allies like Canada, Australia, or New Zealand who are parties to TPP, nor the UK which is not (though because of Brexit, it might want to be).

Trade disputes are likely to be one of the events that will help trigger the coming Great Tribulation (Matthew 24:21).

Europe is watching these TPP negotiations, while it works on large and small trade deals itself. There is a deal called TTIP which European leaders seem to believe will help propel European leadership in the 21st century. The current political movement in the the presidential race against TPP (as well as Brexit) are concerns in Europe. Notice the following headline:

As I have written for years, I believe that the time will come when trade disputes will prove disastrous for the USA.

We will see if TPP makes it and what the ramifications of the elections in the USA will have on trade. Ultimately, there will be a major trade dispute that the Europeans will likely point to as part of their justification to eliminate the USA (cf. Daniel 11:39).
